Of course the MSM has been dead silent about this. Gotta push those expensive vaccines.

... we can rely on nutilduh to give us the MSM/Prada narrative right here on the WO, day in day out ... not a valid question, truth or conspiracy gets past this censor's eyes!

... he's wrong with BS about human genome containing coronavirus pieces of course, more pseudo-scientific misinformation FUD to muddy the waters of perfectly valid query about the origins of SARS-CoV-2 which goes against the Chinese Commies narrative. What he didn't expand on is where that 71 base pair sequence came from, how long has it been around, did it get from a common mouse virus into SARS-CoV-2 in a fucking bat cave in Yunan??

Maybe we will be like that when bitcoin goes to $100,000? Total ass holes with no respect for anybody?

Haha!

... it's a matter of opinion but some would say that many of you already went that way around the $20k level.

... this "have fun staying poor" meme is an arrogant dick kind of thing to say too. Some people can be rich without a cent ... or a satoshi.

tl;dr ... definitely genetically-engineered for human host targets, 71 base pairs is next to zero chance for natural random mutations

Don't know if today will be the bottom, but it was surely peak FUD. They threw everything at it.

... local FUD peak. Deep State hates bitcoin because commie dreams are founded on fake fiat commie money. "Biden bans Bitcoin" is our FUD future as far as the eye can see. "Commie China ban bitcoin", what's the diff commie Biden or commie China ban? Sad commie bitcoiners need to own it, instead of drooling over press secretaries (wtf?) in their deluded fake kumbaya commie reality

... bitcoin peaked around Jan. 6 (commie Biden admin confirmed in commie Congress), coincidence?

30,000 troops surrounding the "capital of democracy" and that shining shithole of "freedom" and everything that is corrupt, Washington D.C. as it annoints it's new Deep State Emperor

Oh noes, poor guy just bought a one way ticket to Planet Anus! Rustyyyyyy!  Grin

who the fuck are you, you little pissant? ... fancy some pen. testing for your OpSec models?

Let's discuss the environmental cost of bitcoin. Because despite all the push for sustainable and green investment in the tech sector, there's a giant smoldering Chernobyl sitting at the heart of Silicon Valley which a lot of investors would prefer you remain quiet about.

...

TLDR on bitcoin economics: It's a pyramid-shaped investment scheme backed by the collective delusion that value can created out of nothing by convincing greater fools to buy it after you do.

...

Stephen, this is really bad, how can I help change this?

* Don't buy bitcoins.
* Tell friends not to buy bitcoins.
* Consider ethics of holding dirty companies ($MSTR, $SI, $SQ, $PYPL, Coinbase) in your portfolio.
* ... and products (funds, ETFs, etc) with crypto exposure.

/fin

...

As a final aside, this is very politically solvable. In the next administration Biden could stop the Bitcoin Waste Problem with the stroke of a pen.

Banning US persons from trading these digital investment contracts is well within the powers of executive branch.

/done

own it, commies hate bitcoins ... but they will stuff them down their own greedy throats, that's how it was designed. Political monies is what the communists' false hopes, promises and lies are based on, bitcoin kills that once and for all. We are in the "commie free shit army adopting bitcoin" phase, you can tell by how much whining and do-nothings looking for a free ride posting here.

Come on marcus!  You're far too serious about your right to free speech to feel censored by the mere threat of Bob exercising his right to free speech.  Also, we're Bitcoinists - the very antithesis of sheeple.

take a look around dude, you surrounded by commie wannabe sheeples ... sheriffed by some gay drama queen who threatens a nervous breakdown if he isn't the center of attention continually having his feathers stroked ... it's a liberal paradise, that smells a lot like queer ass ... have fun!

bitcoins have been taken over by the sheeple but thanks for all the fish.

China is still the underdog in terms of semi-conductors but their engineers learn fast. There will be a time where China can no longer be put under pressure through the Chips/semi-conductor industries.

Interesting stuff.
They learn fast, but the key is they can't innovate for shit. Mostly copying other peoples' ideas. Which means they are always 1 step behind.

... lack of innovation is a typical characteristic of communist/socialist regimes and it is no mystery why, because lack of individual economic incentives have been removed (no risk, no reward for the individual, no innovation)

... the "they learn fast" bit is because they have the commissars gun pointed at their head, if they don't pick it up quick their family disappears or otherwise threatened, disadvantaged, etc. It all runs on favours, graft, kickbacks, etc.

... USSA is heading that way

Guys, so if I wanted to be a blockchain developer, where I should start?
i would love to study and why not become a blockchain dev because I know it will help me in the future, but I don't have any good sources where I can start, any help!
 thanks.

Look for a bank or government working on blockchain, not Bitcoin. They love that shit.

Also, you won't have to build a blockchain. Learn Oracle.

I really hate oracle and I don't understand why someone is paying for that crap. but hey, they support blockchain now. sweet, centralized blockchain tables: https://www.oracle.com/blockchain/

edit: lol, they also do machine learning: https://www.oracle.com/data-science/machine-learning/

is it possible to have more buzzwords in one product? what about quantum computing? I'm sure that's under development

blockchain quantum machine learning in the cloud as a service .... way of the future

Interesting (and very clear) message ffrom the US military about the coming shitstorm: https://news.usni.org/2021/01/12/message-from-joint-chiefs-on-u-s-capitol-riot

clear statement of the US army.

...take their ...hydroclorixicinidine hydroxychloroquine or wtf its named... etc

Can't get it, even if you ask for it as prophylaxis. At least in the US. I've tried.

Only doctors and the chosen few can get it as prophylaxis.

ivermectin is more effective than HCQ and largely explains India's good survival numbers. It's a $1 per dose drug that pharmaceutical companies have no interest in the Western medical establishment using ... not sure if you can get it prescribed in the USA but has prophylaxis, acute and chronic covid treatment benefits.

I hear you repeating it but it doesn't make it any more "truer". So if he "succeeds" and judicial branch/supreme court is ignored, the leader of loosing minority is forced upon the majority pretty much destroying the institution of democracy in US everything will be fine? Right? riiight???

... I hear you repeating the MSM falsehood that the election fraud allegations were heard in the courts, "judicial system reviews" ... they weren't (might blow your tiny mind a little).

There were no evidentiary hearings, all the cases were booted out before any evidentiary stages on various grounds, "no standing", "not our jurisdiction", etc, etc ... basically the courts have punted on getting involved ... dyor.

I can't believe anyone that was storming the capital, went there with the intention of killing anyone.

Maybe not murder, but they were clearly criminal in nature.

Definitive who else would walk in the roped of path

... that's one mean murderous mob you are talking about.

"First they came for the Trumpists and I said nothing .... "

... if history is any guide this has a long way to run, authoritarian statists never give up power without bloodshed. The level of hate and vitriol being whipped up on both sides looks like it's being manufactured  ... good excuse for bigger crackdowns and more power for the State.

RootStock can do everything ETH can do ... except uses bitcoins natively.

it technically uses an altcoin that is pegged to BTC---there is a difference.

no layer 2 protocol can ever provide the same security guarantees that bitcoin does. i think that's why interest in them has traditionally been lacking.

Which do you think Institutions will use to do DeFi when they are loaded up with Bitcoin?

institutions want their bitcoins locked up in cold storage at fidelity, coinbase. how does that fit into that scenario?

Rootstock is a merged-mine sidechain, so cryptographically not an altcoin but 1-to-1 swap with bitcoin since it locks coins on bitcoins mainchain. Nice shitcoinery FUD attempt though.

When institutions get enough btc cold stashed away and confident enough with their crypto skills they will definitely be temlted to experiment with some portion for Rootstock DeFi.

The point is, anything farther than 60 seconds is too far. You could say 3 minutes is still close enough, but it's a round trip time of still 6 minutes, and that's with whatever was in the mempool 6 minutes ago.

The risk is too high that any miner that far away is not going to mine any blocks in time.

I'd argue anything farther than the moon is too far, that's already a latency of 1 second at the speed of light. 2 seconds round trip.

It makes more sense to mine in the north or south poles, or in the middle of the oceans, assuming you can get power and internet all the way over there. If they use satellites for connectivity, then you add another second or so.

...assumes we never develop quantum-entangled communications which are theoretically 'instantaneous'

... on the other point about current satellite latencies, Musk's Starlink cloud of sats architecture has latency better than 20ms ping times and in many intercontinental link situations will be faster than current f.o. cables and switching networks.

... politicians paying respect to people killed when marching on Capitol with a grievance

see the hypocrisy?

They are taking a moment of silence for George Floyd and those killed by police brutality, so there's no comparison. You're completely wrong about what was going on in that picture. Floyd didn't try to break into the capitol building after being repeatedly ordered to stop by police. So there's absolutely no hint of hypocrisy here.

... you're omitting the Church that was trashed in Lafayette Square ... and billions of dollars worth of stores and businesses trashed around the whole country ...

... one group gets the politicians to their knees pledging to "listen" .... the other group gets accusations of "terroists", "armed insurrection" ... cognitive dissonance much?

... you're being lied to and set-up for a communist dictatorship, it's clear as day. Take it from me, you've eaten the bait, hook, line and sinker.

... it's nothing to do with brain size, but we can get into that if you like? You're a late-comer to bitcoin right? Ever coded on the client?

As I thought, here's Keiser report's first reference to bitcoin, an interview with Jon Matonis, on May 25 2011, just in the midst ($5-6) of run-up to the 'first' big bull adoption wave $32 peak (and first Mt. Gox hack) ... driven mostly by gamers/overclockers getting into mining with GPUs
