341  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][VTR] vTorrent - Share with freedom | 2FA | HD | @Bittrex on: November 13, 2016, 03:06:05 AM

In other news, as ik_do requested, inbuilt data folder selection is already implemented and new beta client will be giving out to our core beta tester soon.

Regards,

vTorrent
Might want to change the "At least 20GB" to "At least 1GB" or something. Smiley

Edit:
Synching is on 21%.

20GB might be ok, if its also being used for torrent files?
Oh I didn't know they'd be stored in that directory.

Wouldn't it be better to create a second prompt for saving torrents?
Edit:
Wait do you mean .torrent files? or the actual torrents?

I imagine it's for all your VTR data, .torrent files and the torrent data files.
Interesting...
Do you think it would be better to have one file in the %appdata%/vTorrent-HD that has the locations for all the .torrents and torrent data files?

I don't know, you guys probably have better ideas, I haven't used the beta. I should sign up.

Alright everyone, i'm officially invested. I'm really looking forward to the future of this project.
I'll make those requested videos when the client is synced. (currently 1%)

Are there instructions on how to use the 2FA feature? I don't know how it works right now. Smiley

Thanks guys, and good luck with the project!

P.S. Love the wallet style btw.

Hi guys, i've created a vtorrent.conf
I still don't have any peers though. Any ideas? Smiley
Being proof of stake, you need people staking to connect your peers. It might be these are not online.
I have some connections.
Try looking through the network info on the this explorer to find recent peers that have connected and put them in your conf file:
http://cryptoguru.tk/NetworkInfo/index.php?Currency=VTR
The dev was talking about a new explorer which is on the OP, but I think he did say it was a test server and the real one would be up after some testing.

Thanks, I instantly got 2 connections from this list:
Code:
addnode=45.55.197.64:22524
addnode=82.39.101.246:22524
addnode=82.136.125.177:22524

A bounty has gone out for some help videos:

1. How to use 2FA
2. How to set-up the .conf file

Hi coins101, I can do the videos, i'll try to get them done tonight.
This project looks like a great idea.
348  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] SpreadCoin | Decentralize Everything (decentralized blockexplorer coming) on: November 08, 2016, 08:04:18 AM
Just to let you guys know, I'm still here, and am looking forward to the future of Spreadcoin.
I still have a couple thousand Spreadcoins and I might buy quite a bit more than that in a few months.

Anyway, keep up the great development Georgem.

Yes I did reply in this thread but it was a request from the manager. No manager should enforce a post in a thread as a part of campaign.
But the again should a manager follow his own rules.

For me Both the campaign as the management whom deliberately chose a new manager are at fault.
For me, CrowCoin, sorry defuntec is a scam.

Sorry, i couldn't dissect an argument from you're utter babbling.

"For me Both the campaign as the management whom deliberately chose a new manager are at fault."

What are you talking about?
He is saying that a signature campaign manager should not force its users to post in a specific thread as part of the campaign.

Also he is saying that you seem to not be following the rules of the campaign, but I don't think you're even in it. lol

For me, CrowCoin, sorry defuntec is a scam.
In english, that is:
Sorry Defunctec, for me, Crowncoin is a scam.

Lol. And what is that "new manager" stuff? heh.

The Donation phase is over since end of August.

regards

Ah damn.

Oh well, i'll wait.

P.S. If anyone cares, I found this: https://web.archive.org/web/20160424121021/http://elastic.pro/donations

Can I just ask, how much BTC was donated in the end?
353  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][XEL] Elastic Project - The Decentralized Supercomputer on: October 06, 2016, 08:58:38 AM
What's been going on with Elastic? I threw some BTC in it near the beginning. Website is now down? What gives?

Also, donation warnings were implemented after my payment, that seems to not be a good sign.

devs are very activ working on it, just read some of the last pages and you will see that there is alot going on

Why is the website on the announcement down? That's really not the least bit encouraging.

I want to donate but since the website is down, I can't see the details of donating or anything. This is real dissapointing.

I already mentioned it two weeks ago, and it is still down.

http://www.elastic.pro/

The website seems to be down...
For me it "took too long to respond."

Is anyone else having trouble accessing the site or is it just me?

Does anyone know if it will be up soon?

I am rendering an intro for my future Crowncoin Videos, I think it looks (and sounds) really cool.

You'll be able to see it in my throne tutorial video which will (hopefully) be uploaded in a few hours.

Mined another coin
Turned down offer to get 7 btc (because I am retarded, by far worst decision on this forum, lol)
End up with 0.2 btc
Invest in other bright future altcoin
Don't sell at high of 1.6 btc.
Sell later and get 0.3 btc
Invest in multiple other coins over 6 months.
Only end up with 0.4 btc

Go down to 0.2 btc
Start making video tutorials
End up with 0.4 btc.
Invest in other really bright future altcoin where the developers are actually doing something.
This is where I am at now. I am now 16.

Along the way I also bought a few games off steam with BTC.

can some1 help me w/ mac throne setup?

watching project now and got myself some coins

thx
Here is a fast guide to setting up a throne on a Mac.

Open your wallet
Click file->receiving addresses
Right click an address, or create a new one and right click that and copy address.
Go to the sending page and paste the address into the pay to section.
Send exactly 10,000 CRW to the address.
Go to the debug console (help->debug->console) and enter "throne genkey".
The output from that command is your throneprivkey. Copy it.
Brows to /Users/<username>/Library/Application Support/Crowncoin/
Open the file crowncoin.conf. If it is not there, create it yourself.
In your crowncoin.conf, enter:
Code:
throneprivkey=XXXXXXXX
throne=1
Replace the XXXXXXXX with the throneprivkey you just got.
You may also need to add:
Code:
throneaddr=<your public ip address>
You may as well just put it there for good measure. You can find your ip by googling "Whats my ip?"
Restart the wallet and run "throne start" in the console (help->debug->console), and you're done.

My windows wallet guide video is probably going to be out very soon.

Here is a slightly faster Windows Guide in text: (no offence defunctec)

Click file->receiving addresses
Right click an address, or create a new one and right click that and copy address.
Go to the sending page and paste the address into the pay to section.
Send exactly 10,000 CRW to the address.
Go to the debug console and enter "throne genkey"
The output from that command is your throneprivkey,
enter "throneprivkey=XXXXXXXX" and "throne=1" in your crowncoin.conf,
replace the XXXXXXXX with the throneprivkey you just got.
You may also need "throneaddr=<your public ip address>".
may as well just put it there for good measure.
Restart the wallet and run "throne start" in the console, done.

(I didn't write this)

My windows wallet guide video is probably going to be out before 24 hours.

We are working with our designer on brand new graphics of our qt wallets, windows and mac. These new graphics will take our overall look to the next level. Our designer works with html + css.

Anybody have some tips how to incorporate these designs to our current bitcoin-look based qt?

We would appreciate some ideas. Thank you
Sounds awesome, looking forward to the designs.

Hey e1ghtspace - good to see you back in the game. Let us discuss it with the team and come back to you soon!

Hi Guys,

If I want to setup a throne on a local computer, do I just need to have 10k CRW in its wallet and then type:
throne start
and I am done?

Edit: I'll probably work it out. [Edit 2: Got it working]

I am happy to make some tutorials now as I am on school holidays. :)

I was thinking two tutorials. One to create a throne on a local computer and another to create a throne on a VPS. Only problem is, I don't have a VPS.

Edit 3: Do I need the externalip=(my ip) in the .conf because mine isn't static.
Also can I use a dynamic dns?
  Turns out you don't need to.
Alright, I'll be waiting. :)
