1  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Pools (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] The First Litecoin PPS Pool (litecoinpool.org) on: March 04, 2018, 05:10:39 PM
I'm very saddened to see LiteCoinPool.org (LCP) go in this protectionist direction. I have been running my L3+ on the site since I got it a month ago. I appreciated the low threshold/payout that THEY set up and offered. It's not fair, or mature, to accuse miners of "abuse" when YOU, LCP, set the standards for payout! So, without notice, tweet, blog post to your over 12,000+ dedicated miners, you change the rules, obscure those new rules, and act petulant to the very miners which support your site. NOT professional.

Hey, it's your pool, do what you wish. But don't expect the very people you've just insulted and accused of abuse to stick around. And on that note, even with your "102%," your frequently changing difficulty, and arbitrary (read: secret) payout policy change, miners will just head back over to Nicehash or Prohashing. After all, at the time of this post, they are both paying MORE than you!.

I've liked being a part of the LCP community and felt like it was a good place to mine, but now, with whatever is going on internally, I know that I and my L3+ are expendable and being treated badly for following THEIR RULES!

So, goodbye for now LCP. I hope you get your act together and become a positive force in the mining community once again. Until then, I will be mining at a pool that does not call their thousands of miners "abusers."

Rabble rabble, rouse rouse. You are grasping at anything that could be possibly be interpreted as offensive for something so minor.

Hi has anyone noticed any transactions/payouts from Siamining pool missing in the Siacoin wallet?

I've had one payout 3 days ago not show up in my Sia wallet and again another one few hours ago not showing up in my Sia wallet. See circled transactions in image below.

All-Time Paid Out: 34,695.83 SC from Siamining, but confirmed balance in wallet is: 32098.87 SC, so i'm missing 2596.96 SC

If anyone's experienced this please let me know what you've done to recover the missing payout.

BTW, I'm using Sia-UI version 1.3.1 wallet.

Very common problem with the 1.3.1 UI Wallet, I've talked with other pool ops and their users have the same issues. See here for how to fix it https://siawiki.tech/wallet/lost_transactions_troubleshooter

You can always verify the pool has issued the payout by checking the TXID and looking at in the explorer.

Thanks xurious for the quick reply. I'll give lost_transactions_troubleshooter a try,
but like Tekno2020 (thanks for your tip) mentions at a later date after I've transferred existing Siacoins out of the wallet.

Along with Tekno2020:

Deleting and restoring from seed is a safe operation. There is no data loss as you have your original seed to recreate the wallet from. It's the same as restoring from seed using an electrum wallet.

can I run marlin and then run say an ether miner? or do I have to use claymore duel miner for that?

Claymore is a dual miner for ETH + SIA.

Marlin is for solo SC only.
5  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Marlin - SiaCoin OpenCL/CUDA Miner - CPU/GPU/iGPU on: January 20, 2018, 08:27:52 PM
this miner isn't going to make it long since there are now asics that mine siacoin

is this why when I mine on the pool I get very little coins?

why do all these pools have a minimum payout of 500 to 1000 SC?

thats alot of work to do without getting paid it would take me 1 whole month with my 1070 to mine 500 coins

Difficulty is 3x of what it should be (which is reducing your income by a 2/3rds.)

Plus the difficulty for the whole network is going up, and will go up as ASICs are landing.

Why am I not surprised? in order to host files and earn money I'd need to have 2000 tokens in my wallet, this is like steemit, have some steem to have power when you up vote people and then earn money, no thanks.

Uh.... yea you have to have SC in your wallet in order to host files for others. The SC in your wallet becomes collateral so if you have a shit computer/connection and the files are never online then you lose your collateral. You dont just earn SC for nothing.

If you didnt have to provide collateral to host files then the whole network would be garbage and you wouldnt be able to access your files when you need to.

Bingo!

It is not in the blockchain

We were made aware of a slight issue earlier today that affected a small batch out payout transactions. The issue has been corrected.

Payouts affected by the issue have had the transactions actions cancelled, the amount added back to their balance, and new payments have been queued.

As of this writing, the payouts have already started to have been sent.

it doesn't work for cuda 2.1 card,

http://prntscr.com/ckyrjx

Could you provide more specs? I've verified it works on an NVS 4200m. While not an amazing chip, it's certainly cuda 2.1, equivalent to a "GT 520m."

r9 290 gets 1147MH/s with 1050/1250

Most however just dual mine this coin with Claymore since its more profitable.

For the rest, Marlin is a great miner that offers significant speed advantages over some of the others.

after it i tested with pool and it worked, that was benchmark.and card was geforce gt 720m

Thanks, I'll look into the benchmark on the nvs I have, and verify on a 740.

Lightning fast with both AMD and Nvidia GPUs.

Can we get some actual screenshots or examples how fast it is with a couple of cards?

I added the one card I have on hand (rx 480 while at work). I'll add more as time permits the testing again over the next few days.

Marlin - OpenCL/CUDA miner for SiaMining.com
==============================================

Up to date info and download links: https://siamining.com/marlin

Info:

Marlin is a new Stratum miner for OpenCL and CUDA devices developed by SiaMining. It is designed to be fast, lightweight and easy to use.

Notable features:

  • Native Stratum support with SiaMining.com.
  • Lightning fast with both AMD and Nvidia GPUs.
  • Multiple built-in kernels.
  • Kernel and intensity can be set separately for each device.
  • Detection of hardware errors.
  • Detailed share reporting, including difficulties and reject reasons.
  • Throttling support

Usage:

Code:
marlin -u YourPayoutAddress.WorkerName -I 28

  • By default, the miner connects to SiaMining.com's Stratum server.
  • By default, all OpenCL GPUs are used. To use a specific subset of OpenCL devices, use option -d with a comma-separated list of device IDs. The full list of IDs is printed every time the miner is started. Note that Nvidia GPUs should be listed twice, once as CUDA and once as OpenCL devices; the OpenCL interface is disabled by default for these GPUs, as CUDA usually gives better results.
  • The default intensity is 24. You can use option -I to adjust it. You can also specify a different intensity for each device by passing a comma-separated list.
  • You can use option -K to use a kernel other than the default one; like with intensity, you can specify a different kernel for each device by passing a comma-separated list. Run a benchmark with option --benchmark to see all available kernels for a given device.

To see all supported options:

Code:
marlin -h

Example performance:

RX 480 - 1185 core, 2000 mem: Marlin v1: 945MH/s vs SGMiner: 904MH/s GoMiner mod3: 845MH/s.
GTX 960 - 1303 core, 3004 mem: Marlin v1 m2p4: 657MH/s , CCMiner: 627MH/s
GTX 760 - 1162 core, 3004 mem: Marlin v1: 384MH/s, CCminer 263MH/s

Example screenshot of the 760:

would love an update. re: roadmap
I see hardly no feedback from devs in users issues. It strikes my attetion the silence here as well in the sia.tech forum mostly because sia community always have been very comunicative.
I'll be espectante for any new news.
Cheers

There's nonstop communication in slack.
13  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Dual Mining Problem on: August 20, 2016, 03:38:23 AM

Anything i missed why i couldnt dual mine?
Thanks in advance!

Have you figured this out?

anyone can help me, where the wrong setting?
i want to mining at siacoin only
my setting
Code:
setx GPU_FORCE_64BIT_PTR 0
setx GPU_MAX_HEAP_SIZE 100
setx GPU_USE_SYNC_OBJECTS 1
setx GPU_MAX_ALLOC_PERCENT 100
setx GPU_SINGLE_ALLOC_PERCENT 100

timeout /t 3
EthDcrMiner64.exe  -dpool  stratum+tcp://sia.suprnova.cc:7777  -dwal lionmining.lionworker -dpsw lionmining -dcoin sia

i get blank screen just like pop up and close the cmd box.

Claymore's Does not do SIA only mining. There is a list of alternative miners at https://SiaMining.com/help (Including nVidia specific ones.)

Hem...

Which is the problem ?

9 hours mining , and 0 confirmed ?

https://s4.postimg.org/rdx528blp/Cattura.jpg

Pool suprnova .

You have to wait a few blocks for the coins to confirm as with every other coin,  there is no problem.

Ok thanks .

Sia requires usually 144 blocks for coin maturity, I'm already paying after 100 blocks, so you'd have to wait approx 100 x 10 minutes before your unconfirmed coins can be paid.

Each block has a block time of 10 minutes

And if you are looking for an even faster payout, SiaMining.com pays out balances greater than 2,000 sia every 36 blocks (6 hours.)  Grin

Undecided Undecided
someone can paste the configuration files to bat only siacoin extraction, for gpu amd
miner Genoil
miner claymore
thank you so much

pool = nanopol
pool= suprnova
I can not operate on these 2 pools

There is a windows command on siamining.com/help:

Code:
EthDcrMiner64.exe -epool us1.ethpool.org:3333 -ewal YourEthAddress.YourWorkerName -epsw x -dpool stratum+tcp://siamining.com:7777 -dwal YourSiacoinAddress.YourWorkerName -dcoin sia

Save that to a .bat and Simply change the payout addresses and worker names to your preference.

don't know if it happen on any pool but the miner keep telling me that i've sent that nonce x seconds ago...

another thing... ccminer is not working woth siamining.com pool?

Which CCMiner are you using? I've only tried with Klausts (which is also the one linked at https://siamining.com/help)

Unable to use ccminer. No matter what I try keeps telling me invalid parameters

What's your command?
I have tried a number of things. Seems fairly straight forward but it is not working. Only pool I can get to work for sia Suprnova and I still don't see any payments for shares after 8 hours of mining and their dashboard seems bunk. Trying to find alternatives but cant seem to find any that actually work.

"ccminer -a sia -o stratum+tcp://siamining.com:3333 -u 781e78dcde52cbc2b1ff264d4c86ac24330795be6b7589bceeec084d00b35df66fa7cad6873b.mi ne"
"ccminer -a sia -o stratum+tcp://siamining.com:7777 -u 781e78dcde52cbc2b1ff264d4c86ac24330795be6b7589bceeec084d00b35df66fa7cad6873b.mi ne"
"ccminer -a sia -o stratum+tcp://siamining.com:3333 -u 781e78dcde52cbc2b1ff264d4c86ac24330795be6b7589bceeec084d00b35df66fa7cad6873b"

Few others, nothing seems to work.

ccminer -a sia -e --url=stratum+tcp://siamining.com:3333 -u YourSiacoinAddress.YourWorkerName -i 28 should be the command with KlausT/CCminer. I don't have an nvidia box on hand to check at the moment.

Also, depends on which version of CCMiner you have. There's a few that work with Sia now.

After lots of requests, SiaMining.com now supports Claymore's Stratum on port 7777. See https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1545699.msg15537538#msg15537538 for more info!
