I'm still seeing ROI in 2 1/2 months with 128 chips in group buy 1 & 2, calculated a 20million difficulty increase per month rather than percentage since it will inaccurately fluctuate:
http://mining.thegenesisblock.com/a/b8349117c8

Initial investment Approximately:$2552
Profit over ROI is approximately: $3,800
In estimates you guys need to stay away from percentages and instead calculate a little above average Millions per month changes in difficulty.

sadly i think in three months time, monthly difficulty increase will be 40MM+.. it cant stay on 20, it was 15 the last 11 day update!
this month from 37 to 65!
20MM per month is sadly not a viable guess, 30-40 could be better.

326  Economy / Auctions / Re: Avalon Batch 2, Batch 3 + Butterfly Labs 25GH/s Miner on: August 23, 2013, 10:01:20 PM
I'd ask for hashproof before bidding on someone hesitant of escrow.
just redirect mining to your eligius address for 3 minutes..
327  Economy / Computer hardware / Re: [WTS] 79-82 GHash Avalon batch 2 on: August 23, 2013, 07:35:19 PM
35BTC

take that..
328  Economy / Auctions / Re: [AUCTION] Avalon Batch 3: 1 Module starting bid: 1 BTC! on: August 23, 2013, 02:44:07 PM
It seems 30contin just wanted to waste people's time. I caution anyone else who might be involved with them in an auction (they've been bidding on quite a few things). They confirmed the seriousness of their bid via PM and the desire to use JohnK for escrow... then delayed a couple days and reneged.

You would easily understand that by looking at his post history. I think he made bids of 200+ over a course of days..
I would've gotten this a long time ago from you.
Not sure if I am that interested in waiting around much longer..
329  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Avalon ASIC users thread on: August 23, 2013, 10:08:51 AM
Sure can.

Hi, if you have time, would 350-400 or even 350-450 be an ok autosetting in a 20dgr airconditioned room? for an avalon batch 2 3 module unit.
Unless you have done hardware modifications, you will not find any stock avalon under any conditions that will run much better than 360. The firmware posted so far already allows for speeds up to 450.

Thanks for your time. Ok, no stock mods done, it even has stock psu. So i will put it to auto 300-360? or 340-360?
its in a very cold room, but maybe its not enough.

332  Economy / Auctions / Re: [Auction] 3 module B2 Avalon >80GH/s on: August 22, 2013, 07:39:11 PM
well received. Customs opened it though and stuck a cable in one of the fans. morons.
fixed now and  running.
333  Economy / Auctions / Re: Avalon Batch 2, Batch 3 + Butterfly Labs 25GH/s Miner on: August 22, 2013, 07:36:05 PM
Won't accept 100% escrow, offer withdrawn. 17 day old account, no escrow, be careful people.

an easy 2 minute redirect to a controlled eligius.st mine account would prove him right but..
334  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Avalon ASIC users thread on: August 22, 2013, 07:26:41 PM
Few questions. (if there is an faq, please direct me)
1, Mutliple coin mining, i remember seeing a pool, which mines namecoins and litecoins along with bitcoins on the avalon.
Would it be any idea to do so? i mean, namecoins and litecoins are currently cheap, so getting a few a day might be a good idea or does it steal too much from valuable bitcoins?
2, is it safe to run a b2 3 module on 355 in a fully hosted datacenter with 20 degrees airconditioned space?
3, is there a simple way, to share payments among many addresses automatically? (a pool that splits payments automatically)
4, why should i choose btcguild or any of the famous pools above eligius? Btcguild is 3%, and eligius is free, but takes a while to pay out, however, 3% is not peanuts!

Appreciate any answers you could provide.

Mining Namecoin/Bitcoin and Litecoin at the same time is Impossible!

Namecoin and Bitcoin are sha-256 based chains and can be merged minined, Litecoin on the other hand is scrypt based and can never be mined at the same time as Bitcoin nor can it be mined by FPGA`s or ASIC`s like an Avalon.

OKay, what does this  site talk about then? its quite famous to use the slushpool from what i read?
http://mining.bitcoin.cz/
it says it does namecoin+bitcoin for extra revenue..
335  Economy / Computer hardware / Re: [WTS] 79-82 GHash Avalon batch 2 on: August 22, 2013, 07:07:09 PM
at 55btc, starting sept...it will be a sinkhole, will never make ROI
http://mining.thegenesisblock.com/a/01393734ff

at 55btc, in aug...will make maybe 1-2BTC profit in a year....
http://mining.thegenesisblock.com/a/4ad489dc39

its nowhere near worth 55btc...

Ill offer 25btc ...which it will still make barely any BTC profit.

Another miniature buddah..
seriously Mar-14 1765MM? 35 TIMES increase..
