3261  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Holding of bitcoin on: February 22, 2018, 05:48:53 PM
If you're holding then there isn't going to be a perfect time to buy or sell for you, you're just going to hold whatever you have and continue on with your life. Maybe in a couple years you'll go ahead and sell, but it makes little to no sense to ask about holding and then asking about selling bitcoin.

No one knows when it will be at the peak, nor does anyone know when the bottom is. It's the market for godsake
3262  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Which exchanges provide withdrawals to bank account ? on: February 22, 2018, 05:17:18 PM
If you are in the USA, get a Coinbase acccount, send your bitcoin to them, sell it for USD, and withdraw to your bank. (Note though that you will need to get verified before they let you withdraw).

This right here. Though you're going to have to understand that if you're going with an exchange like this you're going to have to give up some of your privacy in exchange for not paying high fees. So there is that.

I'd recommend the following exchanges - Kraken, Coinbase, Cex, and maybe bitstamp (not sure on US withdrawls for that one though) Always ensure that your bank is fine with bitcoin dealings, don't want to get shutdown over this sort of thing.
3263  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Glitch allowed traders to obtain Bitcoin free!! on: February 22, 2018, 05:09:27 PM
Kinda sad that these people got nothing out of it, though if they really wanted to go ahead and make something like this work they'd have to do it in small amounts. If you're trying to get trillions of dollars in Bitcoin it's going to of course set off some fucking red flags and nothing is going to work.

I wanna know if the exchange actually lost any amont of money from this, I'd think that'd be a yes but who knows.
3264  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Cryptopia withdrawels on: February 22, 2018, 04:46:34 PM
Never heard of something like this from any exchange, I'd recommend simply going ahead and contacting their support and giving them some time to respond. Given the amount of people who are getting into Crypto now, it's best to just give everyone some time.

Goodluck dude, hope for the best!
3265  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: How important are ICO advisors? on: February 22, 2018, 04:17:13 AM
ICO advisors, while helpful aren't something which should force people into making an investment in a company or not. Advisors can only do so much, and in most companies they're only around for someone to get a nice paycheck, plus you don't want to have too many advisors as you're just wasting capital on too many people who are doing nothing.

They're important, though but people should know that a big name isn't everything. Everyone has had their own array of failed ventures.
3266  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Ethereum chief warns cryptocurrencies could 'drop to near-zero at any time' .... on: February 22, 2018, 03:53:17 AM
Not something we didn't know, of course, cryptos can go to zero at any time, it's just like any sort of investment -- it could be worth nothing at any point in time and there's nothing that we can do about it. And  I mean this guy just got out of crypto, so his opinion is probably going to be more bearish.

Thanks for the old news about something so simple.
3267  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Legitimate News Source on: February 22, 2018, 03:41:19 AM
Big problem here is that news sources do start off as legitimate (at least some of them) and then when these sites notice that they've gained a following they're going to get a massive amount of temptation to mislead their viewers for money, its the greed that takes these sites over and changes their site from being reputable to being a fraud and a shill of whoever throws the most money at them.

It's a problem that people without greed can solve, which is VERY VERY VERY RARE.
3268  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Legendary video game company Atari is investing in cryptocurrency. on: February 22, 2018, 03:23:14 AM
Blockchain could help them to revive their company. The gaming industry has a lot of potential in the blockchain.
I would like to see them shiny like sometimes. Well, I am the fan of Pac Man Smiley

That's just not true; I can't even think of one reason for the video game industry to even want the blockchain. I can see a reason for a universal currency, but even then it's a stretch of the imagination that companies would allow for decentralized to come into their centralized market.

Atari did this to raise their own stock price. Not going to do anything for them in reality.
3269  Economy / Economics / Re: Update: Venezuelan state issued crypto to be backed by oil, gas, gold & diamond on: February 21, 2018, 08:25:41 PM
It won't help them anything. They need to let back foreign investors and get rid of the socialist regime if they want to get back on track in the next couple of years. State crypto won't do anything at this point with the socialism still going on.

This is just part of their scam, they're going to try to hop on the ICO bandwagon and get a ton of peoples money. It's something that I wouldn't doubt this communist / socialist regime would do in order to keep their machine going for a little bit longer.

Hoping for some Capitalism to hit them soon, HARD.
3270  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: training in crypto trading on: February 21, 2018, 05:39:05 PM
You are amazing, I really need the knowledge of the crypto market but I do not know who you are, and I'm not sure that the information you give is completely accurate. I'm afraid of being scammed. There are a lot of business trainers in the crypto market right now, but I still do not really trust them. Can you provide a tuition fee?

Don't go with this dudes service, he's like everyone else and he's going to tell you that he's the one that can predict the markets and he knows which coins are the best. He's a fraud, a scam, whatever you want to call him. Don't get involved with the ebook people, the trainers, the charters who will sell their secrets. No one is going to sell their methods if they have them, they could just reap the benefits themselves without you and they'd make a shit ton more.

It's good you won't trust this scam. Hope someone from DT will paint em red.
3271  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Real Market Capitalization on: February 21, 2018, 05:08:49 PM
I mean there is a case for saying that Bitcoin is worthless (market cap wise) due to the fact that there are a good chunk of coins that have probably been lost over the years. But I don't think that would really be fair, cause there is no real way of saying that coins are lost besides the fact that someone says that their coins are lost. We can't just say cause these coins haven't moved in awhile that they're lost, that's not true -- somebody could just be HODLing for a really long time.

Losing coins could also be temporary, something could come out which helps people to find their old coins, maybe they find some old papers with their keys on it, who knows.

I think this would just be a waste due to how temporary losing coins is.
3272  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: The current BTC growth seems abnormal [Late Feb 2018] on: February 21, 2018, 07:34:38 AM
People are either going to take one of two stances, they're either going to be bullish or bearish. You're going to be bearish and then pull your own data for it. Lets be real though, no one knows what this beast of a market is going to end up doing, no charter, no regular joe schmo is going to know which way the market is going to go.

The market will go up and then down, or down and then up. OR NOTHING

No one knows.
3273  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin Private fork where to store BTC on: February 21, 2018, 04:20:00 AM
From what i gathered my BTC have to be on a wallet, where i am in controll of my private key, right?

Yes.  If you leave your coins on an exchange or webwallet, it's entirely their decision whether or not they'll choose to give you the forked coins.  I've had no dealings with Binance, so I can't say if they would or not.

- But what if my BTC are on my trezor hardware wallet? There i only know my 24 seed words.

That's fine.  As long as the blockchain shows you own those coins at the time of the fork, the forked chain will automatically show the same.  Just be careful with those seed words.  If your device has any keyloggers or malware when you type them in, or if you've inadvertently installed a malicious wallet client instead of a genuine one, you could potentially lose your funds.  Scammers do take advantage of forks to defraud people.  Be incredibly security conscious if you're dealing with any large amounts you can't afford to lose.

Binance is usually pretty good at giving away forked coins, but they're only really going to do it for forks that have a good amount of a movement and publicity. I doubt that this is one of them.

I'd keep my coins in a place like electrum, or any wallet which allows YOU to have your private keys and then handle it as you have to after the fork.

Goodluck and be safe with your keys!
3274  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin value is in the proof of blockchain on: February 20, 2018, 11:37:25 PM
I mean people say this time and time again, they say that they don't like bitcoin though they do like the blockchain. But here's the thing, Bitcoin is worth an insane amount of money (market value) and it has a presence and a following at the moment. So people are going to have to give Bitcoin the necessary credit for doing what it has done to the internet, even if it isn't much, it's a big stray from the norm of only companies being able to handle online currencies (Paypal, Banks, etc)

I don't think all of the value of bitcoin comes from the blockchain though.
3275  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: There is no FUD. There is only denial. on: February 13, 2018, 01:30:53 PM
I mean I'd think a lot of the news that is coming out is bought and paid for by the big players in the that are trying to change what the sheep in the market think. There is such thing as FUD, look at all the fake news sources coming out of the big media companies to try to kill bitcoin by saying that it's banned in certain countries, while it obviously isn't true in the least.

So yes, there is FUD
3276  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Ultimate alternative to CoinMarketCap? :) on: February 13, 2018, 01:07:09 PM
CryptoCompare has all the features you're looking for, and even a nice portfolio managing system which makes it easy to calculate the amount in  taxes you're going to be owing and everything else to keep you in check with the government.

After CMC pulled that stint by pulling the Korean exchanges without any notice, I really lost a lot of respect for them and think that they're only here to push the market in different directions due to the amount of people using them.

They should've used that power for good, but they didn't -- sad.
3277  Economy / Economics / Re: Benefits of using bitcoin in global online marketing? on: February 13, 2018, 12:48:53 PM
This is where you're able to find the real benefits of Bitcoin, when your forced to compare it to traditonal international wire transfers which are expensive, slow, and such a hassle to go about using. If you go ahead and use Bitcoin, even with the tx fees which are present right now you wouldn't even scratch the service when it comes to the amount that all the banks would charge you for wiring international.

Plus the speed is MUCH QUICKER then an INTL wire, cause those take DAYS!
3278  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Deposit money don't come in wallet. Gatehub don't answer my e-mail. on: February 13, 2018, 12:41:33 PM
they are thieves, do not believe gatehub, they are deceived !!! day, the cue ball will be credited (on the course, they rent accordingly), 50 coins are taken away (for a purse and not 20), and this is 50 bucks ... instead of 292 coins bought by me, only 228 were transferred. Do not get fooled !!!
use the norms of the exchange, this bottom!

Even though I've never really delt with GateHub I do have to say a lot of the companies in the crypto space right are plagued with new people, so you're going to have cut them some slack cause they can't handle the amount of people who are using their services right now.

I'd send in another ticket, try to call a number if you can get to it and wait. That's all you can do. Worst case get some regulators / police involved from your own country.
3279  Economy / Web Wallets / Re: Does blockchain.info keeps my private key? on: February 13, 2018, 12:23:59 PM
Well they've got all of the private information you inputted when you signed up, or which they got when you signed up which is going to be email, ip, etc.  And yes they do have your private keys, nothing you can do to get around them holding them.

They've been pretty security for the past year or so, but before that there were large privacy concerns with them and hackers stealing money. If you have large sums of money don't trust an online wallet, go buy a HW.
3280  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Abu Dhabi eyes on Bitcoin Regulations on: February 13, 2018, 12:17:35 PM
Oh my god not again. If bitcoin got regulated by Abudabi it influences bitcoin fall to get it down again. And it's not at all a good news for bitcoiners.

That's just not true, any sort of news that suggests that regulations are coming is probably FUD in and of itself being used by whales to get people to buy or sell at certain prices. If a country wants to ban bitcoin or impose regulations, they'll just come up with a statement saying so. There wouldn't be anything in regard to the us laymen knowing about what the government is going to do next.

FUD!
