I did not know Curecoin had a POS!! Where did this come from? Does anyone know how the POS works with curecoin, I can't seem to find details anywhere
I asked this in the #curecoin IRC channel last night. Apparently it's exactly like Peercoin's proof of stake system - coins have to age to 30 days before they can start minting, 90 days max age. Approx 1% 'interest' per year earned minting based on aged coins in your wallet. If any of this needs to be corrected, devs please step in. |

I just got my first CURE payment today from the pool. It took about 30 hours. It is a little slugish, but that is because it takes a while for the WU to get verified, then picked up by the pool and then disbursed. So everything seems to work, it just takes a while!

I hope that is the case. I believe there's an email somewhere in this thread where Grey said that he maintained a list of addresses that were tied to shareholders. I could be wrong though.

Mine updated today as well. It seems it takes some time for the wu to be validated, but everything seems to be working so that is very good. Now I am waiting for the coins to hit my wallet. It would be nice if the payout was several times per day instead of once every 24h. I got a rig with 5870's and each 5870 is showing 17000 ppd, is that ok? Any ideas why some of us only get 1679PPD on some GPUs?
How long have you been waiting? Really took about 20-30 minutes for two of my three GPUs to start getting 90%+ utilization. Now they are running constant at about 96% average and estimated at 68,000 PPD each. Hours? My 5850 is doing only 1679PPD and has 99% Utilization. No CPU folding. |

What OS are you running, did you add gridcoin wallet exception to windows firewall? Hello! I can't sync my wallet. I've tried adding various nodes from different posts and no luck. I also tried to type 'upgrade' in the console and after what looks like some file downloads I get an error saying 'An exception occurred during a WebClient request..' over and over.
I've tried with normal and beta versions on 2 different computers with the same results. Any ideas what I could be doing wrong?

Volatility is good if you are a trader/speculator, not if you want Bitcoin used as an actually currency. Bitcoin's success (i.e. price per dollar going up, if that is how you measure it's success) is directly related to volatility. Stability = failure. Volatility = success. Not sure why people are touting that we need price stability. We don't. |
