chill out, 10k$ is just a matter of days

with the upcoming forks of Bitcoin Silver, Bitcoin Diamond and Super Bitcoin the FOMO will be inevitable
and if that will not help, print more Tether!!!

You forgot Bitcoin Platinum.  Tongue

Good, let them. Soon nobody will give a shit about the forks anymore. Same as when the first normal alts started. Bitcoin just needs some time to build up its imunity.

But, but, what about Dogecoin? Koinye? Doesn't anyone care any more?  Grin

I don't mind jbreher's posts because they are easily refuted using facts. So I don't think he is to be feared. But I understand your points, after all it's a Bitcoin thread (arguably the best there is), and it should stay a Bitcoin thread. Altcoin supporters and Bitcoin haters can go post in the appropriate sections or start their own threads.

There will always be anti-Bitcoin FUD and pro-altcoin shilling here in the Wall Observer. The issue is the frequency and intensity.

Kwukduck generally only comes out during dips and generally doesn't post walls of text the way Jbreher does.

Most of us have come to look upon Kwuk as a comic-relief buffoon and are entertained by his drivel, but because Jbreher dresses his BS up with a pseudo-intellectual snottiness, it rubs people the wrong way.

Perhaps we should just stop feeding the troll by taking him so seriously.

Thanks to Infofront for doing such a good job at a thankless task. Cheers bro.

A late good morning Bitcoinland.

No new ATH but an OK consolidation and resistance to another weekend assault by the big-block altcoiners... currently $7740USD/$9885CAD (Bitcoinaverage).

Total (incl. forkcoins) is $9168USD/$11709CAD (Coinmarketcap).

Could be worse. One good push and we're on to a new ATH. Go Bitcoin go.

I think you're just imaging about the 8k goal because i haven't seen any chart that give a mark at 8k$ of Bitcoin at all. Only 7k8$.

Attack? Bitcoin needs to be fixed, that's obvious. $ 7523.00 (-5.05%) plus $ 1325.14 (38.43%), not so bad.

You need to be fixed

You mean neutered? I don't think there's anything there to remove.

 Cheesy
3107  Economy / Speculation / Re: Top 20 days for Bitcoin on: November 17, 2017, 05:11:51 PM
I think people care more about the actual highest trade of the day rather than the weighted average, even though a single tiny high-priced trade doesn't really mean anything much.

I certainly care more about the weighted average, precisely for the bolded reason.

Hopefully we'll see an across-the-board ATH jackpot today and 5 digits in CAD.
3108  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: November 17, 2017, 04:51:47 PM
Well good morning Bitcoinland.

I see we finally got our ATH but not $8k yet... currently $7919USD/$10151CAD (Bitcoinaverage).

Total including forkcoins is $9157USD/$11730CAD (Coinmarketcap).

Nice to be over $10kCAD. That's a significant milestone.

Now let's get over $8kUSD. Go Bitcoin go.

3109  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: November 16, 2017, 03:41:17 PM
Good morning Bitcoinland.

Looks like we're continuing to rise, albeit a little slower, and we're scrapping over $7.5k now... currently $7490USD/$9550CAD (Bitcoinaverage).

The overall old coin value (incl. forkcoins) is now $8677USD/$11065CAD (Coinmarketcap).

Bitcoin up a little, alts down a little, not much total change.

Another decent rally and we could be looking at an ATH though.

Go Bitcoin go.

#8 across the board. Back in single digits.

Nice.

Me too.

However, if I was better with photoshop I'd replace the grass and trees in the background with moon craters.

Let's see. That would be the moon, trains, Sparta and Carolina. Have we left anything else out?

Lambo?

The honey badger? Maybe on top of the train... or inside the lambo.

I like it... a honey badger driving a Lambo racing with a train driven by a Spartan brandishing a fiddle, on the surface of the moon.

Memes 'r' us.  Cool

normally I wouldn't condone tampering with such a classic, but it is Bob's work, and, well, I rather like it

A lovely bright good morning Bitcoinland.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Pn59e0xAZAk

I see we're back well over $7k again... currently $7231USD/$9231CAD (Bitcoinaverage).

Total value of old coins (including forkcoins) is $8653USD/$11038CAD (Coinmarketcap).

The total might be an ATH. The forkcoins have increased the value more than the dip from the Bitcoin ATH has diminished it.

'Tis a fine day for long-term holders. Now let's see a new Bitcoin ATH.

Go Bitcoin go.

...how long will this fall rise continue.

Until the next ATH and beyond... probably this week.

I don't know about you, but if it is true, I find it quite encouraging: https://cryptocurrencyinvesting.news/adam-back-bitcoin-block-size-increase-in-mid-term-is-possible/

Stick to Core's roadmap, a block size increase will come later if it's needed.

IMAGE REMOVED

thanks Paashaas, nice illustration.

Dang: "image removed". You canīt build up the tension and then leave us out there, in the cold.
Thatīs just cruel !

But i guess, what it said, anyway . . .

What the heck is BCH-ABC?

https://www.bitcoinabc.org/

Sorry. I didn't want to use the word "Bitcoin" to describe anything to do with this altcoin.

What I meant was that when I was totaling forkcoins I only included the BCH listed at Coinmarketcap.

I don't get it, did BCH change name to ABC after the fork? Or are there two chains, BCH and ABC

I'm still trying to figure that out myself.

I'd been led to believe there was a hard fork coming, so I anticipated possible giftcoins.

Now the way I see it is that it's a soft fork, much the way segwit was with Bitcoin. You can implement it or not.

I guess there are no giftcoins after all. I shouldn't have even mentioned it.

Perhaps someone else can help clarify this matter.
