The pricing of the blade system makes no sense to me. He's offering LA3M (which will get you at least 3.5 Mh/s with the new firmware, consistently) for $1,100 complete with all cables and PSU. Buy two of those and you've got 7 Mh/s for $2,200. OR...you can pay about $900 more for almost 2 Mh/s less, in a different form factor?

Math was never my strong suit, but this just doesn't look real appetizing to me. There's no way any of this makes ROI at this point, anyway. The only way I'd buy more LA3M is if they were around $600 now, shipped.

You are mixing old and new prices. The blade is $1450 now in the groupbuy.

I get the same "failed to unpack" problem with RC10d as I did with RC10c.

There has to be a sollution for this, other than mailing it to either of you guys and loosing out on days or weeks of mining.

Those of us experiencing this problem, were we supplied flawed controllers from AsiaBTC?

What exactly is it you guys fix if we were to send the controller to you? Can it really not be fixed in any other way?

This is starting to become a big problem with new versions looking better. This needs to be adressed.

If you are good at soldering, you can attempt it yourself: http://forums.openpilot.org/blog/52/entry-92-unbrick-wr703n-wifi-router/
Reflash your controller through the serial console to the v1 bin image, then using the web interface upload the rc10 bin image.
I'm offering to repair free of charge, all you need to do is send them to me and pay the shipping.

Where are you located?

Any chance of a swap system? You send a fixed controller first, I hook that one up, and send the broken one to you?

Group Buy.
i got great deal with Gridseed. GROUP BUY now:
3000+ usb miner, USD1350/LA3M, include all accessories, Including DHL worldwide express.
500+blade,  usd1999, include all accessories, including Worldwide express.
only 3 days available.

Very curious because the price given out to resellers for the blade units is significantly higher than what you're selling for.

I heard gridseed sells them for $1700, but only bulk orders.

Okay.. correct me if I am wrong.

USB miners= dual miner from gridseed?

3000 of them for 1350 dollar, 1350/3000=0,45 each usb miner? Or am I making a mistake? Should be 45 dollar each? btw what does the /LA3M means after the price?

You are not correct Wink LA3M means "Lightning Asic 3Mh/s". LA3M is a pack of 10 gridseed 5chip miners, including all accesoiries, with a total of around 3MH/s scrypt.
327  Bitcoin / Group buys / Re: great group buy.3000+ usb miner, USD1350/LA3M,500+blade,  usd1999, inc express. on: April 10, 2014, 11:56:57 AM

328  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: [ANN] Technobit 60 Ghs HEX16B(Bitfury v.2 based) 16 chip board design - 149 EUR on: April 09, 2014, 09:26:09 PM
On the website you state "If you don't have the budget for a large number of chips, overclocking is the best option, as it will get you 60 GH/sec out of a card ".

So, what is the default speed without overclocking?

Also, any idea if this is supported by the current version of minepeon by default?
The old hex16b (bitfury v1) worked on minepeon with a recompiled version of cgminer.
But the tp link router is better and cheaper IMO.

Ok, but I already have a raspi running minepeon, and a spare raspi doing nothing at the moment. So I would prefer to use that.

Any info on the hash speed? Is 60Gh/s the max overclocked potential, or the starting point?

AsiaBTC has been at a much higher price point than other sellers so that shouldn't surprise you. I'm curious what other resellers do, I wouldn't be surprised if no one is allowed to sell under a certain price for the first 1-2 months.

All other sellers are at $3K, so actually asiabtc is the cheapest at the moment with $2900. Also for the 5 chip miners I don't really agree with you. Many other seller are cheaper, but do not include accessories. The power supplies, USB cable, controller etc add up to something. I got a quote from him which came down to $175 per miner with just power and USB cables included in the last week of march. This actually isn't bad at all compared to other sellers.

They are so overpriced maybe you can get some money back on scraping the aluminum in all that heatsink.

16 Gridseed 5 chip units are cheaper.

These are viable at $1700 each

Thats the price gridseed sells them... i guess we can call them greedseeds now

Seriously? Good to know. They were taking some major profits on the 5 chip miners, but I expected them to take smaller margins on this one.

Anyway, I would be buying one at around $2K, I am not interested at the current price.

I think a multipool is a great idea! I still think we also need a PMC pool however. The first one will keep the price up, the second the network Smiley

LIGHTNINGASIC GRIDSEED SCRYPT ONLY BLADE MINER

There are 2 PCBA.
Each PCBA 40 GC3355 chips.
Each PCBA has it’s own power socket and usb port.
one 80-chip blade miner is equivalent to 16 5-chip USB miners
Official Scrypt hashrate is 5.2M (2.6M on each PCBA)
Scrypt only mode: 64-70W on each PCBA. (140W per miner)
PSU/Controller/USB cables are included.
Start to ship out from Apl 11th-12nd.
USD2899 for miners, usd100 for accessories set, USD100 for dhl express.

I really like the blade design, but I think it's to expensive. It is even more expensive than 16x 5 chip miner! It should at least be cheaper than that!

Wow, we went past it already!
336  Other / Archival / Re: delete on: April 05, 2014, 09:22:01 PM
Then you had made a better deal buying the coins instead of mining them, your logic is not solid when it comes to business...

Mining is in effect buying them with electricity instead of funds.

Even though every $1.96 BTC cost me more in electricity, let's say $3.00 each (guess)....I can assure you I made a profit at $1200.

I actually think obtaining them at $3.00 and selling at $1200 is very solid business logic.

~BCX~

But if you bought the coins instead of mining you'll have ~33% more coins...

But if everyone did so, the network would stop working, and the coins would be worth nothing...

did u use cgwatcher?

other coins works well with the gridseeds?

can u post config

No, I use the lightningasic controller, updated to firmware version 3. All other pools seem to work fine.
338  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: LightningAsic Gridseed Controller Firmware V3 on: April 05, 2014, 04:32:27 PM
I updated to the first version of v3 and haven't been able to apply any of the updates since.

I just tried upgrade v1 and upgrade v2 and the rc10c. All of them give me the "failed to unpack".

I just tried upgrading from v1 and v2 and it works perfectly fine, so not sure why it does that.

I am already on v3. But I want to upgrade to rc10c. I keep getting failed to unpack with all three bins provided in main post.

Yep, exactly the same here.
339  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][NLG] Guldencoin — It's back. Fair distribution. on: April 05, 2014, 04:27:36 PM
Does anyone know why I can't seem to mine these with my gridseeds? I am only getting invalid shares. I have tried three different pools already :S
340  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: LightningAsic Gridseed Controller Firmware V3 on: April 05, 2014, 01:54:22 PM
Now I'm getting "Failed to unpack firmware" when I do the RC10c, and "MD5 differs" when I do the V2?

Try re-downloading the V2 bin.

"Failed to unpack firmware" with the V2 now.
