3561  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2022 NBA Season on: October 13, 2021, 08:51:00 PM
Lakers did not play bad, they just have chemistry issues for now because there are three players who build their whole careers out of being the main ball handler and then passing out. Lebron, Westbrook and Rondo. Rondo and Westbrook could play at different times, that can be arranged, but Westbrook and Lebron will need to learn to play together, which may take some time.

I still believe that they are by far the best team in the league right now. I know they are old, but they are also old but great players, not like they are bad now, sure most of them are beyond their peak nowadays but they are still playing like they are the best and that is what matters the most. I believe unless some big injuries happen, Lakers will cruise to 1st seed and championship.
3562  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Make money with Axie Infinity (SLP) on: October 13, 2021, 07:47:08 PM
Let's do a quick math and see how profitable SLP could be. One Axie costs around 180 bucks right now, with some decent team management to get a better version so you could win without running out of stamina, you could say 200 bucks per Axie is a good average.

You need 3 of them, which makes it 600 dollars total, give or take of course. Considering the costs of high gas fee, let's say you can build a team for 750 bucks easily, sure it won't be the best but it won't be the worst neither. So, you spent 750 dollars, and now you want to earn money right?

Well, with the PVE part without fighting others, you could get 75 SLP per day, it would be difficult to be perfect each day, but you could be good at some days and fight PVP as well and earn more. Solets assume the average for a newcomer is 75 SLP per day. How much is one SLP right now? $0.071 meaning 7 cents. If you earn 75 SLP per day that makes it 5.3 dollars per day.

If you do it for a full month, it makes around 160 bucks per month. Meaning you would need to do this for nearly 5 months to break even, and then you will also have the Axies. If the income drops, it takes longer, and SLP price keeps dropping constantly as well, even Axie prices are dropping. I would not say it is the worst investment, but it certainly doesn't look like the best neither.
3563  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: price of CAKE $50 realistic? on: October 13, 2021, 06:38:21 PM
I do believe that 50 and even 100 is realistic for cake. Only thing keeping it right now is the fact that it is not getting the attention it deserves. It is a token that keeps on producing more and more for people who invest and the price is still standing strong. Normally people expected it to go down a lot because of how much rewards it was giving away, but turns out it is not really that bad, it is doing fine and I believe the same thing, it will keep on being strong.

The moment people realize that it will not be doing bad, then we will be doing fine, all we need is a little bit more attention towards it and it will go viral once again. In a world where you could make nearly 2x with staking, and the price is not falling that is just a dream come true. I hope that it will do better and I believe we will do better with it, I have a good chunk of it and I am staking it right now, so I could be a little biased might be shilling it, so maybe we should hear from someone who doesn't own any and why they do not own any.
3564  Economy / Economics / Re: Taiwan invasion - how would it affect bitcoin on: October 12, 2021, 05:23:01 PM
Considering semiconductors do get manufactured in Taiwan this much, and how western nations buy probably nearly all of it, I would assume that there is a good chance in any "real" war, as in like guns and airplanes and all that, I would assume that we would probably see a lot more western nations go into this war as well. Kind of like how Korea was split into two, there wasn't a real winner there, nobody actually won, NK ended up ruining the life of so many people with the help of China.

I am afraid that there could be North Taiwan and South Taiwan by the same logic, it could actually make things a lot harder and that’s what scares me the most. Let’s hope that there is no war and let’s hope that China doesn't do something stupid.
3565  Economy / Economics / Re: When will the role of fiat currency disappear against crypto. on: October 09, 2021, 06:58:54 AM
Role of fiat is to give power to nations, do not assume that it is to keep people going as a medium because it hasn't been that for a long time. We have been trading digits on banks for a long time, money itself is not needed, it could be anything, you could write in "14 chickens" on your bank account all we care at this point instead money and everything could be priced like that, "an apple worths 0.1 chicken sir" in a grocery store type of deal.

Hence, I would say that money is not the medium for giving or taking. It is however obvious that governments need to keep their power via making their fiat powerful against other nations, and crypto can't do that for them hence why fiat will never disappear.
3566  Economy / Economics / Re: The EU takes 9 more jurisdictions out of the Tax Heaven list on: October 08, 2021, 09:28:42 PM
With a global 15% tax rate, that would actually prevent companies to try to look for other places, they will flock to 15% one for sure, and still not pay the 20% in their own nation, because that extra 5% is a lot for them, every single dollar matters, hell these are the companies who collectively spend billions every year on trying to keep minimum salaries down all over the world.

So believe me, when I say even 5% would matter a lot for them. However having tax havens is not the way to go neither, as long as we have some minimum that we could go with then it is going to be at least a little bit more reasonable for nations to get taxes, and these super rich hiding their wealth will have a bit more hard time.
3567  Economy / Speculation / Re: Welcome to Uptoberfest on: October 08, 2021, 03:14:24 PM
Name is definitely a great one, uptoberfest Cheesy. We have started this month amazingly, I am not sure if we will be able to keep it going though. I mean think about it, the first week was so great with nearly 40% increase that, I doubt we could keep doing that back to back right? Even at 25% like CMC shows, at 54k another week would mean 67k and then another week with 25% would mean 84k and another week to end the month would be 105k.

So, if we keep the current run going with the same 25% weekly for the whole remainder of the month, we would have 105k by the end of the month. I am not saying it is impossible, this is crypto and anything could happen here, however I do see that as a little bit more unlikely let's say. Definitely a "technically possible" thing but quite improbable when you look at the market. Highest I believe it would be this month could be 70k+ and even that is great.
3568  Economy / Economics / Re: Is budgeting still effective in tackling the need to constantly withdraw money? on: October 08, 2021, 09:50:54 AM
All this makes sense and I personally try to be as self-sufficient as possible by having my own property, growing organic food, having access to clean water, and I plan to at least install solar panels to at least somewhat reduce electricity consumption. But a good part of the population lives in cities and in residential buildings where they have almost no ability to do any of the above - they are completely dependent on the system.

In addition to growing your food, you need to have the knowledge of how to do it in addition to the land, be ready to get your hands dirty, and also be lucky with the weather influences that have changed for the worse lately. Frequent summer hail storms combined with extremely high temperatures have significantly reduced agricultural yields around the world, and from personal experience, I can say that I have never experienced more heatwaves than this year. This only increased the cost of production in my organic garden even more, because I had to protect the plants from the sun with protective covers.

Still, the effort paid off, not only did I enjoy healthy fruits and vegetables (which I still have), but I filled the pantry with what will help me survive the winter, and of course I rely on BTC to help if needed Smiley
You do not have to reach to that level, you do not have to be self-sufficient in that sense. How about having enough passive income that you get to buy all those things without having to worry about money, that is still as good, believe me you will be even happier as well. Think about living in a world where you have enough money to pay for a penthouse in the talents building of your city, and you still do not worry about money in anything, have cooks and cleaners and all that.

Now that sounds like a very very wealthy situation right? You do not have to reach those levels to be self-sufficient in a city, just own your own apartment flat, just a small 2 bedroom place, then have enough passive income to pay for your bills and food needs, then you can even work for extra stuff, as long as you can pay your bills and food, you do not need anything extra, it would be great to go to movies once in a while, see a gallery, have a dinner outside and so forth but you can work for them and it would not take too much time.
3569  Economy / Economics / Re: Why exchanges are charging a big amount as transaction fee on withdrawal on: October 08, 2021, 06:27:02 AM
The problem with exchanges is that they are keeping billions of dollars worth of money in their own accounts, you are shown that you have some money there, but the reality is that as long as you do not withdraw that money is theirs to use and you are just given some digital proof that you have money in their accounts. Withdrawing becoming more expensive is because they want you to keep your money with them as long as possible, they are a great business model as long as they keep those billions of dollars in their accounts instead of letting you withdraw it.

Eventually exchanges will be like banks, most of them are like that already I am sure, where if everyone withdraws all their money all at the same time, economy crashes and they bankrupt because I believe not all of them have the crypto and fiat they claim they have and they have less. So, if we all withdraw all at the same time, they will not be able to pay us all and that will show how weak they are in reality.
3570  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Which alt coin is best investment for long term? on: October 07, 2021, 08:49:32 PM
ADA is certainly one that people are very excited about. The two different train of thoughts happen because it is already high and haven't provided anything extra just yet. If it is actually great then it will both do the smart contracts perfectly (haven't done it yet) and go high thanks to both all market going up so ada will go up too, and smart contracts will add some boost, even if it is not at ETH level it could still go up.

This makes it a long term investment, I am not expecting 100x from it, a 5x would be more than enough for me, and that could happen in the long term, like in 5 years, so that's fine by me, I can wait that much and all of this could happen as well. ETH is still great too, it could be second biggest but it has eth 2.0 coming up in a year or two which will make it a great one. UNI seems like it is a great one too, people still use it like crazy even with high fees.
3571  Economy / Economics / Re: Just because prices are high, doesn't mean that is a good investment. on: October 07, 2021, 07:42:28 PM
The amount of people who quit their jobs because they believe they will continue to make the type of profit they will make forever is way too high and it is very dangerous as well. People hate working nowadays, it is not like back in the day and we are not getting what we are worth, it is obvious that 90%+ of the world works for less than what they worth, and that is the biggest reason why we have so many wealthy people while having 100 million more than that poor people, for every billionaire there is 100 million people who are under poverty level.

So, people try to quit their job as soon as possible since it doesn't pay what they are worth, yet they do that as soon as they make some profit on crypto during bull run, and realize their mistakes during bear run and that is why it is such a huge problem, I do not know what could happen to prevent this, but it is definitely an issue in crypto.
3572  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Learn more about trading on: October 07, 2021, 06:52:49 PM
That is the thing that every trader must do if they want to make a profit from trading. With the changing of the market many times, learning about trading will not stop because if they do not learn, they will not be able to get the coin and make a profit. It needs time to learn, but that is worth doing because if you can master the lessons, you can adapt to the market situations and know what you need to do related to the market situation. You do not need to follow the trading signal because you can analyze it by yourself.
That constant learning is the hardest part of the deal. I try to learn as fast as I could but I am not really a genius or even that smart, I may sound humble but I really do not like math hence why it takes me time. And at the end of the day I see so many great traders who find multiple angles to trade in a week when I just end up reading about how to do it let alone actually do one.

So, it is not that easy because you keep learning and by the time you think you know, there is something new that you need to study and learn and get used to and when that is over it is another and it keeps going like that. It is really not as simple as I imagined it would be, and it is really a difficult part of the deal. I still enjoy it though, learning new things doesn't need to end up with a profit for me, learning itself is a great feeling, makes me feel like I am doing something to improve myself.
3573  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Understand trading on: October 07, 2021, 04:00:09 PM
Learning to read is important because for you to become a good trader, you have to be reading books that are written by professionals in this sector.
It is quite difficult to actually get into that mindset in most of the situations. I would hesitate to say that trading is a simply done thing, not the act itself but the idea of becoming a trader is not something that is easily done. This is why I believe that there are so many complications and so many losses in trading by so many people. If we look at it from just the trading itself approach, there is really nothing that too complicated that would make it difficult.

However, if we look at it from the becoming trader part then we realize that it is not really that easy and it becomes a big challenge in the long run and that is why I believe that we should be more careful about becoming a trader and focus on that part instead of just how to trade part, since the first one is a lot harder. Obviously, it could be both done but first is still a lot harder.
3574  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Shiba Inu pumping again on: October 07, 2021, 02:16:56 PM
This is the saddest part of the crypto world. We see some useless and worthless token that should have been 1 satoshi and even lower end up becoming higher and higher because people pump it themselves with their own money and then they keep claiming it is a good token because they spent money on it.

Yes it went up, but it went up because you got hyped about it as a community and nothing more, it is still a worthless one that has absolutely no purpose at all. If we have a rock, literally just a tiny rock, that someone paid a million dollars for, does that make the rock worth a million dollars, or does that make the guy who paid a million dollars for it an idiot? I would wager the second one is more likely. Shib is a horrible token that nobody should ever buy, not even buy a single shib if you could avoid it and that is why I do not agree that people who get super excited about this is ever right, everyone will lose their money from this investment, they should sell and get out as soon as possible.
3575  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Are there any real stablecoins? on: October 07, 2021, 09:34:39 AM
All stablecoins are decentralized coins that exchanges or others have used and created so far. Which means that you need to know which one is the best by looking at who supports it. This is why I am most comfortable with BUSD right now, because it is backed by binance itself, unless binance screws up and destroys it, there is no situation in the world where BUSD would collapse. This is why I prefer that one.

I am sure there are some others that people would prefer based on who supports it, but USDT never made any logic to me, obviously it is high because that was the first one that came out and people used it and it became popular so it is harder to dethrone it right now. However, it is obvious that there were absolutely no problems with Tether at the time as well, nowadays Tether is looked a little bit more shady and that is why it is losing some credibility.
3576  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Learn more about trading on: October 07, 2021, 08:09:41 AM
Watching videos on youtube will be the most effective way to learn about trading everyone can analyze the rules of trading by watching the video you will not find a good website but you can read PDF books which are very good for learning trading. You can try to understand the crypto market by yourself or you need to consider the list of topics before learning the trade has helped you increase your chances of winning.
It is obvious that not everyone will have the same method of learning. There is actually quite a lot of studies on this and there were like 12 different ways of learning for everyone, 4 main ones but even in those 4 main ones there were differences. If I remember correctly the ones I remember were listening, watching, reading, and action. So, while someone likes to listen, the other needs to see it to understand and another needs to read it without anyone talking, and the last has to do it themselves to understand otherwise they can't understand from just someone else explaining in any form.

So, that means youtube could be the most perfect way for you, or for some other people as well, but it could be not so great for some other people. This is why I can say reading on courses like udemy, watching youtube videos, and using demo accounts with fake money to trade, these three should cover it for everyone give or take, or at least best we can do.
3577  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Japan's national tax authority is stepping up its scrutiny of virtual currencies on: October 06, 2021, 08:05:08 PM
If they know or were able to track those 1.4 billion in taxes are pending then how are they not able to recover it from those peeps anyways?
As far as I know Japan was one of the country who legalised the bitcoin use including its OTC applications and beyond. I am not sure how they ended up in the tax debts like this. May be they did not see this through, like heavy usage of the BTC, peeps hiding the money in virtual form and what not.

I believe at some point peeps should be thinking about this. At least businesses should be considering paying their taxes. This will help the government as well as the Japanese to keep the legalisation of bitcoin alive in their country!

I mean there is one of part of world which still struggles the acceptance of BTC while here is Japan now, taking it all on the roots. Big penalties on their way I guess!!
Eventually every tax will be collected one way or another, that is how the governments work, you either bribe them to not pay taxes which is "tax" in the sense that you pay the government money to shut up about it, well the politicians at least, or you pay the regular tax. The only difference for us is the fact that one of them will actually be going towards us hopefully, yet even in that situation things that costs 1 dollar costs 10 dollars in government so that politicians could get rich.

This is how it is in my nation, I have no idea how it is in Japan but I assume not incredibly different I suppose. Japan is a very high end developed big nation, yet they still have these kinds of problems which shows us that they had no idea how to collect these taxes, no idea how to find them, hence it should have been known beforehand what they were planning to do before they let people be freely doing it.
3578  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin price is in a downtrend, will it last long or temporary? on: October 05, 2021, 07:41:49 PM
The recovery looks amazing, I am quite happy about it, unfortunately for me it is just waiting time now and there is nothing to do. I like the drops because then I get to buy some more, I try to find money here and there everywhere and work really hard to get some more money and buy more from the low prices.

However when it is high, all I do is just wait for it to go back down so that I can buy some more. One day the price will go up so high that I will just wait for it to reach even higher to sell and retire and I will not be buying more, I fear that day may come soon in few years. I already started buying some more on other altcoins so that I could keep doing what I am doing. This increase is great, let's hope it can sustain a little longer, it would definitely be great if it can because keeping high usually ends with a good big bull run as well.
3579  Economy / Speculation / Re: October Bitcoin bull month. on: October 05, 2021, 05:02:05 PM
This 20% increase in the price for the past week is not a show of bull run that will be coming in the future. That is the problem people have in the crypto world and that is why people end up losing money. Just because we went with one direction doesn't mean that it will keep on going that direction forever. Sure it could go up, it could be even 100k from here, it could keep on skyrocket, who knows what will happen? Nobody can say that it will not be good at all.

However just because it went up 20% doesn't mean that it will keep going up neither, maybe it went up and stays here and then drops back to 45k? Just as how 100k is unknown, drop is also unknown as well. Anything could happen in the crypto world and I believe we should be a little bit more calm about all these moves, overreacting to each move will only end up with us losing money for being too emotional.
3580  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Don't miss this opportunity to buy and hold BNB on: October 05, 2021, 01:38:30 PM
Why do you think BNB is a promising coin? You did not provide any facts or explanation. As well it is hard to believe that its price can double.

Lets me explain why I have such feeling. First, because BNB was meant to be a solution for expensive Ethereum transaction. BSC is almost a copy-paste of Ethereum blockchain. It helped in the beginning, but this can not push the price up forever. In fact BSC transaction fees also start to rise. Second - as Binance nearly force people to pass KYC, users outflow is inevitable. Third - holding BNB no longer give huge bonuses as previously. Previously users get decent rewards from launchpools, trading competitions and etc. Now you freeze thousands dollars worth BNB to get several dollars of reward.
I guess it is promising because it has Binance and BSC behind it and that is good enough reason to believe a coin can do amazingly. If you have world's biggest exchange and world's second biggest ecosystem behind a coin then that coin going up and continue to go up is not something unexpected.

I understand that there is a chance we could end up with nothing as well, every coin has that chance and BNB may go down under 50 bucks like it used to be, however do you really believe there is a good chance that may happen? I feel like there is a very tiny chance for that to happen.

This is why I believe there needs to be a clear indication of what BNB could be used for. BNB is used for both trading on binance, which is the biggest exchange in the world so it means BNB is used a ton for trading fees, millions of dollars every single day, and it is used for BSC transaction fee as well, which is again millions of dollars every day. There is good enough reason to buy and spend it, which makes it go up.
