561  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Are there any reliable binary options sites these days? on: February 12, 2024, 10:30:56 AM

The thing i dont like with binary options is that you cant really be able to apply any technical analysis through it on which it would really be that based up with pure prediction

Why not? You can add your technical analysis indicators on binary. I think you have to use meta5 to be able to do that if I may think but aside from that this board is not a trading board.
I don't think I can see such options in gambling anyway, I know binary options is for those trading and maybe you can ask in the trading board perhaps they can direct you well.

and who else can we blame if not the coach.

But all in all, congratulations to the super eagles and Nigerians at large, for we, atleast, reaching the finals, it's not easy, it was never easy, so we still gotta celebrate, just that losing the cup to ivory coast is rather too disappointing for many Nigerians, but all the same, we gotta move on, the AFCON 2023 was fun while it lasted.

It was a disappointing final match where Nigeria would have come out smoking especially after they managed to get a goal from the centre back, Paul Ekong. The coach was not very smart in any way when he was suppose to have made substitution early as calls where made for nwobi to be removed. My question was why were they attacking at the end of the match whilst they were suppose to keep the attack on when they were ahead. It is a poor final match from the Nigerian team.
563  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: How my gambling life started. on: February 12, 2024, 06:22:28 AM
Most of these gamblers stem from the influence of their childhood, whether it was their father being a gambler or someone introducing them to gambling. And over time this affects their minds, so that they become gamblers when they grow up because they think that it is not a problem. This shows that childhood experiences can influence someone to become a gambler.
And this is also a quite serious problem nowadays, when many children are exposed to gambling from their environment, they have the opportunity to become gamblers before their age and that will be a problem because it will make children not as active as they should be.

The home is a strong influencer of the children and that is why it is the primary agent of socialization. Most likely children pick traits of behaviour from the parents either the father or mother. A son that always sees the father playing games grows up to like playing games because he has been accustomed of it by seeing the father do so too. Therefore, if the father is staking money on it then he would start that too, so parents that doesn't want their children to learn vices that they didn't want should make effort not to display such vices in their presence.
564  Economy / Speculation / Re: What to expect this bull run? on: February 11, 2024, 06:34:12 PM

Is the crash down to $31k normal during a bull run or did something happen?

Yes it is quite normal for the drop to that range and in fact, it dropped even below I think around 26k or thereabout in last year before it started galloping up again to this current price of 47k. I think btc has performed more than it did in 2016/17 and 2018. The fact that it retained the 5 digit even at it bear last year and previous year, it shows that the bull this time around will be a memorable one, probably in 6 digits as speculated.
565  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Communication as part of life in the society on: February 11, 2024, 05:28:23 PM
I have seen that proud people don't succeed in business especially physical P2P and not online. If you have a shop where you have to constantly talk to people (customers) to buy your products then you must have to be humble in nature to be a good trader. Because apart from talking being the main tool to communication and to convince people, you must have to be submissive to achieve that. Some people think it is too awkward to be a submissive business person and that whoever wants to buy from you would buy no matter what but that is not true. Being submissive is a key factor, it even leads to referral and that is why some traders will still have their products still filled in their store but the neighbor trader selling same thing is already making huge ROI.

They say customers are always right so let go the arrogance and get the money first. This is a key to trading. So op is doing well to win his customers.
566  Economy / Speculation / Re: Going against the grain. on: February 11, 2024, 04:26:51 PM

It's a given when all the internet bobble heads get excited is a good time to sell some. When anything rises fast it comes back down almost every time.
Most likely so that some hype might have caused some rally up that everyone is not aware of but that the coin suddenly starts going up. The market is about rise and fall, so during the rise at a time that the market is not yet ready then you can expect the fall back or called retracement but when it is the bull season you may not be expecting such retracement sooner.

Even if it goes up some more you still secured a profit, get rid of the emotion. When it drops below your sell poing enough buy back in a bit at a time.

Talking about btc and the present season, selling off profit is not the problem but to get the right time to buy back may be the problem. For example, the coin can drop $2,000 and within the night it will gain $3,500 and by such time you are already out and entering back is at higher price than you exited.
567  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: How my gambling life started. on: February 11, 2024, 12:32:08 PM

On a serious note, we saw this as a mere bet of competitions and not as gambling. As we advances, we saw it as a domestic gambling and not as the wild gambling that could cause one emotional outbreaks.

From time immemorial, local gambling has existed before what we see today as offline, casino and online gambling. It is a neighborhood kind of gambling that is not just about card but whot, Scrabble, dice, billiards or board games, even local neighborhood football is used for gambling so it has always had this emotional attachment to it.

Local gambling has even more attachment than what you see in online because here you see the person who has won money out of you and you have such kind of feeling of aspersion on the person, some express hate from time to time or it even leads to fighting where there is disagreement or misunderstanding. So local gambling is more hitted because it is face to face gambling.
568  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Would you quit gambling for a friend? on: February 11, 2024, 06:16:00 AM

This guy hasn't caused any trouble to his friends but it's a worrying situation to see him waste most of his salary every month... So now the other guys were contemplating to quit their poker playing hobby because it was really affecting their friend negatively. And they had a somewhat regular get-together to play poker with very small stakes just for the fun of it. It's a petty that they might have to abandon their poker games but to them it's either that or abandoning their friend and worsening his compulsion.

Don't we think the friends were also contemplating that they may also be affected negatively like their friends for a game that started for them as fun but has metamorphose into something that the friend can no longer stop himself from doing and betting hugely which is now affecting him.

So I feel some of the friends are not sure of not being addict themselves if they continued playing afterall the friend started by playing for fun, otherwise I don't see a reason they are quitting because of just the friend. If they are confident not to also be affected, they wouldn't have stopped. For example, people don't stop drinking because a friend has stopped it or that a friend vomits anytime he was drunk. Except when you decide by your own conviction.
569  Local / Politics and society (Naija) / Re: The need to acquire an asset now on: February 10, 2024, 10:35:50 PM

The time is now to start thinking about the future and stop living extravagant lifestyles trying to impress people who wouldn't even know how you are doing when you peradventurely fall.

If for one thing, to live a life of trying to impress others is not the best and the thing go make the person become the shadow of himself and won't progress because you go always dey want to satisfy people from the eyes wey dem don dey look you. To live and claim wetin you no be means you go always dey keep that same lifestyle going. Some people dey buy drink for others and spend real money for public but for home dem no fit take care of the wife and children. Some men self dey borrow people money to solve problem because dem don make demselves look like big boys but for deir family dem no fit support people wey need same help. So leaving the life wey no be your own, you have to sustain it out of your level wey be your real placement or status.
570  Local / Nigeria (Naija) / Re: If Bitcoin was not eligible to give ROI would you still want to own any Bitcoin on: February 10, 2024, 08:01:16 PM

Honestly from the view of things, We can tell that majority of people who are currently into Bitcoin are mostly their for the benefit and purpose of growing their investment portfolio over time.

Of course every body want better life, if btc no dey give guys cash out how person go dey invest on am. Like if you carry money go put for Naira and inflation go catch am the thing useless. Now when you keep money for btc as e be now wey the coin dey bull, you go get enough profit depending on how much wey you invest . And if you still see say the price want drop, you can tether it for USDT that one go stable the coin from losing value. However, people dey like to hodl for btc when bull season dey but no be when bear dey.
571  Local / Nigeria (Naija) / Re: Matters Arising. on: February 10, 2024, 05:18:10 PM

last last the match go pass

Na the message be this oo. Omo me I no dey watch Nigerian match with such anxiety again oo not to talk of any other football match. I fit get interest watch but no be the one wey I go put every "heart" inside am, nooo.

The country wey you dey patriotic for wey the leaders no want do the right thing abi. Dem rig themselves into office and things keep getting out of hand na so every thing cost.

Anyway, the thing wey the super eagles fit do na to put effort together make them see say dem carry the cup so that at least it will be dedicated to those wey die and their memory go live on.

572  Other / Off-topic / Re: i need product:) on: February 10, 2024, 02:22:03 PM
You don't have to depend on this platform alone for such if you are genuine in your endeavour. E-commerce is better marketed in social media space so use your handle to market through your social media friends in Facebook, YouTube, X etc. There you have friends who already know you either physically and you can relate with them P2P, your worth will be appreciated with them more.
I think asking that here is not a bad thing, there's no harm in asking here, even though the market on social media is bigger.
but maybe he might find a partner here, who knows, right?

Yeah. I think I didn't ask him outrightly not to request here but I mean he shouldn't depend on the platform and like you admitted, he needs the social media more for the kind of product he would be looking for. He needs people who might want to see him physically especially if they are in close location. Moreover, pictures and his picture are selling point for people to know him.
573  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Selling a property to play gamble on: February 10, 2024, 11:51:11 AM

Going out of your way just to stake or make gambling bets is an unhealthy practice as people are advised to gamble responsibly by staking what they can afford to lose. The reason why people stake beyond their pockets is because they have their judgement clouded their ability to recognize that they could possibly lose it all.

The effect of greed is the reason that people gamble irresponsibly. When you are having such huge agenda in your mind that the next game is likely the one that will give you the jackpot you have been aiming for a longtime then you are going to continue even when you are losing. Another reason is you are gambling with the hope to use the profit for personal financial challenges, chasing of loses will become the order because the emotion becomes the controlling factor.
574  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Does even freezing a customer's account curb irresponsible gambling? on: February 10, 2024, 09:34:06 AM
If suddenly you went on a binge-gambling out of a lack of self-control or something else. For example, you deposit money in rapid succession after a series of losses and the casino management freezes your account. And when you call their customer support, they tell you that your account has been frozen for 3 weeks and the reason why they carried out that measure was because they suspected that you were gambling irresponsibly and decided to take that measure so that you can call yourself back to order, will you feel furious, cuss out, sign out of your account and register on another casino and continue betting. Does even freezing a customer's account curb irresponsible gambling or betting addiction?

I know this is a hypothetical question because casino won't have to stop you from gambling the way you are because it is your money and in fact they won't you to gamble more and your chances of winning is limited.

However, for the response to such action, I think it depends on the person involved. An irate person will get angry about that and an addict also will not find it funny but someone who is a moderate gambler will not be abusive but will look inward to himself and make his amendment to his gambling activities.

576  Local / Politics and society (Naija) / Re: A better leadership,a better Nigeria. on: February 10, 2024, 06:26:16 AM
The leadership challenge for Nigeria na big problem, is like many people just dey corrupt because youth self dey want collect deir own as we don see for the current administration and no wonder dem dey threaten to kill people for the election. The funny thing again be say as dem don begin electoral reform, dem don leave the real challenge of the election wey be electronic voting and transmission real time, dem don leave the hitches but talking about putting all federal elections together one day. Na frivolities wey the parliaments dey dance on.
577  Local / Nigeria (Naija) / Re: How dollar rise take affect the prices of things? on: February 09, 2024, 10:07:37 PM

I wan really ask how dollar wey oyibo Dy use Dy take Dy affect the prices of goods and services for our country because if to say na only goods wey dem import I for say na the exchange rate when making payment but how e take affect things wey we they source raw materials locally come produce here like garri, rice, indomie, cloths, and other things

As Nigeria dey so now, na two things dey make price high and them be fuel price and dollar to Naira exchange rate. Okay for the fuel price now, when transportation put money because of say transporters buy fuel high so market people too go add money for wetin them too dey sell because them need to cut cost too, nobody want gree for anybody.

For dollar own nko, we sabi say naija no dey produce something and so most of the things wey we dey use na by import and you have to buy dollar to do that so it gives dollar more value than Naira plus the politicians wey dey store dollar for their houses. Some politicians and governors no dey use naira but dollars and that further weakens the Naira. Some countries wey dey serious dey use their currency for anything dem want do.
578  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: If I bet big I lose, but if I bet small I win on: February 09, 2024, 08:52:21 PM

Does the casino system/algorithm know the betting patterns we make? So often when we bet big we are given a loss and when our bet is small we actually win, which is very annoying

Such feeling is normal in gambling but I don't think it has to do with the casino system or any thing. Winning is by chance and it means it comes with anything. You can bet small or big and the outcome will be what it has been destined to be. Now in such circumstances that one is confused on the size of bet to win from and those which he is losing, it is better to stay with what profits you. If you have been winning small then stick with the small and continue accumulating with the small profit, consistency matters and before a little while you can have accumulated fund that you don't expect to have. They say a little drop of water can make ocean.
579  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Waste of resources at parents disrupting their children dreams for self interest on: February 09, 2024, 08:17:02 PM

Now that she is being forced by her parents at what she doesn't have desires for, her obsession towards her passionate dreams would definitely not let her concentrate on her studies as she keep grumbling that she would dropout of the school somedays if her parents persists she must go to the university.

They say what the old person see while seating, the young won't see it while standing. I believe the parents have more futuristic reasons to want her to be educated. Given that the parents should not be the one to choose a course of study for her but they realise that education shouldn't be relegated in people's lives despite that there are no white collar jobs but to be educated is another assets itself and that is why even the wealthy business men still find out time go back to school after dropping out in their early school days

So in her case too, I believe education is important in person's life. She should look for how to study in fashion courses or related courses so that she will gain better knowledge. The area of her interest can be studied in the university. If someone has opportunity to go to school, let them go because the future is not certain for anyone.
580  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Africa Football Discussion || Current Topic: AFCON 2023 on: February 09, 2024, 07:21:53 PM
This same South Africa we are talking about is also pissed about how Nigeria defeated them and I believe they have started threatening Nigerians living in their country that same day. Of recent they started threatening our goalkeeper (Nwabali) which we know plays for one of the clubs (Chippa United) in South Africa, I can't understand how childish they are to always pour their anger on us (Nigerians) each time we defeat them and CAF won't do anything to stop this or even our president.

Government of both countries should make sure such threat doesn't extent to losing of life. Nigeria has already lost some people from heart attacks during the match either because of anxiety. It is enough and we don't want to lose more people for a game that should bring joy to the people and not sorrow. Instead of threat we should rather look for ways to win next time because it is a game that will return every two years. South Africa played very well and it was a matter of luck that Nigeria escaped, so should look forward to next time and not to spike up xenophobic again.
