2221  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin Advertising on: March 22, 2018, 07:28:49 AM
Do we need to Advertise Bitcoin in Television Programs Like all other products showing there Advertises. As most of the countries trying to ban Bitcoin I think it will help all of us the more people will know about Bitcoin and its merits and demerits. So may Government think twice before banning.

I am generally not a fan of this type of advertising at all but all I can say to this is that it will depend mostly on how you are advertising bitcoin as.
for example are you planning on advertising bitcoin
- as a decentralized currency and focus on all the features and benefits that come with it or
- as an investment which you buy and become rich because it is rising?

if it is the first one, I can see the benefit of it and it will be an informative advertisement. but if it is the second one or generally if you speak of price at all, I wouldn't consider that ad constructive at all.
2222  Economy / Speculation / Re: Beginning of luck in 2018 on: March 22, 2018, 07:15:29 AM
hope, luck,... what the hell are you talking about?
this here is a dynamic market which is going up and down based on market dynamics. there is no luck or hope involved and it won't "go back to give you hope"! what does that even mean?

we had some drops like ALWAYS, and it is because of the big price rise which ended with a bubble and then followed by a lot of FUD and panic sells by the weak hands. it was not luck that dropped the price!
and now that we are getting rid of all the weak hands by flushing them out, everything is going back to normal slowly and the rises are starting to become more solid with a better buy support. and again it is not luck that this is happening!
2223  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: End of Bitcoin? on: March 22, 2018, 06:59:47 AM
this is a pretty fucked up thing and it is not new either meaning it didn't happen yesterday. it happened a long time ago, the news is just being spread now because now it is time for FUDing.
and no matter how bad this seems to be like, it is not the end of bitcoin because it is not affecting the functionality of bitcoin and so far nobody has cared about this matter despite its existence.
2224  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Help] What are the popular casinos for cryptocurrency? on: March 21, 2018, 12:29:51 PM
Question: I wanted to get some feedback on what you believe are the top 5 casinos (in your opinion) in the scene.

it is hard to say which one is top 5. there are a bunch of most popular gambling sites which you already have listed on your website or are well known around here like crypto-games, bitsler, primedice,...
I just want to add one that I didn't see and it is not mentioned a lot and since you are talking about affiliate programs I think the best affiliate percentages belong to freebitco.in website. it has been around for a long time, it is trusted and they give 50% and also it has investment options which you also get 25% of your referral's profit as commission.

Quote
Any feedback would be appreciated and This is what I have so far:

I wouldn't include "cloud mining" in the list to be honest because they are not to be trusted at all in my opinion.
2225  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Buying USDT during crypto dips.your thoughts. on: March 21, 2018, 12:12:17 PM
it is a good strategy and a terrible one at the same time.
it is a good strategy because during drops you should get out and out to a safe place which is a more stable asset, which in this case can be a currency (fiat). but you are choosing a "fiat-like" altcoin not fiat itself. you are using USDT instead of USD, and that makes it a terrible strategy. tether is one of the shadiest altcoins out there, it is centralized and it can fail at any moment if the company behind it fails or decides to scam people out of billions of dollars.

in short I suggest to do anything else if you can, preferable going back directly to fiat (USD) if possible and use tether as the last option after you tried everything and couldn't find another way.
2226  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Stop complaining when the value of your holding is low on: March 21, 2018, 12:02:39 PM
not such a good example in my opinion. people don't buy "Gucci sneakers" to make profit, they buy them to wear. but when it comes to bitcoin, most people are buying it to make a profit and worst thing about them is that they are not traders so they want a rising market only to make profit and they don't even know how to make profit if the market is anything but rising only. so when the market is not moving according to their expectations and they not only not making profit but also losing a lot, they start complaining and panicking and eventually their panic sell crashes the price (the final crash before the reversal).

if someone is buying bitcoin to benefit from bitcoin (like how they benefit from a "Gucci sneakers") or if they are traders, they would have never complained about dropping price of bitcoin.
2227  Economy / Speculation / Re: Poll: Do you believe the MtGox trustee is saying the truth? on: March 21, 2018, 11:53:18 AM
the real question that should be asked here is not about whether Mt Gox Trustee is lying or not. it should not even be about whether he actually sold his coins or not. because none of these questions matter an they don't change anything.

the real question is whether the news about him selling caused the drop and by how much?
we all know a drop would have happened anyways from $20k. that much was inevitable and we all know that whenever bitcoin has a drop it usually becomes bigger and sometimes gets out of hand with all the FUDs that would be flying around at the same time with that drop. this has already happened multiple times, enough to form a pattern actually!

and the funny part still is the fact that they say he started selling his coins months ago! and months ago price was still rising big time, in fact it went up more than 3x after the first alleged selling...
2228  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin Price - 3 months on: March 21, 2018, 07:31:31 AM
so far there has been a couple of huge dumps on the market and each of them proved that the bottom can not be lower than $6k and prices below $7k will not last long because of the current existing demand for bitcoin which you can call buy support although it doesn't show up on the order books.
so in your poll, options that are below $9k are impossible in my opinion because as time goes by the bottom also grows and comes higher so even if we see another huge dump at some point in the following 3 months we may not see lower prices anymore, unless there is some serious whale dumping starts.

additionally I expect a rise more than anything else because market is  currently showing all signs for it. and if that happens you can expect $15k+ in 3 months at least.
2229  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Is yobit.net a scam site or not? on: March 21, 2018, 07:25:02 AM
yobit is a shady exchange with terrible support, terrible platform and terrible services. you will experience a lot of difficulties trading there and thanks to their numerous problems with their wallets and balances you may find your transactions stuck whether deposits or withdrawals may fail.

long story short if you can trade anywhere else, it is best that you choose them instead of Yobit. use Yobit only if you have no other options.
2230  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin does not exist in the real world. How does it have a monetary value? on: March 21, 2018, 06:53:55 AM
Bitcoin as a virtual currency, ...

bitcoin is not a "virtual" currency. and you are only saying it "doesn't exist" because you do not understand how it works. in fact your saying is the mentality of an 80 year old person who resists change and still doesn't even have a bank account, debit/credit card, cell phone or even a computer. the older generation don't want to understand new technologies and bitcoin is a new technology and whether you understand it or not, it exist and has a value.

I suggest starting by searching in google for terms such a "what is bitcoin", or visit bitcoin.org and start reading some contents to get you started. if you had problems understand after you read them come back to us and we will help you.
2231  Bitcoin / Electrum / Re: Create Electrum using address on: March 21, 2018, 06:43:54 AM
According to the OP, the next button is still grayed-out (not clickable) after you typed the address.
It simply means that there's something wrong with the address' format or you missed a character during copying/typing.

there are only two reasons why the next button is greyed out. one of them is what you said here, an error in the address itself when typing it in but also if you choose a different option and then enter an irrelevant data in it, then wallet won't let you move ahead.

for example if you choose recovery with seed but enter a private key there instead of your seed words.
since the second line in OP's comment doesn't make sense I say he chose a wrong path like this:
Standard wallet > Use public or private keys >
and then entered his address there.

he needs to choose the following path:
Import bitcoin addresses or private keys >
then enter his address
2232  Economy / Speculation / Re: What's with the fud? on: March 21, 2018, 06:27:52 AM
After reading several topics about how bitcoin is going down and how people are getting out it just crossed trough my mind that FUD has started to shake weak hands(again) and that in next few days bitcoin really might start going up.

Anyone share the same opinion?

FUD is like a shadow, it won't simply go away and will always follow us. Good that you notice that this is how the forum works in cyclical, bitcoin goes down, a lot of newbie account or even old accounts wakes up and spread FUD around the forum. But when bitcoin suddenly goes up, the exited, just lurk in the background and comes out with bitcoin is going down again.

I believed that most of them are paid schills, to spread FUD and strike fear amongst the newbies to make a sell so that they can buy bitcoin at a lower price. Its very fraudulent practice but the only way to at least prevent this is not to listen and totally ignore them.
2 days after bitcoin is going up.
I had really good hunch about this fud and price is increasing.
We can't fight FUD, you are right it will always be here, but it is important not to follow it but to learn to read it.

yeah but the rise is happening because of the G20 result which was a good news not because FUD was spread two days ago.

but also you may argue that some people might have had some insider information about this so they foresaw the positive news and consequently the rise, so they started the FUD to crash the price further so they can buy a lot more bitcoins at the bottom before the rise happens. the drop was a big one anyways so the profit in it was huge so far.
2233  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Maybe someday there will be clarity about who really Satoshi Nakamoto? on: March 21, 2018, 06:11:35 AM
and maybe someday people like you started learning more about bitcoin itself first and after they understood some very basic definitions such as "being decentralized" and also "privacy" they stop asking who the "Satoshi Nakamoto" entity is.

and it is actually a good thing that Satoshi's identity is not known. it proves that if you want you can stay anonymous.
2234  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is HODLing a form of Day Trading? on: March 20, 2018, 11:33:54 AM
your question is exactly the same as asking "Does the Pope shit in the woods?" question!

you don't understand what trading is and you don't even understand the potential of bitcoin. and at the same time you want to make a lot of profit out of bitcoin. so your plans are either to day trade and become a millionaire or buy bitcoin HOLD a couple of months and become a millionaire. none of which are ever going to come true.

people who are HODLing know the real potential of bitcoin. they understand that bitcoin is a decentralized and censorship resistance currency with a very limited supply. and right now it is cheap, like finding gold in the river at this point. and they know that with time the price of bitcoin will be a lot more than these so they don't care about the short term fluctuations and instead of worrying about them they instead add to their bitcoin wealth.
2235  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Comparing to Electroneum: Why Marinecoin can rise 100x on Successful Airdrop on: March 20, 2018, 08:07:22 AM
we are not in a logical market but instead we are in a manipulated market and we are talking about coins without any actual usage and only interesting-looking ideas which they call themselves ICOs and get a lot of money for it.

because of that you can not say which coin will go 2x and which will go up 1000x and which one will drop instead of all that. sometimes their pumping team succeeds and they can pump the coin to 1000x and sometimes they fail if they are not good at it or if they are a new team unfamiliar with how altcoin pumps work. and advertisement of the projects help too, they can get the project hyped but the ads won't be enough for big rises.
2236  Economy / Speculation / Re: Short term predictions for BTC price? on: March 20, 2018, 07:06:20 AM
there are times like this when making a short term prediction for bitcoin price becomes nearly impossible because of the way market moves. for example we have been in a bear market and price was showing all signs of a drop for past days but since yesterday when the news about G20 came out price recovered and then there is also a good buy support shaping up for bitcoin. this can be enough to start the rise from now on or it can be start of another long sideways movement again.
2237  Economy / Speculation / Re: Will Bitcoin marketcap touch $1 Trillion in 2018? on: March 20, 2018, 06:46:25 AM
So if we calculation via American trillion formula then we are see that bitcoin circulation has passed 1 trillion Usd mark in front of.

I can't quite understand what you mean by this sentence but in order for bitcoin's market capitalization to reach $1 trillion with current circulating supply, price of it has to be $59,069.06 because as you know Market Cap is simply Supply multiplied by Price! and that price is not yet reached.
2238  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: bitcoin will become the next giant? on: March 20, 2018, 06:41:29 AM
IBM was a giant , jobs built apple,it beat IBM . bitcoin will become the next giant to defeat apple google and facebook?

Apple, Google and Facebook are not competitors of bitcoin and they are not even in the same category as bitcoin to be "defeated" by bitcoin. I think you are getting too emotional here!

bitcoin is a new technology which is great and all but it is a currency not a company. and this currency has been growing and will continue to grow with or without these centralized platforms such as FB.
not to mention that all the drama about FB, Google,... were about them banning ads on their platforms not bitcoin itself and banning ads was totally understandable since 99% of these ads were either scams or shitty ICOs!
2239  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is it safe to invest in cryptocurrency in India? on: March 20, 2018, 06:29:19 AM
In India, the transaction in cryptocurrency is not yet approved by Indian Government but they are saying, we need to analysis it before approval.

Our Finance minster Arun Jaitley said in his budget speech that the government will do everything to discontinue the use of virtual currencies in India.

So, we are in dilemma to invest in this or not?

there are two things you need to consider for this.
1. the laws not what they say and definitely not what you read on the news.
the laws mean what actually passed as a law not just some article on some click-bait news site or some random comment on a forum. even not something that a government official said. instead you should look for an actual law that the congress passed.

2. whether you care about it or not!
bitcoin is a decentralized currency which is design to be censorship resistance. in other words you should not even care whether your government approves of it or not. if you want to use bitcoin, then get on with it.
2240  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How does bitcoin affect the ability of the state to collect income tax? on: March 20, 2018, 06:21:24 AM
IRS considers bitcoin a commodity and like any other commodity which has ups and downs and volatility, bitcoin also has ups and downs and they treat it the same way as anything else when it comes to taxing it. and they have been doing this for a very long time now, I believe it started nearly the early years maybe 2010 that IRS set clear rules about taxing bitcoin. if you really want to know the details of it visit their webpage and read the details there!
