2201  Economy / Speculation / Re: whether it's time to turn green again on: March 25, 2018, 09:54:48 AM
altcoins, specially the top coins will remain in red for a very long time. they have been pumped the most and have the most number of newbie bag holders who will continue panicking and dumping their coins as their losses grow bigger and bigger.

as for bitcoin we will continue seeing this sideways action for a longer time with a little tendency of dropping but it has not been that big so far. if it breaks the $10k resistance again we can be hopeful for the breakout to come sooner in this month otherwise it will take a longer time to see the rally.
2202  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: The feeling of not having that high on: March 25, 2018, 07:15:34 AM
it sounds to me like you are suffering from depression and it doesn't seem to have anything to do with gambling or going to an actual casino! or maybe you got depressed because you went with your "aunt" instead of going with people your own age and have fun there!
in any case I think you need professional help and we can't help you with anything. sorry!
2203  Economy / Speculation / Re: What is the reason of the recent drops in Bitcoin price? on: March 25, 2018, 07:04:11 AM
FUD, panic, more drama, more drop, getting out of hand, entering bear market and finally losing the buy support. so the drop continues for the time being until the buy support comes back and also after the market makers became satisfied with their cheap bitcoin accumulation and stopped dumping and the FUD stops being spread.
2204  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: They are coming with a new way to attack Crypto currencies! on: March 25, 2018, 06:51:27 AM
Make a clear division between Permissionless vs. Permissioned Blockchains and act accordingly. This will effectively mean that all Permissionless Blockchains will get targeted and Permissioned Blockchains will be supported.

supported by whom?
bitcoin which is THE permission-less system is supported by peers aka its users. and the real bitcoin users will never give up the decentralized bitcoin for a centralized altcoin that the government creates. if they wanted to do that, they would have continued using banks and never even looked at bitcoin twice.

and that was the whole purpose of bitcoin. it was never created to be supported by the government, or be listed on exchanges or have the option to be bought/sold with fiat. these are all things we added later because we wanted to make profit.
2205  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why do we need commissions and who receives them? on: March 25, 2018, 06:45:36 AM
Bitcoin was born with the following benefits:
2. Free transfers.
show me where it says "free" transactions? https://bitcoin.org/bitcoin.pdf

Quote
free transactions are a myth. It follows that there is no decentralization.
there is no relationship between the two!

Quote
The miners raised the commission in December 2017, the miners lowered the commission in March 2018. If Bitcoin is independent, how did they do it?
the miners are not the ones setting the transaction fees, the users are and that is decentralization. all users can decide to only send transactions with 0 fee or all of them can decide to outbid each other when blocks are full and raise the fees. so far the are doing the later.
2206  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: We Need To Shut Bitcoin And All Other Cryptocurrencies Down. Here's Why. on: March 25, 2018, 06:02:24 AM
in my opinion things like this article are quite good. the more the attack bitcoin the more resilient it will get. we have had a lot of these idiotic attacks against bitcoin in the past 9 years and you can see that every time people realize a little more that bitcoin is much stronger than they thought.

I know the article is mostly bullshit but I hope that they actually do try to shut down bitcoin some day. maybe some people need proof that a decentralized network can not be shut down by anyone ever! their failure will make bitcoin even stronger.
2207  Economy / Speculation / Re: are you happy with long? on: March 25, 2018, 05:50:39 AM
there is a topic here (by me) called 1 in a million (https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1790863.0) where I keep track of the cost to become 1 in a million (aka have 21BTC), I started it a year ago and I have been updating it every 6 months. you can check to see the progress and see how a long term investment looks like.

in short if you became 1 in a million in 2010 with $3.7 you now had $180000 and we are not even at the end of the line yet!
2208  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Rootstock (RSK) - Smart Contracts for Bitcoin on: March 24, 2018, 12:34:17 PM
this is a very nice project that is adding a lot more utility to bitcoin than before. it won't have the scaling problem that the current platforms for smart contract like Ethereum are facing and it will also be a lot cheaper than them too.

the only problem, or maybe concern that I see is that a lot of ICOs may give up all those other platforms and switch to bitcoin and that may pump the price into a fake bubble that those platform tokens are currently in and also they can bring in all the problems that ICOs have and pose some problems for bitcoin.
2209  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Temporary ban on Cryptocurrency mining WorldEconomicForum on: March 24, 2018, 12:24:16 PM
I am still not convinced that there were any kind of mining taking place in New York though. according to a quick google search that I did the first time I heard this news (which to be honest looks more like an FUD or at least a big exaggeration) the cost of electricity there is one of the highest in the whole world and everyone knows that mining with high electricity cost is just impossible.
2210  Economy / Gambling / Re: FreeBitco.in - Win free Bitcoins every hour! on: March 23, 2018, 09:37:33 AM
there is always downside to anything. for example the Chatbox idea that I started above can become a place for beggars who keep asking for tips, spammers who spam their ref link to any site,... like other sites but it is always about pros and cons. while there are these downsides, there are also benefits of adding such options.
the fact that people will have a place to talk to each other and stay on the site and continue gambling is one. another is asking questions that one might have like when encountering an issue.
the chatbox can also be used to do random airdrops to users, they can be satoshis, or it can be points, or lottery tickets as reward to create incentive for people to stay active on the site and make more bets.
2211  Economy / Speculation / Re: Is this FUD or a genuine cause for concern? on: March 23, 2018, 07:57:42 AM
That's not true, man. People used to do that, but then the government got smart about it and that's why they banned megaupload and other file2sharing sites. I think I heard that piratebay got closed down too.

government doesn't give a shit about these stuff. the real reason why sites like Megaupload were shut down is because of DMCA. in other words because of copyright laws. sites like Megaupload were a place for people to share copyrighted material such as Hollywood movies and when you mess with big companies like that which lose millions they shut you down.
2212  Economy / Speculation / Re: Is this FUD or a genuine cause for concern? on: March 23, 2018, 07:36:07 AM
it is pretty simple to know if it is actually FUD or not.
OP_Return (the method they use to add arbitrary data to blockchain) was added back in 2013 and the feature was enabled in bitcoin core client in 2014 in version 0.9.0
https://bitcoinfoundation.org/core-development-update-5/
https://bitcoin.org/en/release/v0.9.0#opreturn-and-data-in-the-block-chain
all of this happened 4-5 years ago and as a matter of fact all the drama about illegal content on the blockchain also happened in 2013-2014 and the media was filled with them.

now we are in 2018 and suddenly the media decided to take out an old news, dust it off and spread it around once again. what other motivation could they have other than spreading FUD?
2213  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why do countries and banks keep dumping on Cryptocurrency? on: March 23, 2018, 07:23:20 AM
we have a bunch of different topics here.
- some idiots spreading lies about bans. or some officials talk about bans
- actual bans that happened is some rare cases in some rare countries
- price getting dumped
- bitcoin versus altcoins

you should not confuse these together. right now there is a lot of manipulation going on in bitcoin world with a lot of FUD being spread to cause panic among the investors so that the wealthy whales can earn a lot of money during this chaos in the market and eventually buy more bitcoins so that they have a bigger stake in this limited supply currency.

altcoins on the other hand is a whole different mess! most of them are absolutely useless while having an extremely high price and that bubble needs to burst as soon as possible and that is what's been happening over there. and that massive dump is actually causing some drops in bitcoin too.
2214  Economy / Speculation / Re: What will happen to bitcoin in 2018? on: March 23, 2018, 07:00:53 AM
everyone these days are making silly predictions. it looks like they all want some sort of publicity, right now they just get the small amount of publicity because they are talking about bitcoin, specially if they say something negative about it, that will be spread everywhere. and in case their dumb price prediction came true they will start gaining more publicity for a short time right after because they will look like future tellers!  and if it doesn't come true, they are just one idiot among thousands of idiots who said something and will be forgotten.
that is why we keep seeing all these weird numbers flying around. same thing happened during the rise. who remembers all those idiots who were saying price will be $50k, $100k, .... by the end of 2017?

and all the while the wise money is accumulating bitcoin...
2215  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin at 2600$, is it possible !!!! on: March 23, 2018, 06:52:19 AM
what we'v seen in the first 3 month of 2018 are huge different from what we'v been expected to see in 2018
well when you expect bitcoin price to constantly rise without any downtime to accumulate, you will be disappointed when you face the reality!

Quote
so with the last huge movement of bitcoin price what do you think ,
is it possible to see 2600$ again ??
just because we had a drop it doesn't mean any price becomes possible. and no matter how much you wish for a ridiculously low price, it will never happen just because you wish it.
2216  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: BCH vs BTC? on: March 23, 2018, 06:46:29 AM
Hi, guys, I found few articles on the Internet stating that BCH will cross BTC in few months/years. Is there any possibility? Whats your opinion?

these articles have been being published for a very long time ever since they forked off and these few months have come and gone and BCH is still the same useless coin that nobody even uses since you can see the blocks of it are nearly empty. if it wants to cross bitcoin it first has to be used at least twice as much as bitcoin but so far it is being used 1/100 of bitcoin Cheesy
2217  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Essentials for Traders on: March 22, 2018, 12:21:14 PM
1. Capital - Amount that you are willing to lose and you might don't need in the next 6mos. If you want good amount of profit, you can start with a higher capital but since you are just newbie start with small and invest big later on.
this is trading board no investors advice so when you speak of capital you are talking about the amount that traders put in. and that depends on the strategy that the trader uses. for example many use high risk strategies, invest big amounts and make bigger profits and it doesn't even last a week let alone 6 months. and even if you are using lower risk strategies it still has nothing to do with 6 months. trading is an active thing which you constantly have your money in and out not just sitting idle.

Quote
2. Knowledge - You must equip yourself with this thing and keep on learning because in trading you can learn even you lose money. You must know how to execute the basic, buy and sell and study more about the charts, don't depend to anyone.
very true. you need to gain a lot of it too and it will only be gained with spending time on the market and watching it.

Quote
3. Patience - You must be more patient in this kind of market, there's no room for your emotion here and your trading decision must really based on your study and not on any FUD news.
I wouldn't call it "patience". it is more like using your brain and not your emotions. for example when the FUD comes, not selling is not the wise choice. but instead selling at a right time is a wise choice. for example when it starts you sell before the price is dumped to the bottom not after it reached the bottom. but unfortunately when FUD comes most newbies wait until last moment to sell and that is too late and they lose money.
2218  Economy / Speculation / Re: POLL: Where are we now? on: March 22, 2018, 08:07:56 AM
none of the above, not because I don't have a prediction for bitcoin price after this point but because no matter what happens and no matter what that may look similar to, it still wouldn't be a repetition of the past.
just because some trend happened before it doesn't mean it will happen again.

the funny thing is, pretty soon none of these would matter at all. you will look back and see all these ups and downs like a dot on a bigger picture. the "boom" has not yet happened so this chart is like looking at 1 min chart and trying to predict the next year's price from it.
2219  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Amazon And Starbucks | Will They Move Into Crypto And Blockchain? on: March 22, 2018, 07:52:24 AM
in my opinion implementing blockchain technology aka creating their own altcoin is not a wise idea at all. they will make things centralized and pretty limited to their platform alone by doing that.

big shops, retailers,... like these need to add new methods of payment. it would be like asking whether they are going to accept Credit Cards and PayPal OR would they create their own credit card company and PayPal website? you see when you put it like that it becomes pretty clear that they have to start accepting bitcoin if they want to get on board with the revolution.

and I believe they will all eventually do that. it is not something that you can resist forever. it may not be something to do right now since there is not enough demand for it but in near future it will be.
2220  Economy / Gambling / Re: FreeBitco.in - Win free Bitcoins every hour! on: March 22, 2018, 07:38:05 AM
this site in serious need of a ticket system with some support staff like any other gambling site. long ago when freebitco.in was only a faucet the current system with just an Email in the FAQ section would have been enough but now it is a full gambling site with dice, lottery and even an investment section and as the options grow, the user base grows with it and with all of that their problems will also grow in number.
so users require an easy way of contacting support and a support team which gets their problems solved fast.
maybe even a chatbox is not a bad idea either.
