3321  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin upgraded my financial life on: December 30, 2021, 07:41:29 AM
So I had a great holiday season all with the help of Bitcoin I came from an underdeveloped country where the rate of unemployment is pretty high and many youths are left to do some hard jobs just to survive even graduates with University degrees have no paying jobs I got to know about this forum some months ago and since then my financial life was transformed and the Christmas happens to be my best I can now earn little money to take care of my financial needs all with the help of Bitcoin-related jobs both on this forum and off the forum. BITCOIN IS A SAVIOR

It is always amazing to hear how Bitcoin has helped someone out of a situation caused by a bad government or bad financial status. I think we should be highlighting such stories more often so more people adopt Bitcoin and take their money into their own hands, out of the hands of bad actors such as corrupt regulators or governments. I wish you a lot of happy moments with Bitcoin in the future!
3322  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Do you invest in new projects? on: December 30, 2021, 07:38:13 AM
The question of whether or not to invest in new projects really depends on a cornucopia of conditions that need to be considered beforehand. How NEW are we talking? Is the project just starting out with nothing to show? No team, no product, no whitepaper no anything? In that case, no. I would not invest in someone's newborn idea. I would at least need to see a strong team, a good business plan, an amazing whitepaper and a finished product.
3323  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Why should Gambling be legalized ? on: December 30, 2021, 07:35:21 AM
Should gambling be legalized? Not sure what you mean by that. Are you talking about legalization of gambling in a country where gambling is illegal or worldwide legalization? Because every country has different laws and in some countries, gambling is completely legal. If youre talking about legalizing it in countries where it is illegal, then I would say, sure. As long as there as measures to prevent abuse.
3324  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing]: Casimero vs Butler ordered by WBO on: December 29, 2021, 09:54:27 AM

The pressure is indeed on Casimero here. Because Inoue is just waiting for him or to whoever will challenge his position. Casimero should not screw up this upcoming fight. Otherwise, maybe even his fans will lose the appetite of supporting him. The match with Inoue has been put on hold by unexpected circumstances so if he will lose this fight, he's screwed and high likely, Inoue will look for another opponent or maybe even fight Donaire again.

What do you mean his coming fight? Isn't this match is already cancelled? And Casimero was stripped off his title for failing to show up for the weigh-in in Dubai?
That's basically because of Casimero's health declined to pursue the fight.
He shouldn't be fighting in the next 5-6 months at the very least for recovery.
This thread should've been closed already. Or did I miss something? I've heard the news about 2 weeks ago didn't realized this thread still exist.
No, the belt was not stripped, you missed the latest news regarding this particular fight.

Read the news about it so you'll get updated, the right will proceed, probably next year.

JOHN RIEL CASIMERO REMAINS WBO TITLEHOLDER, MUST FACE MANDATORY PAUL BUTLER

Nice catch! I'm sorry my bad I did missed it. So that makes sense as to why this thread remains open.
Thanks for enlightenment btw.
I didn't thought they could still pursue the mandatory fight, because that was the last time I've heard on the local tv news.

I'm looking forward for this setup for Casimero and Inoue to fight next.

Casimero is an amazing boxxer with a lot of dedication and perserverance when it comes to fighting his opponents and winning. But before we can talk about a fight of Casimero vs Inoue, we really have to wait out to see how the fight with Paul Butler turns out. Butler is no pushover and who is to say Casimero has an upperhand in this fight? I think Butler has a good chance at defeating the WBO Titleholder.
3325  Economy / Gambling / Re: Where can I sell my crypto gambling account? on: December 29, 2021, 09:50:45 AM
Where can I sell crypto gambling accounts?
I have two accounts, one is BC.GAME VIP level 30 account and the other is Betfury.io level 6 account

I would be very careful about selling any crypto gambling accounts because some of the online casinos do not look kindly on such things. If I were you, I would read the account conditions from the online casino website before attempting to do anything that may or may not get your account banned, as well as your funds frozen. It happens more than people think and I myself would not risk it.
3326  Other / Archival / Re: Is Salvadoran BTC Chivo Wallet Stealing Users' Funds? on: December 29, 2021, 09:46:15 AM
It looks like everyone is jumping to conclusion and are bashing the government (which may well be at fault) without inspecting each case to see what the real reasons were for the losses.
Look at any big centralized exchange and look at just how many hundreds or even thousands of complaints they have had from various users over the years.

I have yet to find a single centralized or decentralized exchange without at least a few people complaining about something which initially, was probably due to their own fault. I doubt there is any kind of business model without complainers.

If we see a lot of people complaining about the same thing, that becomes suspicious and worth looking into. Otherwise it's not really worth looking at. Roll Eyes
3327  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What are your altcoin predictions for the new year 2022 on: December 29, 2021, 09:42:11 AM
I think we will be seeing more and more developments with coins that directly have anything to do with decentralized finance. Good options in my eyes would probably be coins like ADA, SOL, AVAX, DOT, LUNA. I am not advising anyone to buy these coins, I just think we will see more positive developments in those areas. I myself am going all in on ADA and DOT. Dot because I see great potential in their bridging updates
3328  Economy / Gambling / Re: Self-exclusion/ban who to be blame on: December 28, 2021, 08:19:23 AM
Lots of users from this forum have come up with one complaint or the other on how their deposits were withheld by gambling sites after going on self-exclusions, but I confusion why should a user go ahead to make deposits or request for withdrawal after accounts are banned or are its part of the rules of gambling sites to allow for withdrawal from ban account.
In this situation who is to blame the gambling site or the player?

I think that in this situation, both players and websites can be blamed. Players because they should know if they are self banning themselves, they should first withdraw their money before that. Websites also should not withhold funds which do not belong to them, though. This tactic is a bit underhanded and may even be a sketchy way to profit off of the unknowing. You get what you get.
3329  Economy / Gambling / Re: Sites to play poker game on: December 28, 2021, 08:15:53 AM
First of all, welcome to the forum! I understand that finding a gambling website can be somewhat of a challenge, especially in the crypto-space. My recommendation would be to first peruse the gambling discussion and gambling sections to see what other people are saying (except the ones promoting websites - because they are being paid to promote them with their avatar and signatures).

Most gambling websites introduced here will have a good reputation though, because bad reputation on Bitcointalk will instantly be noticed with the trust system.

3330  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What's your luck rate with CMC airdrops on: December 28, 2021, 08:12:19 AM
Coinmarketcap airdrops are and always have been a very cheap marketing strategy which would barely (if at all) be worth anything for the person recieving the airdrop. If you are interested in a projects tokens, it would be better to spend your time on bounties rather than airdrops.

If you do the math on the earning potential and winning potential of CMC airdrops, you still end up making less money than if you were to do bounties or anything else, really. So don't waste your time.
3331  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: According to experts, what will be the future of cryptocurrency in 50 years on: December 28, 2021, 08:08:35 AM
I would not call any one of the people you mentioned as "Experts" in cryptocurrency. In fact, I have never even heard of those people. They are not known in the crypto space and are pretty much nobodies. All the experts you should be listening to are in this Bitcointalk forum. And they are saying that cryptocurrency is the future of money. Pretty much a unanimous voice. I choose to believe that over some guy with a fancy title. Roll Eyes
3332  Economy / Gambling / Re: How to be a bookie on: December 27, 2021, 09:11:38 AM
I am not sure why anyone here would be interested in being a bookie. In the decentralized space we are in, third parties like bookies are becoming a thing of the past, as everything pertaining to that area is being decentralized and automated. Its a bit old world. I would think the better option would be to learn what bookies do, and code something that automates that process. That would be more interesting.
3333  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: stake.com- Does not have gambling responsibility on: December 27, 2021, 09:08:17 AM
I have advised stake that i have a gambling problem in the past they have a 24 hour cooling period so if you self exclude you can

bring yourself back into the game. So for that reason on October 20st i asked eddie personally on telegram as he was my vip to ban me. Then on october 21st

Eddie says i am permanently banned self excluded. Then next week it did not become the case i was let in able to deposit and play and lose $$$.  All i am asking is to return my 2 last deposit made on my account this is not my fault you guys. One of the reason why i wanted him to ban me because i was close to being a platinum and that was a reason for me to gamble away.

( i have attached pictures as well as a post i made almost 2 years ago regarding same issue at askgamblers.com looks like they haven't improved at all)

So you asked them to ban you but they did not ban you and you went ahead and put more money in and lost that money? I am no lawyer and I do not give any kind of law advice but it seems to me that you told them you have a gambling addiction which they willfully ignored and tempted you into losing more money by not banning you like they said they would. That does not seem like a good or fair thing to do.
3334  Economy / Economics / Re: U.S. Contemplating Isolating Russia from SWIFT Banking System on: December 27, 2021, 08:50:15 AM
The only real problem happening right now which is causing these tensions is America running out of money and they now need to start a war somewhere, with someone. Or at least make people believe there will be a war so that they can more easily sell weapons. Russia is not a fool and knows this. Thats why Russia is not reacting the way that America hoped they would.

Even if in Russia SWIFT Banking is isolated that will only give rise to new banking systems or stronger China/Russia relationships by fortifying with China's own banking systems
3335  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing]: Thurman vs Barrios - Feb 5 on: December 26, 2021, 08:52:07 AM
Thurman being a cocky boxer who always underestimating his opponents is a reason that he is very prone to losing all of the time no matter how much training he had for an upcoming fight, just like what happened to his fight with Manny Pacquiao. I would bet for Barrios because he is more calm and focus when he is fighting, no throwing any attitude while fighting, just pure sportsmanship.

Boxers who underestimate their opponents usually lose in the end. Most of the time, the quiet and humble boxers are more prepared and have stronger stamina. I'm sure that Thurman will get surprised by Barios' determination. I would also bet on Barios because I could see a huge potential in him.

I can fully agree with that assessment. Throughout the years its really been the cocky professional boxxers who lost big time whenever they let up due to how they the misunderestimated their opponent. I would not be too keen on betting on Thurman just for that reason. Boxxing has a lot to do with mental strength of will and ego really pushes that will down, ending up in an embarressing loss.
3336  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Stake.com & responsible gambling? on: December 26, 2021, 08:46:44 AM
Dear fellow users,

Let me explain the situation im in with Stake.com,
I am a recovering gambling addict with an account at Stake due to problem gambling.

This account has been closed for a long time and they still kept spamming me with promotional and bonus emails, even though they were fully aware of my problems.

I have contacted live support and the legal department, and they have admitted their was a error in their database allowing to send promotional emails to problem gamblers, they have let me know they have fixed it after my messages.

Unfortunately Stake is not taking any responsibility regarding my issue and will blame me for their mistakes.

I hope there is someone noticing the pain Stake is causing to some of the problem gamblers out there, and I still hope Stake will solve this issue with me.

If you unsubscribed from their E-Mails and they kept sending you those unwanted E-Mails AND they even admitted their mistake then you have a case in court because they may have broken anti-spam laws as well as tormenting you. I would think. I would seek advise from a lawyer to confirm that suspicion, though. I would definitely be angry if that happened to me. They don't really seem to care about taking responsibility for their mistakes... Angry
3337  Economy / Gambling / Re: 🦉Owl.games🦉Sportsbook & Crypto Casino For Web 3.0 - BTC-Metamask-Walletconnect on: December 26, 2021, 08:42:01 AM
hey, bering!

we have no welcome bonus right now. but we are thinking to make something special for bitcointalk user, stay tuned.

btw ~$200k was won by one player which is 4000x multiplier!

Wow 200k USD has been won by a single player? That is amazing. I really like the owlgames website, seems like something a bit more fresh and much more thought out than normal gambling sites that I have seen until now. Can't wait to see new owl original games to come out, other than only the one dice game currently. I will be following the development of this casino with excitement!
3338  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Ripple makes a $1 price bull set for 2022 on: December 26, 2021, 08:37:30 AM
If not for the unfortunate lawsuit against ripple by now xrp will be over $1,
The lawsuit has made the price to stagnant while other projects constantly hitting new ath in 2021, hopefully, 2022 will be better for ripple assuming the case will be resolved.

I agree, ripple has been given way too much flak from the SEC and that has greatly reduced investor interest. I think ripple should sue the SEC (if possible) because that kind of
bad reputation was not well deserved and has cost ripple a lot of time and investments. We could have been much further today than we are now, with xrp. A lot of potential has been wasted.

But on the bright side, I do see a lot of potential for buying ripple while it is cheap.  Grin
3339  Economy / Economics / Re: Did you realize in real life how Bitcoin gave us financial freedom? on: December 26, 2021, 08:32:51 AM
Bitcoin gave us a future of DeFi. Decentralised Finance is really the key term here. The next step would be to stop using centralised exchanges and find better ways to keep Bitcoin more private, as well as using the newest Taproot update to its full potential to bring Defi to Bitcoin. No more middlemen, no more unwanted regulations or restrictions. Your keys, your coins. Just as the plan has always been.
