I'm seeing Nasdaq futures down 1.8% right now. Interesting week coming up.

More pain is coming I fear. A possible black Monday event tomorrow in the shitstock market as the realities of inflation are only just becoming clear and inflation is going nowhere.

Regarding fuel prices.

We now pay around £100 in the UK for the average full tank of petrol. £46 of which goes to our beloved excellent government with esteemed knowledgable leaders who take the most upmost thought when it comes to long term planning.

Note that a year ago that same full tank cost £40! So less than the government profiteers from it today!

I had to take a step back a few days ago when I realised that the conservatives (who I did vote for btw several times - I probably will never vote again, ever, not even for who is the temporary weekly hero citizen at the old folks' home when I get there) have been in power for 12 years and I am now being taxed far more through almost everything whilst our national debt has continued to balloon and house prices are beyond reach for the average Joe almost.

We may be in an end game here with all of this continued tax - inflation - cheap money - cheap debt carry on and huge changes in the financial AND political landscape may be on the horizon.
Covid was perhaps the domino that accelerated towards the inevitable day of reckoning.

Hopefully many will realise Bitcoin is a long term solution and not just a get rich quick opportunity.

I don't want my government to give me any fucking cash / rebates / help. I want it to scrap most of the payments to the middle class entirely and just fucking take less in the first place! And take a 50% haircut themselves. We don't need half of those bozos.

There's that old saying that goes "don't fight the fed".

Really? Didn't hey proved to be incompetent with their "temporary inflation" shtick?

That's what everyone is saying yes but did he mean secular inflation or the spike (I suspect spike and he didn't even consider secular). Before Ukraine and China Omicron Covid response a temporary inflation spike was on the cards for sure, and might still be, but secular inflation is definitely higher from here on out.

Honestly, I don't think the Fed gives a shit about anything, they just follow the white house's orders.

Yeah not looking good for sure. There's that old saying that goes "don't fight the fed". We're looking at that this week I reckon, question is when does the strain on credit get too much. Europe can't even stop their brrr for the PIIGS so when do the other credit markets follow?

Edit:We're heading for last months low very soon I think.

Of course, I hear you... however, I just feel like the fact that the BTC longs, on finex, are so far above ATH , at these price levels, to be too far out of kilter, and many of them are long, as seen on spikes on chart from 42K...... risky biscuits.  If we would have seen the massive spikes in LONGS from the past week or two, I would assume they were in better shape.

Never know, could all be fine... I just always expect the market to go for max pain...... and for some market participants, to want to impose max pain.

Well, things do have that downity look at the moment. Which means more stacking.
326  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: June 12, 2022, 12:27:57 PM

At some point those longs will be right.

Bitcoin dominance going up quickly now, 47.5% on coinmarketcap.

Shitcoins being shitcoins again.
328  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin will Hit over 700% or $250k is this possible? on: June 12, 2022, 05:22:04 AM
But the question would be, is he that influential to reverse the current bear market trend?
It's possible but no one know the truth since only centralized exchanges can see his balance. Even he announced he have bought x Bitcoin, but it's still just a words and we can't know if he really have full control of that's address until he can sign a message, obviously he will not do it since it's just wasting time and he didn't get anything after that.

Now the price continue to decrease and hit $27K currently, his words doesn't change anything to the market condition.

250k is a certainty, not a possibility. It's just the length of time that is up for debate.
329  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: June 12, 2022, 05:03:58 AM
Well prices are down, not surprising when following a Friday with such a large traditional market dump. But seriously, if you have an income just keep buying, you'll now get more BTC for your buck. Just keep it simple and DCA.

Prices will go up again, it is mathematically certain. Look at the ECB announcement last week, they said they were going to start raising rates, end QE, etc. but, very quickly after that, when the PIIGS credit spreads were blowing out, a second announcement needed to me made to clarify that the PIIGS will be taken care of. How will they be taken care of? QE of course, more bond buying.

So in other words QE can't be stopped, and soon enough every other nations will get to that point too. It's only a matter of time. the PIIGS and Japan are already there and they will not be alone for long.

Buy BTC, this could be your last chance to get it at a decent price.
330  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: June 10, 2022, 01:57:36 PM
OT: Honestly even though the latest CPI print number came in hot, international freight charts are telling a slightly different story:

https://fbx.freightos.com/

Looks like we are right on the cusp of a huge downswing (crash?) in freight rates, especially East to West. If it doesn't naturally, one more Fed rate hike will definitely send freight rates plunging globally.

Absolutely. A massive recession is already baked in and the Fed is hiking into it and they know it. The ascending USD is a giant wrecking ball destroying the rest of the world as we speak, particularly EMs. Freight is not the only thing falling right now, hell governments are already collapsing.
331  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: June 10, 2022, 01:37:34 PM
Seems Bitcoin didn't like those CPI numbers. Or is it that the trad markets didn't like it and there are still a few hold outs left from this latest Bitcoin bull run that think Bitcoin is just another asset.

I have noticed over the last few weeks though that there is definitely some decoupling going on. This makes me think that 90% of the weak minded, weak handed fools have already vanished. If we do get further dumping from this point the last 10% will be gone I'm sure. Which will then lead to complete decoupling and the start of our next bull run.

8.6% and it's only going to keep rising. But you're right, seems the drops to this type of news are getting smaller with BTC each time; the weak hands are being flushed out

Yeah that's just how I'm seeing it in the price action. Comparing the Nasdaq to BTC for instance. Nasdaq well below its June 7th price, BTC above its June 7th price. That's a clear indication to me.

Shitcoins down twice as much.

Yet another school shooting in USA. WTF America. Get your shit together.

If you changed your gun laws this shit would stop.

Or better yet you can change "right to bear arms" to "right to arm bears" and that would make the world a much more interesting place

I don't live in the USA so my opinion is not relevant to citizens and voters. If I could vote over there I would probably mostly lean republican but the gun stuff I do think should be tackled regardless.
I can see the right to bear arms as a touchy subject and outright banning will never work and I wouldn't quite agree with.

Regardless, many of these mass shooters recently are in the 18-25 age range.
Not sure the initial stuff we've heard about this loser is true but apparently he bought the semi automatics on his 18th birthday.

They should ban buying guns (and also ban voting!) for anyone younger than 25. In concession the dems should agree on required voter ID.

What they've done in Scotland allowing voting for 16 and 17 year olds is also sick in the head if you ask me.
I'd like to see the age of voting increased in the west. Sure, I also thought I knew everything at 18-19 but I clearly didn't.

I know a lot of people consider the 2nd amendment essential to prevent government overreach, others want that right for personal protection.

I can understand both of those things. Regarding the government overreach perhaps an alternative would be to take control of the armed forces away from the government, put it in the hands of the people somehow. Then perhaps the 2nd amendment would not be necessary for at least that side of things.

Imagine how many wars the USA would be in if they needed a super majority of the peoples votes to actually deploy. Slim to none is my guess.

I think this weekend (low liquidity) will be very telling of the current state of the market. Last weekend was non-stop downwards, if we get sideways or even up maybe most of the panic and weak hands have probably been purged from the system.

LUNA down to $0.02.

It's funny, but I do feel for those who have lost all their money on it. I know it's their fault for buying shitcoins, but the scammers running these things deserve way more blame.

Blood in the streets people. Time to buy. Yeah the paper losses suck, but they are just that, paper losses. In a couple years they will be paper gains again.

We may drop further down, to the 200WMA for instance, but every time that has happened in the past it has been the perfect entry point. It's at these times that big wealth is made.

On another note I must say it has been a pretty amazing (or devastating) last 24 hours. Attack on Luna (because they deserved it for their stupidity) and, more interestingly, an attack on Tether. The Tether attack is definitely an attempt to crash everything IMO. The FUD against Tether has been ongoing for years and my guess is the attackers were hoping to capitalise on that. Seems to have failed, but may not be over yet.

C-A-P-I-T-U-L-A-T-I-O-N

That could of happened with that move down to 24k. If not I think it will be pretty soon.

Just thinking out aloud but I reckon when we start seeing decoupling from the stock market the capitulation has been and gone.

Birthday this weekend, who likes my cake Smiley

Happy birthday indeed, but I have a question did you get all your bitcoin back in this dump? If so, I'd say you got a pretty good birthday present to go along with the cake.
