can you give more details on the sponsor option? what kind of amounts are we talking here? Can you give some more details on what exactly this is? PICISI will be a crowdfunding website that accepts fiat and cryptocurrency. It will be a very powerful vehicle for introducing CC to the broader world. It will enable many different coin communities to get their respective coins lots of exposure and use. Utility is the highest function for a currency, with PICISI Organizers and Donors are gently immersed in a world where CC has meaningful and practical financial value. At PICISI CC gets a lot of attention. When visitors come to the site to raise funds for things that interest them they will have the opportunity to collect fiat as well as CC. There are two host currencies, one for fiat and one for CC. The Organizer has three options: a) accept sponsorship, b) select from list of CCs, or c) PICISI coin (default). If they select sponsorship they will actually get paid because of that selection. That's a great way to introduce CC to someone. As Host CC sponsor all CC donations (regardless of type) are immediately converted to your currency and remain in that currency until spent or for the duration of the campaign. The Organizer has the opportunity to spend CC donations with a campaign contractor(s) who help Organizers create, develop, and/or promote their campaign. Thereby having your currency 'respent'. In addition to Host CC, there are 4 other sponsorship opportunities. With regard to Gridcoin, your coin has a focus on Science and innovation so you will probably do well to sponsor campaigns in that area of the site. For now, I'm specifically looking for people to endorse the PICISI plan -- tell me that you like the plan; and I am also looking for sponsors to help me start and develop the site. Of course I will display signage for supportive sponsors.

1) http://gridcoin.us/Guides/whitelist.htm2) Boinc is a must! 3) No, they are not obsolete. https://pool.gridcoin.us/CoinExchange.aspx Gridcoin classic must be sent to burn address from your own wallet, NOT exchange!!! https://cryptocointalk.com/topic/18805-gridcoin-proof-of-research-burn-problem-thread-coin-exchange-issues/I am always intrigued by this coin and always too bored to research it more or maybe your marketing isnt that good.
Anyway, i have a few questions but please dont just tell me to read the wiki. At least tell me which page of the wiki to read.
1) First and most important question. I am only a CPU miner. Is there any research project that require only CPU power instead of GPU or at least GPUs dont have big advantage? 2) Is there any pool that i can do this without downloading BOINC or BOINC is a must? 3) I see two coins now. Classic and Research. I had some (very few) gridcoins. Are those obsolete now? Do i get Research coins with them? Should i have been staking them all that time? How do the economics of two coins work? I see the term obsolete, which means what? 4) Can you please show me the most critical posts others have write for gridcoin and how you do reply to those?
Thanks.
P.S. I dont want to buy the coin. I want to earn it by helping in research. Thats why i am hoping between primecoin, riecoin and gapcoin since i like coins that want to be useful.

Actually its easy to be anonymous if you have some basic knowledge and do your homework. If true, this will be excellent news for authorities. It should help them easily round up some of those who financially support terrorist groups. Being truly anonymous with Bitcoin is not easy and requires extreme diligence. I hope they are using it, and that the authorities make some arrests. It would be nice to have this false charge of "perfect tool for evil" exposed as a lie.

Let's hope this trend continues.

Glad to hear it, keep us posted I am looking forward to trading on Bitspark. I voted and re-tweeted the bitspark tweet several times. I am glad Bitspark is taking Gridcoin seriously. Hi everyone, CEO of Bitspark here, George Harrap. I've been keeping an eye on Gridcoin and we recently had it in our coinvoting round, unfortunately we didn't see much traction from the community on our voting for Gridcoin but I am interested to support the growth of GRC. We will be unveiling some pretty awesome updates in the next few weeks (keep an eye on your favourite crypto news outlet) and I'd be interested to list GRC on the exchange at some stage, including direct convertibility to fiat and accessible in a number of languages we are rolling out plus some goodies we are working on. We want to support crypto projects that can change the world for the better and Gridcoin looks like a step in the right direction. Looking to gauge the community interest in this . @traderman, @mikekolba, @RTMoney, all Thanks for the feedback! Indeed, I think Gridcoin can be a good addition to Bitspark- I am constantly extolling the virtues of some of the innovation happening in the altcoin scene at every event I'm at here in Hong Kong and Gridcoin is a good example of that- I think that would turn some heads. After our current batch of updates we will look into implementation. I'll keep everyone posted here and also our social media feeds are the best sources of information.

LOL haha, great one. They sure look a cute couple Ohh don't you worry, there is plenty more on the way. Bitcoin and marijuana are made for each other. Man! that's great news We want more of this

You can't send large amounts of cash on PayPal without verification. Not exactly true. The whole argument that dollars are the same as bitcoin is bs. You can't send dollars with same speed and convenience as bitcoin.
Can you not? PayPal and other such systems seem to transfer money instantly. You can't send bitcoins without there being a paper trail as it's all recorded on the blockchain so you could argue cash in a suitcase across the border is just as easily moved. I think the point people are trying to make is any excuse you have for bitcoin being used for bad things always applies to cash too, and in far greater numbers.

How would the protocol be changed? I would have been dissapointed, if it could not be used for "bad things" ....it is a currency after all... if I could not buy drugs and illegal goods with it, it would have been good for law enforcement and bad for the Bitcoin users... that would mean, that it has no value. { A currency MUST be able to buy ANYTHING ...good and bad... if not... it would be worst than fiat/credit cards etc... }
People use all other payment methods to do illegal things, why should Bitcoin be different?
On the other side of the virtual coin. {pun intented} .... It would be great to have a currency, where you could trigger "tracing" markers for law enforcement to use, to track coins being used for these purposes. {Some people says... color coins} The trigger should only be "disabled" once the coins are cleared, rendering it useless.
There are lots of discussion, if this is the solution, but it's a step in the right direction.... The protocol can be changed to accomodate for that, but the application is a whole other ball game. {How do we stop the human factor, from doing the wrong things with this?}
