341  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Do you believe religion is a setback in African development? on: January 17, 2023, 10:16:33 AM
Religion has been a part of African history for centuries. For many people, it has been a source of guidance, comfort, and community. Yet, there are some who believe that religion is a major setback in the development of African nations. This is an excellent topic that merits discussion.

On the one hand, there is no denying that religion has been used to oppress people, especially women and other marginalized groups. Religious beliefs have been used to justify discrimination, and many people feel that certain religious tenets are outdated and no longer applicable. On the other hand, religion can also be a powerful force for good in African societies. It can provide comfort to people in difficult times and bring communities together.

Ultimately, whether religion is a setback in African development is up to the individual. Some may see it as a hinderance, while others may view it as a source of strength and hope. Ultimately, it is up to each person to decide for themselves how to view religion and its impact on African development.

I don't believe religion is a setback in Africa's (or any other country's) development. No religion teaches violence toward anyone. These are guidelines of life and living criteria and the people's faith. So we cannot blame religion as a setback in development.
342  Other / Politics & Society / Re: No trains, no planes, no automobiles and NO GAS – Welcome Dem DE-CIVILIZATION on: January 17, 2023, 10:13:13 AM
In the 1980s, there was a great movie starring Steve Martin and John Candy called Planes, Trains and Automobiles. Today, that movie would star AOC and Al Gore and be called NO Planes, NO Trains and NO automobiles: https://www.naturalnews.com/2023-01-13-no-trains-no-planes-no-automobiles-no-gas-de-civilization-democrat-utopia.html

Cool

It was just a movie. Practically de-civilization is impossible unless or until the destruction of the earth (as in the film named 2012), where we would have to rebuild the whole civilization. Policies might be different, but it doesn't means we are being pushed towards de-civilization.
343  Other / Politics & Society / Re: World War Three already started on: January 17, 2023, 10:06:01 AM
I don't think anyone is going to use nuclear weapons as it's a potential threat to every country, including the one who would plan to use a nuclear weapon. However, as far as world war three is concerned, yes, I agree that it's already started, but things are much far as it seems. So, let's wait and watch for the next.
344  Other / Politics & Society / Re: I feel guilty. on: January 17, 2023, 09:55:25 AM
While I was a student, my roommate each time he saw me smoking was always disturbing me that he wanted to smoke with me. At first, I rejected his plea but when he persisted we started smoking together. His urge for smoking within a few months grew more than mine. He began to come home with packs of cigarettes and some bottles of beer. I don't drink alcohol but I was sure that it was the introduction to smoking that also attracted him to alcohol.

Recently I met him in a motor park,  he is now a chained smoker and drunkard. He was practically wearing rags and misbehaving. I called him and we started talking, I discovered that he dropped out of school and was now unemployed. When I tried to advise him to quit this destructive character, he began to shout telling everyone that cared to hear that I was the one that introduced him to smoking. He told them that I was responsible for his problems. People on my bus began to ask me if it was true and I shamefully told them; yes!

I have quit smoking a long time ago because of its health consequences. But since I met him, I have felt guilty that I am responsible for my friend's downfall.

I have decided never to introduce anybody to any behavior that can be addictive no matter how mature the person might claim to be. Introducing people to smoking, drinking, sex, gambling or other counterproductive activities might be funny or interesting but it could be destructive. I am considering apologizing to him and taking him to a rehabilitation center if I ever set my eyes on him again.

Do not think about setting your eye on him again; just go and take him to a rehabilitation center. Yes, you had made this mistake, but it doesn't mean you cannot fix the problem caused to him. Just stay strong, ask him to stay strong, and take him to a good rehabilitation center. I am sure that all artificial issues can be resolved. Good luck to you and your friend.
345  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Tawain war danger too much panic over this here is my take on this on: January 14, 2023, 01:43:56 PM
In my opinion, the safety and life of the people in Taiwan, any part of the country, are more critical than silicone chips or any other natural resource.
So I do not partially agree with your post. However, everyone must first consider the people in any war or situation.
346  Other / Politics & Society / Re: The solution to the problem of radioactive waste from nuclear power plants on: January 14, 2023, 01:39:06 PM
We can eliminate the problem of radioactive waste from nuclear power plants by dumping that radioactive waste where it will be of good use.

Right now, bio-safety level 4 laboratories around the world refuse to post cryptographic timestamps of all their data on blockchains like the Bitcoin (or Circcash) blockchain. This means that we could have another lab made pandemic like the one we just had (it most likely leaked from the Wuhan Institute of Virology; the WIV could not be properly investigated because it did not post cryptographic timestamps of everything on blockchains), and these places will not even have the infrastructure necessary for anyone to do a proper investigation. We should therefore treat these places like bio-terrorism organizations that want to fucking murder me and you. The only way to deal with these places is to take all of the world's vessels containing radioactive waste and then open those vessels, and dump them on the bio-safety level 4 laboratories. This will be a very good use of the radioactive waste because it will prevent the next pandemic.

Sure, this may make cities like Boston (which has a bio-safety level 4 lab at Boston University) uninhabitable, but that is a price that we should all be willing to pay because fuck Boston. The Bostonians have not done shit to make sure that their lab has taken the proper safety protocols, so Boston does not deserve to remain inhabitable.

It's undoubtedly a good suggestion if your statement is true that these labs aren't following the safety isn't cool. But it's not right to become sentimental and suggest destroying the city. The thing is that we do not have sufficient proof that these labs are causing a lab-made pandemic.
347  Other / Off-topic / Re: benefits of defeat on: January 14, 2023, 01:35:37 PM
DEFEAT
Defeat, a feeling that is very awful that is felted when someone intends in doing something and getting a desire results but ends up with a totally different outcome.

There are so many ways in which one can be a victim of such feeling. This dreadful feeling of defeat has trapped most industrious mind trying to come out to be recognized and has affected many people emotionally and psychologically.

Even in the forum here most people trying to build a reputation and newbies always feel this way as the forum is filled with good critics that's are always active and ready to correct and put so many people in the right track but this act is seen in the forum by some members as a sign of defeat and this sometimes crumbles their will power to keep on striving and trying their hardest to learn and be successful in world of crypto.

But defeat is not supposed to be handled like this with a negative energy and infact defeat is very beneficial  to all humans who are trying to excel because its teaches us some many lessons on the way to go about the situation in ground next time.

So i just want to hear from the forum members on the times in which we have encountered or felt such feeling but didn't stop but instead use it a benefit and a positive energy to improve ourselves.

In my opinion, getting defeated in the first instance is necessary as it makes you stronger and shows your weakness, leading you to conquer. We should not become a pessimist and must learn from our mistakes. Remember, To Err Is Human means it is normal for people to make mistakes. These mistakes which have led you toward defeat can teach you more than your winning experiences.
348  Other / Politics & Society / Re: What makes Countries More Powerful Than Others on: January 14, 2023, 01:32:34 PM
It is very obvious that some countries are more powerful than others considering the kind of recognition they get from other countries. Some of these countries have a lot of influence more that others. Anything or policy they propose or support gets accepted by many other countries across the world.
The question now is what makes these countries more powerful than others?

A strong economy and a strong military are the primary factors that make any country more stable and robust. But in my opinion, good men's power and the prosperity of the citizens are also significant and essential factors that can make any country more powerful, stronger, and more stable than others.
349  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Russia/Ukraine, Who is to blame? on: January 13, 2023, 10:24:18 AM
On thursday, 24th of february 2022 the Russian military on the order of her president, Mr. Putin invaded Ukraine. One of the reasons Putin gave for invasion was to demilitarize Ukraine.

Ukraine on her own side stood up to defend her territory from the invading military and since then, the conflict has lingered till date. Nobody thought this conflict would last this long.

Many countries are said to be supporting Ukraine especially the member countries of NATO. The US is also a major financiar of the Ukrainian side. Of a truth I am beginning to think that this war is being fueled by these supporters of both countries (Russia and Ukraine).

This war is supposed to have ended but with the support they are getting, they have continued to fight.
Who do you think should be blamed? The US, NATO, Russia, or Ukraine?

We cannot blame any particular party as the responsible one for this war. In my opinion, everyone is equally involved in this. In this race to prove itself as a superior or superpower, ordinary citizens face the consequences of this war. Therefore, I think this should be stopped at once.

DO NOT BET WITH THEM, THEY DO NOT PAY.
I am happy to see members don't trust them now, bunch of lying thieves. This thread should be removed. Why does admin allow it up?

The site seems clean and has a good touch graphically speaking.
Do you have any proof that the website isn't paying? I'm assuming you gathered all the proof before making that reply of yours otherwise, you'll be wasting your time here.

Members need proof before they choose to not choose this platform and consider another website to play on.
351  Economy / Gambling / Re: Roobet.com | Crypto’s Fastest Growing Casino 🦘 on: January 12, 2023, 03:47:56 PM
It's possible and may not be possible that more judges can be a liability.
I can't access the roobet because I didn't complete my kyc and not planning to do so, at least not yet.
I have more options that I can choose to use without doing kyc and such platforms are- stake, fj, duelbits, and so on.
Have the same case here where I already forgot my Roobet account since they started to ask for a KYC but of course if I given a chance to win on their contest then why not, beside I experienced playing on Roobet before and I can still say that its pretty good. There's a lot of judges for sure, it will come from the Roobet team and Hhampuz itself, I see nothing wrong about the winners on their previous art contest and even the participants are not complaining about the results so I believe we should trust their judgement since its their contest after all.

Yes, if Hhampuz is managing the giveaway, then there can be nothing wrong.
There's a competition going on regarding roobet on the forum which is being managed by Hhampuz like always, I believe it will be a smooth experience for them to find the right winners(s) of the competition.
352  Economy / Gambling / Re: Stake.com - The Leading Crypto Casino - 🦉 Drake, UFC, Everton Main Partner ⚽ 🥊 on: January 12, 2023, 03:40:36 PM
Hello, I am fairly new on using Stake and I have a couple of questions (sorry if this is not the correct place to ask).
I noticed that somehow I accumulated two tickets for a weekly give away.
Am I supposed to watch the stream in two days through the link provided by stake on their webpage or will Stake send me notifications on the state of the tickets automatically? Thanks.  Wink

As long as I can remember, winners of the $50k weekly giveaway do not need to watch the stream. Stake usually announce the winners in their own forum and post the link to claim the prize. I just tried to open the forum, but unfortunately the forum seems down now. You may check it later on stakecommunity.com and check the Promotions board then find the giveaway sub-board. I am not really sure if they have changed how they distribute the prize recently, but they used to post the coupon link the forum for winners to claim it or in other words Stake did not send the prize directly to the winner.

Not having it necessary to watch the stream to claim your bonus/giveaway is impressive.
It's similar to duelbits Christmas giveaway where they announce the participant's name on the stream and tip the amount in their account during the live event.
Having it necessary to be live on the stream for everyone can be quite annoying if someone is busy in doing something during that time.
353  Economy / Gambling / Re: 🎁POLYGON - 1000 coins for registration (Roulette, dice, slots, crash and more) on: January 11, 2023, 02:17:37 PM
The site looks like it has similar features to DuelBits but not wholly.
@OP, did you take inspiration from DuelBits?

That's right OP should buy and use a copper membership and at least fix the post about full details or provide an image to be able to interest this forum user.

OP got 1 merit so they can show images in their post/threads so copper membership is not necessary.

Welcome to the forum. I just decided to check the promo code, firstly, after registration, a confirmation letter does not arrive by mail, although a notification has surfaced on the casino's website that it has been sent, secondly, when using the specified OP promo code, I receive the message "SUCCESS Success! You've received 0 coins", perhaps the promo code is no longer valid, but then there would be a message of a different kind.

It's most likely bugged. Maybe there are more parts of the website that are bugged. The website seems like an edited purchased script.
354  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Things getting hot around northern Europe war might be on: January 11, 2023, 11:50:35 AM
It is an alarming situation, and the world must take strict notice.
War is not and can never be a solution. Also, it has nothing to do with the government itself.
It's the ordinary citizens who have to bear the consequences of the war. I think the world needs some reconciliation to avoid these war situations.

Meeting between SBF and senior Biden officials was for pandemic discussions. At least this is what White House claims.
Link to news:
https://decrypt.co/118319/white-house-claims-meetings-between-sbf-and-senior-biden-officials-were-about-pandemic

Do you trust this ?

Anything can be possible. However, it seems a bit hard to believe the prima facie look.
We do not have helpful information, such as meeting minutes or an official press release, right after the meeting.
Let's wait for more details to get revealed!

Usage of Vitamin C is undoubtedly a good remedy against flu and many other issues, and yes, it is affected by Covid-19 to some extent. But as far as this post is concerned, I think there are a lot of controversies and propaganda involved for covid and its vaccination.
357  Other / Politics & Society / Re: OMG! Putin ready to negotiate?! on: January 10, 2023, 05:59:37 PM
I guess it's safe to say Christmas has a way of doing things and it has certainly done something to Putin.
News has it that the Russian president and instigator of the invasion to Ukraine has come out to declare his intentions of opening talks with Zelenksy and his Western backers, but they seem to be saying "not yet".

The Russian invasion to Ukraine is in its tenth month and this war is the biggest confrontation between Moscow and the West since the Missile Crisis of Cuba in 1962. [1]

Are his actions actually genuine or is he really running from something entirely? More on this news here

[1] https://www.google.com/search?q=missile+crisis+cuba+1962&oq=Missile+Crisis+of+Cuba+in+19&aqs=chrome.1.69i57j0l4.16329j0j7&client=ms-android-transsion-infinix-rev1&sourceid=chrome-mobile&ie=UTF-8

If he is serious about the decision of negotiation, then what is stopping him from materializing it? Everyone knows the status of Russia and its powers. Putin isn't under the pressure of anyone who can prevent him from negotiating with anyone. Also, Putin's political situation is strong enough among Russia's citizens. So I don't understand why he doesn't agree to talk to anyone.

SBF get prosecuted, Elon got away from laws, why double standard?

SBF selling share of FTX company, Elon selling not only one, but three company of the shares, his tesla his spacex and his boring company. But only SBF go to jail while Elon wouldn’t stop making more noise to distract attention.

Why is the double standard? The laws are made to protect the born rich billionaires? What’s the dark magic that Elon pulling to fool the entire legal system? Is it the money that’s empowering him and even to above the laws?

For quick brief, Elon sell Tesla share to fund his twitter acquisition. There is buyer who bought all his share, that buyer is the taxpayer, taxpayer pay the price of the Twitter acquisition. So you wonder how would taxpayer pay the price when nobody is paying taxes? Look at the grocery items you buy on the market, toilet paper food meat vegetable pizza..., the price increased more than twice in two years that’s exactly how you pay the price as a taxpayer to fund the filthy rich and to even break the laws.

We should not mix the Sam Bankman-Fried with Elon musk as both are entirely different cases. Sam Bankman-Fried was involved in wire fraud, securities fraud, and money laundering and took away people's money illegallyConversely, Elon Musk wasn't charged with the same. Also, let the court decide what is right and what is wrong. If Sam Bankman-Fried is found innocent, he will be released by the court. However, he is under trial and reportedly pleaded not guilty to the criminal charges. Q

I guess I'm eating crow because I'm shocked they didn't arrest him sooner but I'm sure the trial will go on and on like the Elizabeth Holmes of Theranos.

Sam Bankman-Fried Arrested In The Bahamas, Set For 'Prompt' Extradition After US Files Charges

https://www.zerohedge.com/crypto/sam-bankman-fried-arrested-bahamas-set-prompt-extradition

"Just hours after refusing to attend a Senate hearing on his role in the collapse of FTX, Sam Bankman-Fried has been arrested by The Royal Bahamian Police Force, according to a statement from the Attorney General of The Bahamas Sen. Ryan Pinder KC."

What are your thoughts, crypto community?

If the charges against him are proven genuine by the due process of law, and he is found guilty, then he must be punished by the law due to wire fraud, securities fraud, and money laundering. This should be made an example for other entrepreneurs as well.

OP, it looks like your, have to look at the rules for playing permitted gambling: Topic: One thread per site ONLY so as not to crash.

I've seen the first thread about the gambling site Predict888.com, created by: @cryptoshapper.

Topic: Predict888.com - 180% Deposit Bonus🔥Upto $10,000⭐Earn 7 BTC+🔥

So, who is @cryptoshapper and who are you, are you both representatives of the Predict888.com gambling site.
• Then why not continue the promotion on the main thread created by @cryptoshapper.
• Unless you have a competition of some sort, of course you can create a thread here: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?board=71.0, especially for games and rounds.

if your, want to continue with this or the first thread, lock one, so users don't get confused about your gambling site.

I think I had seen another thread against the same site from which I had learned about predict888.
The response of the users was positive towards this site. However, I think this thread can become the primary ANN for this site.
I would try predict888 and would share my feedback.
