Efectivamente en El Salvador hay partes con agua hirviendo en el subsuelo. Se hace un pozo y este vapor gira una turbina luego pasa a una torre de enfriamiento y se vuelve a inyectar bajo tierra. Mas o menos igual que otras plantas eléctricas pero el calor (magma) que hace hervir el agua es "gratis".

Litecoin tiene mas posibilidad de aguantar esa carga que Bitcoin, por un lado se usa menos, y por el otro los bloques salen cada 2 minutos y medio en lugar de 10. Dogecoin igual pero emisión ilimitada mas sin segwit me parece que nunca lo implementaron.

They depend more on the PSU. If you want to recognize them, the "old" miners (with PIC) came from factory with PSUs: APW12, APW12A, APW121215 a,b,c. The rest are all "new" miners (without PIC).

The old miners can use "new" PSUs, but new miners MUST use "new" PSUs, they are incompatible with the old ones. Very old firmware will not work with new miners either.

As for Bitmain saving on parts, yeah its not just the PIC, there are also less temperature sensors, some hashboards have only two instead of 4 or 6.

However the "old" miners are becoming rare, everything they sell now has switched to this.

You need to be careful those ribbon cables are well connected, specially the small one that goes to the PSU.

This is nothing like the S17 fiasco, it simply puts more weight to the PSU itself. I don't think they are significantly worse than the old miners. Of course the early S19 Pro 110TH uses 7nm asics while the current ones are all 5nm, confusingly even the newer S19 with low THs.

Well i have seen the jpro reach 21 j/t which is about the efficiency of the XP with factory firmware, so it may not be a bad idea to swap. But yeah, without cheap electricity i guess it makes more sense to simply buy bitcoin.

One alternative could be investing for example in some solar panels and a grid tie inverter (no batteries), so at least the electricity cost will drop to half and you could maybe in the future expand in pairs, 1 miner 6 panels, or such.

This is ironic, since we ended with 4mb blocks but with spam instead of actual transactions. Yet, franky1 and others are doing some proposals that should be considered. See, the fact that mining is less profitable, means its even more expensive to perform the attack even with less miners, so its fine.

Dado que el mismo LukeJr propuso unas medidas para filtrar ese spam en los nodos, indudablemente por venganza alguien le ha hecho este robo descarado en su cara para burlarse. Me recuerda cierto grupo de habla rusa a que arremete contra los creadores de cgminer y a quien se atreva a denunciarlos.

Ya se sumó Yugalabs (bored apes) según criptonoticias... ¿Cuantos mas vendrán? Con tanto dinero pueden fácil echar a las transacciones normales a un lado.

La transacción ya lleva 7 días (se hizo el 1ro de marzo).

La idea de tener que declarar por "tenencia" (de activos virtuales) pronto se hará obsoleta. Primero aprenderán a tener 2 wallet y declarar solo una, para que el Estado no esté fastidiando. Eventualmente dejaremos el tema por completo. De hecho hay mucha gente que sencillamente no declara.

A la hora de pagar algo, quedan evidencias y se puede rastrear, de ahí la idea de que el IVA tiene cierto sentido (pero solo en el mundo físico). El paraíso fiscal del proyecto Bitcoin City debe ser el ejemplo a seguir. Mas regiones aplicarán este tipo de incentivos y los demás no les va quedar remedio que hacerlo también.

Toda tu riqueza te acompaña en donde quiera que estés, quien cruza frontera no es el capital, es la persona que potencialmente podría controlarlo. Next spammer "Yuga Labs" reports 700 BTC in profit made from abusing the blockchain. Of course with such wealth regular Bitcoin transactions will be relegated to second class at best. Even if this spam benefits miners, it kills Bitcoin's original intent.

Pagar mas es una carrera entre spammers y transacciones normales, eventualmente todos pagarán mas, eso es lo que se quiere advertir.

Recuerda, que antes del 6 de febrero no tardaba ni un día, generalmente eran horas.

Además Ordinals no son los únicos spammer, vienen mas. Y falta que se junte a la congestión clásica de los exchange moviendo desde/hacia cold wallets, etc.
