321  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Have you been scammed? or almost? on: February 08, 2018, 05:47:09 AM
Yes, when I first started knowing cryptocurrency I was scammed in many investment site. Maybe because I was not aware of ponzi scheme and hyip back then. Before you invest in a certain projects or any other investment site. You should first study their company if it real and my tip is avoid such company that will provide a very high profit in return in a short period of time. Yes they will pay you in the start but after that they will eventually gone when they got such money in their pockets.

Same here, when I am just started with bitcoin I was scammed several times too. I was scammed through HYIP's which involved bitcoins as payment,in  return for a  huge payment. Also, I joined bitsupra here, invested a small amount ob btc but did not give my share and I think they are deactivated now.

As an advise, to newbies here and alike Please check and recheck all ICO's  you are about to join. HYIP are mostly  scam so stay away from it.
322  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin is changing the world. on: February 08, 2018, 05:34:20 AM
Bitcoin has been changing the world, refreshing people's values and letting people know that virtual currency can also be used as a means of payment in the real world.

Bitcoin is changing in many aspects from financial, healthcare and so forth. This blockchain technology behind this innovation is a game changing as of now with the popularity of Artificial Intelligence, Big data analytics and many more. With cryptocurrency, the world become a small village where  someone can send payments or buy anywhere in the world faster  enough for a regular transaction. Also, its a great tool where it creates opportunity to all of us.
323  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Will ICO die in 2018? on: February 08, 2018, 05:23:31 AM
I do not think so that ICO's will die in 2018 but I think its the other way around. I mean its the explosion of ICO's and more ICO's will be made and so with scammers. In this way, a regulation will be introduce  to protect the investing public and I am in favor of this. Late 2017 up to now 2018, so many ICO's are  being done with almost same projects concept. Lately lending was "in", now some AI based, and others are in healthcare or having their own blockchain. Hope to see more unique projects as soon this ICO thing becomes matured.
324  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Is Telegram the new measure of ICO success? on: February 08, 2018, 05:14:41 AM
I think its a factor for the ICO success because you have many followers who is interested in your project/ICO. This is the way were the investors and supporters can interact with the developer and this is also the way to know fresh news about what is happening in your ICO.

Yes its one of the factor to be consider but not most of the time in my opinion. What we consider here in telegram is the community. A big community means more people being reach which translates to more investors as possible. Whether  it is a telegram community, Facebook, Discord or slack. As possible its better to reach potential investor in different medium as many as you can reach.
325  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Do you even read whitepaper bro? on: February 08, 2018, 05:02:43 AM
I always read the whitepaper before investing in to any ICO or buying some new coin to acquire some vital informations on their team, plans and vision for the coin they are offering. Reading white papers is important because it can act as a signal to inform whether a startup is legit or not. But there is also a possibility that a scam company can hire an expert copy writer to make a legitimate-looking whitepaper.

Yes its very important to read whitepaper especially if you are the investor. Future valuation of coin prices affects the technology behind them as the project is ongoing. Also, if you are a trader, its also important so that you will know if you are going to hold or release a certain coin.Whitepaper details about their project, what to do and explaining the tech behind it.

Quote
Positive thinking brings positive things.

Of course, its all in the mind. If you are thinking positively, slowly this will transform into actions and if you are doing good, something good will happen to you.I am also a believer of law of  attraction wherein, if you think something good, it will happen. Almost same principle behind it.
327  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Buying NEO. Yes or No?! on: February 08, 2018, 04:30:03 AM
neo is the daughter of the ether, so in my opinion a very promising coin , besides it is now avidly watching the Chinese

Nice analogy  Grin

But yeah, its good to buy and hold NEO so its a YES, indeed this is really one of the promising to coin. I have still NEO and I am adding more if I have  some funds. Top ten coins in Coin Market Cap is safe in my opinion and wherever there is adjustment, its minimal.
328  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Any chance for USA to ban bitcoin? on: February 08, 2018, 04:21:00 AM
I don’t think so. SEC just met with the senate and they didn’t talk about banning it. They want to
Regulate it, look into the money laundering  schemes and cybersecurity of it.
Yes, they are into regulating the cryptocurrency especially bitcoin as more are into scamming in the guise of fake ICO's. Also some are used in illegal trading. Even other countries are into regulating bitcoin and I think this is for the protection of users, especially us the public.
329  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Binance Down on: February 08, 2018, 04:10:09 AM
A market of that size is very good doing maintenance, Hopefully just a minute and do not panic people who want to trading.. Wink

Its understandable, since Binance is having many traders signup lately. Maintenance is necessary in order to serve us better. Just bear with them. Binance is an emerging exchanges that is becoming popular already, hope this is temporary.
330  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: hotel mining on: February 06, 2018, 09:20:17 AM
another cool fantasy for if profitability goes back up is to carry a rig around to cheap hotels and use the ac to cool it and the rig brings in the cost of the hotel.  I have a small ish 6 card rig that is about the size of a suitcase that could have brought in 40 dollars a day 2 weeks ago.

Imagine this same concept with higher profitability.  You could travel for free.  My only question is how would airplanes feel about a mining rig in checked luggage?   Customs?

I'd love to set this up in southeast asia and spend about 20 dollars a day on the hotel. 10 on food and live a life of free travel.  Just be worried about the rig being stolen.

Seems a nice idea but something like unethical and when hotel find this, they might banned you. Also, it can start a fire in a hotel if something goes wrong. There are many risk involved here. Also, as what being stated above like there are many issues involved and factors that may affect the performance of your mining rig like the unstable internet an so forth.
331  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What are u going to buy after this fall? on: February 06, 2018, 09:09:14 AM
I'm going to buy this:
1. BTC - 50%
2. ETH - 20%
3. Ripple - 10%
4. BCH - 10%
5. Cardano - 10%

What about you?
I think better will be buy only BTC because when correction will end then BTC must going up.

Yes, BTC is a major buy back here and hold until before December. Also from @OP Eth and Cardano ADA. Actually there is a bargain here, where you can check their previous prices, compare and study it.So much coin and token to chose from as `all are in dip when bitcoin is down also.

Actually I am checking also those Marijuanan currency like THC, dope and potcoin etc. seems promising too.
332  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Can world Government Kill Crypto? on: February 06, 2018, 09:00:24 AM
Governments cant kill drugs which have physical form for centuries.
So they won't be able to kill cryptos, but they sure can criminalize them. Stupid enough to be implemented by govts.

Same reasons with you here. People will always find ways to circumvent the law if it is beneficial to them like this cryptocurrency for example. Cryptcurrencies like bitcoin eliminate the boundaries in financial technology, wherein anywhere in the world you can send and receive and accept payments.
333  Economy / Economics / Re: Do bitcoin millonaires deserve their wealth? on: February 06, 2018, 08:53:30 AM
It is know that bitcoin has made a few millionaires, but many of these people don´t have any particular knowledge of the economy nor business. Do you think that is a fair situation?

I think that bitcoin gives a fair chance to others and millionaires getting rich with bitcoin means that they have studied the flow and ebb of finacial economics in their country and have been able to adapt when their had been crashes and dips in the bitcoin value. They knew how to hold and how to sell and have been able to sell when it is the kost value they can able to get.

That's right, its great chance like us whoa re early adapter of this new technology. It is from normal people like us that this cryptocurrency becomes what it is now today. Now, elites and several elite institutions are catching or stacking up bitcoin. Bitcoin is a great equalizer.
334  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Panic buy and panic sell | chance on: February 05, 2018, 04:14:29 AM
Yes this time I made a thread about, Panic sells altcoin when the price goes down for fear the price keeps falling and panic when altcoin rises because want to profit from altcoin.

Because everyone is trading to get profit, but why sometimes even loss? because of errors or panic?

most people currently buy coins just to follow friends, crypto pump groups, and get info from other places to buy one of altcloin, and there are beginners who only know the famous coins that make them lose because they do not know which coins will go up. the price and where the coins will go down in price, then most of now the panic sells and panics.

and here I want to ask how you always profit from altcoin trading?
We actually can get profit even in negative market like this. Just follow the panic selling then if the trend become positive then buy the coin back, then you will realize that you get more coin because you buy the coin at lower price.

When the market is bearish, still there is an opportunity. It is not that it i the end, you can monitor for the dip and and buy. Do not ride with the panic buying, instead wait for the market correction and buy in my opinion.Panic selling is a no-no for me, its better to have a paper loss than to lose in actual money.
335  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Bloomberg FUD led to another price crash. Why publish a two month old news now? on: January 31, 2018, 01:36:11 AM
Congrats to Bloomberg they finally succeeded in utilizing their repo and mass following to execute a well planned FUD. A two-month-old news was used and published again with the title "U.S. Regulators Subpoena Crypto Exchange Bitfinex, Tether". This is a mockery of whole crypto community. Here is a full coverage I found on the topic. https://coingape.com/cryptocurrency-prices-fall-amid-bloombergs-update-about-tether/

Thanks to all those who were spreading awareness and reality.

The subpoenas were sent 2 months ago nearly but did any news outlet actually report this story before today? I did not see it anywhere, perhaps it is just a case that no news article was aware of it until recently? I agree though that FUD is always too much and people need to learn to take a step back and consider news before reacting, as well as verifying the source of the news.

This is clearly a FUD news and they are not stopping in any way. Also, Facebook announced that they are not allowing those crypto ICO advertisement or they are removing now.  This  negative news is affecting the bitcoin price and last time I check its below $10,000 in my  opinion. Though its a good opportunity to buy, but its hurting to see in blockfolio.  Cheesy
336  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Where are you trading? on: January 31, 2018, 01:15:50 AM
I am trading a lot on Binance and I am satisfied with the quality of Binance. The new altcoin on Binance has grown tremendously, which is a chance for investors who are not involved in ICO projects to get good altcoin on Binance. The market is getting better and this is an opportunity for smart investors to make a lot of money.

I am a bittrex and poloniex trader but binance is the new rising star in trading exchanges. Its new but it listed several good tokens and coins. Lately they introduced the bnb token, so far its great. It helps to cut spending on fees. I think ku coin is also good, i have an account there but not active as of the moment, just registered.
337  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Biggest profit from an AirDrop? on: January 30, 2018, 11:46:20 PM
Airdrops are only for beginners who want to get their first coins. The value of such coins is minimal. From this there is no real profit. Airdrop is like a lottery with a small chance of winning. You will lose your time...
But sometimes it's worth starting with a small one to understand the meaning.

You have a point here but if you are lucky enough, you'll get a good worth. I remember the eBTC airdrop, I have friends got more than a thousand dollar value from his wallet. It skyrocket to an astonishing value. As of now, eBTC is still having a good price because dev is active and serious about the project.
338  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Are you afraid of hackers? on: January 30, 2018, 11:07:51 PM
Been afraid is the same thing as been afraid of arm robbers who are always in search of people who they will attach and probably take some thing from them on lawfully. So also are the hackers and one really need to be afraid of them for they are a set of dangerous set of human being.

Of course we are afraid, same as arm robbers minus the violence or harassment.Hackers are  proliferating too in addition with the advent of cryptocurrency. Its easy now to steal millions of dollars with this digital currency. We should be extra careful with our private keys keep it  outside of computer. For me I have a copy on my flash drive and another a printed one, just in case.
339  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: How can we identify pump and dump? on: January 30, 2018, 01:35:14 AM
I have come to the conclusion that most of the times when the price goes up fast with a lot of volume it is a pump and dump. The problem is that you ignore if the dump will come after 5 minutes or after 5 months.

Similar to that or it is. But usually a big pump happens in a Pump and Dump scenario. A long green candle shows up, a small trade and suddenly goes back to where it came from. This scenario is popular before when exchanges has trollbox. Poloniex remove it.

It usually range from minutes to hours or even days and then  no activity or little activity. Beware of this, very risky.
340  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Trading by follow signals. Is it good? on: January 30, 2018, 01:11:14 AM
IMHO, trading signals is a good reference. But still, its best to do your own research (DYOR) . All signals given will be check and validated by you , because its you who is trading it. The last decision still comes to you.

Do not follow all that is being fed, check always the current prices and graph. You might enter at the peaked, you'll end up as bag holder and will wait a longer time for market to rebound.
