What are the legal ramifications of accepting cryptocurrency for marijuana in Arizona?? Has anyone actually looked into this?

The dev Rob, does not really post much on bitcointalk, you should probably head over to cryptocointalk! Who is the dev?
My opinion is that the problem starts when there's PoR and scrypt PoW running in the same time. I think that a better idea would be to have pure PoR or PoS/PoR, because it's safer. Maybe instead of repairing blockchain every day (or twice a day), it would be better to finish PoW and switch to pure PoR (or rather PoR/PoS) now? And I wonder if the PoR block minting is a good idea (let's compare it to curecoin, where the research makes no blocks but a normal trasfer hashed by asics, here it should be hashed by PoS). By this ocasion the reward algorithm could be improved: no halvings, but more proportional amount of coins to the amount of points in long term.

I think there is some syncing issues right now, I will post here when everything is 100% up to speed, btw paste your .conf file just to make sure you got everything right! Hey All
The Gridcoinresearch client sits with 1 connection but hasn't gotten any blocks....do I just have to continue waiting?
Also, the burn website says do not use until the 16th yet people are talking about burning.
Please clarify if we should use the site yet or not.

So far no reply! Let me know if it goes through/he responds. I'm pretty sure I sent him an email to that address and it got kicked back. I could be wrong though.

Sounds very interesting! Can't wait to try it, if this thing works as advertized, this will be a major turning point! Testnet 2 release today or tomorrow!

Get your coins out of Poloniex and do the burning yourself!!! Do we have to burn coins when my coins are on poloniex? Any plans to that?

Will do! How about pointing those GPU rigs @ Gridcoin. The new Gridcoin client has been released and now you can stake coins and get interest. This will provide a steady income for everyone! Not only that but you will be contributing to science in a major way since Gridcoin requires Boinc participation. Maybe we can have a vote or something. What do the shareholders think about this? www.gridcoin.usTwitter: https://twitter.com/GridcoinNetworkExchange: https://poloniex.com/exchange/btc_grcEmail him? I don't think he checks this site that often.

I have been burning coins for the past few hours and it works. The server had to be restarted by Rob, now it is working! I always hate those coin-switching, when the old coins must be manually exchanged to new ones, so I'm very happy that I'm starting with new wallet at once And mining by the Proof of Research is one of the best things in cryptoworld invented ever.

Gridcoin research starts trading on the 20th of October! Subscribe to our twitter so you are up to date on all info regarding GRC! Also read https://cryptocointalk.com/topic/1331-new-coin-launch-announcement-grc-gridcoin/page-262#entry110961 for all the latest info! My gridcoin.conf,it works fine. listen=1 server=1 rpcuser=benhur8sda2148ujasnhs rpcpassword=21411 rpcallowip=127.0.0.1 rpcport=9332 addnode=137.116.167.42 addnode=137.116.167.52 addnode=191.238.60.17 addnode=191.238.51.28 addnode=191.235.137.239 addnode=191.235.138.12 addnode=23.97.147.78 addnode=23.97.148.49 addnode=138.91.246.228 addnode=138.91.247.22 addnode=supernode.gridcoin.us cpumining=true threadlimit=1 email=xxxxx@xxxxx.com UpdatingLeaderboard=false suppressupgrade=true
Nope nothing works. I just installed classic client on third system and i am even able to get "synchronizing with network" message but its just gets stuck. And i have 1 active connection on that signal icon. What is going on? 10 days ago i was able to sync and now when i have to exchange the grc nothing works? When installed Gridcoin-Research, everything is OK, got >10 connections, got synced. Now I'm compiling it on another machine and try it, too. I guess that you should install research, not classic one. The only problem is with Poloniex who's deposit addresses seem not to be OK for Gridcoin-Research wallet. Maybe they have the classic wallet and the addressen are incompatible or so? This is the question for dev-team

Yes port is 9334 and make sure to have "listen=1" in your .conf file! On one of my rigs I did not have that line and the wallet would not sync without it. So make sure that line is in there! #1: Its OK to leave it in - the wallet ignores it and starts PoR mining on block 2051. But you have to scrypt mine from 1-2050. #2: No you can now run just one wallet; it figures it all out by itself now. But you do have to set "email=" in the config file to your single boinc email.
Thank you! The new wallet loads much faster and seems to be much more sleek and efficient, I am really liking this! This is a big improvement over the GRC classic wallet!
It hasn't caugth any connections since a few hours, I'm building it on my laptop and starting to experiment :/ What could be wrong with my conf file?? EDIT: I think the new port is 9334!
is it?

I think the new port is 9334! ** Proof Of Research Official Launch Date** 10 / 11 / 2014 : 6 PM GST; 1PM CST US UnixTime: 1413032407 This launch will give us 9 days to work out any issues initializing our foundation, finishing the scrypt phase, giving the exchanges time to initialize the new wallet - and starting the coin exchange program by 10-20 (our one year anniversary). On 10-20 we will be ready to go live with GRC PoR on the exchanges and start the PR phase. Rob
PS Download instructions and config info will be available by Saturday.
i'm ready to begin to mine again this great coin! I really like the pure Proof of Research!! I've built the wallet from github without problems (yay!), but can't connect Using .conf file rpcuser=username rpcpassword=password rpcallowip=127.0.0.1 rpcport=9332 listen=1 poolmining=false cpumining=true email=my_boinc_projects_email addnode=supernode.gridcoin.us addnode=node.gridcoin.us // didn't know which supernode is valid
BTW 2 questions: 1. I don't want to mine scrypt (particularly not on cpu), should I leave cpumining=true or not?? 2. I have boincs under 1 username but on a few machines - is it enough to have one wallet with the proper boinc_project_email address, or do I have to have a separate wallet on each machine?

I am gonna give the Research version a try and see how it runs!
