Thanks for the replies guys. It  has been a day and I see nothing under transactions but I'll give it a few more days.
Good idea crazyjack about just watching the explorer instead of always logging in.
No external TV/Monitor available ranio but good idea too.
Yeah, nice little unit Jeramiah!

Anyone using a Stakebox for Hyper? I'm curious as I unlocked it for staking but I can't see if it is actually staking (though it notes it is unlocked for staking.)
It also states "Unavailable Due To Staking: 0 HYPER".

Thx in advance,
Its about sharing

Thanks for your help luigi and for clarifying this as a MyMonero bug or the like.

I just finished trying wallet #2. From my primary MyMonero wallet I sent the 10 XMR, along with the payment ID, to the addresses given in the import section from my Other MyMonero instance. Unfortunately. Same thing happened. Zero Monero. In both wallets it says the payment hasn't arrived yet, but I checked and it is on the block explorer.

So, if I may, I think it might be wise to avoid importing any paper wallets into MyMonero. I've imported them before, but before the last hard fork.

I don't have a lot of Monero, just like 2 BTC worth.
Anyway, I don't have a problem with a trusted member helper helping me.

Bed time for me now though. I'll check back in the morning. Thanks again for your help.
IAS

Ah, that explains it as usually he got back to me quick. Anyone else with MyMonero experience?
I am afraid to import my other paper wallet as I'm not sure the system is working. Has anyone done a paper wallet import since the hard fork?

He's been captured by the North Koreans.

Are you able to run a node? You can import your keys into simplewallet and it'll rescan the chain for your transactions. Actually, you can do that even without a node if you connect to a remote one (I don't have the information handy but there are several open ones).

Thanks luigi. Something with my Mac has made installing a wallet just not work. I have even reinstalled the OS. I had the Ethereum wallet on my machine and it had problems as well (would always fall behind.) So, I don't feel (yet) like trying the wallet again.

The problem is that when I input the seed words into MyMonero, it shows a balance of zero (and no transactions), so I'm not sure inputting them into a desktop wallet would actually do anything. I think they are stuck somewhere. They were successfully sent to the paper wallet, but with Monero, you can't really check the balance, lol. But you can see the transaction...

Hey guys,

I was trying to import a paper wallet yesterday into MyMonero. I put in the 25 word mneumonic seed and then sent 10 XMR to that address (and I just checked, I also put in the payment ID as well). Next time I logged in, I put in those same 25 words and there were no transactions present. The transaction is recorded though in my other MyMonero wallet. The importing wallet still says "Payment not yet received" when I click on "account"/"import transactions". Any idea where those XMR could have gone?

Thanks,
IAS

I sometimes notice a lag between my actual committed transactions and those that are reflected in mymonero.

Thanks (everyone) for the comments. I sent a message to fluffypony on Sunday as well as an email.
I know what you mean vokain (and long time no see! Hope you are well.) But I didn't even get to see most of the importing process. I sent the payment and started the import process but never saw it in operation, if that makes sense. When I log on now it just has a balance of 0 with no transactions, so it isn't like it was hacked or the like.  My other MyMonero account shows the 10 XMR was sent successfully. (As well as 10 from the same original wallet because I thought I could import those XMR into another account. Wonder if I can still use those XMR as it is on the blockchain.)

Thanks again guys,
IAS

I would suggest that you work it out with fluffypony either via email or on freenode IRC.

It has been a couple of days now and fluffypony has not gotten back to me via the messaging here. I don't have freenode IRC.
I also emailed support, but have not heard back in two days either.

Any other suggestions or can someone contact fluffypony or support to try to aid here?
Very much appreciated,
IAS

I'm pretty sure he is still travelling.  He has been in Asia the last little while.

Can anyone tell me on the Dash Android wallet, how long does it take for a transaction to go through after sweeping some paper wallets in?
They are swept in (show completed green circle) and for 30 minutes now says "This payment has not been transmitted yet."?
I notice the fee is .001 Dash, was that ok?

Thx in advance,
IAS

if this problem is still happening and after some time no answer has been provided, i suggest you make a thread here :

Ah, thanks, wasn't sure where to post it. Yeah, 2 hours later and same thing.

Appreciated,

331  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: LISK price speculation on: April 09, 2016, 10:50:47 AM
nice to believe YoBit price is real but i do not think it will hold, the fact its 0.004 on BloomBit is proof of that, i think it will decrease closer to release or just dump hard when everyone gets their Lisk

.004 on bloombit is not proof of anything except that they have a never ending sell wall that they keep replenishing at the same price instead of putting sells at different prices and letting it trade up a bit. If they did that, I'm sure the price would be higher.  But just think what will happen once they finally run out of supply.  The price will shoot up at that point.

They seem corrupt, so what is to stop them from trading more than they have? Though that can end quite badly, lol.

I just wonder why they are trying to keep the price down and at who's bequest?
332  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: [XMR] Monero Speculation on: April 09, 2016, 08:09:56 AM
Doom or massive shakeout? Opinions?

This dump without a single bad news common its pure new $$$ getting in

Could it be ShapeShift's XMR hot wallet balance that got dumped? They got hacked and only BTC/ETH is up and running again, other alts back online over the next Weeks.

https://www.reddit.com/r/shapeshiftio/

Yeah, in an interview they said they only keep a small balance (relatively) in the hot wallet.
I wonder if it was that shorter or someone taking advantage of his position...

Any word on which exchanges LISK will be trading on the 11th?

Thx
335  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][LISK] Lisk | ICO | Decentralized Application & Sidechain Platform on: April 04, 2016, 08:25:14 PM
my advice is to reduce awards delegates up to 3 coins per block first year, up to two coins in the second year and to 1 coins for all other years except inflation in the first year will be 39 %, which is first of all a lot, and secondly, each delegate receives in the first year more than 300K coins with less than 50K, you get a decent amount for the year, isn't it? although this is my opinion

Yeah, I've wondered about the 101 delegates getting all the reward. I'm all for them getting a percentage of the reward, but if you ignore those non delegate who are staking, then why would they continue to Stake unless they have a whole lot at stake? I think the fairest thing is to reward those who are putting in time as time=money and hardware=money. Delegates obviously (should be) putting in the most time and stakers a percentage of that. Work it out. Maybe the delegates get 60% of the staking rewards and stakers get 40%. It is just going to help the network and such. Anyone?

Lisk — The first modular crypto-currency

Scalability has been a problem with crypto-currencies since Bitcoin’s introduction.

Scalability is the capability of a system, network, or process to handle a growing amount of work, or its potential to be enlarged in order to accommodate that growth.

In order to resolve this, Lisk will become the first truly modular crypto-currency by utilizing sidechains as a solution to scalability. Lisk sidechains allow us to implement various features into the Lisk main network simply as Decentralized Applications (Dapps). This not only makes single features optional, it will also keep the Lisk mainchain streamlined in comparison to other crypto-currencies.
From an architectural standpoint it is rational to apply this modularity prior to the official Lisk launch. Therefore, effective immediately, we have completely removed the current implementation of usernames and contacts from Lisk. In the near future, they will be part of the so called “Core Dapps” which bring new features directly integrated into the client user interface (UI).

The first Core Dapp allows users to create a unique identity on the Lisk network involving information such as username, first name, surname, email, forum/chat username, and/or a description. Dapp developers are be able to access the identity sidechain and use the information within their own dapps, e.g. the name of a Lisk account owner.

Alongside with the other planned Core Dapps (messaging, dapp reviews/ratings, contacts), Lisk not only becomes a decentralized network, it becomes a feature-complete and independent ecosystem. Combined with the many dapps by our users Lisk will form a one of its kind hub for the world, empowering the Internet of Things and motivating many industries.

I'm not really a programmer but this does sound like what could be an incredible foray into a new area. If using Javascript wasn't enough, add to that sidechains for Dapps as a modular way of approaching things. This is going to be an interesting experiment. The proof will be in the pudding when we see how similar apps run on Ethereum vs LISK. One never knows...

"Users who have some experience with Javascript coding will see a lot of similarities with Solidity"

Solidity is almost the same as javascript. The difficulty is to understand how ethereum works and how to program as in which language. Solidity wants to be a certain standard for smart contracts

Interesting that they created a custom language for contracts with Solidity. But Solidity will be running on Servers, where as Javascript can run on either servers and/or the client side.
I do wonder if there is a big advantage in Javascript. I mean yeah, there are many coders than can just jump in, but of course a good coder can learn a simple contract language quickly.
That said, I think there are going to be more in the way of app potential, at least early on, with Javascript, as it is nothing new and is a powerful programming language.

I also wonder if having solidity running on the servers might come back and bite Ethereum as they are going to go to a POS system and I wonder if they will lose a bit of hashing power???

i think solidity was a good decission, because so they have also the development of their smart contract language in their own hands. They can perform by that an advantage over their competitors running a standard language. Even now solidity and javascript are making almost the same, in the future they can change that however they want.

Installing Lisk means you need software from at least 5 other companies. Thats not just a security issue. See npm registry backdoors. Ethereums technology is in-house. Therefor you have the value, reflected in the coins growth. Not speaking about Dapps with value of millions and support from tech companies. Eth became a black swan. Lisk seems is a playground for people missed the eth train and hoping now for a miracle. But miracles dont exists. Its like waiting for Litecoin catching up with BTC. Pricedrop from $50 to $1,3. That was a lesson and history repeats. I would not be surpriced Lisk catching up with Crypti market cap. Where are the Dapps?

Yeah, I am sure LISK is a bit for those who missed Ether, but VHS was for those who missed... What was the name of the better tech again? lol. Anything can happen. Just as Ethereum might turn into a black Swann (way too soon to say) so might LISK, etc.

Regarding Dapps, I don't think that is the sell on these technologies. That is the result of companies and people seeing the value in the product. This is totally different than people speculating on Crypto (only). Now, you have companies who are going to be using this tech, but probably not on a large scale anytime soon - so still some speculation. I do think the money that came into ETH was from bigger pockets though.

This space is just waiting to explode. We are still a teeny little Niche. Can you imagine once mainstream (even in small part) gets going?
We have yet to hit our internet bubble, so to speak.

It is interesting having a public figure to "market" Hyper. A lot of people who watch fights probably play games too.
We are in the very early days of Crypto and a lot of the coins out there can become something. It isn't always the "best" that wins, but often a combination of marketing, tech, ease of acquiring, etc. that amounts to something in the end. Hope Jon keeps it up and stays healthy.

what happens to the price of ether what the price will be in the summer ?
The price rised .80$ to 14$ in 2,5 months... its insane, needs correction
Correction is over (in my opinion), now we are lateral some weeks or months

I tend to agree, but it really depends on that money that recently moved in. If there are some big sellers and the buyers don't come in, the price will go down, where I expect those big buyers to come back in. So, we may see some volatility, but I get the very strong feeling larger money moved into Ethereum. The writing is on the wall as far as that is concerned...
