I hope left 40 minutes both teams can scoring goals and less creativity with goals scoring due Arsenal and Manchester City are teams typical with attacking than defensive.

I thought the game would be more easier for the cityzens, but everything changed within time. Gunners got new players and new game performance. The results is still a surprise to me, watching Gunners taking the game to next level, tying their opponents down in the first half, 76minutes without a goal from both sides. The game still 0-0, Manchester City keep dominating and putting more pressure on Arsenal. Mikel Arteta standing up to Pep Guardiola this time, with fierce performance from both sides. City keeps pressuring, while gunners keeps defending, so the game is quite understandable and balanced.

I watched the match from beginning till the end Arsenal had really improved on their game with their new signings the trio of  Timber, Havertz and Declan Rice live up to expectations especially Timber who was very solid at the left back shortly after he was substituted Man City scored the opening goal by Palmer, however I think Man City had a slight domination compared to their previous meetings when they used to take most of the possessions and Haaland was kept quiet in most part of the match, winning the community shield will boost the morale of Arsenal players in readiness for the league proper next weekend.

Before the kickoff of the Community Shield match between Arsenal and Manchester City, many had predicted that Manchester City are gonna humiliate the North London club because of the better quality of players at Man City.
But I was of the opinion that though Manchester City squad is visibly better than Arsenal, Arsenal might still shock City and win the cup and just like I predicted the game, Arsenal won.

Arteta made some errors in todays match, he should have substituted Harvertz earlier than when he did, and Timber was really performing well in his position, he shouldn’t have substituted him, immediately Arteta removed Timber then Manchester City had the opportunity to score their goal.

Yes Arteta formation and tactics were bad today, firstly Timber was excellent but struggled to use his left foot from the left side properly, since Zincheko is available then Timber should start as a Center back and Zinchenko at the left. Additionally, I expect Arsenal manager Mickel Arteta to bring on Nketiah and Trossard on time due to some errors Hervertz made in the first half of the game, and the substitution of Timber was another decision that Arsenal fans were unhappy with because that was the position Manchester City used to score Arsenal after he was substituted. Saka needs a competitor, a player of his calibre, but for the time being, they have Nelson to back him up, even though they are not in the same class in terms of performance on the pitch.

Sincerely speaking,  Newcastle has put in place some commendable forces that can possibly place the club in a better position in the coming season even though Newcastle's performance was also good but not very ok most especially in the champions league to the signing of new players into the club will be a great boost for the club against the next season and Newcastle will have a fun season this 2023-2024 season.

More also some of the clubs in the same category as Newcastle like Chelsea,  Arsenal and Liverpool are all taking similar steps to better their lots in the next season considering the average performance in the last season.

Congratulations to Arsenal. It's always nice to open a season with a cup. They won 5 of last 10 cups and totally dominated Community Shield last decade.
I hope they recover quick from last seasons trauma and be competitive this season in Premier League. My favorite is Manchester City again but I'd like to see similar competition this season as well. One team's dominance kinda ruin the fun.

I'm also happy about Arsenal's win of today and I wished they had won the Premiere League last season but today's win for me was also a bit of a mistake by Guardiola. He probably underestimated Arsenal because in a game like this Bruyne has to be in the starting line-up and not come on as a substitute in the 64th minute. 10 minutes after being substituted on, he immediately made the assist for the goal.

I often talk about how exceptional De Bruyne's assists are at Manchester City. Who would have thought that when he was substituted in the 77th minute, he would do something truly remarkable? Even though Haaland had been on the field for 10 minutes before De Bruyne's entrance, Guardiola noticed that nothing significant changed. However, once De Bruyne stepped in, he made Arsenal concede with an incredible assist. Currently, among English teams, he stands out as one of the most prolific players in terms of assists. It was a decent game but I didn't expect this as I felt Manchester City could have been much better than this.
But still Arsenal got the Community Shield and of course we must congratulate Arsenal for their victory and hopefully this will be a morale booster for Arsenal in the hunt for the season which will take place in a few days.

On the other hand, this defeat makes Manchester City even further away from the Community Shield. 3 times they were here in 3 consecutive years and 3 times they also had to accept defeat.

The UCL was city's ultimate prize and since winning it, I feel like they won't be able to reach that level of performance and they've lost the services of some of their veteran players in the transfer window so there's an obvious drop in quality of the squad. Manchester city are just not lucky with community shield games in recent times. Good thing City didn't make it easy for Arsenal - making them grind hard for the cup. After watching the game, it gladdens me that the PL is finally kicking off. Being a while.

Since Arsenal's squad standard is inferior to that of Manchester City's, despite the fact that Arsenal recruited several new players to the team, I didn't anticipate that they would be able to win the Community Shield today. In fact, I am relieved that they did. De Bruyne wasn't given the opportunity to start because, in my opinion, Guardiola underrated Arsenal. I expected Arteta to substitute him in the early minutes of the second half but that didn't happen, rather Justin Timber who was having a fantastic game was replaced by Tierney who couldn't do much to prevent Cole Palmer's opener. Arteta made some errors with his changes in the game.

I don't even expect Arteta to use Kai Havertz to top strike because he doesn't have the ability to play that position as well as Nketiah or Trossard. Since I witnessed Kai Havertz's weak striking performances in Chelsea. But maybe he is performing better on the training ground, which is why Arteta is still giving him that much opportunity. Seriously, Kai Havertz performed poorly in that striking position today. I also don't expect  him to stay in the game for a long time today; he was expected to sub in the first half.

Are you trying to say stoppage time was erroneously awarded?
From what I understand, they calculate all the stoppage times and then that how they determine the total time.

If you watched world cup, you will notice that there are now new changes. Seeing 1 or 2 minutes of stoppage time will be a thing of the past.

However, I think Manchester City will win the league again because Pep will be able to get the maximum out of the current squad. Manchester City are still the best in this league.

do you think that Newcastle is not a big team? or do you not know how the history of Newcastle in the past?
indeed, at this time Newcastle is lost from its heyday, not like it used to be because many teams have improved the performance of their players and from a financial point of view it is very different. but you should know that in the past Newcastle had won the premier league and was very much feared by other teams like now Man City but unfortunately that time has passed and now it has become a new era for other teams and I admire Newcastle efforts which are slowly improving his performance to return to his former glory and give his fans pride.

The addition extra time that was given was 8 minutes, so after spending like 5 minutes out of the 8 minutes additional time that was given, their was a collision between Manchester City player and Arsenal player which they wasted fee minutes of their time, i think the time wasted was added to the 8 minutes and that was why the referee didn’t blow the final whistle early, if they didn’t waste that time, am sure he will have blown the whistle early and the goal scored by Arsenal won’t have happen.

Unbelievable thing happened with arsenal. I guess if it's pure luck caused by the ball was getting changing its direction after it was hitting city's defender. I would like to call that if arsenal is lucky enough in this game.
There's no a better factor than getting luck at the end of game for scoring a goal and make the situation to be draw. I kinda feel if 11 minutes was quite long. The pressure that comes from arsenal didn't work, but trossard's shoot was giving a hope for arsenal;.
Just congrats for arsenal. It seems like that luck is also still playing the biggest factor that can change the situation in the game. The ball rebound was preventing city from winning the trophy.

The new goalkeeper, Andre Onana been criticized by fans for his poor performance in friendly games. The Cameroonian have good footings on the ball and always outside his box, so conceding far away shots would be achievable by his opponents. United former goalkeeper, David de Gea had his own blunders, but he still made good performance at Old Trafford. Then look at the Andre Onana, already opening his weaknesses and the league haven't started, let's see how everything will plan out.

I expect a better formation rather than put KDB in the bench to be played during the second half. M city was not lucky enough in this game. It can be seen from how trossard's shoot was able to change its direction.

True, im quite surprising to see how long the additional gime being given by the referee. KDB was making bad execution in the penalty in result it was also impacting the execution from his team mate.

Pep Guardiola losing to his former boy, Mikel Arteta for the very first time, more like celebrating their victory. No one expected the winning outcome of Arsenal, they all thought as usual, Arsenal will struggle until they conceded and give up, but reversed was the whole scenario, they fight back and claimed their triumphed in the final. Manchester losing to Arsenal on penalty shootouts doesn't bother me, what baffles me is that, the gunners have the strength to hold city down full time draw. That implies that Arsenal are not holding back, they put in everything they got, and deserved the trophy.

I assumed Arsenal would not be able to equalize the score after Manchester City took the lead after 77 minutes of play. Unexpectedly, and with the game practically over, Arsenal managed to score another goal. The game's flow is fantastic. If Manchester City wins this game, everyone will assume that they are doing the same thing they did last season, but in all honesty, I don't believe that will be the case. And I've been predicting that when the new season started, teams would start scoring goals against Manchester City, and now it has happened. Most people, in my opinion, did not predict that Arsenal would equalize the game. But thankfully, they do so even as the game was about to end.

Although I was expecting a more intelligent formation than they used in the first half, I was astonished when the game began without Kelvin Debryune. They may have first refused to include him because they believe they can win Arsenal or because they are continuing to act in the same way they did during the previous season. Congratulations to all Arsenal supporters; it's a great accomplishment for us as we have a strong start to the season.
