3061  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Coins for Day trading on: September 30, 2017, 09:51:47 AM
most of the coins are viable options. I think you need to learn day trading first before looking for coins that you can use for day trading, since if you knew it already you wouldn't be asking this question.
for day trading you want something that has enough volume, a good packed order book and also most importantly a volatile price but predictable volatility. for that as I said most coins from bitcoin down to most little altcoins with high volume (good liquidity) can work well enough.
3062  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Another Bitcoin Hard Fork due in November. BTC price up or down? on: September 30, 2017, 09:25:49 AM
I do not think "bitcoin gold" is going to have any kind of effect on bitcoin. and it should not have any effects anyways because it is completely changing bitcoin to a new mining algorithm to make it GPU mineable. we do not even know who is going to be behind the code.

to this day I can tell you that everything about Bitcoin Gold seems like a shitcoin that just copy pasted bitcoin code and changed a couple of basic stuff to get the new version.

oh and by the way there is a HUGE Pre-Mine for bitcoin gold. if you think a premined altcoin can even compete or affect bitcoin then you don't know nothing about this space Wink
3063  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Don't you think the BTC forks are making the Bitcoin ecosystem more chaotic? on: September 30, 2017, 09:19:31 AM
Bitcoin Cash really confused me at which is the real BTC.
there never was any confusion about Bitcoin Cash. it was always an altcoin and still is, simply because it never had any support from anyone. not miners, not businesses, not user, not nodes, not developers.

Quote
And the forthcoming SW2X is making a new puzzle.
the same will be true about SegWit2x. look around and try to see how much support and from whom it has that support. it may not be clear right now but it will become clearer as we get closer to the date and we can see the support and where it is coming from.

and in the future whatever fork has the support of majority will be considered BITCOIN and everything else an altcoin.

Quote
BTW.
Question: Will the silver LTC gradually die after SW2X?
what does Litecion have to do with any of this?
litecoin is a completely separate and stand alone altcoin with its own developers, own community and users,... it doesn't matter what happens with bitcoin different forks LTC will be LTC.
3064  Economy / Speculation / Re: Btcc and ViaBtC closed. on: September 30, 2017, 09:08:39 AM
Well, I think we can assume that the Chinese exchange closures were already priced in. They were announced weeks ago, and the market dumped hard on the news already. More importantly, the market didn't dump hard on news of the Korean ICO ban or the rumors of a ban on cryptocurrency payments in Russia. That indeed suggests a bullish market.

it is because you can not over-use the same FUD.
FUD is like anything else, it has a limited usability. it can be strong when it is well designed and it is new. but when it becomes old the market will also grow weary of it and consequently that FUD loses its effectiveness.

at some point it will even turn into the "boy who cried wolf". the China news has always been like this. each time price was being corrected you could see them try so hard and everyone ignored them until this year where news changed since they really closed exchanges once this year. I expect this "closing exchanges" and "banning ICOs" become old news and be ignored next year. and they will have to up their game.
3065  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: China is Laughing on: September 30, 2017, 09:01:55 AM
I say China is not doing anything. they are doing whatever they were doing before and will continue living normally and be involved with bitcoin.

those who are laughing are the FUDsters, those whales who bought at the bottom, JP Morgan, and lots of others who bought back in the dip. they are laughing at how easy it was to increase their profit simply with some FUD and use the gullibility and the fact that most weak hands don't understand bitcoin to their own advantage.

3066  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: I did it! Traveling with Bitcoin and $100 only on: September 30, 2017, 08:55:11 AM
this is one of my dreams to travel to some other country and take with me only bitcoin on my cell phone or even on some paper wallet and spend it there. although my dream involve spending bitcoin directly not to be forced to convert it to local currency and then pay for stuff.
like paying your hotel, taxi, restaurants,... with bitcoin.

1- I used Localbitcoins for cash! Search for best local currency rate!
2- How much I save from credit card fees and Fiat exchanges: $305.
but how about the price difference? for example if bitcoin is $4300 on localbitcoin I usually find much lower prices that they are buying at. won't that negate the $305 you saved up?
3067  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin is died! on: September 30, 2017, 08:51:07 AM
yes bitcoin is died because i sell my bitcoin at $1000 Sad

more like "you" died rather than bitcoin. and you died not because you sold at some arbitrary price but you died because you did not buy back.

you see we have all sold bitcoin at some point for many reasons. it may be to get some money because you needed it or it may be because you anticipate a big drop like the drop back at $1000 time down to $888 or anything else but the important part is to make sure to buy back after you got the money or after the dip happened.
3068  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Another hard fork coming in October. New Bitcoin name is "Bitcoin Gold" on: September 30, 2017, 07:04:56 AM

this does NOT mean a hard fork. coindesk seems to be spreading wrong information now!

So, you're blaming coindesk? And you believe there's no hard fork coming and oh, by the way the following 'seems to be spreading wrong information' too...
instead of reading 1 line of my comment try reading the full comment that I wrote!

the information about this new altcoin is not yet enough. their website does not have anything on it either. the only news comes from their Twitter and from what I have read so far it seems like they are just using bitcoin code not the blockchain and they will just take a snapshot of it at a certain date like what other altcoins with airdrops have one (Byteball, stellar, bitcore,....) and give 1:1 amount of their altcoin.

this does NOT mean a hard fork. coindesk seems to be spreading wrong information now!

also I did not say there is "no" hard fork. all the links you gave below apart from 1 of them are talking about SegWit2x which has nothing to do with Bitcoin Gold!

3069  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: What do you Do When You Run Out of Money to BUY During Such a Great Opportunity? on: September 29, 2017, 08:58:22 AM
if you bought anything back when this topic was started instead of worrying about the drop, FUD or running out of money then you would have had 40% profit on anything that you invested.
for example if you bought 1BTC at least back when the drop happened you could have about $1000-$1200 profit now that the price has recovered and it is rising. then after the rally happened and you expected a correction you could have sold and have >140% of your initial amount.

this is how you build up your funds. you can also take 20% of profit out and keep the other 20% in and trade with 120% of your initial amount.
3070  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin phased out on: September 29, 2017, 08:40:50 AM
What if someone creates a better digital currency?
there is no "what if", it will happen. someday someone will create something better than bitcoin. either an improved version of a cryptocurrency or even a completely new technology to do the similar thing. that is the nature of any technology, they get replaced by newer and better ones.

Quote
Will bitcoin be phased out?
yes. looking back at the thousands of years of human history you can see a lot of things have been replaced, improved,...

Quote
And how likely  is it for that to happen?
you should ask WHEN will it happen instead.
and so far we have not seen any valid competitor for bitcoin and we won't see any for many years because everyone is focused on earning money and politics not developing.
it will probably not happen for another 20-30 years.
3071  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin value dropping? on: September 29, 2017, 08:33:30 AM
another example of someone who is way too late to the party!

the "dropping" is already over. we are $1200 above the price that dropped because of China. you can not expect the same reason to have the same effect multiple times just because you are late. the rest of the world were not late and they did all their panics and their sells and buys and FOMOs in the previous weeks and now things are back to normal

until next FUD comes along. try not to be late for that one.
3072  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Voting with a Blockchain on: September 29, 2017, 08:25:59 AM
the biggest question that should be answers first is : WHY?

what is blockchain? it is a chain of blocks.
what would these blocks regarding votes contain? the votes themselves? why? what would be the point of creating a chain of votes in form of blocks and hold them somewhere? what is wrong with a normal database instead of a blockchain?

or maybe you mean some form of cryptographic proof? that is not blockchain.
it is something else, but who will issue the keys for creating the "vote" cryptographically and how would you prevent people from having multiple keys?
and the final question is that will it be worth all these efforts to replace the old system that works?

I see others saying "it is a good idea" but in my opinion your idea is way too vague and general. you need to explain how will it work and what are the angles then decide if it is a good or a terrible idea. because it can be either.
3073  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin growth again, what to do? on: September 29, 2017, 08:17:39 AM
Bitcoin growth again, for two days it's turn back his position 3960$ and continue to grow!
Should I go to bank and buy bitcoins?

i think its not necessary, because bitcoin pumping again, all you can do is to wait again for the next big dip, thats the right time to invest.buy, i think you have a little bit worry when this bitcoin decrease recently, so you cant decide whether to buy/invest or not because of those false alarm news. we all know that bitcoin is never drop too deep so why you (investors) worrying to buy bitcoin when its in the dip?

Now is the right time to buy bitcoin, because they will return to the correction price in the middle of next month before hardfork process, I think bitcoin will be stable at $4000 so do not be afraid to speculate. The more you buy then next month you will get maximum results even until early next year.

on each price step, certain people are always late!
when the price was falling and when it reached the bottom was the time to buy!
it is always said that when others are desperate and are selling you should be buying and when everyone is happy and prices are on top you should be selling.
I remember when the price was above $4500 and the FUD was starting nobody sold anything (everyone happy) then when price fell and went to $3xxx range they started selling at a loss (time to buy). those who act correctly in correct times are going to be the rich people of tomorrow who everyone will look at and say "I wish I did that too".
3074  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why does China hate Bitcoin? on: September 29, 2017, 08:11:26 AM
I personally don't think that china hates or bans bitcoin because if they going to ban bitcoin as a whole, they already ban the bitcoin many years ago and i think that banning bitcoin exchanges and ICOs is for their citizen safety why? Because too many scam ICOs and it is hard to tell which is the legit or not.
The main reason behind their decision is they don’t want to see their people progressing and independent of their national currency and they want to control their people under them and don’t want to see  them making money in any other currency, and Chinese economy is at threat as more people in china start using bitcoin. This is an ill decision.

you are drawing a conclusion based on what you have read in FUD. so your conclusion is wrong.

the Chinese government may very well have this exact motive but what we know and what the reality of what we see is that they are banning ICOs which everyone knows are illegal in many different countries. even in US things like ICO are what SEC warns about and even considers illegal.
the other thing about exchanges is that they do not have license so they are being closed.

so far I do not see any "ill decision" in any of these.
3075  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Chinese Regulators Crack Down on Bitcoin Exchanges on: September 28, 2017, 08:54:32 AM
Why do topics such as this get reposted over and over on a continual basis and not deleted? Just saying it makes no sense to have space taken up on our forum by such threads which simply reiterate the same thing without any new information at all. I could see if there was some legitimate update, but useless reposting of things like this is pointless.

because people are still desperate to get cheaper bitcoin and most of them are already too late and think by spreading the FUD more and more they can cause a panic to buy at low prices but they are all miscalculating their times. the time for FUD is over and the dip has ended. if you bought in the dip you can consider yourself a good trader with awareness of the market if not you are considered a weak hand.

at least what OP posted here is mostly truth about the Chinese situation. I keep seeing brand new accounts repeat the lies about Bitcoin being banned!
3076  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Another hard fork coming in October. New Bitcoin name is "Bitcoin Gold" on: September 28, 2017, 08:46:59 AM
There is already a bitcoingold on coinmarketmap, but I don't know how I feel about this fork, I hope there aren't 100 more forks next year.

there is no "bitcoingold" on coinmarketcap, there is only one "bitGold" on there which is an old one and it is one of those bitshares asset things that are tradable only on bitshares openledger.

this is something new that as I said above there is not any information about it to be found except their twitter handle which I can not locate again now!

edit: here is the website: http://btcgpu.org/ which also has links to the Twitter and Github,.. links.
3077  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin is basically a stock that allows you to purchase things on: September 28, 2017, 08:14:28 AM
quite the opposite. bitcoin is a currency that allows you to treat it like a stock Smiley

the similarities does not mean the dominating feature which is being a currency is overlooked. if some people overlook it doesn't mean it is any different. people can treat different things differently. they can use gold dust as their currency when they go grocery shopping but that doesn't make gold a currency of today.

What is bitcoin really worth? $4000? $3000? $10,000? $1,000,000, $0.01?, nothing?
What is apple stock really worth? $150? $300? $7,000? $0?
The answer is simple. It is whatever the world collectively agrees it is worth.

then this is true for literary anything else in the world too.
what is a house really worth? $1 mil? $10 thousand? that is the same thing. the supply and demand determines the price of anything else.
3078  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin again crossed $4200, so this time can we see all time high?? on: September 28, 2017, 08:05:10 AM
Bitcoin needs to drop bellow 2200 dollars for it to get fixed from its loose ends... Or else bitcoin will continue the zigzag up and down and we wont see something spectacular like 10k dollars.

sorry that you missed the chance to buy bitcoin when it was cheap and also sorry that you missed the chance to buy again when it dipped again and you were still waiting for a ridiculously low price.

bitcoin needs to do nothing and drop to no price. the market decides that and it has already shown that the market doesn't allow price to go lower than $3000 even at worse case scenario with a lot of FUD and market manipulative sells. that is called "resistance" and it has been there and now it is much higher too.

it won't go to 10K now either and your "zig zag" will also be in a rising manner where each time the bottom is higher.
3079  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Give online shops thanks. on: September 28, 2017, 07:57:24 AM
have ever heard of this website called Google.com? it is a good search engine and it is worth learning how to use it. Smiley

my favorite compiled list of places accepting bitcoin is this one by coindesk:
https://www.coindesk.com/information/what-can-you-buy-with-bitcoins/

there is also this website: http://spendbitcoins.com/
