3201  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling as a profession: there's people who live out of gambling? on: January 11, 2021, 11:15:32 PM
Trying hard would not work if the system in place would not make you beat the house, just look at the dice sites now, they have already grown overtime, they don't only offer dice, they have already added a variety of games because they have enough funds from a profitable operation.

I think instead of trying hard, just try your luck.. Bet on a huge multiplier and then stop and enjoy your winning if you hit it.

Maybe we can try the other gambling game, but not to play with hard because we will not get a big chance to beat the house. Yes, I agree with you that we can play gambling and try our luck, and if we win, that will be the time for us to stop instead of continuing for other rounds. If we keep playing without thinking about stopping for a while, we will lose that win money.

That is true, every gambler needs to know where his limits are and when to stop. It's not easy and every tine you get lucky you might think why I wouldn't be lucky next time and time after that. But this might get dangerous and there are only very few people who can actually make for the living with gambling but majority of us are not among them.
I heard about a few guys who killed the family members after getting in debt(more than $120k), this is not the normal way of living life. Gambling has to be regulated hardly especially by the regulators before letting the users deposit insane amounts. There is nothing wrong to make small money while having fun in gambling but putting the bankroll which gamblers can't afford to lose is not a good idea no matter how reliable bet is.
That's  sad news but we can't control everyone, some killed people because they are drunk but alcohol is still not ban, so there should be no difference in casinos in terms of treatment. It's our responsibility to ensure that we are matured enough to understand the risk in gambling, yes it's entertaining but it comes with risk, the higher the stake will increase the risk so cases like that does not happen all the time or every time, gambling casinos hence will still exist.

Regulation? of course they are regulated once they have a license.
3202  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Your Life After 10 years in Bitcoin... on: January 11, 2021, 10:33:47 PM
I know bitcoin and joined the bitcoin bounty not until 10 years, only 4 years until now, at that time 2017 I just signed up for bitcoin and started actively working on bounty like a signature in 2018, when getting bounty rewards that I worked on greatly changed my motivation to focus on finding a bounty that is in the bitcoin forum. because I've achieved results that are so satisfied with what I'm doing. And hope bitcoin will always be there for the next time.

Bitcoin will stay but bounty might not, that's the reality dude.

If you compare the bounty jobs in 2017 to the present, you'll see the big difference and bounty is not anymore as profitable as before.
However, if you earn a little and you are satisfied with it, well, you can use that you buy bitcoin to hold in the next 10 years, just don't focus on bounty hunting as your main job as there's no stability and security inn your career.
3203  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Mark Cuban says he'll run for president if BTC hits $1M on: January 08, 2021, 12:55:49 PM
More positive news means bitcoin will soon dump, I don't like big personalities hyping bitcoin, it does not end well most of the time.

By the way OP, please fix the link, I think it's not working.

This is the link

"Dallas Mavericks" owner Mark Cuban said Tuesday he will run for the office of the president of the United States if Bitcoin hits $1 million.
3204  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: NBA 2020-2021 betting on: January 08, 2021, 12:43:17 PM
Therefore my pick is : JAZZ +6

I'm betting on the moneyline as well. I got 3.09 on Jazz winning on the road.

I guess that's a good odds considering Jazz is a playoff team too and they are healthy so far.
3205  Economy / Economics / Re: NFL Player Salary Paid in Bitcoin on: January 08, 2021, 11:32:52 AM
Another good news in sports and for crypto as a whole. They are now recognizing bitcoin, the fact that he wants his contract to be paid in bitcoin, I think he wants to hold it long term and he will belong to the one of the richest when bitcoin will eventually go to the moon.
3206  Economy / Economics / Re: Out of Reach on: January 08, 2021, 10:12:08 AM
1 bitcoin seems a big target if we based on the current price, of course it's not easy to achieve 1 btc unless you have a capital ready to buy bitcoin. For me, I will just wait until the price will start to dump, then I will start to accumulate, I may not be able to do it one time but I'm certain with constant accumulation at the right timing, I could make it happen.
3207  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Another sad story, 2.6 BTC lost. on: January 08, 2021, 09:45:43 AM
This is very costly and more frustrating because bitcoin reach a new ATH, the owner will surely not gonna forget his mistake, it's just sad that he will learn the hard way. Hopefully he will not hate bitcoin because of this, life must go on and he should stop blaming himself if he is doing it.

Maybe he should be positive, he helped to decrease the supply of bitcoin, lol..

He burned it.  Grin
3208  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Attention: Biden has officially won, make sure your sportsbook pay you. on: January 08, 2021, 09:09:47 AM
Just got curious does sports book website is not yet paying the bettors for placing bet on Joe Biden? Looks like the US was having a riot and everything seems not good I hope the bookies would be able to pay now their bettors.
Just take a look in some post above and you'll see that there are some who has already Paid and some are not .

Maybe the factor here is the Legit reputation  ofthe site where they Put the Bets , and How much they are gonna win after waiting this long , Month long waiting .

If there are sites who have not paid the winning bets, I guess they should be posted here, people has to be aware about their reputation and for them to avoid getting scammed. Big sites normally pay, in fact, they don't lose money here, there are winners and losers and since they facilitate bets, they should make money from it.
3209  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2021 NBA Season on: January 07, 2021, 10:59:31 PM
The motivation for the players is likely to change knowing that their franchise is about to be sold very soon. But as long as they are under a contract and they are paid for those contracts, I think they should only think about the league and not about the franchise.

Disagree with the first part but agree with the following one.

I don't think a player's motivation will change for that kind of issue. They care for their career and being a professional one, they need to play their best at whichever team regardless of the plan in the future. Players build and improve their stats as a part of their career profile and that issue shouldn't affect their performance.

Selling the franchise will not totally rebrand the whole team if decided. It's just a change owner and most likely, not much changes will be made by the new owners.

Correct it's just a change of ownership but there's still a risk that big changes will happen, hopefully players are still comfortable despite knowing that their team is for sale or will be sold to a new owner. There are some teams in the NBA that was sold before, and I guess they are still doing good until now.
3210  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: NBA 2020-2021 betting on: January 07, 2021, 10:39:22 PM
I just started learning about the NBA and I've won a couple of singles and parlays already and lost some too. Moving forward, I would pay more attention to this thread as I learn more and profit with you guys. My favorite sports has always been soccer but I've picked an interest recently in NBA games. Those odds are just too juicy to be ignored. I hope Y'all would carry me along.

There's some games tonight, what are your picks? I'm interested to know  Smiley
Good luck with your transition and journey with NBA. Stadus' picks are good and other members who are also posting their opinion within a certain match and teams involved for that match.

I would only pick with the Lakers versus Spurs match later. I'll be picking Lakers.

We have like minds for tonight.

I'm going in on the Lakers tonight, I believe they'll  win tonight against Spurs and cover the spread, However, I'm not taking the full spread, I'm only going with
Lakers -4.5 vs San Antonio Spurs @ 1.81

I'm curious what happened? Lakers opened up -8.5, it's the right line since they are playing at home but now it's down to -5.5 only. AFAIR,  Lakers beat the spurs twice on the road but Spurs covers the spread on that two games.
3211  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2021 NBA Season on: January 07, 2021, 12:50:44 PM
It was amazing seeing Markelle Fultz lead a team to victory finally.  What happened to his jumpshot is one of the strangest mysteries in sports.  I've never seen someone suffer from such a mental block, except maybe Charles Barkley when it comes to golfing...

So sad to see Markelle blew out his ACL and will be done for the season now.  He was just starting to find himself again and look like a top draft pick.  At least he signed a good contract before this happened, because with his mental struggles previously I'm not sure how he'll be able to handle recovery from an ACL.  A lot of people are never able to get back to near what they were before, with one famous exception being Dominique Wilkins.

I'm seeing another Drose in Fultz. I agree, Markelle is quite starting up again after the shoulder issue. I watched some of his recent games and yeah, I could I say he's back. Tough loss for the Magics but greater hurt to him, He'll be missing the remainder of the season and most likely half a season next year or worst he'll be advise to sit out for the rest of 2022 season as well.

We'll tbh, He could ask Drose for an advise for this as they have now both experienced the same injury. I think Rose, would be a great help for Fultz (given that they're from different team) but advises makes a difference.

Hoping that he could bounce back again on this one.

Lots of serious injury we have witnessed already but some players able to come back. I don't know the exact injures but I can name some of the players that we thought they are done after a serious injury.

1-Paul George
2-Gordon Hayward
3-Kevin Durant

These players are playing like they did not get injured, I mean they are not affected a lot if there is.
3212  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Attention: Biden has officially won, make sure your sportsbook pay you. on: January 07, 2021, 12:29:48 PM
Few sites have decided to pay user who bet on biden on last year, and with current bitcoin price, i can say those sites are lucky. Imagine they have pay the winner now, after joe biden officially won, they must pay bigger now. Congrats for all people who bet on biden, your winnings is great too because of bitcoin price still pumping atm

It's not the sites who are lucky, it's the bettors because if they bet BTC, their btc is stuck and they receive it when the price of bitcoin is high. Imagine, you bet when bitcoin was still below $15k and now you are getting a price of $37k, that's a lot of profit, your btc increase and at the same time its value has increase more than 100%.
3213  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling as a profession: there's people who live out of gambling? on: January 07, 2021, 08:07:16 AM
Whether it is sports betting or casino games, constant profit from them in the long run is almost impossible.
I really don't think so, maybe other type of games but games that you can use your skills like sports betting, I think you can be profitable in the long run, achieved a win rate of 60% and you'll be profitable, just know how to manage your bankroll properly.
3214  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Floyd Mayweather vs. Logan Paul - February 20 on: January 07, 2021, 07:49:37 AM
^^ Obviously, Mike Tyson really knows what this fight is for, just like what he did with RJJ, just to entertain the fans and have some good money for both of these fighters, specially Floyd who is know the king of exhibitions fights.

Definitely he is going to win the fight, but for the pleasure of the fans, he might extend the fight and allow Paul to hit him from time to time so that we will get excited.

Just to adds up the fun and entertainment.

Knowing that he can dictate the tempo of this fight, he may give that one for the pleasure as there are people who wanted him to hit that hard, but for sure after that hit he'll be in he's monster mode and be the champ as he usually do each time he enter the boxing ring. Making more entertainment means more money for him.

Just like what we've seen in the Conor fight, never was Mayweather hit that many punch, but I would say that it is all superficial. It that is professional fight, then Floyd will play defensive all night. But he want the boxing fans to have pleasure in seeing him receiving Conor's left and giving the notion that he might fall down. But Floyd is too intelligent, just want fans to get their money's worth.

Conor is a fighter, he knows how to box, got a professional license in boxing, therefore I think he can survive with Mayweather though he cannot beat him. Mayweather is just too smart and too good, him fighting a non boxer gives him an edge, just like him cherry picking his opponent to stay undefeated.
3215  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Invest in your ability to earn more. on: January 06, 2021, 11:23:48 PM
To earn income does not always have to be a crypto investor. That we can do in other business industries. But of course in any field,
to earn income, we must master the field and have the ability to survive. Because without  ability and  expertise, we  can't  produce
anything. This includes investments in the crypto industry, highly risky industries, which will lead to losses, if not careful in choosing
which assets or which coins we will invest in.

Identifying the opportunity is very important and here in crypto is identifying coin plays vital roles. As once you find which coin in future would be worth it you will start investing in it accordingly and price point here may not be the exact what you may be looking as only few would be able to buy on when it is at lowest but keep on investing during the fall becomes crucial. So find out the coin first and then regularly keep investing should be a good thing to make money with your ability.

It's not anymore necessary to invest on a lot of coins, the market is dominated by bitcoin, we can invest on bitcoin alone regardless of its price, if we can do that consistently, there's nothing to worry with our future as bitcoin is bound to succeed due to its massive adoption.

The price that we are seeing now, it's still very cheap though we are in a bull run, and of course, since it's a bull run, correction always happen and that's where we have to start thinking of buying bitcoin at dip.
3216  Economy / Economics / Re: Is bitcoin volatility here to stay? on: January 06, 2021, 10:50:30 PM
Since its launch, bitcoin has seen its price vault from $0.0008 to nearly $30,000 now. According to Forbes expert, "There are many such use cases for crypto, and we expect these to expand rapidly in the coming year."

Your information is a bit outdated, it's already at $36000 now, (http://preev.com/)

Bitcoin is almost worthless when it started trading and only few really see the potential of bitcoin in the long and they are so wealthy now.
For us who have not invested yet, it's not too late, bitcoin price is still cheap since massive adoption ins expected in the long run.

institutional investors making it looks so legit, and it resulted to this high price now.
3217  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Ethereum : Its not too late on: January 06, 2021, 12:45:57 PM
For ethreum is undoubtedly because ethreum is a long-standing coin in the market, and we can see now the price movement is getting better and this will break through the highs in 2017, if you want to make an investment now I think it can still hold the coin because the price will definitely go up again in the near future.
ETH is always next to bitcoin's success, it will never surpass bitcoin but it will always follow its success. Did we expect ETH to reached $1000 this easy? No, we didn't expect it, but look where is ETH now, so we should not doubt it, invest as much as we can especially if we are looking to hold longer.

However, if you want to buy cheap, best way is to wait for the price to dip.
3218  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: The gambler who manages to beat the casino through cheating on: January 06, 2021, 12:25:03 PM
That is a great list of very interesting people. Maybe you wan't to add Phil Ivey as well? He managed to cheat the casino out of a lot of money by memorising the layout of the cards. I haven't heard of many people who manage to cheat in a large scale playing Baccarat. In the end he had to repay the money tho as the casino went to court.

https://www.cardplayer.com/poker-news/25107-poker-legend-phil-ivey-settles-10-1-million-lawsuit-with-borgata

Casinos would know if they are cheated or not, they are expected to win most of the time and if there's abnormal results on their profitability, they'll conduct and investigation to find out the reason behind, and if someone is winning constantly, they will also check on that person.

Right now, we have cameras all over and the security is improved now, so it's hard to cheat a casino.

Those cheaters were able to abuse the casinos before, but I doubt it would happen at the current generation.
3219  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: How secure is a casino from attacks ? on: January 05, 2021, 11:40:19 AM
This is a very technical topic, casinos might not share how they secure their site but I believe they are putting the best security measures to ensure their money. I'd love to learn from here by just reading the thread, nothing I can share about security measures or other technicalities but as a gambler, I'm also interested if we can trust casinos with our funds with the measure they put in place.
3220  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: The gambler who manages to beat the casino on: January 05, 2021, 11:08:20 AM
They are or most of them are cheaters that's why they win against the casino.

Does it refers to the movie entitled 21?

I saw this movie and they use their skills in math by counting cards, yes they make money but it's still cheating.
I think there are still people who make money without cheating, but only few of them.
