Tottenham will face Barcelona tonight for the Joan Gamper trophy while they are getting ready got the match but Tottenham won't use Harry Kane for this match and it seems Kane will be absent against Barcelona, while some fans and people are thinking about Kane's transfer to Baytern Munich and they think Kane is not going to play because he is going to leave Tottenham soon to another team, but the real reason for Kane to be absent in this game is because of taking a rest before the game between Tottenham and Brentford.

Barcelona won even though it was a close match. But the absence of Kane surprised me very much - after all, if he was on the field, then both he and Tottenham could take another trophy in their piggy bank. It would be practically a treble: Audi Cup, Tiger Cup and Gamper Cup  Grin
Barcelona pleasantly surprises with their performance, can they keep it in official games?
3102  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Tyson Fury vs Francis Ngannou Boxing October 28 on: August 08, 2023, 08:25:27 PM
With all due respect to Tyson (I hope I'm wrong), he has little to teach Ngannou. It's like Usain Bolt training Ngannou to run faster. Tyson is unique, and what he could do is not suitable for others, I highly doubt that Ngannou will be able to repeat those combinations with closing the distance or any of those Tyson punches. Although if he builds a strategic plan for Ngannou and he adjusts it to his physical capabilities, then the chances will appear.

Even with Mike Tyson in his corner I cannot see Fury losing the fight. Trainers can have a massive impact on the mindset of the fighter, it can give them a big psychological edge and we must not forget if there are two big strong men in a ring either of them is capable of hitting the other hard enough to make them fall down if they land a punch in the right place.

A combination of the poverty-stricken background that Ngannou came from and his sheer will to survive and thrive, alongside having Mike Tyson by his side is not going to be enough to beat Fury but it should make it a very interesting fight.

Are you writing contradictory things or am I not understanding something? There is always a chance for a lucky punch, and as they say above, if Tyson teaches Ngannou some tricks, then his chances will become even a little higher. It seems to me that Ngannou should bet precisely on this - he will give his best in the first two rounds, having previously perfected a couple of simple combinations. If he does not win at the beginning of the fight, then you can not even watch the fight further.

3104  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Minimum Age to gamble on: August 08, 2023, 07:57:42 PM
I watched a lot of interviews with people who were interested in sports betting. And I realized that addiction is as strong as possible when the player is young. And the younger he is, the worse his affairs can be with addiction.
This is easily explained by the fact that at school or student age, young people have no money at all. And betting for them is a great way to get a lot of money and become successful in the eyes of their peers. Who do not yet have an education and cannot earn skilled labor. And of course, for these young people, the feeling that they are successful with others, that they will allow themselves to buy the best things and phones - it is detrimental to their psyche.
They don't realize at a young age that their success is just luck. And tomorrow they can lose everything.

There are a lot of such traps in life and they are probably necessary for people to gain experience and no longer do it (those who are able to draw the right conclusions). For example, in my country (or, let's say, the information space of my country), along with gambling advertising, there are a lot of advertisements both outright scams (such as "forex trading" although there is no any forex there) and around scams like trading courses, scalping, etc. . All of them promise mountains of gold and involve people in their networks, and it is natural that some young people believe in this.
3105  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Olympic Games, but doping is allowed?! on: August 08, 2023, 06:34:44 PM
What is the point of discussing if doping is allowed during Olympic games or not, if every athlete uses it unintentionally in medicine and sport supplement they take. There are not clean athletes in professional sport. And Olympic games are not about sports, but which country has best pharmacology and which athlete cleans his body better. Imho doping should be allowed, but it has to be controlled, there must be standards.
You saying that these athletes who've trained for a really long time to compete in the highest competition in terms of sports are doping is such an insult to them as you are basically saying that there's no way that human body can reach those heights in athleticism without the help of performance enhancers. That's what I would I expect of someone who doesn't do sports, that everyone who can do what they can't do can't be real and that they're cheating in some way. Also, where did you get that bullshit opinion that there's no clean athletes in any sports? Is the data peer-reviewed? Are there investigations that supports the claim? Any scientific journals? The reason you want doping to be allowed is cause you're weak.

His opinion is quite reasonable because it is difficult to deny the influence of pharmacology on the performance of athletes. The question is that not all pharmacological things are considered doping (although the list always changes over time) is another matter. To illustrate, look at weightlifting records - they have doubled in a few decades, and lightweight weightlifters lift more than previous heavyweight record holders. I think that human biology has not changed, but pharmacology has become more effective.
3106  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: The madness of gambling addicts. on: August 08, 2023, 06:25:41 PM
When humans face challenges that other people think are crazy, impossible, or even very dangerous, they want to challenge themselves to try. As he said, many people would probably say it was crazy to jump from the 2nd floor just for a bet. But he really did it for the money and for the money too, people would be willing or able to do things that other people thought were impossible to do. There we will see that if someone is under pressure but sees it as a way to show people he can, he will do it. For the sake of money, we can do anything.

Yes, for the sake of money, people are capable of many things, but in many cases, just competition or the desire to be the best is enough for motivation. For example, there are many videos on YouTube where people set records for the speed of passing old games that no one is interested in (which they spent thousands of hours on) or various tricks for assembling and disassembling pyramids from cups. There is no money here but people train like crazy to get better at these absurd pursuits.
3107  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: The fight between Mark Zuckerberg and Elon Musk. Who you betting on? on: August 08, 2023, 06:16:21 PM

Elon Musk: 6 foot 2.
Mark Zuckerberg: 5 foot 7.

Elon has 7 inch height advantage and probably a big weight advantage.

They're not in the same weight division.

A lot of people may disagree, but despite the advantage that Zuckerberg has with the age, Elon looks much fitter compared to him. Zuckerberg maybe 13 years younger, but he doesn't look that healthy. And add to it the advantage with height and weight, and it is going to be a one-sided match in favor of Elon Musk. That said, the real fight between these two are ongoing in the micro-blogging platform. And Elon is clearly ahead. Zuckerberg came with his Threads app, which generated a lot of hype initially. But with every passing day, the number of active users is going down.

Zuckerberg looks unhealthy because he has moronic ideas and a similar facial expression, but I saw a photo from his workout and it is obvious that he does not have problems with muscle mass and overweight (unlike Musk). If this fight takes place according to the rules of MMA, then Zuckerberg will win, if according to the rules of boxing, then Musk (simply due to physical parameters).
3108  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: A person who won 600k$ in lottery on: August 08, 2023, 06:04:08 PM
Well, that's why a person needs to have financial literacy so that when they get their hands on some money, they should know how to spend it so that it doesn't finish and keeps adding up to the total that they have won or got from somewhere. Buying mansions, cars, and other luxury items might give you pleasure initially, but they won't give you money when you have exhausted the total amount, that is when you will need to start selling your properties one by one.

So the first step when one wins an amount that high should be to think of doing something that will earn them money in return. Start a business that you know you can run efficiently and it can be pretty profitable for you so that your money keeps increasing instead of decreasing when you start spending it.

The problem is that these lucky ones have never had such an experience. All their lives they lived from paycheck to paycheck and they simply do not understand what it means to "save money" and even more so "make money work". Therefore, when they receive huge money (in case of winning), they continue to act according to the only model that they know - they only spend money. Naturally, sooner or later any money ends.

The latest news is Mike Tyson agreed to train Ngannou in his up and coming fight against Tyson Fury, he followed his promise that he would train Ngannou if he had a boxing match coming and this is it, Ngannou had a big knock out punch if Mike can train him to polish his boxing skill and put a good timing in his punches he has a good chance of beating Tyson Fury.

[.....]
By the way, starting this season in the Premier League, stoppage time will increase in order to combat time wasting, so I can assume that this is not the biggest stoppage time that we will see in the season.
I like this change. I really find it annoying to see those players that would lay or sit on the ground while trying to waste the time on purpose.

Some players like MU's Varane have already expressed their dissenting opinion on this which is understandable. The increased playing minutes may or may not be harmful to them but I think the intention of this new rule outweighs that.

Any changes have pros and cons, but these changes do not change the essence of the confrontation much - even if the opponent is dragging out the time for 90 minutes, it is only your problem that you could not win. The endless addition of time to the main time of the game will be both annoying and exhausting, because even 10 minutes is more than 10% of the main time. Or if you look differently, then this is 33% of the duration of the added halves (which are played rarely and now they will almost always, albeit partially).
3112  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Saudi Professional League 2023/2024 on: August 07, 2023, 04:33:00 PM
Let's see what happens next, but even the pace at which he scores goals is good. It will be especially interesting to watch the final as it will be approximately equal rivals. By the way, yesterday I read that Haaland has not scored for City for the 6th game in a row. When something like this happened to Ronaldo, his haters were ready to eat him and accused him of dragging the team down, but for some reason I don’t hear anything like that about Haaland.
Yes yes yes yes you are right about this, when it comes to Cristiano Ronaldo anything becomes big, yes maybe it is because of his big name that in the end every time he does will be the center of attention. Just like what happened with his move, when Critiano Ronaldo decided to go to Arabia many said it was the end of his career and a career decline. But I didn't hear that much when Messi went to Miami, in fact, if we judge objectively then it can be said that both of them were at the end of their careers when they left Europe and also certainly it was a career decline.

Yes, unfortunately their "big" careers are over and only the conflicted Mbappe looks stable from the new generation (who theoretically can spend a whole season on the bench, although I don't believe in it). Haaland is good, but he has no charisma and leadership qualities at all.
If Al-Nassr (and therefore Ronaldo) takes the title, then we will see a new series of disputes between haters and fanboys  Grin

Barcelona won't receive a lot of money from selling dembele. Barcelana is gonna receives some parts of all of money from selling him. I remind you that if it's still a huge loss by barcelona. I meant barcelona bought dembele from dortmund with a lot of money.
The club is still suffering a huge lose from selling him but this can at least help the financial problem of barcelona. Coutinho may also leave from barcelona as well. Barcelona has been suffering very big losses by selling dembele and coutinho this season.

Dembele's medical test schedule already delayed and it will happen this weekend.

If you remember the story of how Barcelona and Dembele traded when signing the last contract, then I'm glad that everything ends like this. It is clear that everyone is trying to impose their own conditions, but at some point Dembele had no choice and he had to sign a contract for an even smaller amount, which Barcelona initially agreed to (Barcelona seized the moment). But as we can see, Dembele repaid Barcelona for this by leaving at the most inopportune moment.
3114  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ⚽ Football Transfers Speculation, Odds and Predictions on: August 07, 2023, 04:17:26 PM
I agree with that. Felix was really unable to show his skills for Chelsea as well. Technically Chelsea were having a really poor season so it was extra difficult for him to shine. But he got a red card a short time after he joined the team as well which started the criticism about him. I don't know maybe things would be different if he joins for another season but it is hard to tell anyway.

I think he should just take the potential offer coming from a Saudi team and go there. He can return after a couple of seasons and then maybe he might continue his career in Europe better than before.

It seems to me that it is easier for a football player who is 28-30 years old to return to European football from Saudi Arabia than Joao Felix. Felix is young and he still has the opportunity to progress - it is unlikely that in Saudi Arabia he will do it at the pace that is possible in Europe. I remember him from the World Cup - he is very active and creative, but he has a lot of ineffective actions, in a sense he resembles the early Vinicius. If he can become a more efficient player then he will become a star of comparable caliber.
3115  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2023/2024 on: August 07, 2023, 12:05:25 PM
Honestly I was expecting Manchester City to win this Community Shield title one way or another. I waited for a good competition at the beginning of the season of course. Because this was the first official game for both teams so I didn't expect so many goals. We were about to find out which side was readier than the other one.

Palmer's goal was really lovely and I thought the game was going to end by 1-0. But it was unbelievable that there was a stoppage time of more than 10 minutes and Trossard scored the equalizer in the last moments. This was the turning point for Arsenal as they won by 4-1 on penalties.

Initially, 8 minutes were added, but due to a head clash between Walker and Partey, extra time was extended. By the way, starting this season in the Premier League, stoppage time will increase in order to combat time wasting, so I can assume that this is not the biggest stoppage time that we will see in the season.
3116  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: French Soccer League Predictions and Discussion Thread (Ligue 1) on: August 07, 2023, 11:55:38 AM
There is an option that will satisfy at least two parties - Real Madrid. But PSG want grossly inadequate compensation for a player who only has a one-year contract and who earns a gigantic salary. They probably think that if they were stupid enough to pay so much for Mbappe, then someone else must be found. But the market doesn't work that way.
That's the problem. But on the other hand they will also want to make a return on the contract given earlier so they hope to get something big on the sale of Mbappe even if it seems forced by looking at this 1-year contract.

But if they don't act in the remaining few weeks the possibility of them getting a bigger loss is certain because when the transfer is closed then indirectly they also lose money considering that when the winter transfer is next I think Mbappe's offer will be lower because of the contract factor that is a little running out.

In winter, the cost of the Mbappe will be exactly zero. And not at all because only six months remain until the end of the contract, but because Mbappe is needed for the Champions League. But with Mbappe on PSG's squad at the start of this season, even if he moves to Real Madrid, he won't be able to play for Real Madrid in the Champions League this season. Therefore, PSG do not have the option to “play bad for half a year” and then sell him, they have to do it now or never.
3117  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Sportsbet.io's English Premier League Football Pool Discussion Thread on: August 07, 2023, 11:49:57 AM
I'm not sure a 3-4 loss to Bayern is better than a 1-1 draw to Dortmund  Grin In any case, all odds are much higher than 2, so it will be difficult to choose an outcome. It might make sense to put a "neutral" pick 2-1 in favor of Liverpool (neutral because the majority in the pool would pick that outcome), but there's still time to think.

I don't think Chelsea will lose the game though against Liverpool as they are playing at home right now in the first game and I am sure the fans are expecting to see the "hand" of Pochettino as what he has changed for the better in the team.Liverpool on the other hand has been doing great in pre season games which do not mean anything, they are just to test the players and different setup of game plays for the teams, they are more for the coaches to see what needs to be improved as a last touch before officially starting the season so for me the most likely result is either 0-0 or 1-1 draw in this game.

If we have to choose between draws, then we should bet on 1-1 or 2-2, considering how many goals Liverpool score and concede. On the other hand, Chelsea had huge performance problems last season and it is unlikely that they could completely solve them (+ Liverpool are still a strong team), based on this, one should choose 0-0 or 1-1.
It looks like we don't have any choice and we have to choose the bookmakers favorite score 1-1  Grin
3118  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Saudi Professional League 2023/2024 on: August 07, 2023, 11:39:05 AM
In the end, Al-Nassr won 3-1 and they have an easy semi-final ahead of Al-Shorta. Al-Hilal, apparently, in turn, will easily defeat the winner of the Al-Shabab and Al-Wahda pair (damn what names I can break my tongue or fingers) and in the final we will see a confrontation between two Saudi teams.
By the way, Ronaldo scores the third match in a row  Cool
As a goal productive player, when Cristiano exits his bad streak, he will score goals in some consecutive matches. It is a common habit of scorers as when they are in a scoring streak, their psychology is good and it's hard to stop them.

Let's see what happens next, but even the pace at which he scores goals is good. It will be especially interesting to watch the final as it will be approximately equal rivals. By the way, yesterday I read that Haaland has not scored for City for the 6th game in a row. In this case, you need to bet on Barcelona because the bookmakers have a different opinion and give you a chance to bet with a favorable odds (if you are right):

Real Madrid 2.00

Barcelona Fc 2.40

Atlético Madrid 9.00

To be fair, I have to say that last season Real Madrid were also favorites (but to a lesser extent) but probably the initial quotes were made when everyone was sure that Mbappe would go to Real instead of renewing his contract with PSG.
~
@KTChampions, rightly he should bet on Barcelona even though the bookies have different speculations, I know what you mean. Grin
sometimes a lot of people have too much speculation just by looking at this pre-season match even though its not really their performance but its still in a trial period but for some reason people believe too much in this match.
if everyone might speculate against Real Madrid maybe I will also speculate that soon Mbappe will sign a contract with Real Madrid.

If Mbappe moves to Real Madrid, then I think Real Madrid's quotes will be close to City's quotes and equal to 1.7-1.75.
Pre-season games don't really matter much, but you can understand something from them - for example, Real Madrid has a problem with the implementation of scoring chances (of which it creates a lot). The problem with the lack of a top striker is obvious.
3120  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Sportsbet.io's English Premier League Football Pool Discussion Thread on: August 06, 2023, 08:24:40 PM
As you can see, there is no clear favorite here, and if Chelsea suddenly starts the season with a win, it will not be a surprise.

Well I will be surprise if they can win against Liverpool on the 1st game though. Liverpool is pretty decent on the pre season games

I'm not sure a 3-4 loss to Bayern is better than a 1-1 draw to Dortmund  Grin In any case, all odds are much higher than 2, so it will be difficult to choose an outcome.
