Neither our brains nor society are evolved enough to handle sorting through this much information, this quickly. Everything boils down to a base emotional response, not necessarily guided by anything rational.

... you've actually nailed why propaganda works so well. It's not balanced information aimed at rational beings, cool heads and critical thinking, it is emotive sound-bites fed repeatedly into a fearful population that has been whipped up with some hysteria or another.

... as you all know I'm loathe to wade into this bubbling vaccine debate  Grin Grin Wink , but some material has come across my desk that appears pertinent to the curious

... the contract Pfizer used to lock in governments appears to have been leaked (god loves a virtuous hacker or snitch) but it doesn't make pretty reading if it is genuine (I have no idea)

https://americasfrontlinedoctors.org/frontlinenews/information-security-expert-on-revealed-pfizer-agreements-theres-good-reason-pfizer-fought-to-hide-the-details-of-these-contracts/

Quote
citing the clause that stipulates “if there are any laws or regulations in your country under which Pfizer could be prosecuted, you agree to CHANGE THE LAW OR REGULATION to close that off.”

“Supplying the product: ‘(Pfizer) shall have no liability for any failure to deliver doses in accordance with any estimated delivery dates… nor shall any such failure give Purchaser any right to cancel orders for any quantities of Product.’

... as per the linked contract if genuine, they were going to get paid no matter what was delivered (or even if they delivered nothing), and were not liable for anything their product did ... they could have been injecting water, saline or whatever they are still going to get paid ~US$20 per shot, pretty nice contract if you can get it ... it does make you wonder if governments are now propagandising vaccines because they paid for this stuff so they are "damn well going to use it"

frankly I would have thought 45k to meet some solid resistance, the bull is strong here ... 64k and ATH is really not that far away when it gets like this

... face-melting rally mode, 2nd stage engaged

345  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: August 08, 2021, 01:54:36 AM
... to all the warring vaxxers and anti-vaxxers out there first you must realise you are both awash in the "biggest global propaganda operation in history"

http://www.asiapacifictoday.tv/covid-is-a-global-propaganda-operation/

... paraphrased; "part of that is to pit maskers vs anti-maskers, vaxxers vs anti-vaxxers, intentionally sow division and weaken the populations usually united common beliefs in freedom so that a 'public health agenda' can be achieved, also opportunistic totalitarian global agenda that has nothing to do with the pandemic is attempting to be pushed through simultaneously ..."

... the vaccines are not the silver bullet they are being sold as, unfortunately it looks like they are not preventing virus transmission as much as hoped for, so the goal posts have been moved to on the narrative (propaganda) "preventing hospitalisations" but it's not obvious they are doing that that well either

https://twitter.com/RWMaloneMD/status/1424069313590292483
Quote
85% to 90% of the hospitalized are fully vaccinated and 95% of the severe patients are vaccinated. Mathematically, if the vaccines are 90% risk reduction and you have 90% vaccination rate like they do in Israel, rate should be 47%.

... what's worse is that the vaccines were never tested for the well-known and documented issue with all previous coronaviraus vaccines called ADE (antibody dependent enhancement), that allows future variants to hijack vaccinated people's immune systems and that can create a myriad of complications. ADE has been suggested that it may not show up until antibody levels wane to lower levels (generally 6-12months) after vaccine injections, a primary reason why proper testing for ADE couldn't be carried out and a rushed vaccine program may have been fool-hardy ... there are hints that the waves of virus cases now showing up in Iceland and Israel, both nations with early and fully-vaccinated populations, may be the first hints of ADE associated with SARS-CoV-2

... furthermore, universal vaccination programs of non-sterilising vaccines (vaccines that allow viral transmission) by themselves are known to be epidemiologically risky, raising the odds of a 'super-virus' evolving from the vaccination pressure but not being eradicated
Quote
Continuing to push universal vaccination is reasonably likely to drive development of a "supervirus" variant that will be completely resistant to spike antigen-driven vaccine immune responses.  Universal vaccination- bad policy based on naive understanding of viral evolution.
https://twitter.com/RWMaloneMD/status/1424059191648342020
Imperfect Vaccination Can Enhance the Transmission of Highly Virulent Pathogens

... both the ADE scenario and 'super-virus' scenario will drive public health towards universal vaccinations, annually or even more frequently, basically forever ... neither outcome which would worry the vaccine manufacturers, or even perhaps the politicians and people producing the propaganda driving nations in that direction

Defending yourself from tyrannical governments is precisely what 2A is for.

2A only protects you from amateurs. When the SWAT team enters your home at 3am, your precious 2A ain't gonna do squat.

2A doesn't really kick in at the sporadic SWAT team skirmishes stage .... widespread resistance and guerilla warfare against a tyrannical government is the closest modern equivalent to what 2A was designed for

I think you are sitting at home in a bubble making things up, and when you have convinced yourself that what you made up is true, you post it here.

I think this statement concisely summarises what happens with 99.9% of all interactions on the Internet better than any other explanation I have seen in >28 years of internetting

Proudhon has been trolling for so long, most people don't realize he's a troll. And those of us who do...we wonder with each passing day if he isn't serious after all! What dedication!

Well, I have confirmed sources informing me that the llama llama dude is the brainchild behind the Bitcoin Obituaries website….

I offer 0 confirmations of this.

Compliance is impossible. Their intent is to criminalize full nodes, lightning nodes, and most Bitcoin wallets.

... it appears that the Democrats have gone full nazi, now championing effectively what is a BITCOIN BAN in the USSA

... hope all you leftie coiners here are happy with your choice of jackboot, at least now we can see the colour of the jackboots that will stomp on the throat of bitcoin so we know who to shoot back at

Of the five senators mentioned in the tweet, 3 are Republican. Just so you know who's stealing your bitcoins instead of trusting the over-excited marcus here.

... well flushed out a few of the totalitarian lefties in our midst.

... ultimately it will be demoncrat/deep-state Biden who will sign this jack-booted stomp on freedom into law

Venezuela will slash 6 zeros from it's fiat currency in a revaluation that divides nominal value by 1 million

Barely 3 years after getting rid of 5 zeros.

... inflation is an inherently socialist form of monetary policy since the net effect is to socialise the spending/risks across the society holding that monetary instrument

AML/KYC laws that G7 FATF (financial action task force) has strong-armed into criminal law all over the globe are being abused by (corrupt?) authorities to spy, surveill and target political opponents

At one point he commented, “[Bitcoin] has been and could continue to be a catalyst for change in the fields of finance and money.”

Elsewhere, Gensler issued new remarks that shed light on how the SEC may act on the many exchange-traded fund (ETF) proposals now up for review by the agency, signaling that those based on Bitcoin futures may have the highest chance of approval.

“Given these important protections, I look forward to the staff’s review of such filings, particularly if those are limited to these CME-traded bitcoin futures,” he said.

... this figures, the only ETF to get approval will be based on fiat cash-settled futures trading only. This way they can keep manipulating btc price and price expectations without risking value escaping the fiat pyramid scheme with runaway retail demand for exposure to btc upside, i.e. a btc-backed ETF.

Slap on the wrist, perfect example of the sheeple being the product.

... it's actually worse than merely just "being the product", the biggest customers for Facebook and Google's troves of personal data are government agencies

... this is a facistic end run around personal liberty and privacy by surveillance state out-sourcing to corporations, who they then light-touch regulate with aforementioned 'slaps on the wrist' so they can spy on their citizens, for a fee to the techno overlords ... no bigger pieces of shit have walked the earth than Zuckerberg, Brin and Sage

They taped a toonie to my letter.  It was pretty heavy on one side so I was really curious what the heck was in this letter.  I kept the money and shredded the rest... I don't even listen to local radio.

HAH, I wouldn't fill out a form for a Toonie either!! Tongue

had to google what it was

At first, I was on the fence as to whether it was worth opening the envelope for $2 but then I found out it was toonie Tuesday at KFC and it was also National Fried Chicken Day (not an actual stat holiday if anyone was wondering) so it was like the planets had aligned to get me a tasty chicken sandwich just for opening the envelope.

... it's a slippery slope, it begins with a toonie for a KFC chicken sandwich ... before you know it you're taking beers and joints to get experimentally vaccinated to protect from a chinese virus of dubious origins and then who knows what quid pro quo from the corpocracy ... getting CDBC stimmy bonus checks in your digital wallet in return for your lifetimes spending data?

... they've upped the ante, toonie for KFC chicken sammich and now cool $1000 "mini-stimmie" to get the BigPharma jab

https://www.zerohedge.com/medical/vanguard-offers-1000-vaccine-holdouts-get-jabbed

(just wondering how many BigPharma corps have labs in deepest, darkest china that mess around with novel viruses they create vaccines for?  Huh)

Dude seriously... get rid of that that "need 3 btc... urgently" nonsense in your avatar.
Its not doing you any favors.
If I had 10,000 btc to my name, I would not give you a single sat. And I'm pretty sure no one else would either in this thread.
Quit begging.

I have considered point 0.01 btc at ck solo pool on a rental.

and giving him eXPHorizon 0.0625 btc if the block hits.

but he would still most likely bitch and moan that I made 6.10 btc off him if I hit the block.

... I think he's hoping that if he leaves the begging quote in there and is annoying as fuck to the whole forum someone will eventually throw the 3 btc at him to just fuck off already

Theres wasted energy like that all over the world, we're talking about efficiency and somehow in an ironic way BTC can help with that because it uses electricity locally and doesnt require the problems of high voltage wiring infrastructure which costs millions to assemble separately.   Giant amounts of thermal energy in Iceland, Japanese islands probably the whole ring of fire area has that possibility in remote places and many other instances.   I know Iceland uses energy up with aluminum smelting and recycling which is efficient to do but I imagine BTC is far more easily deployed and flexible.

Unlike oil, which can be stored in tanks indefinitely after drilling, natural gas needs to be immediately processed—if there's an excess of natural gas that can't be piped to a processing facility, drillers often burn the natural gas to get rid of it. It's a process called "flaring," and it wastes almost a million dollars of worth of natural gas each day in North Dakota alone.

... precisely. I can envisage bitcoin mining of stranded energy resources becoming something of 'gold' rush prospecting for stranded energy resources around the whole planet as the on-going energy is almost zero cost after infrastructure set-up. If the infrastructure is nimble, modular and portable they can develop out a resource and then it may happen that the resource then attracts other developments, towns, other energy intensive industries, e.g. aluminium or hydrogen production. At which point bitcoin mining may have to move on to the next cheapest resource location, i.e. bitcoin prospectors ... much like how gold prospectors opened up many areas of the planet to civilisation.
