341  Economy / Reputation / Re: Calling all reputed members esp. Lauda, ibminer, The Pharmacist to my apology on: December 01, 2017, 01:33:41 PM
You keep saying "unintentionally". That is false, and you know it. You knew exactly what you were doing when you responded, even if you didn't know it was against the rules.

You may not have ever scammed anyone - and that is not in dispute. You were left a rating by ibminer for responding to the thread, that's all it boils down to.

To receive a negative rating, you could do a variety of "immoral" things. It doesn't necessarily mean that you scammed somebody. That rating was left because ibminer no longer trusts you for what you did. Simple as that. And that's exactly what the trust system is meant for.
342  Economy / Reputation / Re: HOW TO GAIN POSITIVE TRUST RATING? on: December 01, 2017, 12:30:55 PM
on what way the mods finding that you do something good in the forum?i mean they will just check your profile?or how will others tell the mods of what good youve done to them?im sorry im really some kind of noob about this matter.but all of your comments are big help for me.seeking reason how to have some green.

I really appreciate all your concerns mate.thank you so much

Right, I'm a little confused here. Your account was registered back in July, so 5+ months ago - did you purchase this account, or did you create the account yourself? Surely if you are the original owner of this account and have been here half a year, you know at least something about how the system works Huh If not, I find that hard to believe.

Moving on..

Why is it so important to you to get a green trust score? It really doesn't give you any extra privileges. You wanting positive trust is suspicious and will make older members question your intentions.

Mods do not give you trust ratings. They can, but that's not how people usually end up trusted. ANY user on this forum is capable of affecting your score in a positive or negative way. Users in DT are the ones who, by leaving you a rating, will either make you turn green or red.

Most positive ratings on this forum are the result of successful trades where the other party has had to trust you to stick to your end of a deal.

Example: You have a brand new iPhone for sale. If I was to send you BTC to purchase it from you, and I then received the phone a few days later, you have held up your end of an arrangement, and I could theoretically leave you a positive rating for a successful trade. If you scammed me, then I could do the opposite and leave you a negative rating, which in turn gives you a scammer warning.

All in all, don't go looking for trust. Doing so will more than likely result in you getting a negative tag instead.
Be honest in all your dealings here, don't get involved in anything dodgy, don't attempt to scam anyone or rip them off, and contribute useful posts to the forum. If you end up selling goods here, again, be honest, don't deceive anybody - and maybe, just maybe, you'll get a positive trust score someday.
343  Economy / Auctions / Re: Seriously buying hero member account or Sr Member account on: December 01, 2017, 06:03:52 AM
Hahaha DARKHOLDER, I offended you that much that you decided to give me some free advertising below your profile picture?! Grin

Why don't you go one step further and dedicate your profile pic to me? Kiss I'd really enjoy that. In fact, is it possible to rent that space out for $1/month? You can start earning some commission on any physical coin sales you help me achieve!! Sound good?

In all seriousness though, as a Hero member you should know better than to try and sell forum accounts. If your account is legitimate (meaning that you actually spent a year plus of your time ranking up) and not purchased, then you spent an awful long time building up your account just to destroy it in 1 minute of greed. <shakes his head>

Sorry dude, but now you get to keep your account instead of selling it for $3,000 to someone who would have used it to scam an unsuspecting newbie.

Hi there,

Firstly please use this when making a scam accusation report, and fill in as many details as possible.

Code:

Sorry to hear that you have been scammed. I suggest utilizing escrow services on this forum for any future deals you make. This protects you as a buyer in case of this exact scenario.

Consider yourself lucky that it was only $20, some of us have been scammed for hundreds, thousands, and even tens of thousands of dollars. Take this on the chin as a cheap lesson not to trust anyone on this forum Smiley

Can you tell me how to put negative feedback ?

Go to the scammers profile page, click on "Trust" symbol as you see above, and then click "Post New Feedback". Put as much information as possible and then click "Submit".

If you fill in the scam report above and show proof of the $20 scammed, I will personally tag the user so he cannot use the account to scam anyone else.

How I use escrow ? And how I be sure that the escrow will not just be a scammer too ?

There are quite a few of us on the forum that supply escrow services for a small fee. These people are highly trusted and have been doing this for a long time, so your funds are safe with them. If you would like a list of trustworthy escrows, I will provide one here for you.

Good luck with everything, and be more vigilant in the future - there are a lot of scammers on this forum looking for newbies who don't know how things work around here.

Kindly reply me if you are having Hero Member Account or Sr Member Account i really want to buy in a good price.

My acc 0.3 btc ...pm if interested..
While selling accounts in this forum is not prohibited or against the rules, it is frowned upon specially by members who are against accounts selling and man you are very courageous declaring that you have intention in selling that account you are using.

I just conducted a study to find out how realistic it is, how many buyers are and at what price they are ready to buy...

Just for myself,

Archived for future reference.

As the poster above you has pointed out, the buying and selling of Bitcointalk forum accounts may not be against forum rules, but it is heavily frowned upon. These accounts are used to scam unsuspecting newbies, to cheat signature campaigns, amongst other things.

You are clearly offering your account for sale, so trying to backtrack by saying you are "conducting a study on how realistic it is, how many buyers there are, and at what price" is absolute crap - and everyone knows it.
348  Economy / Reputation / Re: How to get trust rating up? on: November 30, 2017, 10:45:28 PM
Trade on this platform and risked some BTC. When you are through and successful, your trade partner will give you a positive feedback and you get a green trust. The number of trades you have with the feedback correlate with the number of trust.

Exactly that way Wink

Wrong.

The only ratings that make a difference to your overall score (which in turn make you go green or red) are ratings from users in Default Trust levels 1 and 2.

For example, if a user such as minerjones, Lauda, Lutpin, Blazed or myself (among many other users in DT..) leave a rating on an account for a successful trade, it will be visible to all by default, and therefore goes under "Trusted Feedback" for everyone to see.

For anyone outside Default Trust, they can still leave you a rating, but it goes under "Untrusted Feedback" and will make no difference whatsoever to your trust score (it will remain 0).
349  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Recommended bitcointalk escrow services on: November 30, 2017, 08:20:48 PM
Thanks for including me on the recommended escrow list hedgy73, and also to the users who have given me a shout out here in their posts. Appreciate it!

One thing I would just like to make people aware of is my minimum/maximum fee. My minimum fee is 0.002BTC for small transactions (0.2BTC or less), and then a fixed 1% for anything higher than that.

I have a capped fee of 0.025BTC per transaction. Therefore should you require escrow for 3BTC for example, the escrow fee will still only be 0.025BTC - never more.

I'm not willing to escrow any types of account sales, that is final and not up for debate. Please don't PM me asking for such a service, I'll likely not even reply.

Multisig is available as well with another member listed here.

I'll be making an escrow thread sometime in the next couple of weeks.

Thanks!
350  Economy / Collectibles / Re: https://store.btcc.com/ gone? on: November 29, 2017, 09:22:10 PM
Did it have to do with any crackdown against BTC in China?   Huh
I believe that the crackdown only affected those facilitating the exchange of BTC, not those selling bitcoin related products. I'd expect that it is like greenplastic is saying, that the items on the store had no use being there as they were all sold out.

It'd be nice if BTCC_Official could comment here though, to let us know for sure.

This would be my understanding of things as well - that the site is down purely because there is literally nothing left for sale.

When I met and spoke with Bobby Lee last month, he gave no indication that the site was going to be taken down. Further, I was also advised of a new project in the pipeline (no details available here, don't ask haha) and was kind of expecting a new launch soon. When soon? No idea.

I will shoot an email to BTCC and see if I can find out what's going on with the website.

Interesting and will be watching for BTCC response, hopefully it has to do with the items being sold out as others referenced.

I'd think so digi.

I thought BTCC were thinking about stopping sales of physical coins and that the silver ones they just auctioned off was their last run (until they figured out what was going on with the regulations there). I could be mistaken  Huh

Hmmm, where did you hear this? The Silvers were completely different from anything BTCC has done before, with the biggest obstacle meaning you were pretty much forced to travel to China if you wanted any of these coins. It was a trip I made, along with a couple other users I am aware of. Hell of a long way to go for a few physical loaded coins Grin

BTCC have made no mention (that I have seen anyway) of ceasing their activities at BTCC Mint - the exact opposite was not so subtlety hinted to me when I spoke to members of staff while I was in China. I can't really say much more than this, but I am 99% sure that the Mint business of BTCC Brand isn't going anywhere anytime soon.

It was always my understanding that BTCC was ceasing all operations due to the crackdown.

As above, this is incorrect unless something else has happened since I last had a chat with a BTCC employee. Looks like I need to get in touch and find out.

Lastly, if BTCC ever makes more precious metal coins in the future - the same thing will apply like the 1 & 2 BTC Silvers that were minted recently. What I mean is this; if you want any of their new coins (precious metal if they go that route again),you are going to need to make a trip to China to collect your purchases.

However should they go back to using Titanium, non precious alloys, and anything else like that, then I am going to assume that BTCC would be able to sell the items through the normal webshop with delivery to anywhere in the world (with their usual exclusions, USA and a couple others I remember seeing).

I'll update here again once I have received a response from BTCC.

Thanks
351  Economy / Collectibles / Re: [VALUATION HELP] Casascius 10BTC Silver round on: November 29, 2017, 07:20:35 PM
I'll give you .05 for it bud

I'll offer 0.075 BTC for it.

On a sidenote, why on earth did you redeem such a beautiful, and rare coin?  Cry Makes me sad seeing something like this destroyed. You have lost out on at least $50,000 (this isn't a typo.. ) by peeling off that hologram - these coins frequently sell for 15-16 BTC. Now that it has been redeemed, that entire premium is gone.

Best of luck with your sale.

While true and sad, believe me when I say Cas and I had many conversations about these coins and I truely appreciated the beauty of this coin, hindsight is 20/20...

I've was in this game for a long time, I've seen 1BTC = $0.30USD. When it hit $50, it was crazy. When it hit $150, people were going nuts... Could you have even known it would get to 10k+? Especially if you watched some 50% swings go down?

I did cash this coin out, but I hung on to it as a souvenir to remember all the great times I had in the BTC community and fun I had engineering mining rigs from CPU to GPU and FPGA/ASIC

I had my fun, and I will never look back and ponder on what could have been

Great story there man Smiley

You most certainly have been involved for a long time, and you have seen a lot more of the early days than I ever did.

When did you cash this coin out? If it was recently, then you really should have checked the forum here. There are plenty of people who would have paid you 14, 15 or even 16 BTC for that coin in an unredeemed, mint state. In fact, I have a customer looking for one right now. Sadly they would have wanted it still loaded. As I said in my last comment, you lost out on 5 BTC just for peeling that. Which is a staggering amount. Did you remember to cash out the BCH and BTG that are on the coin? (if this was recent. If not, ignore that).

All in all, at this point, the best thing for you to do is auction this coin for 3-5 days. Start it @ a small number and then let the market decide the price. My offer of 0.075 BTC (currently $760 in BTC) stands should you want to accept that - but, in full disclosure, I suspect you might get a little more putting it up for auction. GL Wink

IDK about collectibes, simply curious if he got a good deal.

Possibly... coins getting a "perfect" MS70 grade are few and far between. And most decent grades do command some sort of premium - big or small, but would depend on the coin

I don't think he got a good deal considering how cheap those coins

your silver 1/10 coins are worth how much ?

Whatever the buyer is willing to pay!

No offence killyou, but you give yourself way too much credit. How you think your coins would get an MS70 is beyond me.

What really grates me is how you gave BitcoinPenny crap recently on Slack, saying your coins grade better than his. Some respect there would have been in order.

anyway... /rant
355  Economy / Goods / Re: Fully Authentic Rare COHIBA SIGLO VI (25CT) on: November 17, 2017, 09:48:42 PM
Just picked up a case of 25 Cohiba Siglo VI Cigars. These cigars are fully authentic by way of Canada and ships out of California and were not purchased on the streets of Cuba or Online where there are many counterfeits being sold. This is a rare opportunity to own a case of fully authentic Cuban cigars and will make a great gift for your father or grandfather during the holidays.

Asking price is .5 BTC

Don't you think your asking price of 0.5 BTC (nearly $4,000) is excessive when I can pick up exactly the same thing for less than 0.11 BTC (just £635/$835) here: https://www.simplycigars.co.uk/cohiba-medio-siglo-cigar-25s-p-2090.html Roll Eyes

359  Economy / Collectibles / Re: [WTS] 2013 Casacius 1 BTC GILT FUNDED (MS 68) on: November 16, 2017, 10:46:24 PM

One literally just ended on eBay and sold for 1.53BTC.. just an FYI. Of course the seller lost out on .23BTC in fees.

Can you share a link?

Sure thing!!

Here you go:
https://www.ebay.com/itm/2013-Casascius-1-Bit-coin-GOLD-RIM-1-700-CONFIRMED-FULLY-LOADED/292319530038

Ouch. The Casascius Silver Gilt and All Silver 1 BTC has, until now, managed to hold on to the majority of its' premium. Seeing one sell for 1.53 BTC (especially on eBay) is discouraging. Although it was only a matter of time before the premium on these started to be affected. I suspect it will get worse as BTC increases past $10k.

I couldn't part with one of mine for that. One day the rarity factor of these will catch up with them (with there only being 700). Once regular coin collectors become interested in crypto, then we should once again see a boost in premiums. That might be a while away.. Until then, its worth just hanging onto (if you don't need to sell).
360  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Cloudbet is knowingly and willfully stealing my bitcoin on: November 14, 2017, 10:15:37 PM
What?  No Im not going to apologize.

They are acting like thieves and they have false advertising and false information posted on their main website, INTENTIONALLY trying to mislead and fool potential clients.

It appears you are stabbing yourself in the foot here.

They have not scammed you. You have even said yourself that all previous withdrawals were processed extremely fast. You can't be upset if every now and then one withdrawal takes a little longer, these things do happen from time to time. Scamming you would entail confiscating your coins altogether.

They have offered to send your BTC if you apologise for what you said to a support agent. I wouldn't know, but you must have been rude for them to take this step.
I am not saying they are in the right here - far from it - but I would suggest just swallowing your pride and giving them the apology they are seeking. If that's what gets you your BTC, then just do it dude. If they have really pissed you off this much, then don't bother depositing BTC with them ever again. Vote with your wallet and find somewhere else to play.
