Most likely because your wallet tries to avoid "address re-use". For privacy reasons, both yours and other people you transact with, it is a good idea to avoid re-using addresses. Refer: https://en.bitcoin.it/wiki/Address_reuseMost wallets, by default, will generate a new "change" address each time a transaction is generating "change". They will also generate a new "receive" address when the current one is "used". Hm, is this Bitpay changing my wallet number? haha
This is pretty normal. I believe Bitpay is a "Hierarchically Deterministic" (aka "HD") wallet. It will "display" a new receiving address every time a previous one is "used". It will also generate new "change" addresses every time it needs to create a "change" output. Note that Bitcoin addresses are NOT like bank account numbers. So, you don't have a "wallet number".

It's called "Change". In Bitcoin, you don't spend a "specific" amount... you have to spend "whole" UTXO(s). So, you likely received a payment (or created a change output) of exactly 0.11426556 BTC at some point previously. Now, you want to send 0.03 BTC, but all you have in your wallet is one UTXO of 0.11426556 BTC. So, you have to spend that whole amount... so 0.11426556 is consumed, the 0.03 is sent to the recipient, and then you get 0.08423845 BTC back as change. If you attempt to send another 0.03 BTC at this point... you'll see a transaction where the entire 0.08423845 is spent... 0.03 will go to the recipient... and you'll get ~0.054236 BTC back as "change". It's like having a $20 bill and trying to buy a beer for $3. You have to "spend" the whole $20... the store keeps the $3 and then gives you back $17 as "change". You should have the ability to lock it yourself if you want... Scroll all the way to the bottom of the page and check the bottom left corner... there should be a "lock topic" link you can click.

Do somebody got this one ?
They have now! 500 Doge for me! Answer was: "Roman Numerals"... I was fairly sure I was right, just couldn't quite work out the "two Five Hundred" part... then it clicked... he mean's "Four, Ten, Five Hundred, Five Hundred"! 4 = IV 10 = X 500 = D IV X D D => YOBITYJK3UF4N4A5 IVXF5AEAP DZHN DWZLUUFUDOGE @Miiike, I don't understand the "Stay here" part tho? Was it a reference to follow on from the previous 832 puzzle? and that it would be "numbers"? Stumbled upon this thread because I saw the word "puzzle" in the thread title... I like puzzles.

Another thing, after a block has a certain number of transaction the block is validated and inserted in the blockchain with the PoW algorithm?
No. Miners are free to pick and choose any number of transactions they would like to include in a block... up to the max block size weight limit. So, as nc50lc has said, they can include none if they want and just have the coinbase reward. However, they are incentivised to include as many as possible by being rewarded the transaction fee from each transaction they include. This is (generally) why miners prioritise transactions that pay the best fee rate... highest fee per weight. Sometimes, there just aren't many unconfirmed transactions available, so miners will generally just include everything they can to maximise their reward... other times, they have a surplus (ie. more than 1 full blocks worth), so they can pick and choose the most profitable.

btw, I think you need to change "," to "." (Here and on his ANN thread) Now it looks like they don't pay you one thousand+ BTC, purely to avoid confusion.
It's quite common in a lot of countries (predominantly within Europe, Africa and South America) to use "," as the decimal divider: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Decimal_separator#Countries_using_decimal_commaJudging by the screenshot earlier, OP is from Belarus... which uses "," Yes, it is confusing to us "decimal point" people... but using the "." would be just as confusing to the OP

What exactly happened? Fixed games? Locking account? Deposit not credited? Blocked withdrawal? You'll get more buy in from the community if you post a proper accusation, including all relevant supporting evidence, using the format outline here: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=260073.0Simply making a public accusation without any form of substance or evidence will not help your cause.

Having the signature doesn't really affect my posting habits... what really affects my posting habits is my work roster! Some weeks, I'll make like 10 posts because I'm busy working and/or too tired to look at the forum. Other weeks, I'm on standby or rostered days off and I hang out on the forum more... hell some weeks I'll end up way over the "max" number of paid posts. It's not like I say to myself "I must make X number of posts per week" to maximise revenue. I just participate as/when I feel I can... some weeks that is a lot and some weeks not so much.

But is more easy with 2 screenshots than the file itself
Yes and No... With screenshots, someone has to go through and tick box, untick box, type in numbers etc... with the file, they can use "File -> Import" and it should set everything up instantly.

Was it a script in "Programmer" mode? Or was it just settings you configured in "Advanced" mode? If it's a script, you can just copy/paste the script into a text document... if it is settings you have configured in "Advanced" mode, you should be able to use "File -> Export" and save it as "my_settings.txt" etc. I don't think that export file will save an "sensitive" info like username/password etc... But maybe open it with a text editor and check it out before you give it to anyone

Aside from some rather weak circumstantial evidence... is there actually any solid proof that PN7 is an alt of QS? At this point it seems we just have conjecture, speculation and the classic "their styles are the same"-type "proof". Anything concrete I'm missing?

Just FYI, you're about to get flooded with a lot of "Do you have any collateral?" questions. You might want to read this: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=577765.0Then, if you have some valid collateral to offer (tradeable altcoins etc), then modify your OP to reflect that. As a "newbie", with no trading history and no reputation to speak of, you're most likely going to get labelled as a potential scammer and end up with red trust for asking for a no-collateral loan... especially for one around USD~$800

Interesting. Thanks for the headsup regarding WSL import/export. I've not actually tried it as yet as I have not had the need to backup WSL and move to a new machine. Generally, I just install from fresh and start again I wonder if the "different user" thing is a result of different UID's being created in the new instance? What I do know is that you can start a WSL distro using a specified username, by using the --u or --username arguments. Refer: https://winaero.com/blog/run-wsl-linux-distro-as-specific-user-in-windows-10/Also, you might be able to change the "default user" that a distro will start up with, depending on the distro you're using. With Ubuntu, it's something like "ubuntu.exe config --default-user MYUSERNAME". But you need to figure out what distro you're running. refer: https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/wsl/user-support

Hcp you had a little logic error in your original script.
LoL... this is why I shouldn't write code before my morning coffee Thanks for the heads-up, I've modified the post. I would also suggest to use the modulus operator instead of using your own counter when you want to do a "every x" something. It's slightly fewer possibilities for errors to occur.
Yeah, that's a great idea... I always forget about using modulus... it's perfectly suited for simple situations like this!

A few days ago I became a father for a second time. Its a boy this time and...
Congratulaions iasenko... I hope mum+bub are doing well. Parenthood seems like a tough gig! Personally, I'm determined to stay "Cool Uncle HCP" forever, That way, I get to sleep and have money... and I don't have to change diapers In any case, my siblings are providing my parents with all the grand children they need!

I can't speak for others but I also would have been fine waiting until your escrow funds had been topped up.
Yeah, I am in agreement with Steamtyme on this. I do appreciate the gesture of making sure the payments went out by paying out of your own pocket, but I would have been fine waiting. Good to see that you're being upfront about it all, hopefully the ChipMixer lads throw some more money your way soon! Maybe they were busy trying to figure out what happened with the recent incident involving the guy who deleted his session.

Did you see the screenshot he posted? I'd wager that it is more than "a small couple of bytes". The entire file looks totally corrupted. Even fully encrypted Electrum wallet files still contain standard ASCII "printable" text characters. The OP's file just looks like binary data being rendered in a text editor. Similar to what you would see if you were to open a .dll or an .exe file in Notepad.
