3341  Other / Off-topic / Re: Facebook Messenger App for iOS Gains Money Transfer Feature on: March 17, 2015, 09:25:56 PM
Why? Why, is the question... I don't see how can this be more useful than a normal bank transaction. Sure, it's "just a tap". But who's trusting their money to Facebook just for the sake of being "just a tap" and the damn thing still take a few days to transact? I'd probably send money to Mt. Gox faster lol.

And about not implementing Bitcoin... Not even going to comment on that. It would be amazing win for them, but no Smiley
3342  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: [ANN] Clef is secure two-factor authentication with no passwords or tokens on: March 17, 2015, 09:16:22 PM
Any big sites coming up?

It would be cool to widespread Clef not only to Bitcoin related websites and wallets, but also to more general, mainstream sites, like social media. And if you guys get mainstream sites, you'll get all the other easily.

3rd party integration doesn't cut it...
3343  Bitcoin / Wallet software / Re: Apple approves Bitcoin Wallet app - bitWallet. on: March 17, 2015, 08:44:35 PM
Is the source available for this?

No, unfortunately they don't provide it, as I've read.
3344  Bitcoin / Press / Re: [2015-03-17] AllCrypt Bitcoin Exchange Hacked, Over 40 BTC In Funds Stolen on: March 17, 2015, 08:34:27 PM
Another one?!? And wasn't this exchange closing down? Fortunately they didn't have as many funds as the other exchanges.

As for stealing vs stolen... The coins might have been stolen by a 3rd party, you never know. But with all these hacking episodes...
3345  Bitcoin / Press / Re: 3-16-15. CD: Bitcoin satellites in 2016 on: March 17, 2015, 11:50:51 AM
Similar has already been posted https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=987605.0

I think this an amazing invention. If they can make satellites communicate fast enough with our connections to relay the blockchain... This is amazing Smiley One step further in immortalising the blockchain.

3351  Bitcoin / Press / Re: [2015-03-16] Victorian government to sell $9.3 million in seized bitcoins on: March 16, 2015, 06:00:01 PM
More, beyond the USA auctions? I wonder how markets will take a hit from all these coins distributed in one go... Hope it sells above market price.

Beyond that, it's a good opportunity to buy coins, in big quantity and safely outside exchanges... There will always be buyers Smiley
3352  Bitcoin / Press / Re: [2015-03-16] NewsBTC: Botswana Gets First Bitcoin ATM at CoinFest Africa on: March 16, 2015, 01:09:00 PM
Amazing news. As I've been saying in the last threads, African people really need these kinds of services as it is very difficult for emigrants to send their money to their home countries. Too bad that the ATM is only 1 way... But it's a start and it cost them 0 Smiley

Nice survey. When I saw 7 pages I thought it was going to be boring, haha, but that's not the case. Nice questions, looking forward to the results and for the drawing!

This was already posted here https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=981833.0

My question on that thread still remains. I don't really see how they're going to control medicine with this.

This article also adds that they're going to have their own blockchain... This doesn't seem very good as far as trustless systems go. Let's see where this ends up.
