361  Other / Meta / Re: Negative user in default trust 1 on: February 16, 2016, 09:55:20 PM
It does not make sense at all.
He should be remove from default trust or the red feedback should be removed.

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?action=profile;u=3420

there's a thread about this here. maybe you'll find your answers there (didn't read it).

His trust show red to general users now. Is he one of thermos cronies?

only the overall rating, it's still 1 negative and 15 positive (and it's orange). ask therm-- err theymos.

It's not clear to me if this newbie account is just one of the typical people who trolls dooglus and is trying to get more attention or if the person is merely ignorant.  In any case, there's just no such thing as "an overall rating".  Everyone's rating is different for each person, you can be red/green/orange, it just depends on what you want in your trust list.

Default trust should be viewed as role model with no trusted red feedback on their profile.
362  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: What makes a new gambling website stand out? on: February 16, 2016, 09:51:31 PM
In my opinion, poker is where the biggest gap is at the moment.  It used to be solidly filled by sealswithclubs but not it's been over a year and they're still in their regressed, windows-only state.  At some point, someone is going to actually get bitcoin poker working on a variety of platforms again and I think that person will pretty much clean-up.

A gambling site should have all the real casino features and functions, all the games we play in a real casino.
An 3D look and feel will attracts more gamblers.

You know about dragon's tale, right?
363  Economy / Gambling / Re: SwCpoker.eu | No Banking, Only Bitcoin | Bitcoin Poker 2.0 LIVE NOW! on: February 16, 2016, 09:39:14 PM
Yeh, CrossOver ($39.95) is paid version of Wine (developed by same guys but probably works better than Wine.) SWC doesn't work on Wine, but perhaps it does on CrossOver (on linux - obviously it does on OS X.) I am a bit lazy to try the trial, but would be nice if someone tries Tongue

I doubt I'd pay for a windows emulator.  Actually, I know that I wouldn't .  Nevertheless, I would be interested to know the result if anyone puts this to the test.
364  Other / Meta / Re: Default Trust Visualisation [Picture Heavy!!!] [14th Sept] on: February 15, 2016, 09:12:51 PM
... and provides it to the software, so it should be pretty quick to update it over time, or provide other variants or custom trust lists.

how often is going to update drawings? when to wait for the new drawer?
regards

I take a look at the trust list dumps and very little is changing week to week. So maybe every 3 months unless there is a big change, or a need to see the impact of a big change.
just bump, that is not forgotten Smiley

Its not forgotten, I just don't think much has changed. The trust dump file has increased from 234kb to 250kb in 3 months, a 7% increase. When it gets significant enough I'll run it all again.
Changed file size means only  the increasing number of account, I do not think that interesting another "fake"rookie circle , more interesting transition between the top levels,
and this is not  reflected in kb  Smiley

If escrow.ms is going to be removed from level 1 or others are going to be considered for 'promotion' and this will help in that decision, I'll run it again. The program used is crazy unstable and I'm on a different, W10 computer so it might not even be possible.

I'll wait on opinions as its 4-6 hours work for the entire thing.

If it's at all possible to release your code then you might find someone else with compute power to spare who wants to run it for you.
365  Economy / Gambling / Re: SwCpoker.eu | No Banking, Only Bitcoin | Bitcoin Poker 2.0 LIVE NOW! on: February 15, 2016, 09:11:20 PM
A solution for some people is a dual boot PC.  Mine can boot into Linux or Windows XP.

And I can also WiFi tether my cell phone to that ancient laptop, so that I can play SwC from anywhere there is a phone signal.

It is dirt cheap, very portable, and it works flawlessly.  I realize that it is "too many moving parts" for widespread use.  A more simple solution is necessary.

Indeed, there are all sorts of workarounds for people who are willing to install weird OSes on a) old machines b) virtual machines, etc.  But what's not clear is why:

1) after 14 months, there's not some sort of universal client, which really should have been the first thing
2) there's not some sort of support for at leasts one other os other than windows,
3) there's not any sort of effort to get their software working with WINE

For me, it's sad.  I loved Seals.  RIP.
366  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: Just-Dice.com : now with added CLAMs : Play or Invest on: February 15, 2016, 09:08:38 PM
Though i think for a seller it would be smarter to do a public auction or something. There are enough people who would buy and most probably this person would receive way more than he would by dumping a big amount of clams on an exchange.

This is something I've never understood. Someone always does that -- dumping and losing 80-90% of their value in the process. You can exit most coins over a period of just a week or so by doing smaller sales.

The thing that happened with the digger was even worse. He pushed the price constantly, lowering his profits on the way even further by pushing others to go out.

On the other side, maybe selling such a huge amount of clams would have been too hard? Don't know if so big buyers are out there.

It's not hard. You just stagger the sales. With CLAM it's ridiculously easy due to volume. Basically, let's say you want to exit asap and the price is 0.001 BTC. You would list:

5% 0.001
5% 0.0099
5% 0.0098

and keep going down. Which does two things: 1) it creates a bit of a wall which usually pushes the price UP instead of down, and 2) minifies the damage done by a dump.

it may minify it, but it won't minimize it

Minify is the Ministry of Wi-Fi in Orwell's sequel to 1984, tentatively titled, "Fast and Furious Google - or Mike Hearn's Revenge".  Plot summary - Mike Hearn drives down the A1 from London to Cornwall on the wrong side of the road.  Stops to pick up lead singer from Spice Girls cover band.  Catches STD, fired by R3, goes to work for Blockstream as Greg Maxwell's pool boy - arrested in Halted for trying to shoplift Raspberry Pi - bailed out by cypherdoc using Hashfast preferred stock.

I'm not seeing how Hearn is in any way related to CLAM... I've never heard of him being heavily invested in it.

Pretty sure it's some sort of sarcasm which the author just needed to get off his chest.  Seems the CLAM thread just happened to be the one open when TDFB needed to express himself.
367  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][CLAM] CLAMs, Proof-Of-Chain, Proof-Of-Working-Stake, a.k.a. "Clamcoin" on: February 12, 2016, 07:48:30 PM
I am trying to build Clam-qt on a (virtual) Linux 14.04 LTS 64 bit. Installed all dependencies but when I run ./automake I get this error:

Code:
Makefile.am:5: warning: user variable 'GZIP_ENV' defined here ...
/usr/share/automake-1.14/am/distdir.am: ... overrides Automake variable 'GZIP_ENV' defined here
Makefile.am:46: warning: user target 'distcleancheck' defined here ...
/usr/share/automake-1.14/am/distdir.am: ... overrides Automake target 'distcleancheck' defined here
src/Makefile.am:221: warning: user target '.mm.o' defined here ...
/usr/share/automake-1.14/am/depend2.am: ... overrides Automake target '.mm.o' defined here

what am I doing wrong?

It looks like those are only warnings.  It's letting you know that it's messinga round with some of your environment (GZIP_ENV) and makefile targets.  If you run ./configure && make after this, does it actually error?
368  Economy / Gambling / Re: SwCpoker.eu | No Banking, Only Bitcoin | Bitcoin Poker 2.0 LIVE NOW! on: February 12, 2016, 07:27:27 PM
Please bring back an android app.  I used to love playing Sealswithclubs, but haven't played since the android app went away.

I think they're kinda underestimating the number of folks who are in that situation.
369  Economy / Gambling / Re: SwCpoker.eu | No Banking, Only Bitcoin | Bitcoin Poker 2.0 LIVE NOW! on: February 10, 2016, 04:11:43 PM
Definitely disappointing, but they have been very reliable on cashouts, and there are some other advantages, so I am not likely to leave.  SwC has potential.
Well I'm not going to buy a copy of windows just so that I can play seals.  I wish they'd bring back some way to at least login to the website.  Alas.

You don't have to buy it..you can get windows preview versions for free all the time.
http://windows.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/preview-how-to?ocid=tp2_nav_howto

Then install free Virtual Box in your host OS and then install windows in the virtual box
https://www.virtualbox.org/manual/ch02.html

or play on web at nitrogen
https://nitrogensports.eu/r/293779
thought they need more players, its  instant deposit instant withdrawl in BTC

Thanks, I'm interested in anyone who supports non-windows solutions.  I really can't be bothered to fuck around with virtual OS just to play a poker game now and again.

I just found this thread: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=242962.5020;topicseen

And I'm wondering what's up with the two JD threads.
373  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: Just-Dice.com : Invest in 1% House Edge Dice Game on: February 04, 2016, 08:21:52 PM
Would like to thank Dooglus and his team at JD for the last few days.

Many of you know me as Randall from both Primedice and Just-Dice.

In the last 3 days, I went my Total Profit went from -230 to +1 CLAMs, and I tipped out 200+ CLAMs, profiting only 20 for myself.

I had a ton of fun betting and chatting.  You have a lot of very good Moderators, Dooglus.  And I told you before I really enjoy the fact that my investments stake.

PD will always be my home, but I do consider JD my vacation house.  The last couple days have been a lot of fun for me, and I'm happy I was able to win back my losses and share them with the community.

Thanks JD!
Lol.... +66 CLAMs now... Cheesy

EDIT:  96 CLAMs woooooo!

Good job, maybe it's time to withdrawal!
374  Economy / Gambling / Re: SwCpoker.eu | No Banking, Only Bitcoin | Bitcoin Poker 2.0 LIVE NOW! on: February 02, 2016, 07:09:44 PM
But of that percentage they are still losing the chunk of players who were using browser version of pokersoftware.....not to talk about the ones who used to play from their smartphones and tablets

...and let me add the last consideration: in bitcoin world (where seals operates) I guess that those percentage (OS usage I mean) should be really different if not almost inverted.
OMG

Forget about OSs...

All those years have passed and SwC has no Browser version for players yet?

Come on...!!!

^^^This.  You can argue all day about whether windoze is still cool.  But in the end, everyone has a browser and that's a pretty crucial element as to why the old seals had a player base.  After one year they're still windoze only and I still haven't gotten my old username or krill because you can't even log into the website.  I used to love seals.   I believed them for a while when they said "hold on, normal clients are coming soon".  Now I don't believe them anymore.  RIP swc.  If you ever get some working software, let me know!
375  Economy / Gambling / Re: Dragon's Tale - a Massively Multiplayer Online RPG/Casino on: January 29, 2016, 04:12:50 AM
your game is never interesting, i have never seen a gambling website that is created as a game, i will surely download it and try it out with my funds, hopefully i will win some money here

I'd like to hear peoples' theories as to what that is.

NO one can be that fucked up, and still remember how to type.  It just doesn't happen.

My first guess is that it is some sort of whip-ding bot.  Now, I'm from a whole 'nother century... and I don't know a lot about 'bots'.  But I do know this much:  A modern-day third grader could write a better performing bot than this thing apparently is.  I mean, like, this thing is beyond every conception of silliness known to modern man!~

Obviously, there is some form of intelligence behind it (If you like:  Someone had to have had enough light between the ears to turn on some sort of computer or phone or whatever is out there these days, in order to've made the post, for example), but, to re-iterate, the post is beyond, WELL beyond, every modern-day conception of silliness.

A stunning achievement, when you think about it.

I guess I need to raise my hat!~

</raises hat in salutation>

Lol.  My best guess is it's someone who's not very good at English.  As you say, someone is clearly trying to say that they want to try it and hope to win.  It's the "never interesting" which stands out.  It  was probably supposed to be "looks interesting"  or something like that.

Can somebody help me?

Maybe you closed the wallet?  You can click on "open wallet" and browse your files to reopen it.
377  Economy / Gambling / Re: SwCpoker.eu | No Banking, Only Bitcoin | Bitcoin Poker 2.0 LIVE NOW! on: January 21, 2016, 12:13:11 AM
... ~10BTC per month they were paying out in them to fund better promos that encourage play on the site.

If they are dropping 10btc a month on promos, why on earth do we not have a working client 13 months after the old sealwithclubs closed?  It's clear that their player base needs something other than a broken windows client in order to be able to access the site.  Windows is the 90s, most people use other OS's now.  I can't be bothered to install a bunch of virtual machine software on an arm9 in order to try to run windows just for some poker.  It's better to just do something else.
378  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: Just-Dice.com : Invest in 1% House Edge Dice Game on: January 14, 2016, 01:13:14 AM
idk, maybe additional credibility could be given to a sketchy site that does not deserve such credibility, maybe you could encourage people do deposit their hard earned btc into a site that is run by someone with a less-then-perfect history, or maybe you would cause an influx of deposits to a site that eventually ends up "loosing"/stealing hundreds/thousands of btc from their customers/investors

You're dredging up posts from 2013 from when Just-Dice accepted deposits from users of a site (inputs.io) which ended up losing or stealing its users' funds.

If I had a crystal ball I would look into the future and never do business with people who would scam in the future. But I don't.

There are a lot of scammers around Bitcoin. It would be very hard to do business if you were to be held accountable for their future actions each time you dealt with one of them. You yourself must have given your "defacto endorsement" to many people who turned out to be scammers.

In other words, you accepted a large "investment" in your bankroll in exchange for your defacto endorsement of one of tradefortress's websites, then you allow for such investment to be withdrawn without giving notice to those to those that you were endorsing inputs.io to, and a mere days later inputs gets "hacked" for 4kBTC+, likely causing losses to some of the people who deposited btc to inputs because JD accepted instant deposits from inputs......

No, as usual you have it wrong.

  * TF had been an investor in the bankroll long before he proposed that I accept inputs.io deposits. There was no "in exchange for". Just-Dice had too much investment already. I would have preferred to have less of it. I didn't benefit in any way from associating with inputs.io other than 1) it stopped TF from nagging me on a daily basis about accepting inputs.io deposits and 2) it made instant deposits possible for inputs.io users.

  * I never endorsed his site.

  * I allowed him to withdraw only the part of his investment that was left after he paid his debt to me.

I get it. You have some kind of need to discredit me by making it look like I associate with scammers. I has no doubt happened that I have been tricked by scammers into believing that they were offering legitimate services. I don't know what to do about that other than to never speak to anybody.

I am sorry that people lost money to inputs.io, and to dice.ninja, and dicebitco.in, and MtGox. Yes, I probably have mentioned at some point in the past that I have used MtGox. Maybe you could find a post where I talk about being a customer of MtGox and somehow twist things to make it look like I am responsible for people losing coins when they shut down. Oh, I once invested in a "Pirate Passthrough" too, and had some coins with that starfish guy too. They both ended up running off with user coins as well. Perhaps you could find a way of blaming me for those two scams too.

Please don't be offended if this is my last response to you on the subject.

Dooglus, it's over-the-top kind of you to keep replying to his attempts to twist things around in some sort of desperate effort to rebuild his ruined reputation around here.  I was going to hit the 'report to moderator' button as necro-bumping and trolling aren't supposed to be allowed, but I saw that you already took the time to debunk him.

Anyway, the good thing is that even though QS continues to spill bile on this forum, he seems to be doing it at much less of a rate than he used to, and now that his trust rating properly reflects his MO, his rants seem to get a lot less attention---which is how things should be.
379  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: buymyaccount is trying to scam accounts on: January 14, 2016, 01:04:01 AM
With Vod, I would actually not be surprised if this would work, as there have been a number of instances in which Vod openly admitted to leaving negative trust for personal reasons and removed negative trust once the ownership was changed.
^^Even -47 Trust doesn't stop him from trolling Roll Eyes

In case anyone is interested in creating some proof-of-burn addresses like 1TestxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxzoXNkw:

https://gobittest.appspot.com/ProofOfBurn

The last five numerals/letters come up the same if I change the single letter/numeral and come back to the first. 1ForTheMoney444444444444443yCnh1H

What's the purpose of these? (Yes, I can see it says burn - really? Just throw away BTC ?)

*edit* Last between five and seven numbers/letters

I know, it seems like insanity to me.  But if you want more info on it, you can start here:  https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=26539.0
