So, Germany is legalising weed. Just wanted to mention.  Grin

If regulation is not a problem, I will open up my own shop and accept BTC. I would love to be known as the first guy in history with the first weed shop which accepts BTC in Germany. Any interested investors?  Grin

Well, physicists tell us that the DIAMETER of the observable Universe is 90 bil light years. I am not sure how they derived this number considering that it is only 13.8 bil years old, as you probably meant. You are absolutely right that it is most likely MUCH bigger (beyond the observable part).

Well, like, yeah... If you want to be pedantic, I'm referencing the ~13 bil year old arrow of time expanding outwards in all directions to create a presumably spherical volume - What lays beyond the known volume of space/time sorta question type deal?

I think the diameter of the universe being ESTIMATED to 93+ Billion LY is way off. If the universe is non local, then there is no middle, because everywhere is the middle. So space is infinite and everywhere. The big bang also happened everywhere. There is no edge of spacetime because its everywhere. So, infinite.

And here's the kicker: Because space is expanding at an accelerated rate faster than the speed of light means that the light, which is too far away, will never reach us.

Some eminent theoretical physicists say the whole universe might be a two-dimensional surface, like a hologram.

Well the higher dimensions are built on the lower ones so that does sound very logical. Can't have 3D without adding a dimension to 2D. If you go further, 2D is built upon 1D which is built upon 0D, which is just a point without size or axis. If you think of it in terms of a graph, a point becomes the graph itself.
3464  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Mixer Detection in 2021 on: November 18, 2021, 12:16:48 PM
I think mixers are easy to detect when the transaction either comes directly from e.g. a CoinJoin or from a known mixer's wallet. I've never studied mixing heuristic analysis but I think it's not impossible to find at least few of the addresses a mixer owns?

Anyway, I think the easiest way to hide this history is just bouncing your mixed BTC from address to address. After a few days of every-now-and-then bounces, I doubt anyone will have a clue. Perhaps this is a tactic also used by mixers?

I'd be curious to know the answer as well. There most likely still are patterns through which they can find the origin of an address's coins.

I think coinjoin detection might be a less bigger issue than it was before the new taproot update. And I am sure there is an algorithm to generate new bitcoin addresses so that you can't link the new addresses with mixer owned-addresses.

But then again, I am no heuristics analyst either. But I do have faith in the community developing better ways of sustaining bitcoins anonymity. Otherwise the governments and regulators would already have ruined the game for us.
3465  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Be careful with the hype on: November 18, 2021, 12:12:57 PM
There are always clues as to whether a project is worth investing into or not. The hype itself is usually fabricated in complicated ways, but almost always based on buying followers and generic comments like "great project" "awesome" "amazing" and so on. Always be on the lookout because these bought followers are never true fans and their hype feels very fake. So be on the lookout.

The only real (organic) hype I would also stay away from is from meme coins and NFTs.
3466  Economy / Economics / Re: US could run out of cash as soon as Dec. 15, Janet Yellen warns on: November 18, 2021, 12:08:26 PM
I think this news is a bit unnecessarily alarmist. Whenever the US government starts facing a cash crises they always find a way to pawn off the debt in complicated ways. I think they will just print more money, therefore dropping the value of the USD via inflation and the ones who will have to foot the bill will be the citizens of the US. That way the dollar amount debt they owe stays the same but loses value at the same time.

And bread and milk at the supermarket rises in price, the unemployment rate up down because the companies can't handle the inflation without firing people and now you have more people on the streets.

James Webb telescope on track for launch 18 Dec next month.

Webb will have significantly larger field of view than the NICMOS camera on Hubble and better spatial resolution than is available with the infrared Spitzer telescope.

JWST will see light that's nearly 13.7 billion years old, thats when the earliest stars and planets were born. So we will be able to look 13.7 b years into our past to see celestial objects that have by now fizzled out and died billions of years ago. For reference our universe is 13.8 billion years old. So we will see light that has been travelling from almost the edge of the universe, for 13.7 billion years, until it finally reached our tiny corner of space.
3468  Local / Trading und Spekulation / Re: Daymak: Mit seinem Auto Krypto minen / 2023 on: November 17, 2021, 04:02:49 PM

Roll Eyes Roll Eyes
3469  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: transferring from trustwallet to metamask on: November 17, 2021, 03:48:42 PM
You seem to be misunderstanding the concept of wallets. The wallet itself is decentralised. Both Trustwallet as well as Metamask are just user interfaces with which you can perform functions like trading/swapping/sending/recieving and more. There isn't anything that you need to transfer unless you suspect that your wallet seed phrase might be compromised. In which case, yes, transfer your assets to a new wallet...

Otherwise, as people here have mentioned, you can just connect to a new interface like metamask without needing to move any assets.

I would recommend you do some reading and learn about Metamask first, as it is difficult to navigate compared to Trustwallet.
3470  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: 5.5 ETH Prize for solving this riddle! ($NoOne) on: November 17, 2021, 03:35:21 PM
"You have to own 50m NoOne tokens to participate"

RED FLAG. I have taken a look at NoOne and it seems like it is not a serious project, has absolutely almost no community and is demanding people to buy their tokens to participate in some BS riddle competition. I cannot find any info on the team or even a whitepaper of any kind. If I had to guess I would say this looks like a scam that will run away with the money they got from duping contest participants into buying and holding their coin.

I WOULD RECOMMEND EVERYONE TO STAY AWAY until there is more info that proves the legitimacy of the team, the project or at least a verified escrow service/person who holds the winnings until there is a winner.

DO NOT CONNECT YOUR WALLET ON THIS SITE OR GIVE AWAY YOUR SEED PHRASE
3471  Economy / Economics / Re: Credit cards | A scam or a tool? on: November 17, 2021, 03:24:18 AM
Credit cards are a debt trap and completely not secure at all. Here is a good short explainatory video on the security of credit cards: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yDOtENyOxyA

I would not call it a scam but rather a tool, for the banks to push you into a hole of unending debt. Why else would they combine integrated loans with banking services? Obviously its an easy way to lure people into taking loans with high interest rates and why? Because its convienient. Especially for people who don't understand how loans work and see credit cards as a magic piece of plastic that gives you free money.

3472  Bitcoin / Wallet software / Re: Please suggest on saving fees on Trustwallet on: November 16, 2021, 01:55:42 PM
I don't really understand why you limit yourself to pancakeswap when you can use an aggregator service like 1inch to find the best price in a number of swaps. Trustwallet already has 1inch integrated into its swap system so you don't even need to connect your wallet to 1inch manually. I use BSC and I find the swap fees more than fair. Perhaps a little bit more expensive than on CEXs but only barely. I always check to see if my recieved coins will be worth the swap. They usually are. But always check, because if the liquidity is low, you will pay more for coins than they are worth.

Fees are much higher on USDT because its on the ethereum chain and therefor the gas price is also included. So swaps are much more expensive. I recommend staying on BSC and using BUSD or some other chain with lower transaction fees instead.
3473  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Binance vs Kucoin vs FTX... Which to go with (KYC non issue)? on: November 16, 2021, 01:46:05 PM
I don't think that the 1 BTC limit will stay as it is for KuCoin. They might pull a Binance and set a ridiculous limit like 0.06 BTC or less without informing their userbase Angry. I am currently using my own wallet (trustwallet) and trading using 1inch (already integrated into trustwallet swaps). You can be certain that you won't be hacked unless you do something silly like give away your seed phrase, interact with suspicious smart contracts or use suspicious swap sites. As far as cash withdrawals, you can use p2p and a trusted escrow service.

Also ich möchte meinen Beitrag berichtigen:

ann:(https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5166464.0).
200 € Tageslimit ohne KYC

Angry
3477  Economy / Economics / Re: Elon musk now the richest man in earth on: November 15, 2021, 02:34:18 PM
~

Also, I doubt very much that Elon Musk will ever succumb to actually selling any of his stock or Bitcoins, unless he absolutely has to. I remember watching a interview video where he explains to the rude karens of the world, that he does not pay taxes because he does not sell his stock. Even when his stock was plummeting and all hope seemed to be lost. He never sold.

He only sells if he has to, because of the expiring options. Other than that, he has always been very very loyal. So I feel that his Bitcoin will be hodled, possibly for the next 100 years.

We should all strive to be like him. Grin

Well, some of us just can't do that. From time to time we encounter situations when we need cash and we don't have it, and there's no place to borrow from. That's when we cash out, even knowing perfectly that the price is much lower than it will(most likely) be in several months.

But this guy, Elon Musk, never being short of cash, he can afford such behavior.

Regarding taxes, he's going to pay them soon:

Elon Musk on Wednesday sold about 900,000 shares of the electric carmaker's stock, netting over $1.1 billion (€960 million), to pay tax obligations for stock options. Earlier in the week, his trust sold nearly 3.6 million shares in Tesla, worth around $4 billion

Thats not what I meant. I can fully understand and appreciate the situation of people who need to cash out to finance their own lives, that is very familiar to me as I have experienced it before as well. What I meant by my last post was that Elon Musk has poured his trust into his ventures and has not shown cowardice or pulled out even when most of us would have experienced great fear and cashed out. He has also never been driven by greed or selfishness. So what I meant by being like Elon Musk is being a grounded, steady person who sees things through, to the end.
3478  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Should we buy tokens for young projects? on: November 15, 2021, 02:30:08 PM
I think this is a difficult question, isn't it too big a risk to invest in projects that are just being developed? On the other hand, if the project has a good roadmap and a promising team, then you can invest and get good profit in the future. By the way, it seems to me that the CheckDot project, which is associated with the verification of other crypto projects, may be quite promising in terms of investments.

What do you think about this issue? Do you invest in young and just starting projects?

I think it depends. Would I want to invest into something that has no track record or any kind of profits coming in? Perhaps, but only very very low amounts. The risk for failure is too great. I prefer Projects that have shown to be profitable and popular with the community. This is like 10% of all good projects, at the very most. So if you invest in 10 new projects that you deem very good, you might lose 90% of your investments. Too risky for me :/
3479  Local / Altcoins (Deutsch) / Re: cryptoWine on: November 15, 2021, 02:17:06 PM
3480  Economy / Speculation / Re: What make people panic sell? on: November 15, 2021, 02:07:13 PM
There are many reasons that make most people panic selling, maybe one of them is because people are pressed because of the economy, because of the needs of their families, and there is also the influence of people who post negative things about bitcoin, thus making him panic, and immediately sell, because he is afraid of the price. down again..

More than purely the need's of someones family or economic fears, I would probably say the first and foremost issue are impulsive reactions to something they saw or heard. Its always impulse that makes a bad trade rather than keeping on following a certain strategy. They see something bad about Bitcoin on the news channel, they run to their computer or pick up their phone to press the sell button without second thought. Its just human nature.
