No love for Danny Welbeck?

Danny Welbeck is an average player. He can't be compared to all time greats such as Lionel Messi and Christiano Ronaldo. Moreover, it is almost certain that England will not go past the group stage.  Grin

LOL that was harsh, but true. Apply cold water for that burn!

Final Fantasy VIII
Driver 1 & 2
GTA 2
Age of Empires 1 and 2, the third, not so much.
TES Skyrim
TES Oblivion

Age of Empires 2 is the best but i don't like the third game too.

+1, Age of Empires 1/2 is classic, but I don't like the third one. I actually played it for about a week, but they TOTALLY changed the game by making it appeal to teenagers and adding all the stupid micro transactions.

PC master race represent. As usual, nobody mentions Chivalry: Medieval Warfare. I really don't get why it has so little players - it's the most innovative and fun FPS to come out in quite a while. Super high skill cap, incredibly fun and high re-playability.

As for RPGs I hope you guys played Dark Souls 2. My favorite RPG experience in quite a while.

I tried out Chivalry on Steam when they had the free weekend recently. I thought it was pretty good from playing the training exercise. I didn't get to play the multiplayer though. I would have been destroyed anyway lol.

Yep, you will definitely get wrecked as a new player. Hell, I have 180 hours played and still get destroyed by higher-rank players. But the game is just ridiculously fun and its high skill ceiling allows you to continue learning and never get bored. The really good players can pull off some really crazy stuff, like ducking under your attacks and hitting you with an overhead at the same time, or even jumping over an attack.

beetcoin has been flagged as a sarcasm-user by the forum's automated screening system

User Beetcoin has received a warning, and his post has been uploaded for safekeeping into the NSA database. Further sarcasm will result in a complete ban on internet communication.

But seriously, this story is hilarious. There is no limit to how far governments will go to maintain power and control even in the age of limitless internet communications.
325  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: 50 cent accepts Bitcoin as payment for his new album on: June 08, 2014, 07:17:22 AM
Wow, that pretty awesome, but i think i would find cooler things to buy with bitcoin. Not a fan of 50 cent

Whether or not you like him and plan to actually buy the album doesn't matter. What matters is that he is promoting Bitcoin to his huge fan base and encouraging other artists / entrepreneurs to accept bitcoin as payment. 50 Cent reaches out to millions of people so when he does something, people notice.
326  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why should Banks / PayPal / etc use Bitcoin instead of their own? on: June 08, 2014, 07:12:48 AM
As people have already pointed out, nobody would be interested in buying into a bank/government controlled cryptocurrency. One of the major points of bitcoin is to get banks/government OUT so they can't abuse their position of power. If they want to go crypto, they're gonna have to play by the same rules as every bitcoin holder in our community already does.
327  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Do you really like RT news! the great bitcoin promoter! on: June 07, 2014, 11:09:45 PM
i find it so weird that russia has been pretty anti bitcoin with its laws and regulations,  yet a news outlet owned by russia promotes bitcion.  Go figure Smiley

Think about it just for a moment.

Russia has a news organization that they do not show to their citizens, only to people in foreign countries.

This news organization promotes something that could destabilize a foreign government currency if the people adopt it.

Watch RT with the knowledge that this is what Russia wants foreigners to believe. But not their own citizens.

This is a great summary of the RT channel. There are more than enough national channels in Russia to push the pro-Putin line within the country. RT exposes the hypocrisy of the US for Western viewers. Having said that, as a Canadian I enjoy having a different, and often correct view on what the US and other Western nations are doing. But I keep in mind that it is also incredibly biased whenever it mentions anything that Russia or its allies do.

i'm sort of digging on this new show "fargo". i'm not sure if it is a regular show or a mini series, though? wasn't clear to me. hopefully it stays for a while, i like it. i'm a big "the walking dead" fan as well.

It's a mini series. Only 10 episodes. I'm really surprised how well they built it up from the movie story; the basic plot is similar but they added a lot of great material, so the show really stands out on its own. The characters are just great and you never know what's going to happen.

I downloaded Dark Souls 2 today, i'm going to play it soon.

See you in a couple of days.  Grin Grin It's the most addictive and amazing game I've played in a decade. Couldn't stop until I beat it.

All religions are crazy. The universe doesn't care about our existence.

This video has been around for ages and yes it is pretty much on the money. Only reason they're not in Iran yet is because they haven't been able to blow the nuclear weapons bulllshit out of proportion, and Iran has actually been very reasonable. They know they can't do the same thing as in Iraq.
333  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Seriously? Printing HUMANS? on: June 07, 2014, 07:44:29 PM
Lol this is some really out-there science. This is thinking waaay into the future - by that point we'll probably be able to travel to planets ourselves just as well. Let's start out with terraforming planets. That by itself will take hundreds of years to do.

336  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: If bitcoin ever goes mainstream on: June 06, 2014, 10:33:13 PM
Power never disappear it just shift from some hands to others. I don't like power, including political power, but I dislike even more private power.

Without government, armed bands would take not half of what you have, but probably much more.

Some think they could organize and resist. Those organized groups would probably be very oppressive to their members, especially new members. And their resistance would endure only until faced with a stronger band. Anarchism promises insecurity, economic and trade collapse, end of scientific development, etc. It's that the situation we see in failed states. Somalia is the perfect example.

We could keep the State, but give large powers to small communities, like in Switzerland. There people assemble and rule their matters directly together, including social support, health care, decide regulations on social life, etc. So, basically, our neighbors would have a lot of power over us. Spying and controlling other people's life is a way of living there. No, thank you, I prefer an abstract, distant, power.

This is kind of going off topic but...anarchy does work, but on the small scale. Like a small community of a few hundreds or thousand, because you don't have enough bad apples to fuck everyone else over. But yes when we try to live in societies of millions of people, anarchy isn't very effective. In the end, we will always choose to enter what is called the social contract and give up some of our rights so that society has some semblance of order and basic equality.
337  Economy / Economics / Re: Is 1 bitcoin a decent and good investment? on: June 06, 2014, 08:02:05 PM
1 bitcoin has been a good investment for years, and it still is. Of course, in order for it to rise so much that you will be able to afford something really expensive with only 1 bitcoin, you would have to wait for a very long time. But in terms of simple mathematics, it is a good investment because BTC is always on the uptrend in the long term.

I haven't smoked tobbaco since I was like 12. That shit will kill you! I'd love to smoke weed errday/420/blazeit but unfortunately I don't have any money right now. I only get to smoke weed when my friend invites me to his house. We then proceed to eat some Mcdonalds and watch a movie. Everything is wonderful when you're high.
340  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: If bitcoin ever goes mainstream on: June 06, 2014, 07:36:38 PM
If Bitcoin does continue to be integrated into the world economy...then I don't think this process is going to be as volatile or dangerous as you think. The conversion of people to cryptocurriencies like Bitcoin is going to take place at a steady pace. So it's not like one day you will wake up, and find that your dollars are worth 10 times less. It will be a gradual process where people will continuously siphon more and more fiat into Bitcoin or other cryptos, slowly leaving fiat behind, until it is no longer needed. It won't *ruin* fiat holders because they will have already converted to Bitcoin by that point. Yes, the distribution of wealth will have changed a lot, but it's not like the Koch brothers will wake up one day and find out they've become bums.
