No, kslaughter has 7 slots at 8.25 Bitcoins (BTC) per slot. Right. If anyone thinks that kslaughter won't pay, you can bid a lower amount. If kslaughter doesn't pay, I will probably ask the remaining highest bidders if they're interested in the slots. May I suggest a new bidding system to theymos: I'm planning to create a similar automated system in the future.

I restored it. It was probably deleted (not by kiba) because the link in the OP is blogspam. The discussion is good, though.

am i allowed to mark neg feedback on a suspected troller?
It's allowed, but I doubt anyone is going to trust your ratings if you do that.

The words have different meanings, though. Compare "private interview" to "personal interview" or "private locker" to "personal locker". Something private isn't expected to be made public, but something personal is only owned by or associated with a single person, not necessarily with a strong guarantee of privacy.

hennessyhemp's bids were false, which might have unfairly affected the price. Does anyone who bid here want to restart the auction due to this?

There is no restriction against it. PM = Personal Message, not Private Message.

I believe signing in counts as a "post".
True. I should change that so only failed login attempts count.

As a compromise date format, we should use "13/07-15/15-07/2013". Then no one could possibly be confused.

I'm not a fan of democracy, and this position isn't particularly important, but this election should be pretty interesting. It'll be the first big election in the Bitcoin ecosystem. There should be a lot of nice drama. Has anyone announced their candidacy yet? Who do you guys think will run/win? - gmaxwell says that he will not run - Erik Voorhees would stand a good chance if he's interested - Luke-Jr? - jgarzik? - Mike Hearn? - casascius? - ?

Doesn't the Press section already use the standard date format? What's the problem?

(Keep in mind that this forum does not use a user specific salt.)
Yes, it does. Even unimportant sites should use a reasonably strong password-hashing scheme IMO. People often use the same password for many sites, so a security breach on even an unimportant site can hurt a lot of people.

I was referring to habeel. Your bids are fine.

You're too new and I don't know what you're advertising. I don't accept your bid. Current state: Slots BTC/slot Person 7 6.75 kslaughter

Will it stop these incessant virus PMers that seem to be trading and/or hacking forum accounts?
No. 2FA is useless against phishing sites.
|
|
|
This does not help much. They can use phished accounts to spam.
It's much more expensive for them to obtain phished accounts than it is for me to ban them.

Doesn't seem down to me.

I've adjusted the limits to make spamming more difficult. Activity | Min. seconds between post actions | Max PM recipients | PMs per hour | 0 | 360 | 3 | 5 | 16 | 74 | 5 | 30 | 30 | 60 | 5 | 60 | 60 | 30 | 5 | 60 | 100 | 12 | 10 | 120 | 200 | 10 | 15 | 120 | 300 | 8 | 20 | 120 |

would you let an advert for www.altcointalk.co.uk be an advert ? ( altcointalk.co.uk is only about altcoins and will help remove clutter from your forum ) Yes.

If we went back in time and sabotaged this miner so that he didn't get a block, things would be exactly the same in the short-term. The blocks before and after this block would be created at the same times as they were here. Unconfirmed transactions wouldn't get confirmed any faster. Obviously it'd be even better if he accepted transactions instead of ignoring them, but he's not actually preventing transactions from being confirmed.

In den Standarteinstellungen ist niemand aus dem deutschen Bereich drin. D.h. Standardmäßig werden von niemandem von uns die Ratings als Trusted bewertet.
phantastisch is in the default trust list. It is particularly important for non-English users to cultivate good trust lists, though; I can't effectively do it for them.
