341  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: How my gambling life started. on: March 28, 2024, 01:21:03 PM

But gambling with friends and family may not be a good approach I will rather gamble on an online casino rather than visiting a physical casinos with family or friend.

I think it is more of a juvenile thing to visit physical gambling shop with family members. You can see the young people who do that most times with family members but those who are quite old gamble on their own separately especially where the family isn't a gambling home. Where the parents are not gamblers the siblings would not freely go out to gamble together because their parents would ask there whereabout and in fact, in such homes you will find very few of the siblings who gamble because they won't be use to it if the father is not a gambler.

But certainly, more gamblers gamble with friends and they seek analysis from themselves.
342  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: How about your experience in taking part in the same bet with friends? on: March 28, 2024, 11:19:00 AM

Have any of you had any such feelings?

Having such consolation is inconsequential. When you bet and lose, it is your money that is lost and not that of your friends despite betting same game but you are losing your money. I understand the feeling of having to lose with someone but you are not sharing the loses so you also have a secret or public remorse of losing like you gambled alone.

Is there less human pressure if gambling is conducted in the same place with friends?

True to the fact that everyone knows that they had effort towards winning and if it doesn't happen that way then no one is blamed. However, not many gamblers like to join effort to gamble same game exactly. Sometimes, a friend can change his own portion of the game in between either by adding or removing a game and at the end either it causes the losing for that gambler or makes him more profit to the envy of the other gambler who didn't add or included any other game.
343  Economy / Speculation / Re: My instincts on the value of bitcoin from now to halving on: March 27, 2024, 06:57:19 PM

Do you have some psychological intake or some personal opinion in related to my emotion?

Well I will not be surprised if it doesn't rise again to that level until halving. My own emotion is that the price have actually risen far above my expectations and market expectation for the history of bitcoin. However, it seems this halving is really going to change the fortune of the crypto market and making investors have lots of benefits with the way it broke previous ATH before halving because this is the first time I have noticed this happening. The reason for this is hodlers are really expecting much this season and they are hodling tight.
344  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Politicians and false humility on: March 27, 2024, 06:07:34 PM
False humility is one of the political strategies deployed during the times of elections to make people like and vote for them it is all fake
So after election they turn back to their normal self and bring out their real person

This is a circle that keeps repeating while the people know about it. What is now the solution as voters understand the phenomenon yet keep falling for it.

The next season they throw out their agents out on the field to start promising on their behalf and the people are given peanuts in exchange of their votes and after that the economy goods down by 10/20% in their tenure and they bid their friends again who is corrupt then the economy keeps nose diving. What is the solution to this for the masses who only need good governance with benefits of democracy.
345  Economy / Economics / Re: Off Economic phenomenon. on: March 27, 2024, 03:17:10 PM

Now, AI and search engines will only try to give me theoretically logical explanations, but I want something practical and out of experience from people of other countries. What do you think this Economic phenomenon is and what exactly is causing it? Has your country been in a situation like this throughout it's history, and how was it resolved?

AI will give you the answer that will be global phenomenal and that may only be theoritical and also making its solution so. Therefore, these issues are country based and not to be generalized. If government has stylishly caused the exchange rate to reduce then it possibly means they also caused it to increase in the first place. So you are going to look at corruption as a cause and that is why I said it is not global but country based.

Another factor to consider are how are the other economic indices functioning with the policies of government. Exchange rate must have to increase if there is pressure and demand for the major currency for import. This is a point to look at, how proficient is your countries.manufacturing sector and exportation of manufactured products? This is important to consider because forcing exchange rate down is not all but there must have to be good policy for natural growth of the economy and not artificial.
346  Local / Politics and society (Naija) / Re: Killing of Army officers in Delta State on: March 27, 2024, 02:45:26 PM
The thing wey dey baffle my mind na how dem fit take kill that kind number of soldiers including very high ranking officers. Shey dem trick them to drop gun abi dem ambush them? Even if them ambush them at least some go still fit do something. Omo the story look somehow and you go hardly hear the real gist on how them take kill them. Or them drop them gun go catch fun.

Well the point be say our security men don dey compromised and that na why dem dey use dem to go threaten people on matters.  I don dey search for the real thing wey happen but all na hearsay. Anyway, RIP for them as dey bury dem today.
347  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin halving, how low the price can be? on: March 27, 2024, 01:32:00 PM
Next month will be Bitcoin halving, how far can the price go down? or how high can the price go up?

The speculation for the bull run proper is around $150,000 and this is by popular assumption. So I also feel this is going to be a realistic standpoint if we go by the history of the price during ATH where it was doubled after every four years and some it was trippled like the last halving.

So the expectation is more of bull than bear although in between there could be a correction but since that will not be the trend, the price will keep going up until it reach a resistant point where it will find a falling point back to where it starts preparing for another halving.
348  Economy / Gambling / Re: Level Up Your Gaming with Cryptocurrency on: March 27, 2024, 10:56:55 AM

Please, describe your impressions of gaming sites with payment in crypto, whether it is easy to withdraw/deposit money into your account, so that we can improve our service.

Deposit or withdraw what exactly. Newbie accounts are risky to try that on and with the reviews so far, I don't know who wants to throw himself into such risk.

There are other reputable services and once you follow their TOS then you can have ease in the transaction.
349  Other / Off-topic / Re: Who can you trust more to handle your business, man or woman? on: March 26, 2024, 10:02:51 PM

* If you intend to start your business or you already do and are looking for the best candidate to fill the top management position, would you trust a man or a woman to handle the affairs of the business?

Anyone who wants to succeed in their business must first take away sentiment and go for the people who has the right requisite knowledge for it meaning qualification, skill and experience is pivotal to who should manage a business. Being a proficient and experienced professional should top the criteria for selection. Therefore, if the woman merits it so be it and if the man so be it. However, there are some jobs that require time, muscular capacity or being single. So the woman can be disadvanged in certain areas of giving time like if she is married because she also need to take care of the husband and children despite being a worker.

* What reasons would you suggest are right, for picking and trusting a particular gender to handle a top management position of your business?

Let's discuss!

Like I said, some jobs require certain type of persons. If it is a job that runs late into the evening or night, then obviously a married woman may not fit into it while a married man may manage but such jobs best fit for a single guy. A woman who is married for instance and she is not exactly a career woman may not take up certain jobs and if she does her attention will be divided. Women who take any type of jobs may need to have a very understanding husband or she is not in for the marriage.

So there are many limitation for the woman but despite that, she still has strong presence in the economy of the world.
350  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Are children born out of wedlock is still a blessing from God? on: March 26, 2024, 05:19:43 PM
Regardless of religion it's considered as sin committed if children are born out of wedlock like extra marital afraid or live in relationship or even one night stand and the region where you live plays a vital role because if you are from countries like India, Pakistan, Bangladesh and other African or Arab nations then it becomes more difficult as there will be an "Illegitimate" tag attached but I would say it's fault of the parents who did this and not the children and they would not be differentiated in the view of god.

Such illegal or illegitimate tag that you referred to is beginning to go away especially on the third world countries that you mentioned. Europe and America have since moved on from this old way of thinking and now Africa has joined to accept every child born as legal, this is majorly because adoption is now becoming a practice well established lately .
351  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: International break's in football. on: March 26, 2024, 02:24:10 PM

As for the fans I can't imagine what the fans will be needing moderation for in games they are not the ones in active play on the pitch buy just mere spectators on the sidelines or TV screens.

Of course this is the angle I was referring to moderation, on the side of the fans. Like you posted in Op, some fans are so hooked up to football that it could affect their daily lives especially if their team loses which means they are so engrossed in it , the passion is so high. But if they have a moderate passion or zeal for it then when they go on break, that fan won't feel like a rib was taken out of him and he will missing it so much like water. In moderation I mean not to be glued to it to the extent that if there is a break for the players, fans will start wishing they didn't go for such break. I understand it is almost like that for most of the football fans that they get bored that the game will go on break but some fans will also not miss it as such because they are moderate lovers of the game.
You can't be a football fan and you don't feel bored at the break of time when your club league is on hold due to the international break's, you don't have to be a glued or stanched fan to feel it, only being a club football fan puts you in that position. I will understand and agree if you had said that the break becomes necessary that players should do service to their nation to represent  as a responsibility but about moderation for fan it doesn't apply in my concept or view.

No doubt that as a fan you will get bored if there are no football activities going on due to breaks but what about those fans that doesn't seem to concern themselves about being bored but have scheduled their lives and engage it with some other things to occupy them until the games resume back, are they also not fans? They are, and I have seen quite a number of such fan and have also seen some fans who are restive because leagues are on break.

Or you don't remember there are fans who don't have time to watch the games because they are involved with their office jobs and they only get updates from reading on the newspaper online. Sometimes they also miss weekends because of office job while there are some fans who are not employed so they see watching football games as a relief, so what do you think about such fans? Of course they will be bored when the leagues go on break.
352  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Dana thought he lost $80k one night and his advice for gamblers on: March 26, 2024, 01:26:08 PM

He advises about winning and losing in gambling and if you get depressed because of it, gambling is not for you. He meant winning and losing are part of the game where great things and bad things happen.

He is correct actually and that is the psychology that gambling requires but you can't have such mentality if you are not gambling as you can bear and if you are not doing that, it will never look like fun for you. Take for instance in his own case, losing $3m but thinking it was mere $80,000 which means he has more bankroll and also means for source of income even though under the influence of alcohol.

Those that will be depressed when they lose are either gambling more than they can bear and have borrowed money hence are confused about how to repay. Those who don't have means of source of income also can be depressed when they lose.

353  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ⚽ Football Friendly Match is Hard to Predict on: March 26, 2024, 12:39:11 PM

lol! Take friendly matches serious at your own risk.

Most key players don't take friendly matches seriously and some of them won't even come in the first place and you want to try your luck with a second squad of a term playing with another's first square? If you've watched most international friendless you will observe the casual play from most teams as they mostly use friendlies to check out their players to see if some are good enough for the main tournament.

Friendly games is better staked on goals and not direct win. You have stated correctly that key players don't play most times and when they do they are careful and the coach substitute them early in the game to avoid being injured because they could be target and subject to injury.

The question is why play a key player when nothing is at stake only fitness and to taste your strategy of which the key player can fit into the real game since he is already fit or he can do the fitness exercise somehow not necessarily on the friendly game. So the best betting option that I have successfully tried is on goals because defenders too are not keen on defense, nobody wants injury on friendly game.
354  Local / Nigeria (Naija) / Re: Be careful of cheap scam on: March 26, 2024, 12:13:20 PM

The main purpose of the buyer isn’t to scam you immediately but to watch and monitor your wallet address when there is a little money in there, he would then use their charm powers to Manipulate you and claim they just sent you the usdt since they already know how much is in your wallet through your address, you wouldn’t hesitate to trade it and send them money.

I get your vibes and thanks for sharing especially the newbies go benefit from it.

But except the charm matter come enter inside wey go make a dealer no go check him balance transaction and history to see if there is new inflow and how much wey enter to see if e correspond with the business at hand. Well if charm dey work to that extent me I no fit talk but wetin me I know be say na greed dey make people lose money wey dem no suppose lose. Like the scammer fit throw enough difference in price wey you go see better profit den you go rush and forget yourself.

So wetin scammers dey do like to accept your high price because dem no say you go want rush sell before dem go "soge demselves" but you no go shabi say na trap dem set for you like that.

If we want to escape being scammed den we go stop being greedy, stop being in a haste and rushing so that we fit delay dem and ask some questions. Scammers don't like you to be asking too many questions or to dey delay dem.

355  Local / Nigeria (Naija) / Re: Bitcoin no be old school on: March 26, 2024, 10:59:00 AM
From what you wrote you'll definitely understand that this set of people in the crypto space want the quick money and fast profit nothing else, ...

My brother nothing dey wrong with making fast money and everything dey right with it if na genuine way and crypto investment na genuine way and people dey cash out big not even from btc. Everything na package and plan. If you plan and target well, you fit take a particular shit coin take hammer very well. I remember how people take use dogecoin take hammer two years ago when Elon musk hype am and the coin reach ATH of around $0.70 or so. Even Shiba Inu don give plenty people better money back then. The thing na to look at the prospect of the coin and hope that it will favour you.

One thing about shit coins be say dem dey cheap die and if you gather millions of it keep you fit dey lucky say the crypto hype and bull season go make am too increase and any little increase na better money for you.

Talking about quick money, some investors never even dey invest for shit coin self, dem dey wait for the real btc bull so dat it will also touch the shitcoins and dem buy to follow the ride .

If dem dey call btc old school, I think say dem mean say there are other coins wey dey give ROI pass btc, maybe like some shitcoins. Or maybe dem dey trade am and not just to hodl.
356  Local / Off-topic (Naija) / Re: Why is mental health neglected so much in Nigeria? on: March 26, 2024, 08:32:15 AM
etc. but you do not have the opportunity to do so.

Why not. Anybody wey no dey alright whether for head or body get to go treated but the problem for naija be say you dey on your own (OYO). For naija, all man dey live for himself, government no dey responsible for anybody and worse worse e go end for fund raising especially if you be one time celebrity or e get as people take get interest for your health matter. If you no dey directly in government wey dem fit fly you with government money abeg make you forget am. Our health care system dey very appalling.

Government suppose take over some health cases for adults like even subsidize some treatment. I dey see cases for straight wey person wey sick turn beggars for motor parks instead wey be say government go take charge but nothing like that.

I understand say some mental issues na as a result of wetin people drink especially guys , government never dey responsible in any aspect of our lives.

My question is, why are they being so neglected in Nigeria and the society is so unwelcoming to such topic?.

You go ask your self say na which area of naija economy wey government dey try. Naija dey get government but e be like say dem dey exist as country wey no get government. I sabi say some countries still get some of these symptoms of straight living and mad people but their government still get control over it. Here in naija, na embezzlement we dey see.
357  Economy / Economics / Re: Does a place called Africa really Exist in the world Economy on: March 25, 2024, 05:59:28 PM
Blame the politicians who are being elected at their posts, and the people electing these same guys to 'lead' them.

Until the times when African electoral system will be free and fair then it won't start having leaders who are devoid of European mentality and colouration. The worse is that the foreign bodies hang on to support corrupt election that has brought in corrupt leadership because of what they stand to gain which is nepotism, favouritism and mediocre government and the people suffer because the economy will further be plunder into quagmire and dependency.

Electionery is the bane to Africa leadership problem. Their election never produce good leaders and leadership is a priority for an economy to grow because of the policy that will be introduced into the system.
358  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Don't make your bets when you're tired on: March 25, 2024, 03:32:50 PM

As I was not able to see clearly, to be honest with you, that drowsiness took over and I could not sleep that night as I felt very disappointed because that amount for me was too large to lose it in a game like this.

Sometimes we also need some medicated eye glass to support our vision. If you are of age or you usually strain your eyes trying to see through the screen then glasses will help just incase that could be a reason.

In general, I realized my mistake and no longer made my bets while I was tired. Concentration is the most important thing in any effort we make, and we must always be at full mental strength, as there are many factors that may affect your chances of winning or losing.

I hope everyone benefits from my experience, thank you

Yeah it is an experience that is painful when you didn't plan to use up such amount of money to gamble to try a luck but only just wasted it. However, there are also some instances when mistakes still turn out to be luck and at the end you have a multiple win against your initial meagre winning target. Well in the instant case, it happened to be a loss. It is for others to learn, playing and losing concentration isn't appropriate because if you have staked it you can recall until the outcome is known.
359  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Give respect to your teachers and parents on: March 25, 2024, 02:20:49 PM

However, I believe that one of the most serious problems that parents and instructors face today is a lack of time.

I will agree for parents to lack the time to properly take care of the children which is the primary purpose of taking the children out from the home even at very tender age to be taken care of by other people known as teachers or care givers but I don't agree that teachers don't have time to do their job since they are assigned for it with time allotted for it. The challenge that teachers have is that of over labour and low salary for the time they put in and the stress on the job.
360  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: The shocking rate of women interested in gambling. on: March 25, 2024, 12:48:37 PM

It is important to pay attention to this trend and warn women against the possible negative consequences of gambling.

I don't think there is anything to warn women again in gambling or if there is anything to fear again on it because apart from gambling, women are now occupying and conquering different aspects of the economy. Jobs now favour them more either because of empathy or whatever but they are surely taking steps to do most of the things that are traditionally men both physically and otherwise. On the emotional aspect of gambling, I think they would be better stakers because they will almost calculate very well before staking their money. Like we know women are better managers especially with money, so they are not lavish stakers just like you will see in men betting in anger after losing serially.

Women do calculations in their gambling before they go on betting and are likely to back out when it is not favourable as they look back home to the children feeding.
