2621  Other / Meta / Re: [TELEGRAM] Yet Another BitcoinTalk Notification BOT (merits, mentions, topics,+) on: August 27, 2020, 11:50:08 AM
~
It's still there. You can go to "Notifications" and click "Enable ModLogs" to enable it. A bit hidden but I will make it better. Cheesy
Oh I see. I was wondering what the modlog is for when I was exploring the new bot but got a bit cautious and didn't click Grin Thanks.

How many characters fits in the new bot by the way?

~
What do you mean? If you're talking about the post notification length, it's the same 150 characters.
Exactly what I meant.
2622  Other / Meta / Re: [TELEGRAM] Yet Another BitcoinTalk Notification BOT (merits, mentions, topics,+) on: August 27, 2020, 11:36:58 AM
I received notification for V2 and had to input username and ID again. I didnt even notice the change as I was still getting notified from V1 bot.

One thing I noticed with V2 is that the feature monitoring deleted posts is gone. Is it something you plan on putting back?
2623  Economy / Lending / Re: What's point of collateral loans? WHO will Take loans? on: August 27, 2020, 11:18:33 AM
It's used as a protection to the lender in case the borrower defaults.

Collateral also increases the borrower's chance for getting the loan.

Instead of selling property for cash in cases of emergency, a person would rather borrow and use the property as a collateral. Once the loan is due, borrower will have to return the cash to the lender (with or without interest) while the lender will return the property to the borrower.

In case of crypto lending, if a borrower don't want to sell his coin or token yet but is in need of immediate btc (to be converted to fiat), he can also offer it as a collateral. It usually happens when borrower believes the coin or token will pump someday and want to hodl.
2624  Economy / Services / Re: Luckybit Twitter campaign round 2 on: August 26, 2020, 03:28:08 PM
For some reason, I've been left out by Luckybit on week 1 payment.

Looks like I'm the only unlucky one  Grin

Edit: week 1 payment received on my account. Thanks yahoo and luckybit admin.
2625  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2020/2021 on: August 26, 2020, 12:23:11 AM
It's going to be Liverpool vs. City battling for the title for the nth time while the rest is for 3rd and 4th.

Impressive achievement for the Wolves last season buy I don't think they'll have a repeat of that success. They can still dream though and be like Leicester.

I'm not updated with what's happening with Chelsea club. Are they allowed to bring in new players now?
2626  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: The UFC Info and Prediction Thread on: August 26, 2020, 12:15:02 AM
Strange that no one excited to see Robbie Lawler vs Neil Magny fight. Lawler is a veteran of MMA sports that has been in business for 20 years.
No, it's the fight that first caught my attention when I saw the card. We know what he brings to the octagon whenever he fights. I don't remember seeing him again after that fight with Askren. He really looked good there.

~ Anthony Smith (33-15) is coming from lose in fight against Teixeira in May.
Aleksandar Rakic (12-2) also lost last fight against Volkan Oezdemir, but has won four previous UFC fights.
Is this the first ever main UFC card where both fighters came from a loss? No offense to both fighters and their supporters.
2627  Local / Others (Pilipinas) / Re: Blockchain on Online Classes for Computer Studies on: August 25, 2020, 11:53:23 PM

2629  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Casinos that accept ERC20s on: August 24, 2020, 04:31:30 PM
Other than USDT, you probably won't see other erc-20's in most centralized online casinos.

Why not start your search on DappRAdar? The site lists gambling dapps from different blockchains but it's dominated by Eos and Tron. I'm not sure why but only a few devs are into eth-based gambling, maybe it's because of the fees.
2630  Other / Meta / Re: All blame to bounty hunters. on: August 24, 2020, 10:27:11 AM
~ We cannot blame other users for doing shitposts because English is not their language to which others are doing the google translation as part of their initiative to make a post in this forum.
Before applying for a task that requires you to post in English and you know that you're not good at it, your first goal should be to improve your English correct? Anyone will most likely post shit if he/she doesn't completely understand what the topic is all about (because english).
2631  Local / Pilipinas / Re: P60 Million Worth of Gift Card Scam - Converted To Bitcoin on: August 24, 2020, 09:36:07 AM

2633  Other / Ivory Tower / Re: Is there a mobile Tor browser? on: August 23, 2020, 10:31:39 AM
@Jet Cash thanks. I actually ended up downloading Firefox lite and using it right now (not good for browsing the forum though). The Tor browser I was talking about was also the one mentioned in the article.

I tried Brave before and yes, it doesn't support Tor yet.

@friends1980 I've seen Orbot pop up while I was searching. I was hoping I could see a stand alone app.
2634  Economy / Web Wallets / Re: Freewallet.org - "missing" tokens for 1.5 months on: August 23, 2020, 08:53:28 AM
@stuartgh, what freewallet is really saying is that you won't have your token unlesss OCTb tokens becomes a thing. Ask OCTb token team to work their asses off and list in on decent exchanges.
2635  Other / Meta / Re: A reply of yours, quoted below, was deleted by a Bitcoin Forum moderator. on: August 23, 2020, 08:39:28 AM
I have a question regarding deleting posts and i hope it is relevant too.
If anyone report a post, is it deleted on the basis of how many members reported it or it can be deleted on the basis of a single report ?
It's better for a mod to answer but AFAIK, it's not about the number.

A comment that has been reported multiple times would probably be more noticeable in mod's dashboard (or whatever they call it) but they will still examine the validity of the report.

If the reason is valid, one report should be enough to delete a post.

There are also times when two users report a comment for different reasons. One can be marked as bad and the other as good depending on the accuracy.
2636  Other / Ivory Tower / Is there a mobile Tor browser? on: August 23, 2020, 08:10:20 AM
I was searching for a lighter browser on playstore and one tor browser shows up. It has 5M+ downloads according to the info provided which tells me it's probably legit. I clicked install to see if it would ask more permission and true enough, it's asking for access to photos/media/files. I don't know but it kinda feel weird for a Tor browser to ask for that.
2637  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Crypto Twitter on: August 22, 2020, 03:43:48 PM
I got Twitter on my phone because I think its a good way to get a quick glance at the markets of bitcoin and crypto without having to navigate a forum. And its also more accurate than some of the Crypto news websites out there.
I don't know about accuracy but there are a lot of contents on crypto news sites that were taken from twitter.

So if there was some major price boom or crash, you can quickly go to Twitter and check and see what happened pretty quickly. Going on bitcointalk with a phone would be much more work since its harder to navigate rather than just needing to scroll down.
True. Basically, all things about crypto spreads fast on twitter including rumors on exchange hacks and code vulnerabilities.
2638  Economy / Games and rounds / Re: I am bored : Win 0.01 BTC [Raffle to raise fund for Project Covid-19] on: August 22, 2020, 02:20:22 PM
~
Yeah, this was a surprise to me. Maybe I could not make it much interesting. Anyway, since we already started, let's see it's end.
Perhaps. If the prize would be BTC1 for .BTC001, I'm sure slots will be filled in an instant lol.

If this doesn't gain traction, just add my entry fee to the covid donation pool.

Cheers!
2639  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Top CEX racing to list the most DEFI tokens on: August 22, 2020, 02:12:12 PM
~ Speaking of which, I have some ETH left over from some stupid deal I did a couple of years ago... so if this defi shitwave lifts ETH I won't feel too sorry dumping it.
Moon boys wouldn't care if they're getting dumped on I guess  Grin
I'm surprised you didn't sell all when it was $1k+.

DeFi hype will surely fall in next line but since we are fully aware on how this market works then it wont matter as long you do know on when to get out and make profits.
You might be fully aware about how the DeFi market works (I'm assuming that's what you meant), but I'm sure as hell not.  I've done just a little bit of reading on it and have an extremely low-level understanding of how it's supposed to function, but the vibe I'm getting from it feels very much like the ICO craze, which has been mentioned multiple times in this thread alone.
Well. I've also spent time reading about DeFi and I still can't wrap my head around it....but I don't think @stomachgrowls is even talking about DeFi market specifically. He's probably describing the altcoins market which mostly consists of pumped and dumped projects. It's just a matter of which type of tokens will be the new trend. After ICO and before DeFi, deflationary tokens also had a short stint but you probably never heard of them  Grin
