3161  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Isn't it time for a new service in place of Coinbase/Circle in another country? on: December 08, 2016, 01:59:30 PM
With IRS coming down on Coinbase and asking them for their customers history, and now Circle changing their service and (apparently) no longer offering any buy or sell services for bitcoin, and also all other restrictions that US has and will keep on implementing on anything money related; don't you think it is time to see a new service based on another country?
For the exchange to provide services in other country,it must either not allow the access to countries whose regulations they don't comply with or make sure they don't accept accounts from that particular location (ip based checking etc).Or they can simply follow the regulations made by the IRS and continue doing business there.I think it's time to give up on the exchanges, peer to peer platforms hosted no commercially inside the forums is a much better option. Not to mention but every country has similar exchanges which run legally and live under the shade of governmental norms.

maybe a Coinbase like service located in Switzerland would be nice in my opinion.
To serve US customers they must comply with the us laws that is they must be able to provide logs on demand.
3162  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: Loaning System for BTC on: December 03, 2016, 07:44:12 AM
I think you should make it. It is always good to have more places for people to turn to for loamds and for lenders to create business and nice passive income. I think you need to have more secirty then just a half of fame and shame though.
The urge to earn passive incomes turns the urge to slap the shit of borrowers real quick considering the amount of scams they face for every satoshi they try to get back with rate of interest.I've invested some money in getline lending service since 6 months and I never got the money back, all I get is ROI per day I think which is 0.00001 aka fuckin worthless. Can't even withdraw the invested money neither do anything with the interests. It's all a scam my dear friend.
3163  Economy / Gambling / Re: Satoshidice.com having issues? on: December 03, 2016, 07:33:47 AM
I don't know how relevant it sounds but just posting here incase some finds it helpful connecting the dots.

SatoshiDice starts a new signature campaign with higher paid rates here : https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1666258.msg16730810#msg16730810

After two weeks of running, the campaign unexpectedly decides to shut down with campaign manager's last update :

Hi guys. I just want to let you know that campaign is in pause phase. Please, feel free to join in another campaign. Thank you.

Take it as you want it.I think both the instances are co-related somehow but I maybe wrong.
3164  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Cointelegaph was publishing scam promotion. on: December 03, 2016, 07:24:55 AM
Neither anyone had an idea of their intentions.
Well, there's been a pretty critic discussion about Coince very soon (reference: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1365561.0),
so people did have an idea about what was going to happen.
I wonder why that thread is not open for further discussions ? But anyway, that makes sense because only after interference from the community we concluded it is a ponzi.Maybe cointelegraph doesn't invest as much time as they should be before promoting obvious scams.
3165  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: This guy is fucking people silently - what a scammer! on: December 03, 2016, 07:15:45 AM
No-one on here will do ANYTHING ! !   Its a fucking joke

Ive highlighted this daily and nothing gets done .

Its as if the admin or mods or owners are getting a cut of all his scams .

Disgusting !!
Let me make it simple for you,Scams and Scamming is not against bitcointalk's rules. So better yet as Pharmacist said, know your own shit .I too in the past have tried reporting such threads but that ended up only to my dissatisfaction. You want to get rid off them real bad? Watch out for the number of times he bumps the post, bumping more than once in a day is certainly against the rules and if you report the post then, watch him get nuked instantly.
3166  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: I need help with a project on: December 03, 2016, 07:09:55 AM
You will not get attention here, why, because your rank, your trust and your post history.
That's a logical fallacy! You cannot disregard his ideas just because of his rank or post history or trust! Why would you ? Those qualities are needed when judging a person with forum related activities such as escrow service but not for a project,at least in this case. However I agree this forum is probably not the right place for him since I don't see no mention of "bitcoins" anywhere in his project.
3167  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Cointelegaph was publishing scam promotion. on: December 03, 2016, 07:05:18 AM
It's not like they are advertising them in purpose but they simply advertise whoever pays the most without giving a damn about the readers of their blog.
Not exactly. The don't do regression searches over the content that's being advertised but that doesn't mean they promote obvious scams.Like why you would not see them promoting and bitcoin HYIPS ? I'm sure the HYIP creators can certainly pay good enough for promotion, rather an "investment".

I'm going to list a few sites that cointelegraph advertised and turned into a full scam :

- HashOcean
- Biteminer
- Hashing24 (not yet but there is a scam accusation at the moment)
- BitPlutos (more then one scam accusation against them)
- Coince
- SearchTrade
Those didn't turn into a scam after they day there advertised.Neither anyone had an idea of their intentions. It was only after a few months people started saying  "what sorcery is this" ?

3169  Economy / Gambling / Re: fortunejack site is going to close? on: December 03, 2016, 06:55:49 AM
Since this morning payments are pending and Monica support team member just telling full lies.

It looks like site is going close soon or later before deposit money be careful.

My payments still paying for more than 12 hours - first they said some maintenance work and later I will get it soon and now no answer from them.

Anyone else facing same issue?
I wonder how people jump to dumb conclusions.Pending deposits == Website shutdown ? No Logic Found. There is no Monica,it's some random Indian dude behind the chat box paid to laugh at your queries.

Edit - finally they confirmed my payment after 14 hours but its been 10+ hours but still 0 confirmations from blockchain.

Don't expect a instant payments from fortunejack site anymore.
Too bad, only we would see their close-down benefiting the community is the amount of sig spam being cut down from the Gambling section. Tongue
3170  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Longest bitcoin transaction that you have waited? on: December 03, 2016, 06:50:31 AM
Well this is not a huge amount but this was the first time that i've experience more than 24hrs of bitcoin transaction waiting period and until know i haven't receive it yet. I was actually thinking that this is something bad. Well i know that it would varies on the miners and there were there issues last month about too much unconfirmed transactions.
No,that would primary vary on the transaction fees.In my experience,as long as the transaction fees were good enough I never had to wait longer than 3 hours for the transactions I ever broadcasted except for the time where there were network issues and confirmation timings were slogging for everybody.

this is the current transaction(considering that it is on the high priority list)
https://blockchain.info/tx/b144e831bc3803d087247b2956d8e757ccbd08e9f84476f2d590a6fc39dc786e

Mind of sharing your longest bitcoin transaction waiting process?
Not sure why is your second transaction was delayed. The fees seems good enough.

144 minutes!
Being a newbie, I only broadcast one transaction so far:

Congratulations.Did you manually calculated the fee or use an online wallet ?
3171  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Europa League/Champions League Lounge on: December 03, 2016, 06:42:53 AM
Dont be so greedy to bet on Ronaldo as the top scorer. I know there are still many matches in CL and it is possible for him to score much more goals, but Messi is still there who is also a great goal scorer. The margin goal for both players is too big for Ronaldo to overtake. It is almost impossible to Ronaldo to be top scorer, unless Messi is stop playing (injuried) or Ronaldo constantly score at least 2-3goals per match while Messi is stuck on 7 goals.

Never say that it is impossible for him because both messi and ronaldo is actually quite different then the other football player so there is still chances for ronaldo to score more goals to catch up with messi's record and not impossible for him to beat messi anyway because both team going to advance furher in the champions league
They aren't different in what sense ? Ronaldo has acquired those skills by hard work and dedication,Messi is naturally gifted.Do you see the differences ? I'd not be surprised to see Ronaldo beating the record soon since there is a higher probability that Messi would announce his retirement from the Game.
3172  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Cricket match prediction discussions on: December 02, 2016, 02:17:47 PM
Chittagong Vikings is batting first and after 4 overs they are at 16/1, I placed my bet on 140 runs or more @1.52 even run rate is slow at the moment but they have ability for good finish, I think final target will be over 150 runs at the end of their innings.
That is not a good start! For some reason,I'm unable to watch the broadcast due to the cable issuesThe run rate from what you just said is not likely to reach 140 if the lose 3 more wickets under 75-100.Only a bad baller is their treasure at the moment.
3173  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: I need help with project to help the next one on: December 02, 2016, 11:29:11 AM
I understand that you don't have as much command over English but you need to be clear on what exactly you're looking for. Also I appreciate the fact that you're doing it for no profits and is not going to be easy since not many are interested in selling their skills out for free.
3174  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: create a exchange site with new ideas on: December 02, 2016, 11:24:39 AM
The scalability of the website died right at the point where you want people to be able to trade without revealing their identity.Such websites do exists on te dark net mainly but not possible on the clear net due to the restrictions by the law.In simple terms, abide by the exchange laws or find yourself behind the bars.
3175  Economy / Services / Re: Need Developers Who Can Bring New Technology on: December 01, 2016, 06:37:58 PM
We can make a new coin which is so anonymous that it practically lives in in your thoughts and the entire blockchain runs in your brains.Do I qualify ?
3176  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Online Gambling vs Real Gambling on: December 01, 2016, 06:33:09 PM
For me I Think online gambling is more safe than real life gambling, especially if in your country gambling is illegal, because if you are gambling in real and you get caught by police, jail is waiting for you.
Are there countries where all forms of gambling are illegal? I would think that even in countries where gambling is highly regulated, they still have som casinos that are legal and licensed by the government.
Yes in India, gambling is prohibited that is,no casinos could be run legally and openly for the normal audiences. However the VIP's have their way out in 5 star hotels.Indian Government has a lottery system as a substitute and anybody with initial investment can easily acquire the license to start one. They provide you with software and it's hosted centrally, not sure how fair it is but the more you know!
3177  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Altcoins in Gambling on: December 01, 2016, 06:27:05 PM
I am not very knowledgeable with bitcoin and other altcoins but I have noticed that altcoins that can be used in popular gaming/gambling sites tend to be a solid coin-type unlike others that I really don't see the value in keeping.
Because the players/customers of the gambling sites also want extra features like accepting the altcoin of their choice ? And obviously the market trend, one would play dice on a site where his altcoin is accepted rather then playing where it isn't.Makes sense ?

My question now is how can a specific coin be included or played in gambling sites? Is it only because the owner of the gambling site and the developer of that coin agreed to or are there factors or qualities necessary before a coin can be added to the gambling site?

The popularity of the coin comes first before you can gamble with it or gambling with it makes it popular?
The popularity of the coin. Not much is needed from the gambling devs or the coin devs since the coins ain't coming from either of them. All it takes is to make a wallet for accepting that coin.
3178  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: Bitcointalk Signature Campaign Calculator [Preview] on: December 01, 2016, 06:14:00 PM
This is something I have considered and I plan to implant a feature that will send the posts to an online quality checker system via API (so I do not have to do the work - leave it to a big company with more resources to do it) to "judge" the quality of posts. This is so that I can focus more on others area where I am more comfortable. I am thinking of using Microsoft Cognitive System - Bing Spell Check since they have a free plan of up to 5000 calls per month - which is more than what most signature campaign need (let's say, if one person make 100 posts per month, they can have 50 participants).

One problem with this is that, the user will have to trust me with their API. Since there is a limit of 5000 calls per month, I couldn't use my own API key. Unless, of course, they decide to run the script on their own system - which I am not going to release my script until most of the required features is up.
Tell me what do you think about this idea.
Using API key and trust issues is not even the closest concerns. What bothers me is the efficiency of the remote API.Simply checking spellings and grammar doesn't really decide whether a post is spammy or constructive, neither does it's length. If not for implementing your own Machine Learning Algorithm,I barely see anything that is going to work out for our own scenario. What I'm really implying is,let the bot learn more about posts in bitcoin talk, where it comes to a point it can segregate a good post from the bad one by itself with matching the patterns.
3179  Economy / Gambling / Re: BettorChain | Yet another dice game on: December 01, 2016, 06:09:12 PM
"Yet another dice game",exactly why you should be thinking twice before laying your hands on the keyboard. You know even Shit Dice has better graphics than yours and it was just made for trolling moneypot based dice sites.I'm not trying to pull your pants, just don't waste time and efforts on something which doesn't hold any real value in the world.

Use a proper Scam Report Format.Since you're sending him Paypal,I'm sure you can reverse the transactions. Please contact their support team to get your money back.

P.S. : Don't tell them you were trying to buy "cryptos" with it or your money will be forever gone.
