2081  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Government Owned Online Casinos What Do You Think Of Its Potential on: June 26, 2022, 07:01:41 AM

Will they get enough support, will they get a huge slice of the market that is ruled by companies, they have the funds and they have the reputation because they are government who are more established and will be more compliant

That's a tricky question, usually I would say that politicians are bad entrepreneurs and should let professionals run the casinos. But we are in difficult times at the moment with covid pandemic and the slow down of economic growth. We need to look at it in more detail and see what advantages state run casinos offer and what disadvantages. First of all will state run casinos pay the same taxes as all the other casinos, or are there any tax benefits? It would be unfair for the old casinos because the government casinos can return more money to the gamblers. But if the casinos are just the same as the existing casinos will they bring anything new to the table? If not than I am not sure if there will be a lot of new gamblers come. Maybe instead of running their own casinos the government could financial support for the existing casinos in form of a silent partner. Like that the casinos don't go bankrupt and professionals keep running them.

2082  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 🕹️ Esports 🎮 Prediction & Discussion Thread on: June 25, 2022, 06:55:33 AM
There some nice CSGO matches coming up this weekend as part of the European Roobet Cup 2022. The first place is getting 150k USD, it will be very competitive. Today the most exciting match should be Eternal Fire vs Imperial, they both lost their first match so far and need to win today. I will go with Imperial for the match, even though they are underdogs I think the Brazilians still have a great team and should manage to pull through. Astralis is playing against Complexity tomorrow, should be an easy win for Astralis. What is more surprising is that BIG actually managed to win against FaZe and is first in the group. Also tomorrow FaZe will play against the winner of OG vs Entropiq from today. Should be an easy win for FaZe, they already beat OG 2-0 this week and they will likely win against Entropiq today.
2083  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Can you trust a gambler with your money/savings? on: June 25, 2022, 06:33:21 AM

Questions for discussion
- Are gamblers eligible to hold financial positions?
- Do problem gamblers deserve a second chance to hold a financial position?

Yes of course gamblers are eligible to hold financial positions. What is wrong with the world these days, the stigma that all gamblers are unable to control finances is wrong. A good gambler is actually better at managing money and keeping emotions out of finances than a person who isn't gambling. When gambling in a casino we need to look at risk and reward very quickly and adjust our betting based on our bankroll. It seems that many people have a bias against gamblers without really knowing more about it. It's not like every gambler is going lose all the money he has and becomes a thief.
What do you mean with second chance? Just because by gambling we already lost our first chance to hold any financial positions? That is so wrong in my opinion. Sure there are some people who are struggling with gambling addiction and have trouble controlling their finances. But that is only a small group out of all gamblers and not the majority. It's like looking at someone who drinks a beer as if they are alcoholics. Or looking at someone who is smoking as if he is addicted to smoking and can't control himself. If someone steals money from his work it might be because he is a thief and not a gambler in the first place. Many of the big scam scandals are from people who are not gamblers. I don't think there is a correlation between gamblers stealing more money from work than other people.
2084  Economy / Economics / Re: if you think 18k btc is low wait until autumn ... on: June 25, 2022, 06:12:10 AM
if you think 18k btc is low wait until autumn ...

I think it will reach 500-1000 USD max as you can't use to sell stuff and big whales already moved their money ...

In 2019 btc was already 9000-10000 USD , do to pandemic people invested a lot  in btc.

No way Bitcoins are dropping so low again this year. After dropping below 18k USD we already saw a bounce back above 20k USD. So there are still buyers in the market looking to buy cheap coins. How do you come up with that number of only 500 USD for one Bitcoin? Sure in 2019 bitcoin dropped very low in price even around the 3k USD mark, but since then a lot has changed. We reached new ATHs of above 60k USD last year. Investors can't just forget those prices again. In case the price ever drops below 10k USD I am sure there will be a lot of buyers coming to the market again bring the price back up. Just imagine all the whales who sold their coins around the 30,000 USD level. For them it would be a bargain to buy Bitcoins again for 1/3 of the price.
2085  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Grocery Stores In U.S Set To Install Bitcoin ATM on: June 25, 2022, 06:02:19 AM

New Bitcoin ATMs are set to be installed in 59 Latino grocery stores around the United States.

Why are they only being installed in Latino grocery stores? It would be nice if all supermarkets get crypto ATMs. I am not so familiar with the landscape of American grocery shopping, but aren't supermarkets for everybody? In my country there isn't really a difference in customers by groups. Would be nice to know if Latinos on average are using crypto currencies more often than the rest of the population for shopping. I expect there to be no real difference between people from Europe, Asia or Latin America. Crypto investors are all around the world and using ATM comes down to if they are actually needed. In my country so far I haven't seen any Bitcoin ATMs, would be nice to have some here at least. Once they start coming to supermarkets I would use them a few times to check them out and see how high the fees are. If it's cheaper than my bank fees I would switch to cryptos to pay for my groceries.
2086  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Do You Think Its One Too Many on: June 25, 2022, 05:40:21 AM
I think most people only start to take notice, when they "Google" a casino and scam accusations popup everywhere. The people already registered with the casino will probably not "Google" it, so they might never find out about it.

I think there are a general perception from most people that the complainants are "butthurt" gamblers that wants to find a way to lash out against the casinos, so they do not even bother reading the details.  Roll Eyes

I will read the detail, when I see a lot of evidence posted in the scam accusation section or a post on another platform.  Wink

That is a valid point I haven't thought about before. For the older casinos I expect the customers to be mostly regular gamblers who have been on the website for at least several month, maybe even years. After gambling regular at a casinos I never checked again if there are any new scam accusations. Somehow I believe that if a casino buildup a good reputation over several years they would never risk it just to scam one or two people. There are of course new posts from time to time here on the forum accusing casinos of scamming which I read. But most of the time the threads are from new members with no track record, so I don't believe them. If it was a hero or legendary member who is also documentating his case then things are a little different. I probably would reduce my gambling on the particular casino and wait for the issue to be resolved.
2087  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Who’s itching to buy? on: June 25, 2022, 05:20:54 AM
I am definitely itching to buy more coins. Unfortunately my spare money is very limited this year. In the second half of this year we are renovating the roof of our house and I need to help my parents pay the bills, on top of that I am still repaying a loan. I wish I could invest 10% of my salary in cryptos each month. Last week I managed to buy 500 USD worth of Bitcoins at the 19,000 level. Right now markets are up again and it becomes hard to predict if prices will fall heavily adain. Some big investors say it's the beginning of the recovery and others are saying things will get much worse later this year. To me it doesn't really matter, buying now seems cheap. And even if prices will fall more, eventually they will rise again. Buying from the top 100 alt coins seems like a good trade that will make money long term.
2088  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Age of bitcoiners on: June 22, 2022, 07:04:12 AM
Looks like the golden age for bitcoin is in the age group 30-45, glad to be in that group myself. It makes sense in my opinion to be interested in crypto currencies at that age. It's the age were we worked for several years already, paid back our student loans and finally can afford to save and invest some money. During the years before we might be interested in trading but don't have the capital to be really successful, and at an older age we have a lot of more expenses to worry about and the free money will be spend more on family. What I also noticed when talking to my niece and nephew is that they are not so concerned anymore about financial independence. Maybe it for us the time we lived through the big financial crisis in 2008 that we want more freedom and be independent from the government.
2089  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Would you bet on transgender only events? on: June 22, 2022, 06:50:50 AM
I think it will just be a matter of time before other sports organization will follow after them. Will there be a good market for this? I don't know but bookies will probably open a different line for the events exclusive for them. Would you bet if they do?

To be honest it is ridiculous who let men who identify now as a woman compete against biological woman. I am glad the world is waking up now and fixing this. If there was a nationwide if trans sport people should be included in female sport or not, I am sure there wouldn't be a 50% majority. Another thing is also, why are there no woman who want to be men and compete in men sports? Because they would have no chance, so why allow it the other way round?
Now if there will be trans leagues coming up and showing their sport events, I don't expect many viewers for it. Just by looking at the difference between male and female sports we see that most people are just not interested in female sports. Why would they now start watching trans sports. Also are there even enough trans athletes to compete against each other? If there are no real tournaments or competition that there will also be no betting market for it. Personally I am not going to bet on it.
2090  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Enter the market with a loss mindset~what you can afford to lose on: June 22, 2022, 06:43:14 AM
Bottom or top is valid only when we have a sell action.
It is the price at which we sell that determines whether the order is bottom or top.
Prices always fluctuate over time and never stand and no one can predict the top or bottom price 100% correctly,
So, when entering the market, prepare yourself not to give up.

Not giving up in trading is important if we want to succeed in the long run. There will always be setbacks and periods of losses, it's part of the game. Not even the best trader in the world only make the right call and makes money from all his trades. You are right that the "real" loss only occurs at the time of the sell, so we could hold some coins until they recover and never take a hit. The problem is of course that this is not really efficient. When one of our coin drops in value we need to find out why, is it because of general market movements that send all coins down, or is it because investors lost confidence in that coin? In case the coin is not a good investment anymore, I think it's wrong to keep holding. Sure it might recover one day, but the chances are there are better investment that makes us more money. It's good to accept losses sometime to move on and find new opportunities.
2091  Economy / Gambling / Re: risk of kyc on crypto casinos ? on: June 21, 2022, 08:43:41 AM
Looking for more crypto casino options, used to play on stake but had kyc asked over,is there any that has absolutely 0% chance of that being asked ?

ps: if you are a winning player (i know its rare or impossible) or won a big jackpot on any crypto casino, i would like some tips if you can,i can pay for your time,my telegram is @ ellieljonzz

Is there any particular reason why you don't want to use KYC? I am not sure if there is a 100% guarantee that a casino will not ask for it. In case the casino notices some red flags with your account they will always ask for some documentation, it's to protect them. KYC became the norm for many casinos when doing larger withdraws, I kind of got used to it. As long as it's a trust worthy casino that has been around for some time, I don't mind sharing my data. So far I had never any issues with it.
What kind of tips are you looking for? Strategies for slots or dice? I would be careful with paying someone for such general games, there is a high risk you end up being targeted by a scammer who only wants to take your money. There is a lot of randomness and luck involved in gambling and there is not the one perfect strategy.
2092  Economy / Speculation / Re: Was 17600$ was the bottom ? on: June 21, 2022, 08:30:46 AM

Maybe 17600$ was the bottom or do you think there is more dump in the coming days/weeks?

I really hope this was the bottom and we are not going to see more dumps this year. The high volatility in the bitcoin market last week was really scary. The news article I read were really pessimistic and already expected a bitcoin price of below 10,000 USD. As always bad news sells much better and generates more clicks. Hopefully the longterm investors are not giving into that pressure and keep their coins. I am definitely not selling any of my coins. Also technical indicators showed the support barriers around the 14,000-17,000 USD level. And Robert kiyosaki stated publicly that he will be buying heavily around 17,000 USD.
2093  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: The Most Expensive Thing Bought with Winnings from the Casino or Sport Bet on: June 21, 2022, 08:13:59 AM
What is the most expensive thing you've bought with your winnings from a casino or sports bet that you've never used or used only a few times or even maybe regretted buying?

My biggest purchase after gambling winning was a new bicycle for 800 Euros. Half the money for it I got from betting on CSGO matches and the other half from playing poker, roulette and blackjack. As soon as I reached my goal I withdraw all the money before I lose it again. Afterwards I started gambling from 0 again and build up a new bankroll.
I have a friend who doesn't like to gamble really. Several years ago it was the only time we could convince him to come to a casino with us. We were 4 guys who gamble regularly and my non gambling friend. At the end of the night we all lost our money and had nothing left. Only my friend who never gambles managed to get back a few hundred bucks, he only bet on 0 on roulette and won. That night he paid for all our dinners but never gambled again afterwards. Very good track record  Cheesy
2094  Economy / Economics / Re: Ray Dalio bets $6.7 billion against European stocks on: June 21, 2022, 08:05:20 AM
Not a bad trade in my opinion. European stocks are already underperforming and now with all sanctions against Russia the companies in Europe will be hit the the hardest. The cheap energy from Russia played a big role in the profitability of European companies. Compared to North America, Europe is much more dependent on Russia. The aftermath of the war in Ukraine will be felt in Europe in many more years. Unfortunately there isn't much we can do than invest internationally and try to diversify away from Europe. Ray Dalio is a great hedge fund manager, I have been following him for 10 years and read his books. He is usually right with calling out his big trades.
2095  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Slots is More Likely to Cause Gambling Problem on: June 21, 2022, 07:57:35 AM
Here is another supporting article on why slots is more addictive than sports betting.

"Studies[1] by a Brown University psychiatrist, Robert Breen, have found that individuals who regularly play slots become addicted three to four times faster (in one year, versus three and a half years) than those who play cards or bet on sports."[2]

Becoming addicted 3-4 faster with slots is a lot. I had no idea the difference between slots and sports betting is so big. It might be due to the time spend on slots and on sports betting. Placing a bet goes usually very quick and we can just forget about it, but playing slots takes a long time. What would be interesting now is to compare the money people spend who are addicted to slots and the money addicted people spend in sports betting. I would expect people to bet a lot of more money than they play with in slots. In Las Vegas the slot machines are the games with highest RTP. So anybody who is looking to spend as little money as possible while enjoying all the free perks of the casino should stick with slots.
2096  Economy / Economics / Re: Is it possible that all cryptocurrency will become regulated? on: June 20, 2022, 11:20:09 AM
Which is more safe Regulated Cryptocurrency or not Regulated?

my opinion - whether cryptocurrency is regulated or not they have both advantages and disadvantages.
Though its another topic, and I don't want to elaborate that.

I think that unregulated crypto currencies are more safe for the investors than the regulated ones. Unregulated coins will probably have higher price movements and volatility compared to regulated coins. But atleast they are save from being intervened by some government agency. When it comes to regulations by the government it's always the question which government is doing it. China has a very different understanding of regulation than the USA. And the crypto coins lose some of its independence. I think retirement funds should allow investment in regulated and unregulated crypto coins. In the end it's our money we invest for our old days, as long as we understand the risks involved we should be able to choose where our money is invested.
2097  Economy / Gambling / Re: Would you support a collective boycott of all Russian gambling platforms? on: June 20, 2022, 10:48:45 AM
Nato stated last week that they expect the Russia Ukraine war to last for several years to come. Russian military is planning up to the next 6 months. Everything looks like there won't be a quick end in sight for this war. Are we really prepared to keep the sanctions up for several years? Already now all the major economies are hurting, global growth is slowing down and inflation is rising. I am not sure if we can keep that up. I am also not saying that there shouldn't be international consequences for Russian, but there should be compromise. Same goes for the gambling industry, boycotting might work for a short period of time, but will we really be able to hold it for long? What if the Russian casinos start to offer really favourable promotions that would make some profits for us? I think eventually we have to look after ourselves and what is best for us.
2098  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: BTC is being too nice. Most people don't deserve the chance to buy it so cheap. on: June 20, 2022, 08:29:03 AM
The ones who will miss this train also might never see another. Do you really think BTC will be so cheap for the next years to come? Once it goes in the $1xx,xxx zone you better get used to it.

BTC is being too nice because most people don't deserve another chance after they had thousands of chances to buy it cheap and did nothing.

I agree with you, the prices we are seeing right now are so generous. I bought some bitcoins this weekend at 19,000 USD with my poker winnings and my left over vacation money. It's crazy are so many people are selling their coins these days. I am wondering now if it's all panic selling and the sellers are making losses, or if it's some older investors who are taking some profits now. But why would anybody sell right now when they bought their coins below 10,000 USD back in the days. Now it's a good time to stock up on crypto coins, otherwise we cry during the next rally that we didn't buy any.
2099  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Why is it so hard to win at gambling? on: June 19, 2022, 09:10:40 AM
Gambling is a risk and we all should be ready to face it if we want to gamble. Although their had not been much cases where gambling platforms fold or close due to lack of funds or due to gamblers having a great win that the gambling platform could not afford to pay their costumers. Addiction is one of the major problems of gamblers because the urge to gamble more is always there due to influence. We need to measure out risk to our gain so we can be sure that we do not make a wrong step that will affect our gambling lifestyle.

It is good to keep in mind that the casino faces the same risks we do. In case a whale makes a few large bets and wins than this could really hurt a casino, and in the worst case even let them go brankcrupt if they don't have the necessary funds. Especially for new casinos trying to build up their brand the risk is high to not be able to cover large outflow of funds from the website. Gambling is a zero sum game, for us to win the casino needs to lose, and the casino has not unlimited funds. So in the end for us to win some other gambler has to lose that the casino can payout our winnings. Gambling is not designed that all players win and become rich. In my opinion we shouldn't be looking at gambling as game that we must win. There is a lot of randomness in gambling and only a lucky few player really manage to win big.
2100  Economy / Gambling / Re: hello Players!! on: June 19, 2022, 08:40:53 AM
Hi mate, I assume this is your casino. Are you limiting the countries that can access your casino? Because when I try to open your link it tells me I can't open this website. Maybe it's an issue from my end and not all browser support your site. From your two pictures it looks like a normal casino offering Dice and Roulette games. Are there any more games to play? I think the most important thing for any new casino is to make it attractive for new gamblers to come and play on your site. Maybe run some promotions like first deposit bonuses. Otherwise it is hard to stand out agains the other casinos.
