341  Economy / Speculation / Re: I believe Bitcoin will surge to new heights after this dip on: May 18, 2024, 11:07:48 PM
Its a fair estimate if we have many attempts to sell that fail we are due to test the highs. That is what is occuring right now and if we dont surpass 70k properly its going to loop around once again.  The difference this time is we have made a new high on the weekly bars after declining for a couple months in a row quite clearly a low high each time; a sequence break is significant and can lead to a new paradigm.   So this week is different but my greater  hope is it leads to greater things.

I would not assume much higher until we both pass 70k and prove it to be a new low that people buy at not sell as this has been the case since February.
342  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Marketplace (Altcoins) / Re: Lucifur media- Free signatures, banners, logo, visual content [ price @ $5 ] on: May 18, 2024, 08:51:20 PM
I like your creative work I've seen, I want one of those designs for a night light with its depth of design.   Anyhow this thread deserves a further mention if you are still offering work and I gave a couple merit if thats helpful, nice work Smiley

The original meaning of lucifur is bringer of light or star, fitting then I guess.
343  Economy / Economics / Re: I need my lambo now and manson and yahct life too short lets do it on: May 18, 2024, 07:54:18 PM
How is this economics, the business of a country is not your luxury goods.   In fact none of what you mention is productive so the correct board for you is speculators, you want the quick buck in 2 weeks or so.

Quite possible to get the fast money returns if you have the skill, luck and leverage.   But why should it be you over a million or billion other possible candidates.  Just another spoilt ignorant modern citizen who knows nothing beyond what they want nor where or how their luxury goods were made.   At least become a salesman if you cannot make it, know all the exact details of what you want and that can be useful in recall.

This part is relevant to economics because its consumerism, the failure of the modern age and why the richest countries now might fail to maintain their position in future.   If you understand the process of change then you have some basis to speculate on and possibly profit, if you understand nothing then pick another game.
344  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Losing all your fortune with just 3 years on: May 18, 2024, 06:16:06 PM
Both alcohol addiction and even gambling can be considered an illness which does seem to indicate he has some leverage in his court case to argue his poor health and unsuitability to gamble.

I would expect a settlement of some kind to occur, you could even consider it some form of cashback or return on his losses.  Casino already sometime give back bonuses on that basis so they might be more amiable then first appears.

Obviously somebody is advising Terrance and giving legal representation.   If he is broke they are taking a cut of whatever earnings from the court case come forward so they are confident in being paid, I expect some payment tbh.
345  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Concerns grow over online gambling among teens on: May 18, 2024, 04:45:41 PM
Smartest way to cut actual gambling while young but also while an adult is education primarily maths.   If you know the maths to compare and contrast every gambling game, every bet for its value and validity then you are going to be far safer then relying on the law and regulations to put everything behind safety tape for you.

Telling people what they can and cant do is not the most effective method, it makes people believe the game is more attractive and forbidden, we cant even inform people of cancer and smoking and its been decades of solid research.   Make everything as transparent as possible and you have an obvious cause and effect, endless laws can cover things up & it can be quite ironic.
346  Economy / Speculation / Re: another ATH , 71k and still climbing. on: May 18, 2024, 02:20:45 PM
100k is just a round number, I think of that figure like I might 75k its in the area now but less of a big deal then when we were stuck in the teens looking up at these prices.

When BTC breaks free of these old prices and volume from years ago it should go much further then just another 25k.  Thats been the dynamic previously that unimpeded by historic volume the pricing rose far more easily then expected.

No doubt people find a magical resonance about 100k but every price in every country is slightly different, dollar is most common but not the only price.   In any case Dollar has altered over time alot, its not a fixed standard or worth and inflation only reflects dollar's constant decline.
347  Economy / Speculation / Re: LAST CHANCE TO BUY BITCOIN..... on: May 18, 2024, 02:08:06 AM
I remember this phrase for sub 10k BTC and that day did happen though I forget which day was the exact last day.   People said that for years though, expecting 10k never to occur again partly because we had exceeded it but we returned many times despite expectations.  I do agree we can leave this price range behind but I think the first attempt to leave orbit is rarely the success expected, it happens more gradually and we eventually leave behind that price after many attempts.

The old ATH price in this area is probably going to be a feature for this and maybe also next year even the year after in some way this price remains relevant.    I would like it to be the lowest price so ATH becomes the lowest we see, that'd be my most optimistic view.  I dont think we are going straight up never to return, BTC is more volatile then that consistent movement.  It explodes then it comes back down, we do hope gradually we gain over years but it seems to take quite a while to occur in eccentric erratic elongated patterns.
348  Economy / Economics / Re: Insurance is important on: May 17, 2024, 11:59:39 PM
Insurance is vital , important for trade also for unknown outcomes and a form of escrow to some extent.  Financial services in general are part of a healthy economy or else trade is restricted and the country overall is worse off every day.  It cant be understated how important insurance is, in theory you can always self insure and cover your own losses but in most cases this isnt especially feasible and even if it were the oldest capital richest families or similar arrangements would have all the advantage over others regardless of product innovation, it would be a negative world to have no insurance.
349  Economy / Speculation / Re: Will BTC hit 1M ? on: May 17, 2024, 11:29:28 PM
If you want to be this optimistic then you should be watching now for the positive moves possible in the next days and weeks. It cant falter it must cross the line and keep going to get any target greatly higher then nearby.

Heres the rough idea of a recent downtrend, breaking this could release a big move upwards.  It could also be small and extinguished easily and fast.  The difference is notable and important just as an indicator for larger ideas such as six or more figures in the price.   The actual gains we get are nothing at all compared to the larger move.

Just daily bars here.  If we dont exceed 70k with furious anger then its simple that we will repeat.  I keep thinking we will do little or nothing this whole summer and just moving upwards recently doesnt disprove this but an extended period of positive pricing that does not hesitate is worth noting for its wider implications.  Expect to be disappointed but hope we aint is my hope.
350  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambler avoiding friends after a big win. on: May 17, 2024, 10:44:22 PM
If you have a big win then pay off your house mortgage and just in a smaller way you will be richer every month over years.   You wont have this pressure to decide who is the Judas in a group of 12, who wants this terrible decision in their life when they should be happy.  Nobody wants that, just do the most sensible thing and you will be living rent free with a house free and clear you cannot then lose you are a free man compared to most wage slaves.

It sounds boring but its far more exciting to me minus any worry of being seen as a cash cow to pay out every time there is the drinks to pay for.   Just a bit richer every week every month means you can get a nice sports car with the excess cash financed and it will still be sensible more or less.  People who are poor dont have the experience with money, its the first mistake we'd all make due to inexperience best avoided imo.

Its a very common story, the OP story the man won cash and lost friends and his net gain is negative now he is alone with nobody close to share it with Iam sad for him.
351  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Concerns grow over online gambling among teens on: May 17, 2024, 04:15:35 PM
Biggest threat to teens for gambling is via games which have loot box type gambling built into the game surreptitiously.  Its definetly gambling but has no fixed monetary assigned value and you always win at least a low value prize of some kind, in effect people are trying to gamble for the highest amount win like a roulette wheel.

This in game gambling is within some of the largest game titles sold globally and targets teens and pre teens age ranges with gambling for advantage of some kind in the game.   Its very lucrative earns billions and is a massive part of the industry now.

If you ever wonder why there is so many free games of top quality its because of this kind of micro charges transaction within the games.   Personally I benefited from it because I already am aware of gambling, I can recognize it all but a very young child will easily be taken advantage of so its wrong to that extent.   This is definitely going to be part of the story mentioned by OP.
352  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Jake Paul to Fight Mike Tyson in Live Netflix Boxing Event - July 20 on: May 17, 2024, 03:12:07 PM
Considering how much money is at stake in the fight, saying random erratic things is really not a good idea.   Not sure that helps him and 16 is considered a child in USA laws in all respects so its totally inappropriate to even joke or taunt somebody in that way.   Bad for promoters, sponsorship, advertising and regulators I'd guess not smart.

As far as the fight goes that makes me think anything can happen at this point because apparently they are off the rails in terms of following rules or set script especially.   Maybe its a one off or we'll see a crescendo of chaos.

I did think it ironic that Tyson Fury is also fighting right now.  His opinion is basically as I was expecting:
Quote
"If Mike Tyson hits anybody, I don’t care if he’s 90, he’s going to knock them out cold isn’t he?" he told the MMA Hour ahead of his upcoming undisputed fight with Oleksandr Usyk on May 18,

"He’s Iron Mike Tyson, the baddest man on the planet. Jake Paul is very experienced now and he's had a lot of fights but obviously, I have to back Mike Tyson for the knockout as he always backs me."
Could be this is all standard noise for a pre fight I guess.

353  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Rich or poor gambler, who should risk more? on: May 16, 2024, 08:40:57 PM
The default answer to this question is the poorest gamblers will always be risking the most purely because they have no leeway or spare cash to spend.   A rich man who loses his lunch money doesnt have to care, maybe he skips the next restaurant 4 course at most and since he already ate so well every single day non stop its probably done him more good then harm to lose.

If you have no spare cash at all, properly poor then you really shouldn't be gambling.  Its a leisure activity, just like probably dont spend the money on alcohol until you have finished a good days work and have cleared the bills.  Sometimes alcohol is the only thing that motivates honest work, its all ironic and maybe we can argue people will earn to gamble some but never gamble cash which is for bills it will do no good imo.
354  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Why sports betting? on: May 16, 2024, 07:04:41 PM
Problem is I like to think, I want to argue the sports betting is the far better value of all gambling possible.  You can track a game and all its players for years before placing a bet with your estimated win based all those factors you enjoyed watching over the years.

To me the longer bet considered the better value, not exactly like a lotto ticket but in that way there is only one game with a certain few minutes but you can hold the ticket the whole week in knowledge you might win on the weekend.

Obviously to some people they want instant win or lose but I consider that bet the highest premium with its instant action.   I can see why that would be attractive to some types of people but its the other way round for me with a sports bet I like all the factors behind it.
355  Economy / Economics / Re: Buying Vs Renting a Home- Which is the right move? on: May 15, 2024, 11:57:48 PM
Rent unless the house prices are going up especially or you have cash to hold in property that would be usefully deployed that way.   Some people will always buy the housing then themselves become the landlord and let it to others.   If you have the skill to do up old housing with some good trades skills of either your own or just good friends who are tradesmen perhaps or make the most of property in a variety of ways beyond just owner occupation then you can make something of a business of it all and the question changes substantially.
356  Economy / Speculation / Re: BTC Sentiment Poll for May on: May 15, 2024, 07:45:20 PM
Put a green tick on your May end chart, today was an important day.   More then just a 7% rise, the wider implication is that we have broken a series of over a month of repeated decline.

The high today exceeds the prior highs which were in a long series of lower highs.   When we continually slip down the ladder it can mean we end up falling off and ending sharply lower.    Today is at least lighting the touchpaper to a change, its the beginning of a maybe alteration to what could have been a certain negative.

I do expect more sideways but even in my pessimistic view it does mean sideways not down, effectively its a good day for near and medium term.    The daily bar needs to confirm, today, tomorrow and not reverse or leave an open spike behind.

The entire weekly bar is ideally the real gold measure for a proper move more then the guessing we so often have to do.   End April we had something akin to a hammer looking candle, that is just a bullish reversal.

A move down which fails can lead to positives, I think of it as like elastic a good rebound; today may help to confirm that.  A singular moment of movement is not so important but a combination can develop to become a locomotive :p

Dont over cook that thought though because its never certain, confirmation comes with time & additional price action.  Volume today was not massive from what I see.
357  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Losing all your fortune with just 3 years on: May 15, 2024, 12:28:57 PM
Its a sad story but I dont feel sorry for a millionaire who couldnt handle it.  That much isnt a rare story really, he grew up rich which was a different story to his parents I guess and so his skills were not the same to run that business.

I feel sorry for people born poor and struggle just to feed themselves.   I dont know they'd handle millions better either but they'd surely feel lucky every day if they got that far so usually those who earnt their riches have had a good reason to value things highly and so they keep the money better.

Buffet was born during the great depression, he wasnt a poor kid but I presume during growing up he learnt money is easily lost.  Its an interesting story, I hope Terrance can scrape back some worth via his story and give a warning to others.
358  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Is this true or some superstitious believe about gambling? on: May 14, 2024, 11:59:31 PM
I'll go with logic and maths when deciding probable wins or losses but people have a ton of beliefs about what works for them.   Some of it is real for that person in getting them in the right mood or mindset, I dont argue with people what makes them right on the day and happy within their gamble to operate best on the day.   Some of it is the attitude towards gambling, there is no certainty and if you have the good belief that you cannot always win that is probably for the best in controlling your ego and hubris; whatever works for you!
359  Economy / Speculation / Re: When is next significant correction coming? on: May 14, 2024, 05:50:29 PM
Best clue to a downside move is when the attempt to go upwards fails then speculators give up and it can snowball downwards through support.  At present I think the upper line to beat would be 63k and for the last couple weeks we have been below that level mostly and also the weekly average is mostly negative.

Support below would the last low at about 58k, we traded below that on May start but didnt hold there and recovered.  So those are the two indicators that must exceed and hold to show positive or negative direction.

We've gone sideways so often now for so long I dont think it'll be clear until the weekly bar shows us confirming those extreme levels and holding there.  Then you might get the greater movement.   Buying programs etc. those who want to avoid obvious moves deliberately try to get the market to go sideways by only buying into lows when they accumulate.  All of this hold pattern could resolve in a bullish way still.

He could be hedging is my first thought, gaining a bonus elsewhere for high revenue etc.  Odds can be uneven for the same event, which is potential arbitrage.

I dont ask for much, I just want to be the person who referred such a big high roller.   This has to be the advantage to reviewing sites or running a directory linking sites that you can refer people commonly who are looking to bet on any of the sections offered.   Sports bets has to draw in quite a few people surely.

I dont reckon there are many authorised insiders, its probably easier on security to have less people thats the model I assume is being used.   It can be taken too far though, I remember one exchange that fell over which only had 1 person with keys and he died from a bad stomach condition.   Though I need to double check as I think if they found out he was actually alive but had fled a mtgox type scenario.

Heres a quick google, crypto is never short of drama thats for sure:
