3001  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Do you trust the co-vid19 vaccine ? on: July 10, 2021, 04:20:05 PM
Got yesterday my second injection from Pfizer / Biontech. So far I am still alive, just have some mild headaches and feel a bit sleepy, except that I am totally fine. My first injection was Astra Zeneca, so I tried out two vaccines now. Almost everybody from my friends and family got vaccinated already and nobody had any sever side effects. I think the vaccines are harmless and can make a huge difference for keepin the new corona numbers relative low. At the moment we see vaccination rates of 55-65%, but we need to get up to 80% to reach herd immunity.
3002  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ⚽UEFA EURO 2020 Discussion Thread | Current Phase: Finals in June 2021! on: July 09, 2021, 10:27:53 AM
For me this is going to be a clear England victory. Let's say both teams are equally strong and have a 50/50 chance of winning. There are more factors we need to consider. The first factor that plays into the hands of England is the location. Playing in the Wembley stadium means a lot for the English team. The second factor are the fans. We have seen in the game against Denmark what the difference Fans can make. If there will be again guys with laser pointers blinding the goal keeper, Italy will be doomed.
3003  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Life Expectancy = 73 | Median Covid Death Age = 80 on: July 09, 2021, 08:57:13 AM
Life expectancy of a 80 year old can't be 73 years. The life expectancy changes the older you get. If you are 30 now, your expectancy is maybe 73. But once you reach 73 your expectancy will grow fast. Since you haven't died yet, the risks of an early death are not applicable for you anymore. So the real expectancy for the old people will be more like 85+ years.
3004  Other / Off-topic / Re: Microsoft Issues Warning: Update Your Windows PC Immediately on: July 09, 2021, 08:49:35 AM
Thanks for this info, I updated my l windows straightaway this morning.I am one of these guys who never shuts down their PC. The sleeping mode is so much more convenient and saves time. I wish we would get pop ups in Windows if there is a security risk. Most of the time I am getting no notifications about update.
3005  Other / Off-topic / Re: Can you eat friendly animals on: July 08, 2021, 05:34:48 PM
If you rear some goats(for example) for food and the goats end up loving you lots and you love the goat too, can you kill and eat the goats when it's time to eat them? How do you handle such situation, sell the goats, keep them as pet or just let them live?

Asking this question to see if what I learnt about animals-human relationship is true and can be proven.

In some countries goats are animals with a special relationship to its owners, I don't think they could kill and eat them. It feels like a bond we see between cats, dogs or horses in other countries. There is no way I would ever eat dog or cat meat. Humans eat too much meat anyways, better let them live and start eating some biological alternatives. Have you ever tried tofu?
3006  Other / Off-topic / Re: What do you think about online dating? on: July 08, 2021, 03:49:48 PM
Online dating is pretty normal these days. We are doing everything online, shopping, school and university, gaming, etc. So why not also dating? When I was in university everybody I knew was using tinder. Fun times. Also if you move to a different country and are new in a city, then online dating is a great way to get to know people. I think the number of couples who met online will keep growing in the future.
3007  Other / Off-topic / Re: What Do you do in your free time? on: July 08, 2021, 03:25:19 PM
Playing Dota 2 after that I will go to YouTube then  watch discoveries about sea creatures

Ah the good old Dota 2, I love that game, haven't really played it for years now but it is one of my most favourite multiplayer games. I still like to watch big tournaments on youtube, slowly getting hyped for T10. Having a prize pool of 40m USD in a single esports tournament is insane. A game what I am playing at the moment online is Risk.
3008  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Which Covid 19 Vaccine is is the best ? on: July 08, 2021, 03:20:17 PM
Pfizer / Biontech was the best vaccine up until the Delta variant. Now it seems that the initial immunity from 95% dropped down to 65% for the Pfizer vaccine. This will probably need further testing but what seems to be the best mix for the Delta variant is first injection AstraZeneca and second injection Pfizer/Biontech or Moderna. A cross mix of vaccines seems to have a higher immune reaction.
3009  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ⚽UEFA EURO 2020 Discussion Thread | Current Phase: Finals in June 2021! on: July 08, 2021, 03:10:02 PM
A lot of things have been said about the penalty yesterday, I have to agree with the most saying it wasn't one. I looked at it again a few times this morning, the contact is there but it is minimal.
The referee gave it immediately and I knew that VAR would not overturn it but it was a mistake not telling him he needs to see for himself.

England was much better and deserved to go through to the final though - but it will be hard to take for the Danes.

Forget about the plenty for a moment. If you were referee and you had to decided the result of the match based upon the performance in the 90 mins by both teams, whom will you declarer the winner ?
For me, England played far better than Denmark and rightly deserve the win.

England had 60% ball possession and a lot of more shoots on target, they definitely played better. Denmark had good efforts though and scored the first goal against England this tournament. In the end both Italy and England had to play both overtime, so both teams are a bit exhausted and now Italy has one day more rest till Sunday. It is hard to say who is going to win, but since England never won the EM before I think they will make it this year. Putting all my money on England now.
3010  Other / Off-topic / Re: Do you use deodorant? on: July 07, 2021, 12:31:07 PM
If yes, how safe is the deodorant? I realized sometimes ago that what we rub on our skin/body eventually get absorbed into the body, and I decided to be careful with the kind of things I rub on my body.   In my opinion, if it's not safe for consumption/eating don't rub it on your skin.
I think it would be better to use the natural alternatives, but where can we get those from? Do you know of any that's very effective and safe?

Yes of course, using no deo during the summer is criminal for all the people around it. With more than 30 degrees I am sweating a lot when working outside. I am only using healthy Deodorants, so no spray can, only roles. And with no aluminium or other metallic incredutuens. They might be a little bit more expensive, but atleast they are good for the skin.
3011  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ⚽UEFA EURO 2020 Discussion Thread | Current Phase: Finals in June 2021! on: July 07, 2021, 12:27:15 PM
This is going to be an exciting evening tonight. England is the favorite and if the can manage to beat Denmark in 90 minutes  they are in a really good position to win euro 2020. The Italian team must be exhausted after yesterday's penalty shoot out. Sure they have 1 day more to rest, but if England can manage to save their energy tonight they should be fine. Waiting until tomorrow morning to place my last bet.
3012  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Are you worried about the delta virus variant? on: July 07, 2021, 12:22:40 PM
Absolutely people must worried about the another variant cause we are not done yet by the Covid-19 Virus and we are not 100% has a cure ,cause Vaccine is not really the cure it's just a preventive medical so we can not affected or get virus but it's sad news that we heard that some die because of The Vaccine's cause their body can't accept the strong dosage. Hoping this two Variants will desappear so that we can live normal life Sad.

I just read yesterday that vaccinated doesn't protect anymore against the delta variant. The Pfizer Biontech vaccine had the highest immunity with 95%, but after tests in Israel where a large part of the population was vaccinated with Pfizer, the immunity dropped down to 65%. This is very scary, because we had so many variants already. With the next mutation the immunity could drop down to 30%.
3013  Other / Off-topic / Re: What do you call Betting in your culture? on: July 07, 2021, 12:00:12 PM
Is it acceptable to Bet (not necessarily with money) in your culture/language?  Still trying to understand why the modern world hardly see it as something we should engage in. The funny thing about this is that most humans today regularly or occasionally Bet without realizing it.
Do you know that the Holy Bible didn't condemn betting? infact, servants of the CREATOR even engaged in betting to help them determine the mind of the CREATOR on something. It's actually called "Lot" (casting Lot or something)
So, what do you call it in your culture, is it considered a bad thing, if yes ,why?

In my country betting is very common. In every large Street we have at least bookmaker chain. And even though betting is only above 18 years, there is tons of advertising everywhere. I always thought that the bible prohibits gambling and betting for money. But I am not really religious, so I don't follow the bible.
3014  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Same word, Plenty act's in the world of Politics. on: July 07, 2021, 09:52:26 AM
I don't trust politicians. For me they are all the same, it doesn't matter which party they belong to. The speeches are not their own, they just speak what is put in front of them. Before they become real politicians they might be idealist with a dream to make the world a better place. But politics are such a dirty job that it will corrupt even the best of them.
3015  Other / Off-topic / Re: Anyone Spend Bitcoin on Fishing Gear? Or Any Gear? on: July 07, 2021, 09:14:56 AM
I only went finishing once and it was kind of boring to just sit still at one place half of the day. The best part is eating your caught fish. I never bought any fishing gear. Most of Bitcoins I use for gambling, betting and just some treats for myself. Usually I buy new PC parts with my crypto money. The last thing I bought was a new monitor.
3016  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Euro 2020 and covid-19 on: July 06, 2021, 07:14:00 AM

We will see the aftermath after this event is over. And for sure, we will see blame game here. Officials throwing their accusations to those who are responsible for the event. Right now, they are enjoying the games but let us see once this is over. I hope people from the audience are at least following health protocols, otherwise, it is on them, if they got infected.

I think the officials are keeping an close eye on the corona numbers are the final this weekend. It will likely take 2 weeks for the numbers to rise and show if the event was a bad idea. Another thing is that we don't know which teams will be in the finals yet. If England is playing in the finals then there will be tons of local fans and nobody will care for the corona safety measures.
3017  Other / Politics & Society / Re: SpaceX and the prospects of Mars colonization. on: July 06, 2021, 06:19:39 AM
...
but you would think just technology and knowledge improvements over the 60 years could've cut a expensive 8 year deadline decades ago into a 4 or even 2 year projection now

_You_ would think something like this.  Here's a news flash: technology doesn't change the laws of physics, and engineers (technical, financial, etc) put their pants on the same way everyone else does at the end of the day.  Technically it is 'rocket science', but it's still science and engineering.

The quickest way to the moon/Mars/whatever is a neural lace, a set of VR goggles, some software, and some drugs.  Maybe a dash of special 'vaccines' too.  Most of you niggers will realize your dream of walking on Mars with all of your like-minded friends in exactly this manner I'm guessing.  Especially if you fall into some cult like Musk's...or I should say, don't get out of it in time.

While this might be enough for 99% of the population, there is the 1% who want more. Being the first man on Mars will make you immortal. Even if it will be a one way trip without the possibility of return there will be thousands of applications to be the pilot. And if we have ways to live on Mars permanently it wouldn't be such a bad deal. The first colony on Mars will be very adventures.
3018  Other / Off-topic / Re: Recommendation on how to read and pass exams on: July 06, 2021, 06:05:31 AM
1) Exercise regularly
2)Eat good fruits e.g Banana, orange, watermelon,Apple
Apparently fruit salad is the best
3) Have a good nap
4) Have a shower
5)Go to quite environment
6) Read and study 😂👏

Sounds good but the first point in my opinion should be study, study, study. Everything else is just a bonus. The best we can do is to do practice exams as much as possible.
3019  Other / Politics & Society / Re: We Have Passed the Thousand Deaths by Vaccine Per Month on: July 05, 2021, 07:04:21 AM
At this point I feel like the government could dispatch death squads to eradicate entire cities and people would accept it's for their own good.

But why should the government do such things? I thought that for everybody who dies after getting the corona vaccine there needs to be an autopsy. And with the autopsy we can say exactly how he died. If there were so many death just due to the vaccine than the big newspapers should report on it. Once the news get out, nobody would get the vaccine anymore and the government would sit on it. I just don't understand why, the vaccine is for free for us. The government has to actually pay for us and in the end only a few pharma companies are profiting of the pandemic while the whole economy is hurting.
3020  Other / Off-topic / Re: How do you handle stress? on: July 05, 2021, 06:40:46 AM
Firstly you should spend your time efficiently. Here are some tips for this purpose http://australianwomenonline.com/5-productive-ways-to-broaden-your-mind-while-spending-time/ really helpful article. As a result you will have more time for rest and possibilities to reduce stress. I think good sleep, sport and healthy food are the main factors there!

There aren't probably a lot of Australian woman here on the forum. I always thought that people from Australia are all chilled out and laid back. They have the perfect weather and are so far away from the rest of the world that they can just enjoy life. Also the cities with the highest living quality usually include Australia's biggest cities. Doing sports regularly might be hard for some of us, but watching out for the food we eat can make a huge difference in our every days life.
