2761  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: This Ripple executive should not be praising China on: July 21, 2020, 01:34:01 PM
Appreciating efforts of the Chinese Government in implementing blockchain and digital currencies is not a bad thing and does not necessarily violate any law or that executive order. I'd say that Ripple executive is playing it safe with the US while maintaining a positive view of China. We never know what's going to happen in the future. Who knows if Trump will remain as POTUS or if China suddenly opens more opportunities for crypto companies.

Aside from the main event and Werdum vs Gustafsson, what interests me is that new guy from the Welterweight division ~ Khamzat Chimaev. This young man is very hungry for victory, he already got a 7 - 0 wins streak. 4 of them by knockout and 3 of them by submission, Shocked. What a well rounded guy. I will surely look forward in his upcoming match and see if he really got the champion caliber in his blood.
I haven't watched this guy but all fights ending up with finishes sounds interesting. He'll be a title challenger soon if he keeps winning impressively. Most casual & regular fight fans loves 'exciting to watch' fighters (finishers) and Dana knows that pretty well.

TMZ Sports interviewed Ali Abdelaziz, who said that McGregor must get past Islam Makhachev if he wants another crack at Khabib

Source https://www.mmanews.com/ali-abdelaziz-says-conor-mcgregor-must-fight-islam-makhachev-to-get-khabib-rematch/

Ali is just playing games and talk things that might prick Conor.
If this was done in a press conference with Conor in it, his response would probably be "who the foookt is that?".

I can say it adds more pressure.
Well, that is if Kawhi do know the word "pressure".
Looking at his facial expression, I doubt that.  Grin
Lol. I'm sure he feels it too but he just doesn't show it. It's another part of him that's makes him even more dangerous. He's so focused and doesn't usually get his emotion get the better of him during games. Men, I'm getting flashbacks of last season's game against the sixers when the ball bounced its way to the net.

Anyway, he's shown that he can lead a team and that he can be a good support when he was with Raptors. He doesn't try to outshine his teammates when they are having a good game but he also knows when to step up.

2764  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Blender v2.0 - The Most Anonymous and Secure Bitcoin Mixer on: July 20, 2020, 12:50:22 PM
~
Mixing a fee equal or lower to 0.001 is anyway free of charge.
Why btc for testing? since if it has been tested thousands of times already by devs !?
we are not here to buy followers or reviews, Blender is capable of proving authenticity with a minimum of 0.001btc.
We don't force people to believe we are legit, especially by giving out free btc to testers.
But since a Hero member insisted with such an unbelievable idea, we'll give out 10% return on transaction's equal to and not less than 0.001 btc, it wont be for any amount larger than 0.001. This stays for first 5 transactions only, if reported here or on email within a week.
I'm pretty sure you have tested it internally before announcing your mixer here but there's always that saying "do not trust, verify". It's good to know it's been done thousand of times (as you claim) but I do think it's better if members here can at least test and leave a honest feedback.

The free btc for testing (or reward) was mainly to help establish reputation and market your product here. Other mixers have done that in the past but if you think of it as "buying followers or reviews", then you're not being forced to do so. Best of luck finding users here.

2765  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Blender v2.0 - The Most Anonymous and Secure Bitcoin Mixer on: July 20, 2020, 09:52:16 AM
You mentioned about testing the mixer free of charge. Would you be willing to run a campaign here giving testers free btc (or a reward) for testing your blender?
2766  Other / Off-topic / Re: e-mail from Warren Buffett. Feels Funny?? on: July 20, 2020, 05:43:16 AM
Not an exact email but I've receive similar messages from scammers posing as famous people. We're smart enough not to fall for this kind of trickery but citizens from third world countries will most likely become victims, I'm not saying everyone will but greed and financial illiteracy is high on these area.

Anyone receiving these kinds of emails could mean their account have been pawned. Check if your account have been exposed on these sites:

If in case your email was pawned, read some guides in this article - What steps should you take when your email has been pwned?
2767  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: If bitcoin doesn't reach $500K in 3 years.... on: July 19, 2020, 01:48:47 PM
~ You are wrong about John McAfee being a "crypto personality". He is just a weird millionaire and made shit ton of money out for his crappy anti-virus program.
Considering how much money he got paid from shilling shitcoins, he's up there with other "influencers". Heck, I even saw some projects here with "McAffee supports" in their signature  Grin

He was high or drunk when he wrote that and it went viral. He probably decided to ride it as people were quoting and praising him for this bold prediction but then had to backtrack so instead of saying he was wrong,he chose the "angry way out" and attacked bitcoiners. Bitcoin is shit according to him, altcoins are better and it was all a lie to pump bitcoin.
Classic isn't it? Much like the other coin developers we see today who loved Bitcoin but.......they want to make money so they started recycling old issues.

~
In his case are not really mistakes, they're verified ways to attract attention on himself.
This kind of attention helped him earn quite a lot of money from small projects seeking advertising.
Don't underestimate this guy, he's an experienced salesman.
This.

2768  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2020 NBA Season on: July 19, 2020, 01:28:17 PM
~ Which one would likely happen based on your prediction?

Quote
1-The Raptors Will Emerge as Title Favorites
2-Boston's Other Star Wing Shines Brightest
3-Zion Powers the Pelicans to the Playoffs
4-Somebody Goes 0-8
5-Russell Westbrook Will Outperform James Harden
6-The Mavericks Will Finish with a Higher Playoff Seed Than the Nuggets
7-Giannis and LeBron Combine to Play Fewer Than 8 Games
8-The Anonymous Hotline Will Have a Major Impact
9-Damian Lillard Will Average 40 Points Per Game
10-The Sixers Don't Improve Their Playoff Seed
Crossed out what I think will not happen instead  Grin
  • Zion won't be back in good shape if he ever decides to play the remainder of the season. If ever Pelicans make it, it's not going to be because of him.
  • Westbrook thrives when he's the one holding the ball. He won't have it with Harden being the preferred focal point of offense.
  • I don't think Lillard is mentally prepared for the NBA's restart.

I've seen a video of Booker recently and he looks good. It's going to be tough for him to carry Suns to the playoffs but it'd be fun to watch him go all out.

2769  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Why isn't crypto poker popular? on: July 19, 2020, 01:08:48 PM
I've had a conversation with friends a few days ago, and it was about online poker. The thing is, it seems that in online gambling in general poker is very popular and currently on the rise. For example, here's an article claiming that online poker is currently at its ATH. Hm, at the same time there are articles like this one claiming that it's in decline.
Skimmed thru the articles and here are the highlights for me:
1st article - Online Poker on the rise in Pennsylvania and New Jersey because of the pandemic.
2nd article - Online poker declined but still popular mainly because of regulation issues (it seems NJ and Pennsylvania are the only two states with favorable terms for online poker).

In that case, I have two questions.
1. Is online poker (in fiat casinos) one of the most popular games?
2. Why isn't poker particularly popular when it comes to crypto casinos?
It would be nice to know if these online poker casinos in the articles also offer cryptocurrencies. I think we'll have a better comparison if we have those data.

If we take NJ and Pennsylvania for example, I don't think players would actually care if it's fiat or it's crypto, they will still play online poker as long as they are allowed to do so.

^ Looks like a decent card with a good mix of veterans and upcoming fighters.

I'm not exactly a fan of Whittaker but I'm interested to see how he will bounce back after losing the belt. Former champs don't usually have a good comeback fights. Darren Till is one cocky fighter but he has the skills to back it up. Coming off a win against Gastelum after back-to-back losses against Woodley and Masvidal, he must have gotten his confidence back. I bet they'll stay true to their fighting style and slug it out and this will most likely end in a KO/TKO.

Di ko maalala specifically. Basta nag notification nalang months and months ago na lahat ng stocks na hawak ko will automatically be converted into BTC ata o PHP after a certain date.
They are good, lalo na yung legal department nila, at natunugan agad na under investigation nanaman sila.

Good on you na tinesting mo muna with a small amount. Baka mas malala pa pwedeng mangyari at maipit pondo mo dun kung sakali.

~
I just looked at the Twitter pages of both the CEO of Abra and the Company and wala kang makikitang tweets in relation sa naging charge sa kanila ng US SEC so mukhang hindi naman ganun kalala yung naging violation nila.
Damage control? The best way to do that is to show customers that it's "business as usual".

I have been asking before about Abra and have tried the app and I don't see anything that would make it "scammy" in a sense.
They're not scammy na kagaya nung mga ponzi schemes o yung mga nag-exit scam. They became a bit greedy in this case at inakala nilang malulusutan nila yung batas sa US regarding securities.

Is the usual stuff, people make outrageous claims but when they are asked for proofs you have to find it yourself as it's beyond their "duty" to inform you of that as well. He's not the first and he will not be the last, he strats with 1% of truth and ends up with a claim of bitcoin being a ponzi because a company that sells insurance in France is giving money to a group of people.  Grin

Oh, and no, OP is not part of the bsh bch groups, he is having his own dream of "proof of bandwidth"  in the P&D section but he's yet to understand that even his own project can turn into a monopoly without regulation. The same story, everyone who was late to the party has a solution to fix something that is not broken with something broken from the start.
Indeed, it's not the first post criticizing Bitcoin that I've seen here. They just come in to post crap without anything to back it up then fade away which kinda sucks because it would have been a good opportunity for a good discussion and learning (for them most especially).

I didn't realize it's another attempt to promote a "Bitcoin killer" like what the BCH/BSV cult group have been trying for years now. I should have checked OP's post history first

Deposits are processed automatically. Users need to be verified in order to request a withdrawal in accordance with our gaming license.

We have asked users for enhanced verification in the past when they requested very large deposit limits. Once users are verified we do not request further documentation when they win large and or wish to make large withdrawals. Please note that we also do not exclude winning players.
You need to change your T&C then. The current one implies that you will only require verification on certain cases and not mandatory for all withdrawals.

What's the difference between normal and enhanced verification?

You can enter the desired BTC withdrawal address prior to requesting a withdrawal. I will ask our legal team why the T&C state to only deposit from addresses you fully control.
You mean it doesn't have to be the same as the address used in depositing funds to PokerShare?

Look it up. The truth is out there
When you make outrageous claims such Blockstream controlling miners, you should at least provide a link. That way, readers can raise a counter argument.

Which of the bitcoin mining pools do they control?

I hope you're not using Ver's conspiracy theories as basis for your post.
2775  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: If bitcoin doesn't reach $500K in 3 years.... on: July 18, 2020, 01:36:26 PM
Well, we all know John McAfee is of the investors who truly believe is bitcoin, since he is expecting high price prices all the time.
Yet he called biitcoin a "true shitcoin" (Old, clunky, no security, no smart contracts, no DAPs) when he realized that his prediction won't materialize and he's about to lose his bet (eat his d*ck). Now that's a true "believer".

He's a paid shitcoin shill.

~ I didn't get any information whatsoever
Don't know what other information are you looking for but the odds for each candidate can be viewed even as a guest.

From your T&C:
Quote
If any amount is mistakenly credited to your Account we shall notify you and the amount will be withdrawn from your Account. If, for any reason, your Account goes overdrawn, you shall be in debt to us for the amount overdrawn.
Do you process payments manually? What do you do when users didn't submit any identification prior to withdrawal?

Quote
We reserve the right to request documentation to verify your identity prior to granting any withdrawals from your Account. We also reserve the right to request this documentation at any time during the lifetime of your relationship with us.
Can you please tell us the instances where you asked for verification? Does this include maximum withdrawals?

Quote
User must not transfer cryptocurrency to the address provided by PokerShares for the deposit purposes from a shared wallet or any other address not solely controlled by the user.
You might want to add an explanation why you don't allow direct deposits from exchange wallets or from other online casinos.

I'm guessing this is the case:
Quote
All withdrawals will be made to the original method of payment (deposit).

2777  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Poker site on: July 18, 2020, 12:02:23 PM

There've been poker tournaments on Sportsbet.io, but there's no poker anymore.
Thanks for that info.

~ Having proof that cards are 100% randomly shuffled is not giving us proof that site owner is not scamming by simply becoming one of players and knowing every other cards. That's enough to know when to bet, when to pass and win every tournament. Have you heard about anyone ever addressing this issue in online poker?
There may have been cases of site owners posing as one of the players (I'm not really sure) but I can't say if they also know the cards coming out. That's what RNG are for right? If you also doubt the fairness of the RNG, then just compete against players you know like the tournament exclusive for bitcointalk members or just play land-based.

Here's another site btw - PokerShares
They must have heard you  Grin

We know that he backtracked but I just want to remind everyone that even crypto personalities can't predict the market and they get it wrong most of the time. Do not fall for their "expert" opinions. Some of them are paid reviews/opinions anyway.

---------

If you're wondering what he did in the past, check this:

For those noobs who don't know who John McAfee is:

1. John McAfee is the person who promoted scam projects such as SimmitriToken and Zombie Coin
2. He charged ~20% of the total supply of the ICO, in exchange for the promotion
3. In other cases, he charged $105,000 for each tweet he made to promote the scam ICOs
4. He is suspected of involvement of the murder of Gregory Faull in Belize
5. McAfee fled to Guatemala, in order to avoid arrest by Belizean authorities

Good read. Who is next?

Are the questions fixed for all or you intend to mixed it up depending on who you interview?

How do you plan to maintain this thread by the way? I'm guessing members will be giving feedback on answers given by LoyceV and future interviewees but I'm not sure if that's your intention.

Edit: I'd nominate members who regularly posts on mining and technical boards.

Paying $1 million bounty for a social media account hack sounds desperate to me. It could be just another publicity stunt but it's also possible he must have done some (shady) deals thru twitter PM's and he's afraid hackers will reveal it soon. It would be interesting if the case is the latter.
