321  Other / Off-topic / Re: TOR Network Risk on: July 23, 2014, 02:02:31 PM
Why use TOR, when the right VPN is enough?

What right VPN is that? normally VPM are easier to trace.
322  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Ways To Earn Bitcoin on: July 23, 2014, 02:01:22 PM
For me, I earn bitcoins by selling some stuff online, like eBooks and so.

Where do you sell these ebooks? I would of thought this would be rather difficulty to prove they are legit.
323  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: whats going on with dogecoin value? on: July 23, 2014, 01:59:33 PM
will it worth 1 satoshi in the end?

no

it will be worth 0

Well everything will be worth 0 in the end Wink I doubt doge's going away, you gotta expect some lacklustre episodes here and there it's only rational.

It was simply a pump and dump coin which is coming to the end so much hype and now its slowly disappearing.
324  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: 51% Attack - Why isn't anything being done about it? on: July 23, 2014, 01:42:16 PM
Ghash is the closest and they have said that they will be reducing the amount of miners if they get closer which they have been doing which I think is good as they own most of the hashing power right now but even if they didn't do that and had 51% it doesn't mean they could do the actual attack there is still some luck that they would need to perform the attack I honestly believe this attack has no threat to Bitcoin at the moment.
325  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: well, ether sale has started. on: July 23, 2014, 01:40:28 PM
Sounds like a lot of fancy wishy-washy marketing spiel to win over investors, than actual end-users.

Then it's exactly how it sounds the devs don't care about the coin they are using this to get Bitcoin and the amount of coin can change at any time? WHAT.

It does seem rather arbitrary, yes.

Based on the amount of Ether sold so far, 8,326,240, and 2000 Ether = 1 BTC, they've currently amassed $2,614,000 in BTC.

So a totally unproven company, essentially a startup, is currently valued at $2,614,000, and it's going to go much much higher.

For a company with no product. Just promises.

Does that sound like a worthy risk/reward ratio? That's up to you.

I can just imagine they will be walking out when they have reached their goal (I hope they prove us all wrong) but because of the amount of devs and people involved with the altcoin I think they will be aiming to go past 10+ in usd. I think theres over 20 people involved with this alt coin.
326  Other / Politics & Society / Re: World War III... Is it about to Happen? on: July 23, 2014, 01:37:54 PM
We are already at war. The war is not fought with armies and tanks, but trade and economics, energy and resources, electronics and intelligence, politics and allies. Just look at Russia and China, they are aggressively expanding their boarders.

That's true and most tank wars etc are started by economics of different countries and that will always be the case.
327  Economy / Digital goods / Re: [WTB] bitcoins offer 1 amazon gift card on: July 23, 2014, 01:35:41 PM
Carded ? LMAO i bought USD but i needed EUR

I recently asked a related question and it seems there is no way to proof that you are legit and have made a honest mistake you probably won't be able to sell this.
328  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: well, ether sale has started. on: July 23, 2014, 01:34:14 PM
I just hopes this crowd sale ends well otherwise it can have serious impact on all crypto environment.

In regards to the IPO there is no max cap and no final amount of ether that will be created. (like with fiat). So far it seems that greed will drag this IPO to highly overpriced category. I wouldn't be surprised if ether will be available on exchanges for half the IPO price once released.

It's just like fiat in a way and yes the price will just keep going down because there is no supply and demand because they can just create more coins where is the sense in that? the devs have really made a huge profit on this already.
329  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: Play BTC Rush, Win a bitcoin (Looking for testers) on: July 23, 2014, 01:32:21 PM
Seems like a interesting game but I guess the odds are massively in the favor of the house where are the beta testers thread?

332  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Ethereum questions. Can Bitcoin do these things too, with implemenation? on: July 23, 2014, 01:22:39 PM
They already raise well over 850k (or 1900 BTC) worth of coin based on the price.

It is a hype and pump and dump like any other coin out there.

Seems silly to have all these presentations, meetings, plannings, whitepapers, code, etc for being a simple pump and dump doesn't it? But then again, when you're talking about millions of dollars people are willing to do a lot...

It's worked for the devs and they are rubbing their hands together we'll be having a few sob stories in the near future about people investing a lot in this coin and losing it all prepare yourself!
333  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: How I made 0.3 for free in just a couple weeks. on: July 23, 2014, 01:20:17 PM
Why lock it ? It has good information... a little outdated but good.
Seems stupid to lock it. If anything it should be made into a sticky.

BTW - Muhammed Zakir... It is pretty obvious what you are doing. A few people have noticed............

I think there's other threads which have this information but are more up to date coinchat is no longer available and has been shut down for a long time. But we shouldn't lock the thread it still has some good suggestions and also a story of success for the OP.
334  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Ways To Earn Bitcoin on: July 23, 2014, 01:17:59 PM
Nice little article but I would of left out faucets as they are a waste of time and will only allow you to collect dust which you can't purchase anything from.
335  Economy / Lending / Re: [NEW!] Loans with and without collateral - 100 BTC available! on: July 23, 2014, 01:16:02 PM
Take your  $60k USD else where. Your $60k is no good here sorry.

Why don't you sign your wallet address and prove to us you have 100BTC ?

Don't bother doing anything else until you do this.
It should be the standard thing to do in OP you have less than 3 posts... Fark it should be the standard even if you have 400 posts.

I agree if OP can sign a wallet and/or provide other evidence he actually owns 100 Bitcoin then we can trust you a little better.
336  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Best Alt coin to invest in 2014 on: July 23, 2014, 01:12:57 PM
Litecoin and Darkcoin, buy them when its still cheap..
Litecoin is always good.
But I would say Monero instead of Darkcoin.
Monero distrubution is perfect and it's based on a completely new technology called Cryptonote. Check out what all the developers have to say about Monero and you will find it is quite unique and good cryptography for providing anonymous transactions.

Have you got a link to monero I could have a look at I've heard about the articles but can't find the thread?
337  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Crypti vs Ethereum on: July 23, 2014, 01:08:11 PM
Why are people sending BTC to an IPO with NO investment cap? Are Ethereum devs that much greedy that they invite as much as you can send? As much as you CAN SEND??

People should buy Crypti at launch instead. Anything under 5000 satoshi per Crypti will be a better deal than greed ridden ethers

I don't understand it either why people are investing in etherum as the devs have clearly stated that they are looking for as much money as possible and don't really care about the coin itself. I have never heard of crypti though and I'll take a look at it.
338  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: well, ether sale has started. on: July 23, 2014, 01:06:55 PM
The aborted IPO earlier sent all sorts of alarm signals earlier. This is a group which just wants to be paid now, and its upto the buyers to see if their investment is worth anything.
Just wait after it is over and if  you still want it you will get from big sell-offs at cheaper prices.

A LOT of people are going to get burned by this scam and they have tried to disguise it has best as they could it's now being discussed throughout this forum about the potential signals of scams.
339  Economy / Gambling / Re: Invest Your Bitcoin - Earn 200% ROI - Guaranteed Bitcoin Profit on: July 23, 2014, 12:22:04 PM
This is got to be a scam attempt no way someone can turn your bitcoin into double what it was worth.
340  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Trading digital gift cards for bitcoin on: July 23, 2014, 12:20:09 PM
You can't really know unless they offer some satisfactory proof but even legit sellers might not want or be able to provide you some. You could ask for a receipt or something but they're not always necessarily 'bought'. If people are selling you a gift code for 50% of its value they almost certainly got it some other way. Now, that's not to say it was obtained illegitimately as you can earn them in certain circumstances, but without any proof of where it came from you'll have to decide whether the heavy discount is worth taking the risk.

That's a real shame I wanted to see if I could trust a few people ad buy some gift cards for a little cheaper with Bitcoin but I don't I will because of this problem.
