hi mate ... glad to see you back  ... what are you trying to do? ... mine with sgminer50? ... btw - the cwi thread is where i am mostly answering questions and updating ... soon - when the cwi thread is updated properly - all these threads will be locked ... if you are testing the miner - the 'old' official pool will be shut down very soon ... and the new pools will have the official granite pool running there instead ... so please re-register there - as that will soon be updated with the new stratums that has been worked on also ... let me know mate - so we can figure out what it is you are having issues with ... as for sync - the latest core code has 25cwi seednodes hardcoded and is available in my git ... the only thing is - i have not released the windows and osx wallets as yet ... so sync will not be an issue ... the difference between the old wallets and new core code - is that all reference to the old 'GraniteCoin' name has changed to 'granite' ... so the folder names have changed also ... the new directory name is now 'granite' so any windows wallet folders and .conf files need to be renamed to from 'GraniteCoin' to 'granite' ... everything else remains the same ... a full update will be made soon on the cwi thread about all this ... and again - glad to see you back ... #crysx Hey man, I'm using the miner on the pool named granite - alpha centos 7 x64. Nothing personal, they are like that with everyone, they don't give out ANY info before the release, period! If you were to report a bug they would likely answer. Ok. So why i cant get connextions for whole week now. Something is wrong. It can only be your local firewall blocking access to the service. But i have stratis on it as well and is working ok. Also nav wallet and it fine Did you try the addnode <ip> add command? |

Also another note is that unless you have set windows explorer/mac os X to display ALL FILE EXTENSIONS then everything anyone says here is pretty much a moot point.
i.e. if you open your folder where the vtorrent program is and it just says "vtorrent" and not "vtorrent.exe" you're probably doing things wrong.
I looked at his screenshots and they type of file is a CONF file, so he is doing that correctly. Edit: Here is his screenshot:  As I said before, it needs to be vtorrent.conf, not vTorrent.conf. I believe you already changed that? If so, it is probably your firewall. |

Rename your main folder so you have a backup, then download again but this time the correct version of vTorrent for your machine operating sysem. It looks like windows. I think he said he has both a mac and a windows pc. |

Open it up and type "addnode <ip> add" Do that for each ip address, then restart the wallet. I believe that is the correct command, I'm not at my computer right now. |

Why is it necessary to use this though there is Piratesbay or utorrent?
If there is not the merit more than these, this coin is a nothingness.
I'm not sure that your aware that there seems to be a global copyright crack down on torrent sites at the moment, they are going down left, right and centre, servers being sized and owners arrested, by decentralizing the torrent links (storing them on the chain in the wallet) you are eliminating the need to visit a central site, it also makes it impossible to take down. Here in the UK they are leading the way at getting ISP's to block torrent sites, including thePirateBay, so a decentralized system is desperately needed. I still cant get peers active. It is quite confusing for Non crypto person to set up all peers and nodes. In future downloads will have to have all in one Package like sdc or similars. People like it simple. Unless I am mistaken, the capital T in the title of the file vTorrent.conf is the problem. Edit: Make it lower case, so it will be vtorrent.conf It seems node/peers adresses not working in vtorrent conf File. Can u make video about apple mac vtorrent conf Set up? Fancy seeing you here. -- Oh wow, I just noticed in my tutorial I didn't save the file as vtorrent.conf, it is saved as "New Text Document.conf" I'll just add some text to that part of the video to make it clear. :/ Youtubes censoring is super annoying, it forces itself to be "motion tracking" and randomly moves around a still video. Oh well. |

It would be good if there was a system where you would download 99% of the file(s) of a torrent, but then need to upload that to another user in need of the files. Then once that is completed, you get the last 1%. |

Let them eat each other alive. TVAddons steal content from lockers without having to worry about bandwidth costs, which lockers have to pay for. Lockers steal content and try to make money from it. But now they are getting burned. So they complain about TVAddons stealing 'their' content? Meanwhile users are leaking their IP addresses. The whole online model is doomed. Once the devs implement the features it most likely will. So many sites are going down left and right every day, we need something that will stay up forever. vTorrent will soon solve that problem and bring with it revolutionary payment channels. We just have to wait. It shouldn't be too long. |

The accumulation range continues.  I bet that since price has been so low for so long that people are dumping some of their wares for small time profits (trading too) and perhaps even losing sight of the BIGGER picture here. I don't mind. Looks like the second biggest wallet on trex(now 3rd) pussed out and dumped 93K, took some small time profits. When the coins go into stronger hands, we go back up. Wow showing some shake but like what youve said its just needed to get strong holders and we will be fine for sure as we still seeing progress theres no need to make panic just simply hold and wait it will bring good outcome thanks dev. Hi guys! I have some issues with vtr wallet. I downloaded from github and since last 12 hours It says : wallet out of sync. In right bottom of screen It says wallet is syncing. How long is usualy that? It does not say how many percent is done by now. Any suggestions? It's a two year old chain, it can take at least two days, as long as you got peers (move your mouse over the connection bars on the bottom right to find out how many). It say 0 connections. I guess thats peers. I have mac so how to set up peers? I saw video for windows it seems u have to Writte into dat some nodes numbers. Its quite complicated for newbees. How is Done on mac then? Please try to add nodes from the first post. The new beta client will have all of those nodes hard coded and should requires no further action from users.
