1281  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Image link not working on bitcointalk on: June 13, 2023, 02:16:13 AM
Try to use talkimg.com or imgbb because there is something wrong linking imgur images. You can see a note when you're making a new or editing a post, i'm sure you just overlook that note.

1282  Local / Pilipinas / Re: Isa na namang Bitcoin negative publicity on: June 12, 2023, 11:41:42 PM
Not so big deal naman ang mga ganyan, besides marami ng mga movies ang nag me'mention ng Bitcoin as a way to buy illegal things which no one cannot deny, kase nanggaling naman ang bitcoin sa stage na yan — silk road marketplace, or even today.
1283  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: My shoppy.gg payments are stuck on: June 11, 2023, 11:20:49 PM
I just don't understand the concept of a crypto online marketplace like them not paying the proper fees . Especially if the person doing the selling is the one paying the fees anyway, it's not like it comes out of shoppy's pocket.
Instead of blaming the sender, specifically this one, because they are also a business who wants to lessen the fee for them to get more profit.
We should question the technical side of it, where the network should drop the transaction already by a specific time not more than X days so it could not be like this that its almost 3 months.
1284  Bitcoin / Development & Technical Discussion / Re: Do you think BIP 106 would have solved the Mempool congestion due to BRC20? on: June 11, 2023, 11:00:50 PM
It is probably because of possible flaws that may happen and can affect the Bitcoin network even worse.
So what are the possible flaws? This is not something you can't predict of those "possible" flaws. There should an specific technical reason why it is not approved, i hope there is a discussion of it why they don't approve such scalable proposal.
1285  Other / Meta / Re: Why is this system not set up for the Bitcointalk forum? on: June 11, 2023, 10:36:11 PM
Ye, most of them make sense, but this is a very old forum who is currently working a new forum software and probably all of the mentioned features will be available there. Unfortunately there is no exact date when it will be available to use.
1286  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Nigerian SEC declare Ban on Binance Exchange activities. on: June 11, 2023, 04:07:57 PM
I don't want to think that the SEC is moving to ban Binance operations in Nigeria, declaring it an illegal entity.
Because it's not registered or licensed on their countries' crypto businesses record? Any international businesses that are accepting from X countries' people will always be needed to get a business licensed and follow its regulations either it's crypto regulation or not or else it will be labeled as illegal operations.
1287  Other / Meta / Re: Text size while posting reply on: June 10, 2023, 11:59:46 PM
I added screenshot to OP to show how text looks like. As I said, everything was fine, text size was big enough to read it easy. And I haven't changed any settings, so, no idea why it's changed. Now tried to find how to change it in settings, but didn't found.
That's how it looks like to me too, and it always needs me to zoon in/out when replying or reading replies.
Have you tried to check the "Accessibility"? All of the settings there is all about browser's font, zoom in/out, text scaling, etc.
1288  Other / Meta / Re: Text size while posting reply on: June 10, 2023, 06:47:39 PM
Isn't this normal for smartphone users? The zooming in and out just to read using mobile browsers although there is always browser settings for the font size to change dynamically.
1289  Bitcoin / Electrum / Re: How can i download electrum for Bitcoin storage? on: June 10, 2023, 06:35:56 PM
Unstoppable wallet is more recommended wallet for IOS users and also uses SPV, its not only for Bitcoin but for other cryptocurrencies as well. For more information you can check this discussion thread[1]. You can see/read different experience of other members too.

1290  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: How do you stop gambling (sports betting, casino e.t.c)? on: June 10, 2023, 05:40:00 PM
Gambling brings so much joy especially when you're on the winning side, when things are all in your favor it just seems like you should never stop. But when it gets bad, you look for a way to pour out your anger, either on someone or on something.
That's how usually me before until i manage to stop when I start winning huge (well, for me).
But sometimes i still feel the same when i'm in a losing streak then tying to bet all hoping that maybe those 3-5 loss is enough so maybe I will win in the 6th yet, it still not lmao, and it's annoying. So I stop after that and come back again more later.
1291  Economy / Exchanges / Re: SEC sues Binance and CZ on: June 10, 2023, 04:55:05 PM
Looks to me like its just the matter of time when Binance leaves US market completely, whether they want it or not.
It's easy to get out from the current market even though it will make a huge impact to the business' future revenue but the question is, will they be still liable and still be charged of those millions of fines, tax, charges if they get out on US market?
1292  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: One more message inscribed on Bitcoin associated with the 2009 block 1018 on: June 09, 2023, 11:58:07 PM
What do you think about this strange signatures on block 1018?
Not so strange since the address is known to be owned by someone else position, particularly by OneSignature. It only means he signed the message, or that address he owned was sold to someone else or he was paid to make a signed message and inscript "ord.io" to make a hype about it — the ordinals. Because people are so hype when an old address is known to be still active after all this years.
1293  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: how to get over it on: June 09, 2023, 11:20:07 PM
I’ve turned $1,000 into $100,000
I’ve turned $6,000 into $80,000
I’ve turned $11,000 into $550,000
and recently I’ve turned $4,000 into $90,000

With nothing to show for it…I’m a sharp sports bettor, but I always end up going all in. I can never be satisfied until it’s too late. I always need to go all in.

I’ve been reading comments from my last post (turning $4,000 into $90,000 and losing the entire $90,000), and I can’t help but feel like shit.

How do I get over the countless failures? I’ve been chasing the $1,000,000 dream for years.
Learn how to stop when you made a huge win. Go outside, play another games, buy new things, etc. That always a help to me when it comes a straight winning, i mean a week or two weeks of winning straight, not that much but a huge win for me. If you knew how to manage your time, not become too hype when you win, not being greedy, and learn how to stop, that win will be more visible especially for a huge bettor like you.
Basta talaga usapang pera dito satin, daming silaw at mangmang.
1295  Local / Pilipinas / Re: Stay Lowkey lang tayo on: June 09, 2023, 10:42:49 PM
Kung hindi naman tayo mga influencers, artista, high profile na mga pag ka tao i suggest na being low key sa crypto is the best thing. Wala na nga tayung enough security eh mag ti-take risk pa tayong i share mga activity natin regarding crypto.
1296  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What happens if pools try to maximize fees by congesting the network? on: June 08, 2023, 11:57:22 PM
That' s a huge resources needed to that, i mean money, yes <10 sat/vb is too low but the sum of it sending in every block sounds a suicide to me. Besides the remaining pools will also gain to that move. Business wise, that is a waste of money without having assurance that their pool will get the mining reward.
1297  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Atomic Wallet hacked! Get your funds out now! on: June 08, 2023, 11:42:19 PM
Damn, that's why open source is the best option. I don't think Atomic Wallet will recover from that, who would put their coins there after that accident?
After this incident? I don't think people will trust again atomic wallet after claiming their wallet is a "non-custodial" yet there are servers behind saving everyone's private key or seed. They should close or end their wallet's service. But before that they should be responsible their users lost funds.
1298  Local / Pilipinas / Re: 400 Merchants Na Ang Tumatanggap ng Bitcoin Through Pouch on: June 08, 2023, 11:30:38 PM
Sana nga umabot ito sa mainstream media for more awareness sa ibang merchants. Alam ko madami na din mga merchant sa coins pero parang di na papansin kase more on fiat payment or may option for fiat payment ang coins. Pero so far, good news ito for bitcoin adoption sa pinas.
1299  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Apple Vision Pro and its Implication in Online Gambling on: June 08, 2023, 10:24:00 PM
Gambling with this device would make it feel like you are in a casino. I am pretty sure the experience would be out of this world - the visuals, the sounds, the overall feel. On the other hand, it seems that it could be easy for a gambler to lose track of time while using the device because the immersive experience might make it difficult to see or be aware of the time, leading to a potential increase in gambling addiction.
Still depends on the casino who wants to implement on such device. Because implementing this means another source of budget for the graphics that may look a real casino, and buying this one knowing this is a apple product, too expensive, which i don't think casino will consider easily. Well, if they do, that's great, having great experience is better but winning is the best, lossing is worst lol.
1300  Other / Meta / Re: Where do reports go? on: June 08, 2023, 09:56:10 PM
Have been curious on where the comment made when reporting a post to a moderator goes and how is the accuracy of the comment is been calculated?
How accuracy has been calculated? By just labeling your reports as good, bad, and unhandled but it all depends on the mod who handle your report. The Sum your good reports divide it by the number of your total reports then multiply by 100 and you will get your percentage of all reports as your accuracy.
