322  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Opinions on Mexc GLobal on: March 10, 2024, 12:19:08 PM
Made an account here just to say the stole $40,000 from me a few days ago. They claim abnormal profits without providing any proof and refuse to return funds. After some investigating I'm 99% certain the exchange is just a front for a huge scam.
Can you provide more info? Or better to make a new thread on the scam accusation board, follow this format and provide more information supporting your accusation.

323  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Drake loses $615k bet on Joshua-Ngannou bout on: March 09, 2024, 11:48:18 PM
And you think this amount really affects him?
Of course, no, he lost more than that, the post is just letting us know how broke most people are in compare to a high bettor that even lossing thousands of $, his life is not affected to it.

but at least this could have gone a way for the helpless people out there than to just lost it in gamble.
It's his money, no need to tell him that, let the man enjoy what he earned for. He is not obliged to give those who are broke, your money your rules.

But, do you know that he has too many philanthropic activity[1] already before saying this?

324  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Beware Shuffle.com Shady Casino/Sportsbook on: March 09, 2024, 11:30:51 PM
Bla bla, Usually they ask KYC when you are trading in multiple thousands and winning. Not when literally your total wager amount is under $1000 and locking your money hiding behind their garbage ToS. There is another post on the thread where they are holding money hostage 6 weeks even after providing KYC! That's absurd.
Yeah, yeah, just keep whining, people here already know how casino KYC works and no one will side you, even defend you, until you submit your KYC then still have the same issue.

The one posted on their ANN is a serious one, shitty casinos who only rely on the same IP range for labeling multi-accounting is absurd. IP address, device, browser, screen width x height, KYC should be the same or similar to label someone as multi accounting not just IP range.
325  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Beware Shuffle.com Shady Casino/Sportsbook on: March 09, 2024, 11:13:34 PM
...
So your main problem is having asked for KYC? In your 5 years of experience you should already know that licensed casinos especially new ones are abide to ask KYC whenever they want, especially after XX withdrawal requests. So before registering to any casino you should be ready your KYC info after wagering X amount to them.

If you don't want to experience such thing better to stick to reputed casinos like Stake that will only ask after thousands of $$ withdrawals.
326  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Have I been Scammed?? on: March 09, 2024, 11:06:59 PM
Ok thanks! It is definitely not a made up story, I will post her remarks from telegram and her wallet id later when I get home.
Where did you find their info, website and telegram group? How much have you sent to the scammers? What is the rate percentage they offering for their investment scheme that encourage you to invest and trust them?

Having a little knowledge on how an obvious scam works is really scary, you could end up lossing your savings in just one click.
327  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: US GOVERNMENT CONTINUES BITCOIN SEIZURES, CONTROLS NEARLY 1% OF CIRCULATING SUPP on: March 09, 2024, 04:55:40 AM
The source said that US holdings came from another seize, from bitfinex hackers but since bitfinex does not operate in US so they refuse to give back those coins to the exchange which is really absurd. Will they be called thief too?

Selling those coins through OTC like coinbase is possible and additional fund for them, welp, a free investments.
328  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Are people still using bitcoin ATMs? on: March 09, 2024, 04:22:06 AM
Never had experienced using one of those as there is nothing here yet in my area. But i don't think i will use them regularly for cashing out or even buying bitcoin as its fee is always the case, it's too high compare to others, but using it once or twice will be good add up experience.

as I think it won't be long before they impose KYC 100% and then I will stop using them.
Asking KYC on ATMs? How will they do that? It will be their huge loss if that happens.
329  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How many satoshis are there per person in the world? on: March 08, 2024, 11:57:50 PM
Nice website but those calculations and figures are all assumptions. Too many questions to mentions, the world population, bitcoin supply, even the bitcoin price as its very stable.
It's calculated to all population disregarding the age (young and old age) and knowledge of the person. Well, this is just example assumptions of figures on every person of the world so no need to believe such thing.
330  Economy / Gambling / Re: Casinos not asking for KYC to register and play, but do require it to withdraw on: March 08, 2024, 10:59:17 PM
I see this as a moral obligation rather than an obligation under the law. It has become self-evident to expect that any services website has the absolute and sole authority to make updates to the terms of use, whether by amendment or modification, even if this is not stipulated in the TOS.
It is under their legal obligation, ToS is their legal rights and they should do it ethical/proper way. Most big companies do this and do always make it in advance, notifying its users few days before it take effect because it's the right of their users to agreed the new terms and so its users can continue or stop using their service. Although this is the right way, many services like casinos failed to do it for obvious reasons, deceive their users through their terms of service.

331  Other / Meta / Re: Old usernames and notifier on: March 08, 2024, 02:59:21 PM
@Tryninja sir, I still didn’t try if the bot will work if you input different UID to a username. Will the bot gives you a notification from 2 accounts?
I didn't explore the source codes of the bot yet, but i feel like the registered username will be used only for mentions, and the UID will be used for parsing the profile, like merit page and profile page since the profile urls are based on UIDs.

As i have tried to register "theymos" as the username and the uid were from Tryninja (557798).
But when i give merit to Tryninja and Theymos, i received a notification from the bot of the received merit only for Tryninja. So yeah, i'm correct.

332  Other / Meta / Re: Old usernames and notifier on: March 08, 2024, 02:35:48 PM
but that's only if members were to mention their old user names and for what reasons.
Only when username is newly changed as members are not used to it. I even still using "Royse777" disregarding the "AB de" when talking/mentioning about him/her.

I have tried searching before for old names using ninjastic.space but it's not possible.
It's not possible because user's profile was parsed so many times already changing all its past records/posts. But you can still find them via the post content search, this includes the quoted old usernames of the users.
333  Other / Meta / Re: Old usernames and notifier on: March 08, 2024, 02:00:03 PM
The telegram bot is registered text based, which you need to input your username for you to get notified when someone mention you or quote your post, actually you can register other usernames too. If the registered btt username in telegram is your old btt username and it was mentioned or quoted by someone then possibly you will still receive a notification. Until you changed it, or use the track phrase with your old or new username instead.
334  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: SCAMMED by HitBTC on: March 07, 2024, 11:54:07 PM
The chance you will get any response from their representative and your problem getting resolved is very low. First, their rep is inactive sicne 2020, second they are known as scam, they even got a shoutout from different known personality in social media like mcaffee and guess what, they are still operating because there are still using them even though they are known to being scam.
335  Other / Meta / Re: Tag a user to update their broken image links on: March 07, 2024, 11:06:57 PM
There are active users on the forum who know about the possibility of how to update old images easily but still refuse to do it. Maybe they have doubts about the code, thinking it can somehow lead to their accounts being compromised.
A javascript code that was made by reputed user who already made different open source projects is very least of the problem. It's more like that these users didn't want to offer their service anymore or didn't care the thread anymore since they are very old and outdated or something else.
336  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Crypto Scams in Each Market Condition? on: March 07, 2024, 03:23:47 PM
Scammers don't chose dates on when they will make their new and next move. They always ride the current issue, news, event, etc. then make their move. But one thing is for sure the motive is obvious and it's to make their next victim fall for it with monetary value. As long as you know it's too good to be true offer, suspicious users suddenly messaging you, new created website, fake apps and websites (google search is a huge help) then you're good..
337  Local / Pilipinas / Re: Philippines SEC will Ban Binance. Effectivity End of Feb. 2024 on: March 07, 2024, 03:02:20 PM

338  Other / Meta / Re: Tag a user to update their broken image links on: March 07, 2024, 02:51:06 PM
I found these users who are still active but didn't yet use this tool obviously because their old threads with images has image proxy errors. Most of these are designers who usually post images of their works.

@roslinpl
@izanagi narukami
@Maus0728

Edit: Maus0728 has been mentioned already but looks like he doesn't need it.
339  Other / Meta / Re: TalkImg.com - Image hosting for BitcoinTalk on: March 07, 2024, 02:23:31 PM
The issue is that the server is configured to only accept traffic coming from Bitcointalk. That doesn't mean it doesn't work on other forums. I just can't guarantee that they always work.
That actually make sense, talkimg images posted in altcoinstalks loads too long, you can observe it when you load a thread with talkimg image on it that the browser tab is still loading and the lower left/right of the browser has "Transfering data from talkimg.com.." for too long.

But, I ask, do you think this "restriction" should be lifted?
If there's no downside on the server and no legal issue (copyrights) (well you can mention it on the website terms), why not?
340  Local / Pilipinas / Re: Paparating na ang bull run kumita kana ba? on: March 07, 2024, 02:00:43 PM
Be your experience is your teacher, ika nga.

That's okay, as long na hindi pa nag da-dump ng masyado ang price, we are still at 66k so pwede pa. Malaki kase chance na tumaas habang papalapit ang halving. Nakapag buy kase ako about 40k - 50k range tapus hodl lang then sell sa 68k sarado. Good decision na din na nakapag buy back ako sa 62k kaya medjo kampante ako sa growth now. Sana nga tumaas pa Haha.
