321  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: [XMR] Monero Speculation on: August 28, 2016, 08:08:12 PM
Sold all my XMR @ .0121 avg, 572btc worth. Will buy it all back at .005 Smiley

Good luck, not gonna happen. Doubt we will see 0121 again even

We'll see. When people say things like it'll never go below X that's exactly when it tends to happen.

Going down to .005 seems too drastic at this point but I wouldn't rule out a retracement to 0.008-0.009

I am 99% sure you never get it back at .005 ever. I am going to call it early and say you made one of the worst decisions of your life selling quite early. Nor do I ever see Monero (XMR) going back to previous levels. I see a general gradual upward trend that is only continuing.

That depends, in bullish times people tend to forget the fundamental; where does the money come from?
In order for a coin to just maintain a certain level, then will fresh fiat constantly have to be put into the ecosystem.
I do recognize the dark adaptation and the future gui app.
However I think is very difficult to make any predictions right now, since all the sharks have landed to get their share of the pie.
If you look at the trading right now, the majority of orders are just bots doings their thing.
Don't get me wrong I believe in XMR, not trash talking here - but 2-3 days of graphs is a very thin basis for predicting anything.

Cheers Smiley

322  Economy / Collectibles / Re: [PRE-ANN]Crypto Imperator Pure Gold Bitcoin Coin on: August 28, 2016, 05:49:09 PM
I would actually be less interested if the number was increased. The number 21 isn't anything special either, it's rather trivial. Luckily, this isn't going to happen. I think sticking to the original plan is much better.

I expect this auction to be quite fun to watch Smiley  Grin
It's probably going to be one of the best auctions in quite some time!

CI always makes some epic auctions  Grin
I have stayed up many nights to participate in the action.
323  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: [XMR] Monero Speculation on: August 28, 2016, 02:53:43 PM
It is really amazing to see XMR explode.
As always you think "I should have bought more", lol Cheesy

However, I do believe we will see a dumb at some point.
Don't get me wrong, I am a strong believer of XMR on the long term,
but eventually will some bagholder cash out, once the XMR-USD get too
high it simply get hard to resist.

Good luck to all of us, cheers.

Been watching these as well, looking at the OP it states either .62btc or 220xmr, that needs to be revised right smoothie?

Yes. Just PM me if you want an accurate price. Market is moving too much.

You don't say? +76% since you posted this message 1 day ago Cheesy
325  Local / Skandinavisk / Re: looking for someone to send me snus from sweden to germany on: August 28, 2016, 10:50:39 AM
I go to Sweden on a regular basis, I could properly help you out.
But it would properly be more convenient if you find a Swedish based user that can just go down to the local store (which normally also work as postoffice) and send out a few rolls for you.

P.S. Will you pay with Casascius coins?  Grin
326  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: how strong is bitcoin really? on: August 28, 2016, 10:44:09 AM
We know that bitcoin is strong and all the wallets have milletry grade security but one of my stupid friend today said that maybe someone can hack it with just a calculater because with math and correct formulas we can even predict gambling bets if that is possible then maybe there is any chance of this

Your friends calculator needs a quantum core if he wants to predict private keys.

Obviously your friend does not have an academic background, the math which bitcoin is based on is not just something Satoshi came up with.
This type of math have been studied for decades and thousand of academic articles have been published.
Really no need for me to go into technical details, your friend will obviously not have to background to understand it anyway.

The picture of the sun posted above is the best way to illustrate how secure bitcoin is for people with none academic background.

327  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: If one day BTC cannot be traded for cash, what will you do? on: August 28, 2016, 10:36:04 AM
Do you mean "If one day BTC cannot be traded for cash, what will you do?" - Because it is illegal, there is no one to buy, or other reasons like algorithm is broken?

Obviously if BTC for some reason becomes illegal in the country reside, then will you have to respect the national legislation, that is a no brainier.
No one to buy: that is very unlikely, as long as the network is running then will there be BTC trading, if it gets so unappreciated that BTC will not trade on
any exchange then will there with out doubt be some 2nd market trading.
If the algorithm is broken, then are will there without doubt be a fork very fast.

Last aspect is the large amount of physical BTC out there, there is a significant amount of BTC tied up to physicals.
These are in principal un affected by the status of the network. This can always (and will always) be traded for cash.
Since they are historical objects.
328  Economy / Collectibles / Re: ❎ [SALES OPEN] LEALANA PHYSICAL SILVER MONERO (XMR) - 3-coin sets~ ⭕️ on: August 26, 2016, 12:12:10 PM
I got into XMR just after smothie released this series (+ a good friend insisted that I should get some XMR and learn the fundamentals).
When I first heard about XMR was my reaction; just another alt.
But when smoothie made so much effort into creating this series, then did I consider if there was more to it than "just another alt".

I must say, the timing of releasing these coins have been perfect, these coins are worth a small fortune now in face value alone.
The early buyers (specially those that paid in BTC) really got rewarded.

Not sure if smoothie has a crypto-crystal-ball - in any case well done sir Smiley

Could you please add me to the list?

Would you ever consider raffling one of these off?  Grin

The attempts so far to make a high value collectible raffle has not been successful.
When the stakes get too high, the tickets simply don't sell.

We will be working again at the end of this month!

Glad to see our coins grade so well Smiley

Is there any CryptoImperator MS70 out there?
I have not seen any yet.

As you may have noticed, there is a quite big problem, only 10 coins are going to be made and 21 people want to buy them. So we think that the best solution is to auction them all, limiting to 1 per customer. (If you are in the list we will PM you once auctions are live)

Yes, please PM if these goes on auction, don't want to miss this one Cheesy
333  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Question about anonymous debit visa cards on: August 23, 2016, 11:28:58 AM
I'm also worried about using bitcoin debit card where a random nickname is printed on the card, which in fact is not my name so if the card sucks at ATM and I should call someone(the security) to help me get back my card they would ask me for the ID which name should be the same on the card too, I would get in trouble and maybe arrested.

2) When my name is printed on my bitcoin debit card then it is easier because you are the owner of the card, and you an continue using it until you reach the limit.

So, there is a name on the cards - but it is just not yours? That sounds a bit shady to me.
I had the impression that the card was just "blank" (no name written).

I ordered one on cryptopay a while before and i was asked for a name which i choose a random one, so i have a limit of 2000€ lifetime to withdraw, but if i want to lift this limit I should send verifications documents to them.

How long does it (practically take) from you bitcoin tx is confirmed on the blockchain to you can spend the cash on the cryptopay card?

335  Economy / Exchanges / Question about anonymous debit visa cards on: August 23, 2016, 10:02:44 AM
Hi bitcointalk community,

I have for the last few years seen an increasing sale of anonymous VISA cards.
To be honest I have more or less assumed that these are used for shady business only.
But I can see a good use for these if you are using bitcoin already.
However, it must be perfectly legal, else is it irrelevant for me.

My first and most import question:
Is anonymous VISA cards in any way illegal to obtain and use under EU legislation?

If no, then:
What solutions exist? I have the impression that you can get them with both SEPA and Bitcoin transfer.
If using bitcoins, how long will it typical take for the funds to be credited?

I am also interested in knowing if "semi" anonymous solutions exist at a well know and trusted company, were you register with your name and true identity, but physically gets a card name written on the card.
I am fairly sure that no banks in Scandinavia offers this service.

Cheers Smiley

He combines the keys, he already has the public address which is either funded or not (his choice), I do up some final work on the item to have the public key and voila, I shop it out and they have a completely secure address.

This sounds like a little more effort on my part and the client's part but I think if anyone is going to 'trust' me, that's going to be the best way (mainly because then you don't have to trust me).
--snip

Of course if they don't want it funded and never really care about funding it then this is irrelevant, they pay their base price to an escrow or myself and it's shipped out.

First of all I have a lot of respect for that you come out and not just assuming that everyone should trust you, "just" because you are making a coin.
I am sometimes surprised about how people are willing to trust new coin producer with their bitcoins, I am not talking about payment but the security of the private key.
When you confront a coin maker about the security, they always say something along the line: all private keys are destroyed, but there are never any kind of clear manifest about the procedure.

I personally think it is reckless to trust a random person with a private key containing anything more than a few bitcents - especially taking the coingraphic indecent into consideration.

The thing that makes a physical crypto coin unique is that it has a private key and it was funded at some point, which is documented in the blockchain.
From this point of view does it not make any difference if it is funded with 1 BTC or 0.01 BTC, however funding the coin with 0.01 BTC reduce the risk significantly for both buyer and producer.

The idea about 2FA or the buyers creates part of the private key takes the risk away from the producer, but it kills the 2nd market for the coin, instead of solely trusting the producer, then will you have to trust the 1st buyer as well, if the passphrase or partly private key is flawed then can the funds never be redeemed by any subsequent buyer.

TL;DR: I like small denominations best (0.01 - 0.05), private key created by producer with a clear manifest of how private keys are handled and destroyed, for the reasons stated above.
337  Other / Meta / Re: bitcointalk trust system very stupid on: August 09, 2016, 08:45:23 AM
I have been here for years on end. I still don't have the slightest clue about what the ins and outs of the trust system consist of.

There appear to be so many hidden agendas, power plays, alt account madnesses and wheels within wheels that if I ever do carry out a deal on here I think I'll do it in a McDonald's with a gun hidden in my patty instead.

I think it is the fair to assume that the biggest trading volume in bitcointalk is within good and collectible on the market place.
In the collectible sections; you have to look very hard find a DT member abusing alt accounts and doing shady business.
Most trades in collectible are done entirely without escrow - we don't talk about selling shitty accounts or stolen gift certificate worth 0.01 BTC... physical coin trades are often 2-10 BTC, sometimes +30 BTC or higher; paid up front, without escrow, completely based on trust network and reputation.
So the trust system is not "stupid"... at least in the collectible section.
338  Other / Meta / Re: bitcointalk trust system very stupid on: August 08, 2016, 08:27:25 PM
....

One more VERY important problem is use of multiple alt-accounts that are on DT. For a single person to have more than one account on DT should never be allowed.
....

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=822764.0

It's surely has high chance for happening, right ?
People always being greed. (Not for now, maybe later or happening on the future)

This "scheme" will not last for long, in the example in your link, then will it not take long before "Otong" is no longer on DT.
It does not take many misstep before you are not on DT, actually even a single misstep is rarely forgiven.

doogie used to publish graphical representation of the DT network, they are real interesting:
https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1062052.0

It becomes very clear from the pictures if someone DT member are "isolated" in his/her own personal cluster.
339  Other / Meta / Re: My Account Zeaderza Hacked - Please Help. on: August 05, 2016, 11:20:25 AM
Only admins can restore access to accounts.

and how long he'll take to recover my account? I am waiting from yesterday but not response yet.
and I am seeing he's online often here.

You should arm your self with a lot of patience, admins have most likely more important things to do than recovering your account.
Keeping a good and professional tone is your friend.
340  Local / Skandinavisk / Re: Mining fra laptop on: August 04, 2016, 08:28:02 PM

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=28402.0

Du kan få inspiration her:

Det gælder om at holde cost nede, her PC case sparet væk:
