Can we report other users posting their goods/services here?

How do you know that most of the newbies were buying at last week's "peak"?
Can you still call them newbies if you are saying "just like they thought for 2017 bull run"?

Crypto is not a get rich quick ponzi
There are plenty of ponzi operators out there using crypto for their get-rich-quick investment scheme.

3567  Economy / Reputation / Re: Overview of recent username changes in Bitcointalk on: January 12, 2020, 08:00:22 AM
The other old usernames should be retired also. They shouldn't be used again.

Other old usernames can't be use to register again and while others can be (case to case basis). It all just comes down to their reason why.

Each user has a display name, which is the only name ordinary users see, and a username, which is what you use to log-in with. Almost always, they are the same.

If I change a name for reasons of appearance, then I only change the display name. The username remains reserved, the user can still login using the username, PMs can still be sent to that username, "search member" allows searching for the old username, etc.

If I change a name for reasons of privacy, then I change both the username and the display name. In this case, it is possibly hazardous to reserve the old username, since it allows someone to test for the existence of that username, possibly defeating the privacy benefit. If you're worried about being impersonated, then simply don't seek to have your username changed.
I missed that thread but I was actually thinking about retiring usernames of those who changed for privacy reasons.

Anyways, the account registered by @asu under micgoossens username is autobanned by some logical mod around.~

This is where TA comes in handy lalo na sa monitoring ng volume.

From the article published last year
1. Tom Lee’s Bitcoin Price Prediction ($14,000)
2. Ronnie Moas ($28,000) vs. Vinny Lingham (under $28,000)
3. John McAfee’s Bitcoin Price Prediction ($1,000,000)
4. Fran Strajnar’s Bitcoin Price Prediction ($200,000)
5. Ivan on Tech’s Bitcoin Price Prediction (“stable”)

$14K is the most realistic for me.
3575  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Scam of the Decade: the Story of a Doctor of Law Who Organized the OneCoin Ponzi on: January 11, 2020, 07:54:48 AM

WTF investors were doing in the past when they can't even learn from what already happened with bigcoin. That's a really good article to read and i think the biggest scam in the world like plustoken and bitconnect must be revealed in a nice article like this one.
When people are blinded by greed and ignorance, you can't expect them to think rationally. This human nature/weakness will always be exploited by scammers. As long as there will be new people who will fall for it, I'm pretty sure there will be plenty of "new" ponzi schemes that will come out. Some of them might be bigger than onecoin or bitconnect.
3576  Local / Pamilihan / Re: Magsasara na ang Cobinhood Exchange on: January 11, 2020, 05:53:10 AM
So they will re-opened on feb 10 2020, that's just one month of closing, they are not stating the reason of the shut down so people will speculate, my speculation is that probably there's a transition going on and it will be under a new management.
They filed bankruptcy from the news article I shared in the OP. The reopening on Feb. 10 is to allow users there to withdraw funds after audit. I'm not sure though whether someone else will purchase the exchange.

~ Dapat mage mail sila sa ibang investor or trader nila since 1month lang ang palugid and Madaming investor ang hindi pa active sa crypto ulit as they prefer to hold.
This is the right thing to do. Few minutes after their announcement, baka nag-email blast na din sila sa mga account holders.

Every january of the new year lagi nalang may nagsasarang exchange, last year cryptopia ngayun naman cobinhood.
3577  Local / Others (Pilipinas) / Re: Getting closer on being a Legendary on: January 11, 2020, 05:17:17 AM
Congrats!

COBINHOOD Exchange is shutting down and auditing all accounts' balances from Jan 10 to Feb 9 in 2020. It will be re-opened on Feb 10, 2020. All COBINHOOD users can then retrieve their funds accordingly. Please DO NOT make any deposits; it may result in permanent loss.

~
Update 2: Here's the latest announcement.

3579  Local / Pilipinas / Re: Isang sikat, willing tumanggap ng bitcoin! on: January 10, 2020, 11:36:18 AM

3580  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: 99% of Ethereum, Litecoin, EOS Volume is Likely Fake: Report on: January 10, 2020, 11:18:52 AM

No doubt this will generate much controversy.
Or it will just be shrugged of as another inaccurate news just like other articles on the internet.

But seriously, how true is this analysis?
Just like the title, the analysis opinion is likely fake.
