3321  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: La Liga (Spanish League) Prediction Thread 2020/21 on: April 08, 2022, 06:30:40 AM
The opportunity is indeed big for Sevilla, at least they can take the position that Barcelona took for a while. But I think at the weekend they will return to their current position, 4th position. Because Barcelona will also play a fairly easy match.
For Villarreal they played surprisingly able to beat Bayern Munich in the Champions League, this they have to maintain.
I do not think that it would matter, I mean Sevilla could win and takeover for extra day or two, but Barcelona will be playing against Levante, which is basically at the bottom of the league right now. I am not saying that a shock is impossible, we have seen those games before, but it is quite unlikely.

It means that Barcelona will most probably end up winning and that will result with Sevilla being at second spot only for a brief moment before the weekends again. I believe that from now on out, sevilla should consider third being the best they could do this year, if they become second somehow that would be awesome for them, but if they won't, that is not terrible neither.
3322  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Are we going to see a new altcoin boom soon on: April 07, 2022, 08:28:09 PM
Altcoin boom doesn't 100% have to be related to bitcoin going down. People keep thinking that when bitcoin stops going up, and starts going down, it is time for altcoins to go up as well. Reality is that when bitcoin goes up, altcoins go up when bitcoin goes down, altcoins go down. That is usually what happens, sure the alt season happens a bit after btc reaches its ATH so that alts could reach their ATH as well.

At the same time, it is not really a period where we reached ATH did we? Which means that we are not there yet, it is more like all together move where it is all up or it's all down and not individually moving around. Movements are connected very heavily.

You will really not understand if you are not a competitive person. I’m a MMORPG and MOBA game lover so I usually has a mindset to compete and climb the rank just for fame without any reward in exchange.  I carry this mindset in gambling because I don't just gamble for money but rather to relieve my stress from running my business . I love blackjack game because I can play with other player with same table at the same time. I developed this kind of mindset to compete with others whenever there’s a rank system on the things I’m playing for my self satisfaction purposes only. I don’t know if anyone here think the same but I will be happy to know if I’m not the only one think this way.  Cheesy
In terms of video games yes I like to grind at the top of the ranks, more if you can connect your social media accounts in the game and then you will your friends rank. You will have that urge to compete with them but when it comes to gambling, I don't know why I can't be competitive maybe because gambling involves money? and I am not fortunate enough to have a better wealth as when compared to other gamblers that can dedicate more money.

Another thing that makes me discourage is in gambling you cant see your friends locally, on the leader board. Afaik, no gambling sites have a social media integration (the same on most online games) but you can only share your bets i.d.
3324  Economy / Gambling / Re: Rollbit.com | Crypto's Most Rewarding Casino 👑 on: April 07, 2022, 04:13:23 PM
It depends. From our point of view, "big amounts" are when someone gambles away 1 BTC, for example. However, if we look back a bit further, it was quite normal for standard bets to be made with 1 BTC. For someone who owns 100 BTC or more, not much has changed from then: 1 BTC is still 1 BTC, hardly anyone converts that into dollars but it is about increasing their BTC holdings.
Yeah people having good amount of bitcoins at this time also won't care betting such big amounts and in the past when it was having very less value i have seen such bets been placed also.If we look back then faucet was giving away 5 bitcoins,Vitalik writing up articles and buying t-shirts for 8 btc or losers getting paid in btc for one competition but see now lot has changed but 1BTC=1BTC although the amount has totally changed. So we should bet with what we can and enjoy our own game.
I am sure that those days you are talking about was like first 2 years of bitcoin give or take. I have been here since late 2012 and I can say that faucets were giving like 10k satoshi give or take, the max I remember was 30k satoshi at the time. This doesn't mean that it was a small amount, 30k satoshi today worths so much for a faucet but it wasn't like 5 bitcoins levels, that was only in the very very early days.

I do however agree that we all wagered few bitcoins at a time. I remember wagering 2+ bitcoins away and now considering the same thing, that would have been enough to buy a small house at the ATH price for example, definitely a small amount at those days, such a huge one right now.
3325  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Bear vs Bull : The Beauty Of Cryptocurrency on: April 07, 2022, 10:50:12 AM
I think the better term is "smart investors" - those who buy in the dip, keep it in their wallet, secure and continue to accumulate throughout the bear market and then sell in the bull run to make a huge returns.
Don't know, probably, but I've always seen the term smart investors as a sort of banking marketing term for people who're too rich to be actually making any real decisions themselves, and just leaving it to someone else they've paid to make decisions for them.

If DCA is the smart investor thing to do in Bitcoin, then I guess that makes me smart? Until the time it doesn't work (hopefully never).
Brokers are getting a bit more micromanagement these days so that they could keep getting paid. There is a whole financial world where people give their money to someone and hope that it would grow. This is a trillion dollar market really and people with billions invest their money with these people and expect a good return.

Unfortunately, that is not something that can go on forever, eventually people lose, and those investors gets mad about it as well. I have to say it is not really a big deal to invest your own money, you can do it and retail investors started to see that which means brokers need to come up with marketing terms like "smart investor" to gain attention.
3326  Economy / Gambling / Re: Sign Up Bonuses on: April 07, 2022, 09:22:08 AM
But is the OP just after the signup bonus after getting it and then not playing anymore?
It doesn't make sense if he wants it like that, you can't get without playing it, I mean you can't withdraw that bonus unless you play it, and profit. Well, its all depends on casino's term. But it usually like that to avoid being abused.
I think what he meant is that after the OP gets the bonus, he will not deposit and play on the casino anymore. Yes bonus requires a play and I believe the OP knows that already but he don't know if which are the casinos that have them. If a casino give a sign up bonus without any requirement and everyone can withdraw it instantly, that will look like they are giving away a free money.

Bonus usually comes at small sizes and even if there aren't any requirements, the player cant still withdraw it because each casino has there own minimum withdraw. He will still be forced to use this amount but he will likely bust before he reached that minimum withdraw.
3327  Economy / Gambling / Re: Stake.com - 🦉 DRAKE x STAKE 🥩 - Watford FC & UFC Partner ⚽ 🥊 on: April 06, 2022, 08:14:25 PM
He won't, that is his basically attachment to the world right now. We are all living very individualistic lives these days, we do not feel part of a community like back in the day. In the 90's there were understandings of "neighborhood" or whatever, or just a community that you felt you belong to.

These days, especially younger people didn't live those days, that was until 90's and so forth, after 2000+ it became a bit more but since we remembered old days we were still fine, so the younger ones who didn't live those days have this problem. So, what do they do? They find communities online, and either be part of them or be against them very much. That is how they feel like they can attach themselves to the world.
You basically explained what a troll is and why they do it. Good explanation but doesn't mean that what they are doing is acceptable. In other news, Stake has been getting a lot more attention from other crypto sources, have you realized that? The drake news turned stake from just another crypto casino into some big business that everyone around the world heard about. I mean drake being involved in crypto itself is a good news, being part of a company is even bigger news.

I have seen the name stake in more places right now than I have seen it for the past years since it was created. Quite good news for both here, and overall crypto as well.
3328  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Worst exchange you experience for trading on: April 06, 2022, 06:22:32 PM
I've done it before only because I was participating in an altcoin signature campaign at the time and the only way to convert them to bitcoins was by using a less popular exchange.

Other reasons for traders to use another exchange is due to lower requirements like charging smaller fees knowing most of the big exchanges charge a lot when it comes to bitcoin withdrawals. Even though altcoin remains an option there are traders who prefer to cash out their money in bitcoin.
I had to go through that type of deal back in the day a lot. People may not remember this, but back in the day when a new coin came out, it wasn't listed anywhere at all, we didn't had the luxury that people have today. So for a long time, we exchanged based on trust right here on bitcointalk.

This resulted with a ton of scams of course but it wasn't this global neither so there were few of us and anyone who scammed someone went away and you learned to trade with only high membership people. Long story short, the moment it got listed somewhere, we all went and opened an account in that one, most of those exchanges are gone now, but the memories are still there and cherished.
3329  Economy / Economics / Re: Ukraine VS Russia. Ideological or Economical conflict? on: April 06, 2022, 09:04:22 AM
There are many quite correct, "scientific" explanations given here. I will add one more. Another key reason is FEAR! Putin's fear! Putin's fear that the 2014 revolution, and indeed the behavior of Ukrainians in general, will be adopted by the population of Russia. And this means the destruction of the slave model of building a state. This means the loss of absolute power. This means the emergence of self-consciousness of the people. This means the impossibility of usurpation of power, media, resources, wealth.. This means that you can't do anything with impunity, it means you can't play God!!! And that's what he really fears. NATO security is all fakes and fabrications. The Baltic countries have been in NATO for a long time. For a long time, all the countries of the former Warsaw Pact in NATO. But NATO never attacked Russia and never even prevented Russia from creating terror wherever they wanted!!!
That fear is not just from Putin, it is from the nukes they have. Remove all the nukes from the equation and you will see that west would not hesitate to attack Russia in a single day. Without nukes, Russia doesn't have even remotely close numbers as Nato has in military, USA alone would be able to beat Russia without breaking a sweat.

You may think that "but USA had so much trouble even in Iraq" but that is exactly what happens after a while, you can't take over a nation, you can only beat them and leave. Russia would be in crumbles, many people dead, government changed, but then USA can't stay there and would have to leave, exactly same would have happened. But since Russia have nukes, that would destroy every single possibility of attacking them.
3330  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Don't Be Under Pressure To act (Altcoin) on: April 06, 2022, 08:26:48 AM
I do agree that we shouldn't really be focusing on anything that is too out of ordinary, just focus on getting more of a big name coin and you should be doing fine. I am not saying that it should take longer than that, all I am saying is that we shouldn't really be losing too much hope by investing into low cap stuff and then lose money.

Get the big names, and then keep on accumulating when it is going down and keep doing that until you profit enough for your taste and if you want to go out, then you could go out that way. It is not a terrible method, but it is not a great one neither, it will allow you to do "decent" and that is good enough for most newbies.
3331  Economy / Gambling / Re: 🔥Sportbook and Casino: BITSLER > $12,500 Daily Wagering contest < on: April 05, 2022, 07:03:58 PM
The daily coupon is really a great addition. I just claimed the daily coupon of 4th April. The amount isn't big, but that's better than nothing. However, I have received an email about the monthly bonus on 2nd April and claimed the bonus by following the link. Maybe this is the first time Bitsler has sent an email with the monthly bonus link. It will be great if Bitsler team send email about the monthly bonus in each month.
That is how you know you are in a good casino. When they actually listen to the feedback of the people and do something regarding that topic. I am not saying that there are none other out there, of course there are some and that makes sense but at the same time we are talking about something that is a bit more personalized here, because it is also here on bitcointalk as well where we can feel like we are getting heard at the very least.

All in all I have to say it wasn't something that I really rooted for, not that it's bad, but wasn't my priority, but even I do feel special after this because now I know that I can write my feedback here and it will be heard.
3332  Economy / Gambling / Re: FORTUNEJACK.COM |Deposit 777 play with 1777 mBTC |Live Casino, Slots, Betting on: April 05, 2022, 04:34:47 PM
I have been keeping away from slots for many years, but my wife got into it pretty badly and she has been gambling for a long time. She is going through some family stuff and I have to say slots have been the only thing she could find some solace at all and have a bit of fun. She doesn't spend a lot, I am the one who puts money into her account and I have to say she became better at it because she hasn't requested too much money from me in a long time. Must mean that she must be winning something. But it doesn't change the fact that it became a bit of an "escapist addiction" for her.
Lol, this is true. Slots are the most addictive of the games because it is so simple and yet have so much fun. I am guessing that the anticipation of waiting for that last one to drop, to see if you won something or not on the screen with an animation is the thing that makes it so much more fun than any other game.

Dice is fun, plinko has that anticipation, but none of them come close to slots at all. It is like a drug when you start gambling at slots and can't stop, it feels like you are doing something that is wildly entertaining and at the same time it is not quite that bad neither, it is quite entertaining even while losing which makes it a unique thing in gambling.
3333  Economy / Speculation / Re: Is Bitcoin the best investment at the moment? on: April 05, 2022, 11:32:05 AM
I have to say the "best" is a different concept when we are talking about investment. I mean it depends on what you are looking for, if you are looking to get rich overnight, invest into very low cap gems that you think could do 100x if one whale picks it up and hope for it and wait.

If you are looking to hedge yourself against inflation then bitcoin and gold are both fine, if you want to gain in fiat and do not trust crypto, then stocks is both faster than gold, but also riskier at the same time. All of these have different versions in itself as well, like stocks have blue chips and pink sheets, or crypto has top ones or low caps, etc etc. It all depends what you want.
3334  Economy / Gambling / Re: Duelbits.com | Casino & Sportsbook |250k$ Easter giveaway | VIP | on: April 05, 2022, 09:30:33 AM
by making a deposit of $50, you probably will be able to wager $100 and thus get a ticket to participate in the draw on April 18th (read part about $100,000 Prize Draw).
You do not even consider how much you could make with that, I mean you could wager like a grand with it. I know it because for the past 5 years or so I put 50 bucks aside every month and wager with it. I could have saved that and invested into bitcoin and I would have a TON of money by now Cheesy.

But, I am fine with it because it is my hobby and everyone needs one. I wagered at most 15k with it in a month, because I ended up winning back to back a few times, it is small amounts that I wager, so it was a few huge wins and then it just kept going even though I lost because I had a lot. I turned that 50 dollars into basically 400 dollars total and then to zero but took me 15k wagered. That is highest though, lowest has been probably like 250-300 bucks too, so 100 is easily achievable even for beginners.
3335  Economy / Gambling / Re: Rollbit.com | Crypto's Most Rewarding Casino 👑 on: April 05, 2022, 08:48:19 AM
I agree that it is an investment, but it is a very risky investment if the person did not buy in the first few days
Investment has risk inside and if you don't accept risk, are not ready to take risk, let's skip investment and hold your money. The pain people (investors) experience is they only or mainly think of opportunity, potential and profit. They are too naively by skipping risk because they don't like to mention about risk for their investment or they are real newbies who don't see risk at all.
Investment of all kinds have risk, but the point here is that you have a bigger one if you bought later on. I do not agree with this, at some point it was cheaper than some people who bought and was whitelisted right? Then when it wasn't sold out, it got cheaper and open for everyone and that is how it got more profitable, if I am not wrong it was 2k a piece when it first given to whitelisted people?

Maybe I am wrong but I feel like the "its riskier to buy later" is not a good approach. If that is the case on how you approach all NFT's then you will end up missing chances on many, because you were late, and get into many that are bad and goes down after the release.
3336  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Italian League Prediction Thread (Serie A) on: April 05, 2022, 06:53:53 AM
Have you guys checked the result of the match (AC Milan vs Bologna)? AC Milan 0-0 Bologna.
The result is quite surprising, still can't believe AC Milan got a draw and collected 1 point only. I mean the point in this match is crucial, Milan must get full points to secure their position in 1st place. Moreover, it is the home match, they must have more motivation to play aggressively. If we look at the stats, they actually made 33 shots, it is a very big number of shot attempts. But sadly, their accuracy is very poor, no single goal was made during the match. Dominating the match seems useless if only get a draw.
It's disappointing to see the results of the AC Milan vs Bologna match. Very many people predict that they will be easy when hosting Bologna. But the results we see are not so. It was an unexpected result, they got the easiest opponent this week compared to their competitors, but instead they got a result which I think is bad. They missed the opportunity to keep their distance from the champion candidates.
We can expect results like this from soccer matches as now any team can give shock, so today same happen against AC Milan at home even they were completely domination in this match and have some good number of shots at goal, but sadly they fail to have any goal and match in a goalless draw which is very helpful for inter which is already won against Juventus and now can give some good and tough time to city rival for title hopes with they are defending their title in this season.

Napoli is now also having some good chance as they are also improving their performance and have just one point different from leaders but some good number of goals difference can bring them to third spot. Just seven matches remaining in this season and three teams are fighting hard for title race it's amazing from these top teams with Juventus is now surely out of title race.
3337  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Germany League - Bundesliga Prediction Thread on: April 04, 2022, 09:28:25 PM
I am not so sure that Lewa would be a great striker for 4 more years. Plus they just recently got aubameyang and he is young enough to still be considered for the next seasons, if you get lewa, then how do you play them at the same time? That would be a big problem for them.

I believe that he will stay in Bayern until he retires and I want to believe that. Just because I want to believe he will stay, doesn't mean he will, but as a non-German who doesn't support any team (in fact would rather see a new champion finally) lewa is just too much connected with Bayern in my mind, not even dortmund would make sense to me, he should play like another 4 seasons or whatever he wants to and then retire there.
3338  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2021/2022 on: April 04, 2022, 08:10:25 PM
I see the head to head arsenal and palace is quite surprising;

Quote
19/10/2021 Arsenal 2-2 Palace (English League)
20/05/2021 Palace 1-3 Arsenal (Premier League)
15/01/2021 Arsenal 0-0 Palace (English League)
11/01/2020 Palace 1-1 Arsenal (English League)
27/10/2019 Arsenal 2-2 Palace (English League).

I don't know if there will be a big surprise in their match this time! if it will end in a "draw" again!
We all know about Crystal Palace as they are one off unpredictable teams in Premier League and history is not favoring them for this match but as we are heading for end of first half they are leading by 2 - 0 which is surprising result for me.

Arsenal is playing very good, but sadly they fail to have any solid attack, so Crystal Palace is doing some good now with this score most chances they are going to have full three points even it's not easy but for me now Arsenal is out of this match with this lost now their competition is also going to be very tough for fourth spot in Premier League against Tottenham and Manchester United because currently these three teams have fair enough chance for this spot and Arsenal was here with some advantage but now with this lost they are going to be on level, and It's going to be very interested for end of this season.
3339  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Goodbye, privacy, goodbye, it was nice while it lasted. on: April 04, 2022, 05:44:22 PM
We have to realize that IRS is not responsible for all the trouble we are going through, neither is the person who would go through thousands of papers, a pallet of papers really. That is not responsibility of the person who is working on it.

This is like going to some Sony retail store and making life miserable for some worker there, the CEO of Sony would not even know you exist, they wouldn't care about who you are and what you do, they do not know about their own workers neither, they won't mind and you can do that forever and it would not change their life. It would be the retail worker whose life you are screwing.

Same here, whoever is hired to do that job, go through a pallet of papers, would hate you, but the ones who put the law there wouldn't even care, they wouldn't even be aware that a problem like this exists so it doesn't change anything at all.
3340  Economy / Economics / Re: Russia considers accepting Bitcoin for oil and gas on: April 04, 2022, 04:52:50 PM
I guess this could mean a bullishness for crypto market If Russia decides to accept just Bitcoin for those countries who has heavily sanctioned them. But, no Russia will still prefer to let them pay with Roubles for them to recover for their own currency.
So, most probably Bitcoin is not the priority here, just an alternative payment.
It will always going to be the Roubles.
Russia however felt the effect of heavy economic sanctions so I guess they are testing options to recover economically.
There is a post here last time which states that Russia will revert to accept rubles and not bitcoin. We should not worry anymore for btc. Every country prioritize their fiat currency because it was their own while btc is only just an adopted. El Salvador that already made btc as a legal tender still have their fiat and I think they still prioritize it over bitcoins.

The sanctions given in Russia are too much so obviously they will feel its effect. They are strong but not strong enough to endure the pain or the effects of this sanctions. We ask if what will Russia do their bitcoins? But, we don't ask our selves the same question. Of course, we will all sell it for a profit because no one holds their btc forever. It can trigger a bear but bulls will always find its way again.
