Hey Quez, I just watched the video and I think it may need a few things to be added.

I think it would be a good idea to include a video of the prototype device working. I think that would make people much more interested in backing the project. It would also be great to give specific details on what backers can expect in terms of Boinc performance from the device. For example, how the device compares to traditioan AMD and Intel cpus.

Maybe you guys can put together another video that gives all those details. I would love to back you guys with some Bitcoin I have, but there is no bitcoin donation address listed on the kickstarter campaign, so maybe you can add a donation bitcoin/litecoin/monero/ethereum/dogecoin donation address where people can donate in various digital currency.

Here is yesterday's Coinigy altcoin podcast, Gridcoin analysis starts at minute 29. RTMoney has volunteered to do an interview for next week's podcast, which will delve into the details about Gridcoin and what its all about. This video is just mostly price analysis.

I liked the technical analysis on Gridcoin, would have been nice of course to do a little more in-depth analysis on what Gridcoin is all about and all that. I guess the next podcast will be more about the juicy details. Smiley

Thanks guys- Apologies for not giving fundamentals/background on $GRC last night. We got carried away and jumped right into the charts. Someone reached out to us on twitter about possibly discussing Gridcoin on our next show, which we'd love- we definitely need more in the way of fundamentals, dev interviews, and the like. Rob and myself are often too buried in code to do real in-depth research on each currency. Stay tuned!

I would also vote for Gridcoin, which happens to be one of the few altcoins that does something useful for science and distributed computing.

I was just about to post that, looks like you beat me to it.

Retweet this tweet if you want to see GRC get reviewed by professional traders:

The orderbook on Poloniex is looking a lot better today, I am sure the buy side liquidity will build up over time. We definitely deserve a top10 spot on coinmakretcap!

I am still trying to figure out if this is a large whale playing around or the cloudminers from Eobot who are auto-converting their mined btc to grc and pushing the price up.

wow great pump, congrats to the 300 sat buyers

I think Gridcoin is finally getting the recognition it deserves. It just touched number 40 in marketcap for the first time and I think it should easily be much higher than that based on what we all know it has to offer.  A lot of people want to get a larger holding of GRC and not many people want to part with theirs lol.  I know I won't consider selling anything until we have the market depth and liquidity of at least bitshares on Poloniex (700btc daily) which will happen over time.

It still amazes me how many Boincers still don't know about Gridcoin.

Checking out gridcoin myself. I always used Boinc, but I didn't know there was a way to use it and get rewarded for it.

337  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Marketplace (Altcoins) / Re: Sponsors Wanted For Crowdfunding Start-up [www.PICISI.com] on: September 17, 2015, 04:05:35 PM
Gridcoin has foundation funds that are meant for development and furthering the expansion of Gridcoin, so it may be a good idea for PICISI to apply for funding from the GRC foundation. This will have to be voted on by the GRC community of course. You should post here: https://cryptocointalk.com/topic/26169-gridcoin-foundation-thread/

I entered a test campaign, but I only see that funding is currently done through stripe only. Will you be integrating cryptocurrency funding anytime soon?

Looks like you finally got something up, I will give it a whirl.

You are right it's "something" not our target site or even our second choice but something that we must start with to begin to prove the concept.

Stripe actually has provision for collecting bitcoin for campaigns, I'm not sure if it is integrated in the testing, however it is part of stripe.  Long ago when EMC2 was donating at Experiment.com I learned of this option, but we wanted to donate EMC2 not BTC, so I didn't consume it for long term memory. I'll regain that knowledge.  Nevertheless I know you mean more than a single CC.   Had we raised over $7K the budget would be there for the target design site, if we raised at least $3K we would could have gotten a good custom theme site and add on the crypto tools.  But since we only raised $251 we literally didn't have much to work with.

We, along with other campaigns on the site, will conduct a campaign for our target site, so one way or another we will eventually reach our goal -- PICISI will be fully realized.

As people see PICISI in action they are more likely to support it.

Given that we are in test mode we will still provide the freebies just on a smaller scale.  Like instead of an article we provide a tweet.   Instead of a comprehensive campaign analysis a simple 10 point check.

If you also sign on as a Promotion Contractor you could get retroactive credit for your listing.  Just let me know if you want to be a registered Promotion Contractor.

But volume and liquidity is a lot more now that GRC is trading across 3 different exchanges. So that makes a big difference. Most altcoins loose value over the longterm, the fact that we are still maintaining value is a huge feat in its own right.

I think with the %1.5 inflation we will go up over the longterm.

What.... is going on???

GRC/BTC - Bittrex: Last 0.00000935 Bid 0.00000900 Ask 0.00000936 Vol 7.50251542 | C-CEX: Last 0.00000941 Bid 0.00000935 Ask 0.00000941 Vol 6.03800252 | Poloniex: Last 0.00000919 Bid 0.00000891 Ask 0.00000919 Vol 2.69795442 | BTC/USD - BitcoinAverage: Last $232.37 Bid $232.28 Ask $232.49

This about the exact price from 2 years ago when GRC was not on an exchange this time.  We sold and bought coins directly via BCT thread and excel sheet.

The price at the moment is not surprising at all.
339  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: My way to BOINC and Gridcoin - a short story on: September 17, 2015, 02:29:44 PM
Nice story Quez, we should get some actors and do a short film about your story. LOL

I remember I was mining all kinds of cryptos in 2013 and eventually I kind of stopped the whole mining game because profitability was declining rapidly. I remember looking through the forum and I came upon Gridcoin. I think it was a few days after Rob had launched the first version. I distinctly remember the ugly logo GRC has at the time, it was this nasty grey coin with a "G" at the center, LOL! But I instantly fell in love with the concept. I have been here almost from the start and it is pretty amazing where we are today and how far we have come. Lots of other coins came and went, but we are still standing and growing.

Europe has very expensive energy costs, in the US and Canada the price for 1 kWh ranges between 0.10-15 and in some places it is even cheaper.

I would agree with that statement. Poloniex has P2P lending now and is probably the #1 altcoin exchange these days.

Price Is rising constantly and smooth. The 1000 satoshi are passed within a few hours i assume.

People are looking forward for the new feature.  Some bigger exchange such as Bter and Crypsy do have an eye on Gridcoin. Let's see how things will develop..

Both Poloniex and Bittrex have become bigger than cryptsy and bter these days.  It would be great to get on a Chinese exchange like btc38 or jubi though.
