361  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: UTRUST (UTK) -- Hidden Gem? on: January 09, 2018, 05:26:57 PM
They got more than $20 million from investors, current market cap is $200 million, that's a lot for a pretty much useless ethereum token from a company without a functioning product.

Does this really fit the 'hidden gem' project?

Perhaps 'overhyped vaporware startup' is more suitable. Cheesy

Not that many projects that have a way higher market cap have a working product yet. This project looks quite promising and if they deliver within the dates in their roadmap i think this project will explode.

Lots of 'overhyped vaporware startups' out there. Cheesy

Even if they get successful, I'm really skeptical about real demand for their token, it is not necessary for their business to operate or for users to use it.

Only purpose is to raise money from investors.

There's no Paypalcoin or Bitpaycoin and they work just fine.
362  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: My 2018 portfolio on: January 09, 2018, 05:19:32 PM
Hi all,

Over the past weeks, I took some profits of my SC & ADA investment, and now I want to optimize my portfolio for 2018 hold, with steady profits throughout the year.
I want to equally divide my portfolio with the following coins:

NEO
BAT
REQ
BNTY
OMG
ARK
FUN
POE
XLM
ADA
SC

Now, as you can see, 11 coins is a lot (and maybe to much) of variety of coins.
How would you do it?

Are there coins you would drop / add / invest more in?

Rgds!

That's a pretty good selection.

I've already sold all my XLM, do you believe it still has much room for growth?

Why are you keeping ADA?

I tried to post a screenshot but I guess that option isnt open.
Says sold: 6.58 /$1801.81
Price $277.97
Payment method: My bank
Fee: $27.25

I was even more shocked they only took 24 hours

That's the 1.49% Buy/Sell fee.

In that particular trade it was a bit less, it was 1.39%.

That's far from 10%, you need to practice more your math skills. Smiley

https://support.coinbase.com/customer/portal/articles/2109597-buy-sell-bank-transfer-fees

You need to practice your reading skills, I already addressed that 1.5 % in my first post... and that's NOT a buy sell price because it was already purchased and sitting in my wallet!

Yap, I got the percentage wrong, it's 1.49%.

If you sold 6.58 LTC at $277.97 each litecoin, that's $1829.04 and when you deduct 1.49% fee, 1829.04*0.9851, you got $1801.74, and the fee is 1829×0.0149 which is $27.25.

If bank transfer is free, you get $1801.74 in your bank account.

preferia levantar numa atm. o Kraken tb posso??

Coinbase só esta disponível nos States.

Bitstamp podes achar as taxas um bocado elevadas, que são bastante maiores que a competição.

Hello Im new on this forum, can you help me to choose good coin for me? I have only 200€ to spend, I was thinking about ETH/LTC but is it worth when I have only 200? Or should I try my luck with something cheap.

Search projects with small market cap, less than $20 million, invest in 3 or 4.

Look for good fundamentals, active development, community, real use case.

Stay away from ICOs and Ethereum tokens.

Don't buy what people are shilling you in the forums, they just want to sell their bags.

It's the first time I have sold! So do they really, seriously charge TEN freaking percent to sell?  Oh my god that's a lot of money!!!!  So if I happen to hit it big and I want to sell $20,000 worth, CB is going to take $2,000?  That sounds like highway robbery to me.

I've sold and withdrew from Coinbase a few times, fees are negligible, don't know what you're talking about.

Are you from USA?

Maybe it's you're bank taking the money.

373  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What do you say to the naysayers even now as BTC and Crypto reaches $1Trillion? on: January 08, 2018, 05:45:52 PM
There are so many critics out there in the world, but as every day passes, we see the market cap of Cryptos get closer to $1 Trillion.

At what market cap will these critics turn out to be suppoters?

Do they need to see every single human being use it before they decide to join in on the finance revolution?

You don't have to say anything, this is not a religion, not a sports team, not a company, if this technology is useful, time will prove it.
374  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Is Coinmarketcap a scam? on: January 08, 2018, 05:08:52 PM
I understand your position, but we can admit that these accusations only happen in relation to Coinmarket, because it is the most visited site, any error is fatal, 92% of the investors of Bitcon and altcoins depend on that site, it's something to think about.

How do you know it's the most visited site and in what manner investors in bitcoin and altcoins 'depend' on it?

Where did you get the 92% figure?
375  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Is Coinmarketcap a scam? on: January 08, 2018, 04:44:05 PM

You're giving too much credit to that website, it's just metrics.

Much bigger things are happening:

You think Coinmarketcap.com caused this dip?

Why do you think that?

Boas,

Podes trocar Ethereum directamente por euros em Bitstamp.net ou Coinbase.com.

Após trocares as outras alts por bitcoin podes trocar por euros no Bitstamp.
