341  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Are you going to pay taxes? on: December 16, 2017, 06:39:14 PM
Governments will always find a way for you to pay taxes. The blockchain is such a disruptive technology that they can't regulate. Therefore they will want taxes wherever they can get.

How can they not regulate it? It's a giant public ledger so they can easily see what's going on. Cash is much harder to tax because it doesn't have a a history of every transaction made cash in hand.

Why should we pay taxes on our profits from BTC? The government will never compensate us if we ever face any losses in crypto-trading.

The government isn't there to compensate you on whatever you gamble on. People pay taxes to contribute to society and the country they live in. IF you don't like it I suggest you move to a country that has no taxes or very little of them. However, don't be surprised when your government starts looking into everyone who trades bitcoin and when they IRS comes knocking at your door you'll probably regret your attitude.

Man City goal!  Sorry Spurs fans, we got this.

I also noticed Man City has been putting extra pressure on the midfield when they don't have the ball, thereby isolating Son.  Fernandinho is doing a great job as an 'enforcer' as usual.

It's only one goal though and they've got the whole second half to get one back. I'm not watching the game unfortunately but checking the stats it's almost 50/50 possession but Tottenham have had no shots on target yet. Still everything to play for but I expect City to win it.
343  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is bitcoin just a big bubble that is ready to burst anytime soon? on: December 16, 2017, 06:29:58 PM
There has been a lot of speculation of bitcoin being a big bubble ready to burst, what are your thoughts about it

There's a lot of fud going around and a lot of it is coming from naysayers who are butthurt they missed out on the bitcoin boom. However, that's not to say bitcoin isn't going to be a bubble, but as the above guy said, it depends on how you define a bubble. If bitcoin falls in value dramatically for whatever reason then people will say the bubble burst and feel pretty smug with themselves. However, of course it could keep going up and up but I don't think that can last forever and if you look at bitcoin's history it is full of many up and downs and I'm sure both of those things will happen again in the near future.

345  Other / Off-topic / Re: Can we sell any sort of service in Market Place? on: December 16, 2017, 06:17:40 PM
Yes, I believe so and as far as I'm aware you can sell anything here as long as its legal and you accept bitcoin as payment. I'm not sure if you can sell adult content though so you should probably check with the mods here. I'm also not sure what smo is either but my first sentence probably applies to whatever it is.
346  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Will bitcoin replace gold? on: December 16, 2017, 06:14:53 PM
Bitcoin and gold are two completely different things, so no, I don't think bitcoin will replace gold. Gold hasn't really been used as a currency in many many years and is just a store of value now and gold is not very good as a currency for numerous reasons whereas bitcoin is good and can be sent across the world instantly. SO I guess bitcoin could replace gold in in that sense, but gold will always have value intrinsically as it's a precious metal and exists physically. Bitcoin could collapse or be over taken by something else though and is far from perfect as a currency but I think that's the biggest risk with bitcoin. Comparing bitcoin with gold though is just apples and oranges as they say.
347  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread (EPL) on: December 16, 2017, 03:49:22 PM
Just finished watching Leicester City 0 - 3 Crystal Palace. This is actually a surprising result, especially after Leicester's winning streak, but Crystal Palace put up a great performance today, they were dominating the game even before the red card to Ndidi. Zaha was the MVP, but also great performance from Benteke, goal and assit.

Huddersfield are currently beating Watford 0-2 as well. Not as surprising as the Crystal Palace result but Watford have been very strong at home this season and I backed them on an accumulator today which is annoying. Hoping they can come back somehow but with a player sent of this is very unlikely. Arsenal and Chelsea are both winning 1-0 so I'm just looking for the Watford win now but I'm not optimistic lol.

Edit.... cant see them coming back now. 3-0 down lol. fuuuuuu
348  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread (EPL) on: December 16, 2017, 01:43:51 PM
^ But you have to take that it's an away game for Palace into account.   They haven't really been getting good results in away fixtures.  Leicester on the other hand have been doing well, especially vs lower tier clubs.

And yet Crystal Palace are already 0-2 up and it's only half time. I wouldn't have put money on that to have happened at all. I would have put Leicester to win to nil if I was going to bet. I think I heard a statistic by a pundit that Palace haven't even scored an away goal all season (well up until this game lol). Craziness.
349  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why Bitcoin isn’t a ponzi scheme? on: December 12, 2017, 09:24:50 PM
Don’t get me wrong, I’m holdig bitcoin and I am amazed of it. Anyways, I don’t get it why Bitcoin is not a ponzi scheme. How ponzi scheme works? By bringing new and new investors to the scheme/market. How does the bitcoin price rise? By buying/brining new people into the network. So if anyone could give me a good explanation why bitcoin isn’t a Ponzi scheme I would appreciate it.

If all the poeple would sell their bitcoin holdings, the price would crash to 0 and ~70% of people would remain with loss.

Would you make the same argument about stocks and shares? Of course not, Bitcoin isn't a ponzi in any sense of the term. However if bitcoin ever does collapse at some point and become worthless or worth very little then people will certainly try their best to smear it as one, but that would only be the ever time the term would be even vaguely justifed (but still wrong in my humble opinion).
350  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: As a newcomer, what should I know first? on: December 11, 2017, 12:24:17 PM
I just contacted the virtual currency, now more confused, I do not know what knowledge is what I most need to understand. What part of the virtual currency is, I think I should start from the most basic, but I do not know how to start.
I hope friends can give me some advice, I have bought some books, but I do not know a lot of knowledge, I think it is not the book I should read, maybe they are too difficult.
If you can give me some advice, I will be very grateful, I hope to see your answer, thank you!

Well if you've bought them then I would suggest at least trying to read them first as it would be a good start. If you struggle with those then try watch some youtube videos about what bitcoin is for beginners etc. I would recomend watching anything you can fine by andreas antonopoulos as he is good for beginners and helped me out a lot when I first started. Good look.
351  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: CBOE launched Bitcoin futures!!! on: December 11, 2017, 12:18:46 PM
Is this a good thing for the Bitcoin ? Does that also mean more manipulation by the banks to have bitcoin futures?

Yes, it's good. More awareness = more adoption = more demmand = higher value for us. I think it helps legitimize bitcoin especially with those people who just ignorantly think it's a scam or a bubble. It's already pushed the value up around 2k in a day so it can't be bad. I don't think it will continue to rise for much longer though but I hope to be proved wrong.
352  Other / Off-topic / Re: English Grammar on: December 11, 2017, 12:10:46 PM
Hi There,

i not good about english grammar what should i do ?
and i think i'm bad with english
there is some advice ?

Are you asking how to just improve your English in general or asking what to do about being on this board with Bad English? As for learning I'm sure there's plenty of youtube videos that can help you but the best thing is just to keep reading and look up words you don't understand in a dictionary. Google translate can help you a lot as well if you don't understand things.

What languages do you speak? If you find English hard there are local boards for non english speaking members.
353  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread (EPL) on: December 11, 2017, 12:08:22 PM
I wonder who of the fans have doubts that the City will become champions of the Premier League? I have no doubt in their championship.
11 points ahead and they are trailing by team like Man U ? Nobody will have any doubts now . Still there are 22 matches but its clear that they are the one who are going to lift the trophy .

Anything can happen so don't call it just yet as crazyier things have happend. Sure its very likely they got it in the bag but all it takes is a couple of losses and a draw and United could catch up. Man City have Spurs as their next match so lets see what happens there. I think City will win as its at home and Spurs have had some bad form but the're due to bounce back i reckon.
354  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread (EPL) on: December 09, 2017, 10:17:49 AM
Parking the bus is not an option when playing against Man City, we saw west ham try this strategy when they were leading 1 goal up and result went against them and Mou knows it too and the only way to defend is to attack and that's what we shall expect to see.

But Man United are not West Ham. They're a much stronger team especially at home. City are still a stronger team than United so I think Jose will play it safe especially since they're missing Pogba. One thing for sure is it will be an interesting game and I'll be watching it along with the Liverpool derby.

Precisely. Man United can park the bus extremely well, they have a team built almost tailored to these needs: solid defence, arguably best goalkeeper in the world, a poacher strike and two fast wide players for the counter, and especially a midfield built to frustrate and break down play. Even the overall tactics employed by Mourinho's team is suitable for this... time wasting, injury faking, niggling fouls... look at how they completely dumbed down the match against Liverpool.

That said, they have the advantage that City will expect them to do this, and so a fluent attacking formation can dismantle City, even without Pogba. Mikhi better get his good boots out (and Lukaku!). United need to win this or we can all kiss goodbye to our respective team's chances for the title. I'm down on a bet for them - ML.

I actually think Lukaku is better than Pogba but I seem to be in the minority, I agree there will be lots of time wasting and diving/faking injuries. I think a penalty or sending off is on the cards as well.

These are my predictions for the weekends games

Burnley v Watford 1

Crystal Palace v Bournemouth 1

Huddersfield Town v Brighton and Hove Albion X

Liverpool v Everton 1

Manchester United v Manchester City X

Newcastle United v Leicester City X

Southampton v Arsenal 2

Swansea City v West Bromwich Albion X

Tottenham Hotspur v Stoke City 1

West Ham United v Chelsea 2

356  Economy / Speculation / Re: price of bitcoin in december? on: December 08, 2017, 12:15:06 PM
It's funny, a friend of mine bet me that bitcoin would reach 10k by the end of the year. It was only a £100 bet but I'm starting to sweat now LOL. The best thing is though, neither of us lose out if it reaches that. I always thought bitcoin would hit 10k but I was expecting that within 5 years or so. How fast it has risen makes me worried it could be a bubble though. In the grand scheme of things I think bitcoin will be worth much more than 10k though, so even if it does pop I expect it to regain moment at some point. I Don't think bitcoin has even reached 5% of its true potential yet so I;m still very optimistic for the future. Hears to a great 2018 anyhow!

Looks like I lost the bet and owe £100 now  Angry. As I said we're both winners though hehe.
357  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread (EPL) on: December 08, 2017, 11:59:18 AM
I think, Manchester city will be champion, this year they are very string,

Well it's looking like that but lets see how they fair against Manchester U in this weekends game.

I'm so excited for this week derby. We will get to see the best two teams playing against each other. The visitors to show dominance and the hosts want to prove that they are not giving up also both manager have been compared against each other for long time last season Jose showed success by winning 3 trophy's with United while Pep struggled with getting a single trophy after spending hard in the first season but he managed to finish above Jose in league now 8 points separate both teams hosts have been great at home winning every single game at old Trafford this season in all competitions while Citizens have tasted only one loss that came in last round of Championsleague o hope that Jose don't park the bus like he is used to do in big games but still the end I expect a home win or Draw.

Yes it will be the game of the weekend. I actually think it will be a draw, City are the better team but United have the vital home advantage though if United won it will make the league more interesting as they close the gap. And of course Jose will park the bus LOL.
358  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread (EPL) on: December 01, 2017, 07:03:01 PM
Happy for Everton's recovery and Rooney's hattrick... Best goal of his career ever? I don't know. Those halfway punts are all about skill, wind, and of course a generous helping of luck =) He's one of the last of my boyhood age players, so nostalgia abounded!

It is rare to see rooney score even when he was in manchester united. Im not really sure about this but there is a rumour going on that he might end his career this season along with everton his old club. This is a classy way for a player to end their career although I was hoping that manchester united will be his last team for his proffesional career
Now its good time for him to say goodbye because his time is already end and he can give his place for any other good place going to end his career from the same club where he start its very great moments for him he deserve some respect as he done good for his very long career

Absolutely true, a good time for him to retire. Its been a long career and an awesome one as well. I still like his play, but its glamour went down as his age increased. As one of a favorite, it would have been really nice to see him retire from Manchester United.

About EPL tomorrow, 2 matches I would follow and might like to put a bet. Tottenham vs. Watford and Manchester United vs. Arsenal
The 2nd one ManU vs Arsenal will be a must watch. Wish to see some actions from both side.

Both games will be interesting and I will try catch them both. I think the Spurs game will be more exciting because as I mentioned before Watford are doing very well this season and are strong at home and Spurs have had a bit of a bad patch but are due to rebound back to form I reckon. The Arsenal/ Man U game could see both teams cancel each other out. I could see a 0-0 or 1-1 draw.
359  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Faster site that i can use to Deposit Euros by Bank and get BTC? on: December 01, 2017, 06:59:30 PM
I have used Kraken but only to sell coins and bank transfers are fairly fast for me taking about three days to complete. I would try find someone on Local bitcoins who accepts bank transfers. I'm sure you could even find someone on here in the Currency Exchange board so create a thread there looking for someone, Make sure to use a trusted escrow however.
360  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What happens to your Bitcoin when you Die? on: December 01, 2017, 06:47:45 PM
Maybe I found myself lucky in this kind of situation, where my sister and brother knows about bitcoin. I'll just simply give the information about my bitcoin to them, in case I'm going to die. It will be easy for them to access and to know for they have already an information in using bitcoin.

What do you mean in case you're doing to die? You need to do this before you get into that situation. Not everyone is told they have x amount of days to live. Some good advice is to either put your private keys in a safe deposit box or with a lawyer or in your will etc, or if you don't want to go down that route give half your seed to someone you trust with your life and half of the other to someone else also equally as trusted. Then if you die you will need both parties to get together to restore the bitcoins.
