321  Economy / Computer hardware / Re: Custom FPGA Board for Sale! on: August 28, 2011, 12:44:26 AM
PSU 24-Pin ATX Power-On Dummy Plug

* Allows the powering on of a supplementary power supply
* 24-Pin ATX Connector

Here are the dummy plugs which will allow powering on of a standard PSU, the PSU can then provide power to FPGA cards and stand apart from the laptop.
Or for about 1/1000 the price of one of your PSU dummy plugs you could cross the green and any black wire with a paperclip.
322  Economy / Goods / Re: [WTB] PCIe Extender Cables & PSU on: August 27, 2011, 11:17:24 PM
I just scooped this PSU up.

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16817371031

If you add a cheap filler you can make it ~$22 after rebate.

That's the same PSU I recommended she should buy. It'll handle 5850 and a 5870, plus another video card.
323  Economy / Goods / Re: [WTS] Evga 780i SLI with cpu/ram $100 on: August 27, 2011, 10:55:54 AM
bump running the same board =)
I've had a few people question if I can run 4x cards, are you Bash? I can't find any answer to it online.
324  Economy / Goods / Re: Want Small Thumbdrive (1 gb, 512 mb) for .05 BTC on: August 27, 2011, 04:13:46 AM
If anyone cares about their privacy they'll put their old unwanted storage devices through a shredder.

Hard drives, cell phones, thumbdrives, gps units, in fact anything that contains flash memory should be turned into milkshake once you're finished with it.

That's ridiculous. Since it's not magnetic media, a good full null format will do the job.
325  Economy / Goods / Re: [WTB] Stable open air rigs on: August 27, 2011, 04:07:29 AM
I will sell you a custom air rigs very similiar to mine that I have below. All I need from you is to know how tall your CPU cooler is (bottom of mobo to about 1/2 inch above CPU cooler) and I'll make it to that height. (as you can see in mine, my ram is actually taller than my cpu cooler.) I'm going to lay down the psu's flat this time around. I just used a few pieces of velcro to hold the PSU down. The motherboard has only 2 nylon bolt/nuts to keep it from moving, and I've never had an issue with it.

Tomorrow I'll have pictures of the new rig.

Here's pictures of revision 1:

Also note I was ripping the 1x1's out of 1x6 and ran out, hence why the fan is lying on two random strips. I'll be putting cross members up there AND cross braces vertically between the cards to keep them upright. ( I didn't have cable extension dimensions at the time.)

Anywho! I'll get revision 2 made and throw up pictures.  These will be stackable!

I'll sell a 6 card chassis for $30.

Shipping is two options:
1) Number coded put together for about $15-20 shipped each ( All you need is a philips and a few minutes)
2) Ship entire thing assembled, which might be about $25, I'm not sure on UPS dimensions vs weight costs.

If you like these, I might start selling more. I know I have the cheapest product here.
326  Economy / Goods / [WTB]4x HD 5770's on: August 27, 2011, 03:25:20 AM
I'm looking to buy 4 of them. Shoot me PM's with what you have. I can't even find these darn things in my state for sale on craigslist.

Note: I can buy new for $100 each. I'm looking for fair deals here. I will pay more if you have the receipt (pdf works) to go with it.
327  Economy / Goods / Re: What store would you like added to spendbitcoins.com next? on: August 27, 2011, 02:37:22 AM
For Newegg

Use www.bitegg.net

I use it all the time.

This guy charges a fee unlike SpendBitcoins.
328  Economy / Goods / Re: [WTS] Evga 780i SLI with cpu/ram $100 on: August 27, 2011, 02:36:45 AM
Bump for a cheap 3 card setup.
This should run 4 with that hidden 1x slot in there, but I don't have a 4th card to try it!
329  Economy / Goods / Re: What store would you like added to spendbitcoins.com next? on: August 27, 2011, 02:05:16 AM
What happened to newegg? I know you use to have it, now that i actually have some coin, you dont use them anymore - i would also like to see ebay gift certificates:
https://www.paypal.com/cgi-bin/webscr?cmd=_ebay-gift-certificate

Ebay gift certificates would be great. Only problem is he'd have to calculate the "affiliate fee" he'd get for each one. Paypal denied his affiliate request. Newegg apparently was a pain in the ass to deal with, which is why he dropped it. For the most part, you can get everything off amazon (and sometimes more) than with newegg.
330  Economy / Goods / [WTS] Evga 780i SLI with cpu/ram [Price Reduced!] 9btc w/ Free Shipping! on: August 27, 2011, 02:03:13 AM
I'm selling a evga 780i sli board. Comes with 1x 256mb and 1x 512mb hynix ram.  Also comes with a stock intel heatsink and a pentium 4 3.0ghz.

Link to CPU: http://ark.intel.com/products/27478
Link to board: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16813188024

I had 3x 5870's running on this without a hitch, with 16x risers. I'm the original owner and it's been in an antec 900 case since day one, proper ventilated. Was running a q6600 overclocked to 3.4ghz, but that's minimal FSB overclock. It will come with the backplate. This is a solid board, hate to see it go.

From the rough prices I've seen $100 is a fair price for the board, plus you'll get the ram and cpu. Will do $80 via paypal or 9btc! Free Shipping!

331  Economy / Goods / Re: [WTS] Gigabyte 5870 - $215 shipped UPS [Reduced Price!] on: August 27, 2011, 01:45:03 AM
Ill pay you $190 paypal.

Sorry, just had another buyer go through a few minutes before I saw your post. Would have much rather went for the straight cash, but owell. I will have another in about a week if you are interested in that. Identical board.
332  Economy / Goods / Re: [WTB] PSU on: August 26, 2011, 03:18:44 PM
This one is $30 after MIR. Plus it's 620 CONTINOUS, and it's 80 plus certified. Great value for a miner.

Uploaded some pictures of it in action.
334  Other / CPU/GPU Bitcoin mining hardware / Re: Is it worth mining? Component degradation. on: August 26, 2011, 02:22:58 AM
I typically use "Aggression = 7" parameter and GPU load is 96-97% procent, this way the hash rate do not drop too much and the GPU is much more stable and degrades slower. It's the same as using a fixed framrate at 50HZ in gaming, GPU is much less stressed and performance very consistant.

This would make me cringe. 50 fps in any first person shooter is terrible. I know the eye can only percieve 23ish frames per second but still, you can tell a difference. But back ontrack.

Do you have any proof the GPU degrades slower at only 96%?

Another thing is see how long your warranty is, and send the card back in faulty real close to your end of warranty. It depends on your integrity. A "mysterious" component malfunction could also be sent back for a warranty. Like, kill your fan by preventing it from spinning and let the card melt itself.
335  Economy / Goods / Re: [WTS] Gigabyte 5870 - $230 shipped UPS on: August 26, 2011, 01:17:40 AM
It's at 385 mh/s @ 900/600. I haven't unlocked Afterburner yet after the format.

This is still for sale!

336  Economy / Goods / Re: [WTS] Gigabyte 5870 for paypal/BTC on: August 25, 2011, 04:54:51 PM
I haven't checked in a while, it's something around 395. But Note, It WILL BE FASTER if you run with the newer miners, better drivers etc. I haven't optimized. I'm using apparently bad drivers and an older phoenix. I awaiting a motherboard to arrive today before I do all the tweaks, as I'm going to reinstall windows after the mobo swap.
337  Economy / Goods / [WTS] Gigabyte 5870 - $215 shipped UPS [Sold at $200] on: August 25, 2011, 03:01:15 AM
I have a Gigabyte 5870 1GB edition with the dual fan setup. I have the original box to go with it. Yes I know, I don't have a picture yet. It's in my open air conditioned mining rig. It's only seen 70c with fan at 85%. Overclocked to 900/300.

Now, I'm looking to get $215 shipped UPS. I'd prefer paypal as I can't pay eBay in BTC yet! You'll get a tracking number and with most places UPS is only 3 days. Yes I'm charging more through btc, as it'll cover the fee's and time to get it into cash(Blame Newegg for not taking BTC Tongue)

I WILL ONLY SHIP TO VERIFIED USA Paypal residents. If it has to leave the country, you won't be getting it. I ship directly to the address associated with the paypal account. I don't have a goofy heatware profile, but can see my ebay feedback here: http://feedback.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewFeedback2&userid=xuriouspc&ftab=AllFeedback .

It's the card in the middle, in action:

338  Other / CPU/GPU Bitcoin mining hardware / Re: 6850 question on: August 12, 2011, 10:32:38 PM
I was using the single slot powercolor one until i got a different mobo.  got about 280 out of it stocvk voltage... memory was at 445 (anything lower caused issues) probably can get more with latest kernels though...

I stopped using it, need to sell it now...

Are you talking about a single slot 6850 getting 280mh/s? I don't see it feasible. I have 3 and I'm lucky to get 240 out them. Even at that they crash the system once every 4-5 hours.
339  Other / CPU/GPU Bitcoin mining hardware / Re: Recommendation wanted: LGA775 Motherboard with 2+ x16 slots and 1+ x1 slots on: August 12, 2011, 10:30:04 PM
Evga 750i sli fits your specs. Should be cheap considering the 780i three way sli board I have runs 3 cards no problem, and has a 1x pcie slot in there.

The 780i goes for around 80.
340  Other / CPU/GPU Bitcoin mining hardware / Re: Warter cooling on: August 12, 2011, 10:26:14 PM
I wouldn't water cool the 5770 either. A good aftermarket gpu cooler will cost FAR less (say $50 dollars for it) in setup costs and overall expenses. Or like the other guy said, trade it for a different one. Heck, sell the 5770 for $80, take the $100 dollars it'd cost for the water heatsink, and buy yourself a 5850 with that money which would nearly double your mh/s on that 5770..

If you are REALLY intent on going the water route (which is NOT anywhere near cost effective) then do yourself a favor and collect 2 or 3 junk air conditioners. Take the radiators out of those. They have lots of cooling for darn near free, compared to what you'd spend on some dinky 120x360mm purpose built radiator.

You will need a better pump though to push the extra water through, buy yourself something decent that puts out a few hundred GPM. Use 2 cooling loops and 2 loops through the radiators if you have to.

Depending on where you live, you could even move the radiator to outside your house, keeping your room nice and cool.
